Week 12 [21-27.01.19] - Trailer Park Boys

Since it premiered on an obscure Canadian cable channel in 2001,
Mockumentary Trailer Park Boys has gone from an underground cult favorite to an international sensation,
as audiences around the world loved Ricky, Julian, and Bubbles.

Episodes revolve around Sunnyvale Trailer Park where our residents
are trying to make money through dumb crimes while avoiding the police.
Their schemes are complicated by the interference of the park's vindictive alcoholic supervisor

Jim Lahey and his assistant and lover, Randy.

Throughout the series, Ricky and Julian end up in and out of jail, with most of their schemes
collapsing into failure.

Some facts:

-Almost nobody was professional
Instead of professional actors many of the original cast were friends of creator.

-Slow Start
Trailer Park Boys debuted in 2001, but it didn't exactly set the world alight in its first season.
However when the cast visited Los Angeles in 2004 they were shocked to find everyone knew who they were despite
the fact that the show had never aired in the US

No, i've never seen Trailer Park Boys, but definitely i'm in love with documentary genre. One of my favourite documentary is "Dexter" tv series. Highly recommend to everyone!
I watched a lot of tv series in the past, for now, unfortunately, i don't have enough time for it. "Prison Break", "Breaking Bad" are my favourite, i think that every person should watch it.
Yes, i have netflix subscription, i've just bought it two months ago and that was the best investmenet i've ever made. I watched all the movies on english, last time i watched "Bird Box" and it was breathtaking.
I have never heard about Trailer Park Boys but it seems to be cool and I really like mockumentary genre. I have seen several year ago Polish mockumentary "Człowiek z reklamówką". It was funny, I recommend you to watch it. It tells a lot about post- communism in Poland.
I don't have netflix as now I dont have much time to spend watching tv series but I plan to buy it in nearest future as I heard about some good shows which I am willing to watch.

I've watched about 8 seasons of Trailer Park Boys and I love it. Funny and relaxing series- perfect for a 30min procrastination period after hard day in work. Or for a whole day (damn... my procrastination. But it was a good day :D )
One day I saw a meme with Rick, and then I started noticing a lot of memes and funny videos about Trailer Park Boys. So I was getting more and more curious about that series and one day I decided to check it on Netflix and BOOM- I got lost in Sunnyvale.
About mockumentary genre: quite enjoyable and funny. I also want to see The Office because it's also really popular mockumentary series.

About Netlifx and other series I really enjoyed Mindhunter. I recommend it to everyone because it's a great series and I can't wait for second seazon! Also Black Mirror is awesome and worth recommending. And I started watching Madmen and Wild Wild Country- this one is documentary about Osho's "sect" in Oregon.
I never watch tv or any films/series. For some odd reason all those activities seem too boring for me, and not a single movie has so far beaten the book in my personal top. However, I watched some Rundfunk on the internet, and enjoyed it. That s the only series I can reckon, you can find version with english subtitles on youtube.

first time I hear about this series and I do not like this genre
-How about any other tv series?
When I had more free time, I had a whole list of TV series that I watched a day, it was up to 10 TV series, but the part I mostly listened to and went about their business,so I don"t know how to look all the heroes of the game of thrones.

-Do you have netflix? What do you watch there?

I have never heard about this series, but when I watched the first few seconds of the first video, I remembered a TV series called The Bureau that I used to watch. The film crew showed everyday life in the office. The employees did a lot of pranks in this office.
Yes, I have Netflix. I've watched Titans and new Black Mirror recently.

Yes! I am lucky and I have seen it. It's a God's gift. I approached this with a little bit of distaste at first but then.. I loved it. This redneck lifestyle is fun to watch when I have some spare time, even with friends to laugh. I also like Mockumentary genre. I first read about it when I started watching The Office, which also had a humble start but then it got global.

I think I like it because of a piece of reality that is visible there, thanks to the camera. I do not watch much tv, neither series on netflix. Prefer movies, they take less time. But if

No, I’ve never seen Triailer Park Boys, but from what I’ve read I already like it. Generally documentary genre is one of my favorites. I like predicting future and paying attention to all the details.

My favorite serials is Narcos. For a long time I considered that watching serials was just wasting your time. C’mom there are so many interesting things in life that could be done. My close friend once told me about the Narcos and I understood that I was going to watch it. From the very first episode I fall in love with it. It’s the best thing I’ve seen so far. There are a lot of really fascinating and incredible movies but this serial is just what I wanted.

No, I don’t have Netflix because of lack of time but recently I’ve got my friend’s ororo account and I believe that I will find a while to watch a few series.

No, I have not watched this show before. Just read about this TV series on Wikipedia, I realized that there are strange characters, this strange guy with big caricature glasses is especially memorable. But seeing the trailer I realized that I would not like to watch this series, there’s nothing informative and a lot of crime and marijuana.
When I have time, I watch the Big Bang Theory. Previously, many other TV shows looked, some looked several times (for example, Friends). I do not have Netflix, but I also like their series (for example, Gotham), I watch it now.

-Have you seen Trailer Park Boys? Do you like such genre (Mockumentary)
No, never. I also never heard about such genre before. It doesn't look appealing to me I must say.

-How about any other tv series?
Well, a lot of them. Game of Thrones, Westworld, "Twierda Szyfrów" (best and only polish series I liked), Vikings (oh my god, they are fantastic), Lost in Space, Altered Carbon (can't wait for season two).

-Do you have netflix? What do you watch there?
I have ended Vikings. Now I will watch new Star Trek series and new season of Punisher probably. I like fantasy and science fiction. I watch to relax but also to forget about real world.
-Have you seen Trailer Park Boys? Do you like such genre (Mockumentary)
I haven't seen this show, but it seems to be funny. "Jeff ? You talked to Jeff" scene was funny :D

-How about any other tv series?
I don't watch TV, and I prefer movies than series currently, but in the past I was a fun of Lost and Stranger Things.

-Do you have netflix? What do you watch there?
Stranger things, John Wick, Jason Bourne and other movies

Yes! I do love this show, it's amazing and I can't wait till the next seasons are out! The whole idea behind it is very attractive and I had so much fun while watching the show. This is my kind of humour sense, and the whole form of the series is great.

-How about any other tv series?

I don't have that much time to watch TV, so something must be very good to attract me. Right now I'm watching second season of The Punisher and I think that it's quite good.

-Do you have netflix? What do you watch there?

Yes, I do. Right now I'm watching The Punisher, and few weeks ago I've finished a series called Peaky Blinders. It's great and I would recommend it to everyone!
-Have you seen Trailer Park Boys? Do you like such genre (Mockumentary)
I have seen the first episode. Didn’t liked it but I know memes around that show. From other Mockumentaries I have only seen Borat.

-How about any other tv series?
I like normal documentaries. Especially BBC Planet Earth series.

-Do you have netflix? What do you watch there?
I have. Unfortunately nothing. If I find some time I will probably start with BoJack Horsemen

I have never seen the Trailer Park Boys. This isn't a genre that I like to watch.

I love watching TV series, and there are quite a lot of them. When I have free time and I don't have anything to do, I like to watch a series on Netflix.

I have netflix, I watch a lot of original productions, the biggest hits like Narcos, House of Cards or Stranger Things.

I didn't see Park boys before but it was cool :D thanks for making a presentation about it! I don't mind good movies in this genre.

I watch a lot of tv series, the latest that I watched was travellers and it was awesome but right now I'm waiting for new series of Game of thrones.

I have netflix and normally I'm watching a lot of series like broolyn nine-nine or some new netflix series ;) to be honest I'm watching everything that comes out.
about this serries ... it's funny when you think aboot it, watching this show you'd think Ricky is the dumbest person in Canada. But compared to every person he cons, he's Albert Goddamn Einstein.

Unfortunately, I have never watched “Trailer Park Boys” and have never heard about this genre. I think I would need to watch one or two episodes to rate this show. When it comes to Netlfix, I have few favourite series: blockbusters like “Californication” and “Narcos” and recently I really enjoyed “Black Mirror” and “You” shows.

-Have you seen Trailer Park Boys? Do you like such genre (Mockumentary)
Yes, of course I have seen Trailer Park Boys, I watched it at least twice! I think this is the best comedy on Netflix and the best tv series i have seen for a long time. I really like this kind of humor and I don't know why nobody told me about this series before. I haven't seen any Mockumentary except TPB, so it's hard for me to tell if I like such genre.

-How about any other tv series?
I think that I have seen too many tv series and I waste a lot of time watching it but my best are: Friends, Dexter, Trailer Park Boys, Game of Thrones, Vikings, House of cards, Mr Robot and many more that I can't remember now. I think that I watched more tv series than movies in last time.

-Do you have netflix? What do you watch there?
I have Netflix since it is available in Poland. I think that I've watched most of worth watching movies and tv series there. But now I can't wait to see The Witcher premiere. I think that it is going to be killer tv series!

I have only seen some clips on youtube but my friend watches Trailer Park Boys. I would consider watching such genre in the future.
I enjoyed Fargo but I have only watched the first season so far. I want to watch Game of Thrones and right now I am watching Vikings.
Yes, I have Netflix and I have watched The Haunting of Hill House and now I am watching Vikings.
I have seen Trailer Park Boys. Actually, I watched all 12 seasons of it and enjoyed it very much. I think this tv series is hilarious in its stupidity. It is not the best show I ever watched, and I don’t always have humor to watch it but sometimes it’s great solution to stop thinking for a while and just laugh to it. Characters there are very likeable and fun to watch. I was very sorry to hear that actor that played Jim Lahey (John Dunsworth) passed away in October 2017. In general, I love to watch tv series and right now I can’t imagine my life with out watching any. I can honestly say that my very most favorite is Game of Thrones and Rick and Morty right behind. I have Netflix and I use it practically every day. It’s hard to say what I watch there because I already seen a lot of what Netflix has to offer. But lately I have seen Limitless, Titans (new show) and Sherlock.

-Have you seen Trailer Park Boys? Do you like such genre (Mockumentary)
Nah, I did not. It is probably because I do not like such mockumentary type of movies or tx series.

-How about any other tv series?
I used to watch a lot of tv series and sometimes I watch my favorites just after they are released. I rather watch the whole series at once than for instance, watching one episode per day.

-Do you have netflix? What do you watch there?
Currently I am totally out of time for any pleasures, series and movies included. When it comes to Netflix, I think there is a lot of stuff, but only few are worth my time. I feel like trying HBO GO would be a good decision when I'll get some spare time for this.
-Have you seen Trailer Park Boys? Do you like such genre (Mockumentary)
Hell yeah, I have seen Trailer Park Boys. And I find it really funny. Very "lively" characters and convenient format - 30 minuets. Very strange that so few people know about the existence of this series.
-How about any other tv series?
I am in love with sitcoms like "Friends" , "Scrubs" , "Community" and "HIMYM". Of course "Office" which is also mockumentary. Mentioned above series can cheer you up after a hard long day.
-Do you have netflix? What do you watch there?
Yes, I have Netflix account , I split it with my friends. I prefer netflix original series like "Stranger things" or "13 reasons why". Overall this platform is great.

I've never seen Trailer Park Boys even though I like mockumentary genre. First TV series in that genre that I see was The Office. This TV show is about typical office workers with awful boss who always tries make their lives worse than they already have. Great work with great Steve Carrel's performance. I used to see What We Do in the Shadows that also is mockumentary. The idea of this TV show is to imagine what would do vampires in our real regular life with job problems, unpaid bills, problem with neighbors etc. It's really funny.
I do not have Netflix yet but I subscribed to HBO GO streaming service yesterday because I want to see third season of True Detective. I have my free month now and when it finished I will subscribe to Netflix with free month too.

Week 12 (12.01-18.01.15) Are you an early bird or a night owl ?

Owls are nocturnal creatures. They’re wide awake at night and they sleep during the day. If this sounds like bliss to you, then, like about 20 percent of the population who find themselves most active at around 9 pm, you may fall into the same category as our feathered friend. Night owls often have difficulty waking up in the morning, and like to be up late at night.  Studies of animal behaviour indicate that being a night owl may actually be built into some people’s genes. This would explain why those late-to-bed, late-to-rise people find it so difficult to change their behaviour. The trouble for night owls is that they just have to be at places such as work and school far too early. This is when the alarm clock becomes the night owl’s most important survival tool. Experts say that one way for a night owl to beat their dependence on their alarm clocks is to sleep with the curtains open. The Theory is that if they do so, the morning sunlight will awaken them gently and natura...

Week 11 [03-09.06.2019] The problem with ecological cars emission in UK

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form. These can be particles of sea salt, clouds from the Sahara and artificial compounds made by people. These compounds...
