Week 2 [02-08.11] The Crocodile massacre in Guiness World Record book.

Everyone knows about Guiness World Record books. They are famous for storing, investigating and declaring the highest records  in diversity of themes.  From driving a  motorised  garbage bin at the speed of  69 km / hr , through the 190cm long hair in teenage category , to  33 hours of swinging without a break.  Of course,  these  are  only  a tip of the iceberg . Some records are bizarre, so me involve a lot of physical strength or agility  and others are bloody and brutal. The last perfectly summerize the story of  “ Most fatalities in a crocodile attack . ” world record.  It wa s set in 1968 and is connected to the battle of Ramree Island off Burma in February 1945 during the II World War . Week 2 [02-08.11] VanLife

Did you ever hear about vanlife? Many people travel around every place in the world in many different ways, for example they take a trip using a plain, train or even sail a boat and then secure accommodation in the form of a flat or a condominium. Another popular way to travel is with a big car which is designed to be a camper. Some people buy ready made equipment while, on the other hand, some people buy vans and reconstruct them to the own satisfaction. As a result, one can have a home on wheels and go where ever he wants and consequently stay as long as he wants. This video shows a woman who lives this way: Questions: 1.Would you want to live this way?      Some people think that body language is the most powerful language in the world. It is an international language of human being, because most of the gestures mean the same in other countries, even if someone is communicating with a person on the other side of the globe. Making gestures is an innate skill. The ethologist Irenäus Eibl-Eibesfeldt conducted research in which it turned out that even blind children show gestures in the same way as people who have eyesight, which proves that gestures are encoded in our DNA. Non-verbal body language includes: body gestures and movements, facial expressions, posture and orientation of the body, eye movements and pupillary reflex and ways in which someone uses interpersonal space.
