Week 10 (25.05-31.05) THE FUTURE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Androids are humanoid robots Androids are robots which imitate human looks and behavior. Speaking more precisely, they are mechanical devices automatically executing certain tasks.          Until very recently Androids remained within the domain of virtual reality such as films, television, games and books. This has changed very recently as the most advanced technology known to mankind allows us to design such complex “creatures”. Those robots, which have made it into the real, outside world, still look and act very fake, but this will change in the closest future, sooner than we expect.          This raises an important and also philosophical questions, and it seems we should work out how those should be answered, even before we are going to think about releasing such robots and make them part of our everyday life. I would like to ask some of them to start the discussion.          Technically speaking about th

Week 10 (25.05-31.05) COACHELLA

Coachella is the city that is situated in Riverside County in California. It is located 130 miles (210 km) east of Los Angeles. There is a subtropical climate so people can always feel summer there . It is heaven on earth for me because I love the summer climate: the sun, tropical flowers, warm nights. <http://www.gannett-cdn.com/-mm-/3e7982d328e2f6fa9f37185edca3b4c9e4f37115/c=0-7-435-587&r=383&c=0-0-380-510/local/-/media/2015/04/14/WCNC/WCNC/635646270847449515-469673698-594-screen.jpg> Since 1999 there has been i s organized Coachella Valley Music Festival and Arts Festival The festival takes place annu ally and was founded by Paul Tollett. Week 10 (25.05-31.05) HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

Healthy lifestyle is very popular nowadays. Celebrities, actors, singers etc. show their fans how they get fit and healthy. People want to look like their idols so they are trying to lose weight and eat ing only bio food. The media promotes the cult of a beautiful body t: muscular  men and slim women. Really important for our good physical condition is workout but the most important is diet. a lot of people think that healthy and fit food means expensive food. They say "I can't eat healthy, it's too expensive". You can but you should have a plan and be creative.  Of course unhealthy food is more accessible and often cheaper than better for our health alternatives. We can choose  cheaper food that causes dangerous and really expensive medical problems or spend money on f something more expensive but good for our mood and of course health. We tend to choose food by looking at a price or calories  but we should pay more attention to nutritional values. People alway

Week 10 (25.05-31.05) Little Wars

A few weeks ago there was an article about board games on this blog. This week I would like to tell you about one specific genre of board games - wargames and especially about one of them called Little Wars . Wargames Probably you’ve heard about those geeky people who gather in dark cellars or attics, put armies of tiny metal or plastic soldiers (each and everyone must be carefully hand painted before!) to the table and try to kill their opponents’ armies of those tiny figurines. Sounds creepy but probably you have such gamers among your friends as this is a very popular hobby. Unfortunately also a very expensive and time consuming (assembly of models and especially painting them) one. One thing is sure. Wargames are not for everyone. Most of them have complicated rules and because they are strategy games rules are just a beginning. To show superiority above your opponents you have to not only master the rules but also learn to think like a military officer. Shoot to kill, accept

Week 10 (25.05-31.05) Movie Pre-Production

Movie production is an iterative process. It starts with just a simple idea but its goal is astonishing product loved by millions. This process rarely takes months, more often these are years and in some cases even decades. It consists of three main steps (or milestones if you prefer): Pre-production - a process of developing a story and it’s background from an idea. Production - the time when actors and actresses perform in front of cameras. Post-production - the moment when everything is mixed, retouched and very often recreated from scratch in a digital form. In this article I will try to give you a primer on the pre-production phase which is very often called the most important part of movie production process. Many movies were never produced because during this phase it turned out that they are really bad. Even more movies that should never have been produced slipped through it wasting millions of investor’s dollars. It is composed of three main sub-phases:

Week 10 (25.05-31.05) Freeride

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cr7_4LrF8As In the search for adrenaline, for road where no one has skied before, people always dare to explore and discover new, uncharted and dangerous ski routes. Freeride was born in France in Val d’Isère and Switzerland in Gstaad in 1959. Initially they approached the uphill with ski equipment. Climbing all the way on foot. http://powder.pl/sites/default/files/artykuly/1969.jpg But in the 60s an idea to use a helicopter to go the top mountain (Heliskiing) was born. Unfortunately this method is still quite expensive. Firstly, helicopters were used only for filming, then it turned out to be a very convenient and enjoyable way to climb the mountain. http://powder.pl/sites/default/files/artykuly/Group%20Skiing%20with%20Helicopter,%20Brad%20White.jpg In 1975 another method, catskiing, emerged. People stared to use specially adopted groomers instead of helicopters. Snowcats are cheaper and easier to use. After a few years, both in France and

Week 10 (25.05-31.05) Fantasy convent

http://i.nocimg.pl/d6/514/172-konwent-mangi-i-fantastyki-baltikon.jpg Recently   it has become one of the major trends in pop culture . A convent is a place where you can meet to play computer games.   Play   different characters , LARP, talk with writers and take autograph from them . You can wear strange clothes. And of course, meet people from different parts of the world. It is always a few days with a lot of   events and lectures. This is the place where you can learn about the premieres of books and games. Many artists like to show their work during   such events - this is a form of promotion for them. Also you can find there many shows of artistic groups. Every visitor has a different target.   And everyone can find something interesting for them. This is a perfect place for collectors, gamers and others interested in the field of fantasy. Usually a convent’s program is very diverse to get to many visitors. By the way, you can the
