Week 10 [08.01.2018-14.01.2018] Does a woman drive a car safely?

It has always been heard that women aren’t good drivers. Is it true ? I browse the articles and after drawing conclusions, generally there are much fewer car accidents than in previous years. This is very good information without looking at who drives the car. At the beginning I would like to say that men in the car are very fast, their decision is quick and more decesive. When a woman wants to make a decision to overtake an another car it takes much longer. The woman drives much more carefully. I found the most up-to-date article that summed up the year 2016 in terms of sex that caused the accident. Men responsible for 73% of accident   and women more less   27%. It should be taken into account that men are more frequent visitors of the roads and more seniors with a driving license aren’t able to drive a car safely, because the sight is getting worse and the reflex is much worse than in the young.                 All statistics indicate that a woman is a good driver, not always the

Week 10 [08.01.2018-14.01.2018] Board games not necessarily for children

Most people, hearing the slogan "board games" probably have an image of children playing in them and having fun. On the shelves in the stores you can find a lot of different, colorful boxes with attractive content. Games not only provide children with entertainment and fill their free time, but also have an educational character. We can not complain about the shortage of various offers from producers. In almost every store, even grocery store, we can find even a small box of puzzles. On the internet, there are lots of different links with redirection to online stores, where a wide assortment awaits us as well. But ... games are not only for children. Once, chess, checkers and card games dominated among adults. But who said that adults are not also interested in logic, strategic or entertainment games that will ensure laughter at a group meeting? Observing the environment, we can remark some changes. Only a few years ago, young people or adults reached for games

Week 10 [08.01-14.01.2018] The dark side of robotics

The automation, robotics and A.I. are the hot topics and the buzz words over the last few years. Technology in those fields is advancing like never and this brings us closer to transforming our lives into a living paradise. Thanks to much advanced technology we could live to see a world from a sci-fi movie with a strong society living in harmony using the knowledge to do good. Or a dystopian one … Most brightest minds of our time like Elon Musk and Stephen Hawking are warning us about killer robots. What is a killer robot? An autonomous weapon which can target and engage without human intervention. Let ’ s take a peek: Have you heard about the warning and protests to ban autonomous “ kill functions ” in robotics and advanced A.I.? What is your opinion on swapping human soldiers with killer robots? As a programmer with a very fine paying job, would you write a software for a killer robot or rather resign from the job?

Technology developed incredibly fast for the last 20 years. Today we are surrounded by smartphones, robots and other inventions. It includes genetically modified animals, steerable rats, creating brains artificially. When technology meets living organisms, there appears ethical questions. Should we modify these animals just for fun? What about the influence of genetically modified food on our organisms? Questions:     1. Do you think that modified animals, like fluorescent cats, fish should be forbidden?     2. What is your opinion about mixing breeds? Should we interfere in nature?     3. Should we use animals to carry out experiments such as third hand of monkey or steer rat’s brain? Where is the limit of use of animals?
