Week 6 [16-22.11.2015] YouTube Stars - a new type of celebrities

It was founded ten years ago (in 2005) as a startup, today it’s the biggest video-sharing website in the world with over 800 million+ monthly unique visitors, four billion hours of videos viewed each month (that’s over 450.000 years of videos viewed each month!). With the increasing popularity of YouTube, a new type of celebrities has been born - YouTube Stars. Who are they and where do they come from? Generally anyone can become a YouTube star.
