1. How much do you spend traveling ?
I do not have a car so when it comes to city I often use public transport. In summer I try to commute by bike as much as possible because it is sometimes faster and more healthy than being in crowded bus full of people. To be honest costs are not that high, even when I use veturilo instead of my own bike.
2. How often do you use taxi/uber services?
I call uber only in winter when there is cold and no other option to get where I want in reasonable time or when I am late and I need to change my location really quickly.
3. What’s your opinion on self driving/flying vehicles?
Right now I am quite sceptical about both of them but I quess that people need to just get familiar and their (and mine) attitude my change with time. At this moment I would be afraid to use any of them.
4. Would you try autonomous flyings taxi like the one shown in the video above?
I would like to try as it seems to look really cool, however as I said I would be probably afraid of an accident that may happen as this is still something unusual.

Thank you for your comment! I like the fact that you're biking because in my opinion this is an awesome way of commuting, of course when it's not freezing cold. I agree with your opinion about autonomous flying taxis, and I think that you're not the only one that would be a bit scared to try it.
If the first question concerns time, then I spend like two hours traveling to work/school per day. If you are asking about money, then it is about 400 zł per month, but that is mainly because of traveling by car and public transport during the winter season. Once the weather become better, I use my bike for traveling. I use a taxi only when I need to get to or from the airport. I would love to try an autonomous flying taxi, not being stuck in traffic jams causes huge amounts of time saved.
I mainly use public transportation, since it is super convinient and developed in Warsaw. I anticipate flying viechiles, however, I see that there is a very long road ahead before they are merged in everyday life.

Thank you for the comment! I'm sorry but I have just noticed a mistake in the question - there should be "How much time...". Maybe it will be possible to try this new way of transport soon. Probably it won't be available in Poland in the nearest future, but definitely it will be possible somewhere in the world.

How much do you spend traveling ?
Very little, I live in the center almost all near me.
How often do you use taxi/uber services?
Also very rarely use the services, only if I go for a walk in heels and come back late.
What’s your opinion on self driving/flying vehicles?
I'm sure it will happen in the future. On the roads will reduce traffic and people will spend less time on travel
Would you try autonomous flyings taxi like the one shown in the video above?
I think most would like to try to fly and I'm no exception.
Don't worry, everybody makes mistakes. Actually this mistake led to opportunity to write about both aspects so it turned out to be a good thing :)
I spend more or less 1 hour in traffic from Monday to Friday, which makes it almost one whole day in a month. I used taxi/uber services very rarely, literally a few times in my life. I usually travel by bus, which is quite comfortable in the morning. I have to admit that when I am trying to return to my home, I usually stuck at traffic jam for 10 or 15 minutes.
I think that self driving vehicles are future of traveling, I am really excited to see this. In my opinion autonomic cars can even help reduce traffic jams. Imagine, if every vehicle would be driven by computer, they can be easily connected together, so that traffic optimization algorithms can be applied. In case of flying vehicles, I think it is absolutely necessary to make them autonomous. Average human has problems with driving car in just 2 dimensions, thousands of people trying to do this in 3 dimensions would be catastrophically. However, I don’t think this would solve completely traffic problems in the huge cities. Despite adding new dimension, there are really not so much space in the air between huge buildings. What is more, such flying taxi can carry only one person, and in the rush hours there are thousands of people who want to travel somewhere. In my opinion, in such cases, only public transport, which can carry dozens of people or even hundreds (in case of trains) offers real solution.
Yes, I would like to try such autonomous flyings taxi, I think it would be amazing experience.

On weekdays I spend about one and half hour on traveling, on the weekends it about 30 minutes.
I almost don’t use taxi. I use taxi only when traveling to another country. Last time I use taxi 2 month ago.
Flying vehicles and self-driving vehicles it’s our future for sure. Nowadays many companies develop flying cars and I think that in the nearest 10 years we will see them on the streets. Flying taxis will reduce number of traffic jams.
Yes, I would try autonomous flying taxi, when the taxi will pass all test and gets all permissions from government, I wouldn’t try prototypes.

I travel several times a month. Together with my girlfriend, we often go outside the city.
As for the uber, I think I use 2-3 times a week. This is a very convenient solution.
I think that there will be more and more solutions without human participation in any area of life, not only in the field of transport.
Yes, I would gladly use such transport.
Unknown said…
I try to reduce my traveling time as much as possible. If I know that I have my classes and then I will have to go to the gym, I will rather take 2 bags then coming back home and spending lots of time once again. I would say that I spend around 1.5 - 2 hours per day traveling.

I use taxi/uber quite rarely because public transport infrastructure is really advanced in Warsaw and there is no need for me to use a taxi.

I can’t say a lot about flying vehicles because it’s growing just now and I don’t have enough knowledge about this topic. The idea of self driving vehicles sounds more realistic for me but I’m afraid it’s too early to present this idea to the community.

Of course, I would like to try autonomous flying taxi but I am a little bit scared about that. First of all I would like to see the other using it and some opinions before trying flying taxi on my own.

That's true, public transport in Warsaw is developed quite well but the roads in rush hours are stuck and so are buses.
Cezary Róg said…
Thanks for your comment! I think that many people use taxis for airport transfers because it's the easiest. But in Warsaw we have SKM that goes also to the airport making it very often cheaper. The only kind of problem is that it's not "door-to-door".

I spend 2 hours every day getting to work and returning home. This is a very long time, during which time I could do something important. On this English course there was a topic that people drive in a car themselves or at least with one passenger, this topic prompted me to go to work by public transport. Such an experiment led to the fact that I no longer want to travel by public transport, because by car it is more comfortable to drive into the store, to study, after work I can meet with friends. I rarely use taxi services. Yes, of course, such a taxi would solve many questions: time, comfort. I think that this type of transport is excellent, but it is necessary to create helipads more and probably conduct training "control" of this vehicle.
I’m a happy owner of a car and I live in Muranów so I don’t spend much time travelling even if I’m stuck in a traffic jam. I’m able to reach any destination within Warsaw urban area within 30 minutes.

I use Uber or Taxi only when I need to, e.g. after consuming alcohol or before doing so. I also use them when I go to a place where I expect to have a problem with finding parking spots.

I think self-driving and flying vehicles are definitely going to happen. People have been expecting them, for decades now, and in my opinion, it’s only a matter of time and technology. Of course, I wouldn’t use them immediately when they’re introduced due to safety reasons. I would wait at least 1-2 years to make sure that state of self-driving AI and gravity-defying technology is stable and safe.

I spend about 2 hours daily traveling to work and rarely travel anywhere besides Warsaw. I use Uber quite frequently at least once a week. Flying vehicles are not practical right now, I can imagine that in the future we will be traveling solely with flying cars but right now technology doesn’t allow for such a science fiction. To me flying taxi is just a dumb idea why wouldn’t you just use helicopter?

How much do you spend traveling ?

Not so much, because I have a lot of things to do. I think that in a few years I will travel a lot more than right now.

How often do you use taxi/uber services?

Almost every week, when I can't use car (my girlfriend sometimes takes it)

What’s your opinion on self driving/flying vehicles?

I think that it's an good idea, but it needs some more time to change normal taxi vehicles to autonomous ones.

Would you try autonomous flyings taxi like the one shown in the video above?

Yes, I love testing new things :)

How much do you spend traveling ?
- Not so much because I mostly travel by bus so I would say something about 50 zlotych per month.
How often do you use taxi/uber services?
- From time to time, I usually do this when I do not have much time.
What’s your opinion on self driving/flying vehicles?
- I like this idea but we have to test it really well before we can use it on a daily basis.
Would you try autonomous flyings taxi like the one shown in the video above?
- Probably not, because I am scared of flying.
I don't have my own car and most of time I use public transport. For me it's very comfortable and fast. I use taxi only when have a lot of baggage or heavy baggage, because it's very difficult to get for example to airport when you have heavy baggage by public transport. It's very cool idea but I can't imagine how this system will work. Because if something goes wrong with your engine in the car, the car will stop, but when the same things will be at the flying vehicle the consequences could be worse. Also, to my mind this type of taxi will don't work when the weather is bad. It is looks cool, but I will try it only when flying taxi get safety licensees.

How much do you spend traveling ?
Hmmm monthly I spend around 200 zł for fuel to my car.
How often do you use taxi/uber services?
I use uber or taxify maby one to three times a month. I use it mainly to go to parties where I drink and getting back home from them.
What’s your opinion on self driving/flying vehicles?
I think it is in early stages. In a couple of years it will probably replace humans for good but until then I will thrust my self ;)
Would you try autonomous flyings taxi like the one shown in the video above?

I feel mach safer close to the ground. I wouldnt trust flying taxi

During the week, I commute to work by car and tube at a 3:2 ratio and it usually takes me 2 hours to go back and forth everyday. During weekends, I use my car more often and 2-3 times per month I use services like Uber/Taxify. In terms of costs, I think it is approximately 500 PLN per month which I spend on transportation.
I really like the whole trend of autonomous vehicles because I think it will significantly contribute to reduction of road accidents. I would certainly try flying taxis if they were available at fair and reasonable price.

I usually spend 1 hour on traveling between home and work each day. I am lucky that there is not big traffic on my way to work.

I use services like taxi or Uber not too often. I prefer using public transport because it's more affordable.

I like the idea of self-riding, autonomous vehicles. I can imagine that they will replace typical ones. However, it's still in early stages. We will have to wait to see them in real life.

I would love to try them if they were at a reasonable price.
How much do you spend traveling ?
I don't drive my own car here in Warsaw. Only public transport, taxi and sometimes car-sharing. I spend approximately 60 PLN on public transport , taxi about - 80 PLN and car-sharing about 60 PLN. In terms of time, I live almost in centre so approximately 1 hour per day, but of course it depends on my schedule and plans.
How often do you use taxi/uber services?
Maybe 4-5 times per month and I prefer Uber.
What’s your opinion on self driving/flying vehicles?
I think, it's great. In near future self-driving cars will take place in everyday life, they will make roads safer. What's about self-driving flying cars, it sounds very futuristic but as I understood development of those is in full swing. And I hope we won't have air traffics.
Would you try autonomous flying taxi like the one shown in the video above?
I will wait maybe 10 years, then I will be sure that technologies are better and will order autonomous flying taxi. Firstly, our world is not fully ready for autonomous cars so let's wait, but maybe, I am wrong and flying taxi are our rescue.

I just buy City card to travel in my hometown and I think that's the only thing I spend on travelling.
I rarely use taxi/uber services.
I would like to see them in the future when they will become better than they are today.
I definitely would like to try autonomous flyings taxi like the one shown in the video above.
Unknown said…
Probably about half an hour a day. I don't really like commute especially when it takes about an hour to get to the place.
I've never used a taxi or uber before simply because, in my opinion, it's cheaper to use public transport.
I think we might see a one real working flying car prototype pretty soon. Although it might not be what we initially expected but it is fair to say that these small steps are crucial if we want to go further with the development of flying autonomous cars.
If they are safe to fly then yes why not.

How much do you spend traveling ?
I don't spend a lot of time traveling. I live near work and near school so during week I spend at most 5 hours moving around.

How often do you use taxi/uber services?
I use it very often during weekend. Especially when it is cold outside and don't want to take a walk or wait for public transport.

What’s your opinion on self driving/flying vehicles?
I like the idea of flying vehicles but I'm afraid that it is not gonna happen during my lifetime.

Would you try autonomous flyings taxi like the one shown in the video above?
I would definitely do that if I would have any occasion.

1. I think that during a one month I spent more or less 150-200 PLN on traveling: 50 PLN on card for traveling (by metro, by busses) and other part of this amount I spent for the Uber.

2. I use the Uber service every time I have to come back after parties.

3. It's really interesting and I hope that during my life it would be common to traveling by flying vehicles.

4. I wouldn't try autonomous cars so flying taxi is even worst for me. I think that we should wait few more years when we improved our AI algorithms.
A lot , but only when goping abroad I always take a plane. To be honest I commute to work by subway and bus I dont use taxi weekly only when returning from party.
I use taxify and uber , I dont use casual taxi as I find them frauds.
Well yes, only if I could afford it, It looks pretty expensive now.

How much do you spend traveling ?
From one to two hours each and every day. And I happy with this score, because a lot of people in Warsaw spend even up to four hours every day just commuting.

How often do you use taxi/uber services?
Pretty often and it is always uber/taxify. Their services are very cheap for what they're offering and sometimes it more economic to be for instance at work sooner, because at the time you're working (while you would commute by bus), you can get your money back.

What’s your opinion on self driving/flying vehicles?
Great. I've seen some tests of self driving taxis in Las Vegas and I was very impressed. I think flying could be even simpler to implement, because there so less obstacles in the air. However, the fear of breaking such vehicle and falling down is very discouraging.

Would you try autonomous flyings taxi like the one shown in the video above?
Yes, maybe I would not become an early adopter nor an alpha tester, but if I could see a stable and fully operating version of such a way of transportation, I would definitely use it.
I spend a lot of time traveling. It’s everyday driving to university, going to meet friends but not only. I travel a lot abroad or just to visit other cities in Poland, mostly by car, so it takes a lot of time. I only use uber or taxify if necessary and that means when I’m not able to drive because of alcohol. It’s around one or two times per month because in situations like that I more often use public transport. I’m not into self-flying vehicles because I don’t like flying but I’m definitely curious about self-driving ones. I would love to try “drive” one of this because it must be very convenient to just sit and don’t focus that much on driving. I would like to try autonomous flying taxi too, because of curiosity about something new, but I wouldn’t want to use it for a long time because I don’t like flying.

How much do you spend traveling ?

Not a lot really I live near all the places I need to visit frequently.

How often do you use taxi/uber services?

I use them when I need to get to some place really quick, or I have baggage to carry or when it's too late/early to use transit transportation.

What’s your opinion on self driving/flying vehicles?

I think it's cool in suburbs but I don't want to allows thousands of this vehicles to fly above my head.

I usually don’t travel a lot. But it is the case if we talk about international traveling, while traveling around the city takes a solid percentage of my time during the day. I used to view taxi as some kind of luxury. If you don’t own a car, you are doomed to use public transport. I am saying “doomed”, because all of us know this “wonderful” feelings of being stack , let’s say, in a bus without air-conditioning in a traffic jam. That’s why, sometimes, taxi is just absolutely needed. Regarding self-driving cars. I think it is the future. Every day we see how progress transforms our lives. And of course, self-driving cars are one of the fruits of our technological advancement. Of course, flying is harder than driving, since there is much higher chance of collision in the air. Yet, I think for AI system, it is not big of a difference. That’s why I would like to try it, when, after all the necessary testing, it will be officially announced. Of course, if it is not going to cost a fortune.

Week 12 (12.01-18.01.15) Are you an early bird or a night owl ?

Owls are nocturnal creatures. They’re wide awake at night and they sleep during the day. If this sounds like bliss to you, then, like about 20 percent of the population who find themselves most active at around 9 pm, you may fall into the same category as our feathered friend. Night owls often have difficulty waking up in the morning, and like to be up late at night.  Studies of animal behaviour indicate that being a night owl may actually be built into some people’s genes. This would explain why those late-to-bed, late-to-rise people find it so difficult to change their behaviour. The trouble for night owls is that they just have to be at places such as work and school far too early. This is when the alarm clock becomes the night owl’s most important survival tool. Experts say that one way for a night owl to beat their dependence on their alarm clocks is to sleep with the curtains open. The Theory is that if they do so, the morning sunlight will awaken them gently and natura...

Week 11 [03-09.06.2019] The problem with ecological cars emission in UK

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form. These can be particles of sea salt, clouds from the Sahara and artificial compounds made by people. These compounds...
