Week 6 [18.11 - 24.11.2019] Photorealism in 3D rendering

Photorealism is an art genre that got popular around 40 years ago when painters wanted to depict objects as real as possible. Throughout the next years artists got better and better at drawing reality onto canvas. The biggest leap was achieved in movies in late 90s where they would create a scene made out of models and use camera angles and movement to make it look realistic. Even though it looked really good, you could still see that those objects were not real. So after that we developed computer software to enchance or edit images and videos but still it wasn't enough. Then we created special engines to make 3D objects. Now i want you to look at the image below: source: https://3das.com Can you tell the difference? Are you 100% sure without a doubt which one is real and which one is 3D rendered? What about these?   source: www.worldofwaw.com   Which one is real, left or right? Week 6 [18.11 - 24.11.2019] - Swapping lives with a stranger for 72 hours

Social experiments have been always an exciting topic for me. These kind of experiments in Psychology is a category of Human Resources which test a human’s reaction to certain situation or event. As a thought-provoking example I consider the video of a hugely popular Youtube channel - Yes Theory. In the team of three they explore foreign cultures and social experiments. In the following video they find two strangers from different countries and swap their lives for 72 hours.  It is truly fascinating not only how people can accept such propositions, but also be able to enjoy the outcome of the experiment. Would you agree to spontaneously swap lives with a stranger? How do you react when a stranger asks you about something on the street? What is the weirdest proposition you have ever received from a stranger?

The 5 crucial points discussed in this presentation make a very good basis for the online security. Please watch and comment . 1. Have you been aware of all 5 laws mentioned in the video and do you know any other laws that the video doesn't cover? 2. If you discovered a vulnerability in your bank's system, would you exploit it or report it to them to fix it? 3. Have you ever been a victim of an online crime?

Week 6 [18.11 - 24.11.2019] How tech companies are taking financial market

How tech companies are taking financial market  The recent release of the Apple’s credit card has been a clear sign that the tech giants want to compete with the traditional financial institutions. The services like Apple Pay, Google Pay or Facebook Pay show that the companies that are best known for selling tech products, want to diversify the source of their income and provide easy to use and modern financial solutions. Their main advantage over traditional banks is an easy access to the best engineers and a good integration with their other services, which are already used by millions of customers all over the world. The above companies differ from each other a bit, however the main reason for their drift towards financial market is the same – a stagnation in the tech world. They all are well-known companies with a stable position in their market, which doesn’t seem to be developing that fast anymore. Moreover, none of these companies have released any revolutionary pr
