Week 6 [20-26.04.2020] Brick remedy for boredom

source: https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lego
With ongoing restrictions, people are getting more and more tired of staying at home. It's quite natural as staying 'closed' for a long time will bore probably everyone. In pursuit of new entertainment we can encounter new interesting things. But what we can also do is reaching out for inspirations to our childhood. One of things I used to enjoy a lot was Lego. I think I don't have to introduce it to anyone as it may be called the most famous toy ever made but just in case for those that never heard of it - in short it's a company making toy bricks which you can assemble into anything you wish, and a name of said bricks.

source: https://www.lego.com/pl-pl/product/tree-house-21318
There are probably plenty of other toys, that we could take up from dusty attic or basement, but I doubt any of them have survived trial of time as good as Lego. The best proof of it is quite simple. Lego is still produced and sold. After so many years it didn't change at all and despite that, it will still find customers. While other toys might seem old and dull for us nowadays, and showing them to young children would most likely lead to them laughing, Lego is in some way exception. It's not like brick can look different than it did in the past. And it's quality was already top-notch. Only thing they have to do is create new theme and a new generation Lego fans can start growing. Moreover for those more creative, there's always classic, themeless Lego with which you can make anything you come up with in your mind.

source: https://www.lego.com/pl-pl/product/taj-mahal-10256
Let's focus on themes for a bit though. Recently my view of them changed quite a bit. As a child, I didn't like them too much. They often consisted of bricks that will fit this and only this one creation and even after getting few of them we'd still be limited with what we can do. Moreover if I recall correctly, they were quite expensive and small despite its price. So for a young brain, classic bricks were way to go. After looking at their offer now, it's a bit different though. Some of sets are looking astonishing and after building them it can stay on shelf as decoration. Especially things from 'Ideas' theme like Treehouse or 'Creator Expert' which is clearly meant for a bit older audience with such creations as Taj Mahal or Old Trafford (a football stadium).

Maybe it won't take a lot of our time, but it's something many of us enjoyed in the past. So I think it's not that bad idea to find our old bricks or order one of those new and fancy sets to make staying at home a bit more enjoyable.

1. Did you play with Lego as a child? Do you still own any nice sets or did you prefer classic bricks?

2. If you could make anything you wish into Lego set you can take and assemble, what would the motive be?

3. Did you ever step on Lego brick? Do you think pain associated with it is exaggeration?

1. Did you play with Lego as a child? Do you still own any nice sets or did you prefer classic bricks?
Yes, I especially liked Lego or Bandai toys when I was a kid. I still remember that I always tried to get good marks on exams and let my parents reward me lego in primary school. I think I lost most of my Lego sets after growing up, I guess only some incomplete sets remain, and I do not like classic bricks that much.

2. If you could make anything you wish into Lego set you can take and assemble, what would the motive be?
To be honest, I don't know, maybe I will build a real house, because I had ever watched a
TV show that someone really used Lego to make a 1: 1 ratio house, where the water, electricity, fire and equipment were fully equipped, even the locks and keys were made of Lego, but he couldn’t stand it after a few days of living because of his foot pain haha.

3. Did you ever step on Lego brick? Do you think pain associated with it is exaggeration?
Yes, sometimes I stepped on it by accident, it was really a bit painful, but not that much. Also as I mentioned in last question, the reason that guy couldn't stand it was a foot pain, I can imagine his pain.

1. As a child, I loved lego, I could build all day long until I ran out of blocks. I liked classic lego the most, because they gave unlimited fun. I had little themed lego, probably two Harry Potter sets. Of course, I still have the blocks, I could not part with them.

2. I never thought about it, but my dream when I was a child was to build a tower of my height that would not fall. I wish I could build a lego city with several different skyscrapers.

3. Yes, I did. Hmm, in my opinion, this pain is so weak that you can consider walking on the blocks as a kind of foot massage.
As a child I played Lego a lot. At the beginning I arranged according to the booklet included in the package, and when I had many different lego and cobi blocks, I would put together my own buildings and mechanisms. In my opinion, the instructions spoil the idea of the blocks a bit, although nobody defends using the lego blocks for other purposes. Many times as a child I put together something very interesting and I wanted lego to introduce such a set. I'd love to make a flying drone using lego technics. I happened to be lego a few times and this pain is very unpleasant. I have cut my leg skin through pads many times. However, it is only the children and parents' fault that the blocks are falling on the floor.

1. Of course I did, a lot! I spent a great part of my childhood playing with Lego both alone and with my best friend. I still own every piece of Lego I was ever given. I've always definitely preferred sets than classic unthemed parts. But then when I had enough blocks from different sets I was able to make a lot of self-invented creations.

2. Hmm, interesting question. I've never thought about this but I probably would like to build some humanoidal robot or an electric engine.

3. I did and it was indeed quite painful but not that lethal that it's said. Of course it depends on the brick itself, its shape, size and how you step on it.

1. I was playing with legos a lot when I was a child. I had a lot of sets and the nicest was the dark castle one with some figure similar to villan from witcher. I don't have any sets right now unfortunately.

2. Witcher, definitely Witcher. Lego set based on Andrzej Sapkowski's book series.

3. Oh yes I did many times... It is really painfull especially when you run somewhere. I know some things that are more painfull than that. It is like 3/10 pain but it's really annoying and you don't expect that at all.
Answering your questions:

1. Yes, I played Lego as a child. I loved Lego bricks very much. Unfortunately, I didn't have sets because I didn't have a place to keep them. I had classic blocks, i.e. models of e.g. vehicles.

2. I'd choose the Assassin Creed figure taken from the Ubisoft game.

3. When I was a child, especially while running, it was very painful when I stepped on a Lego brick. I think that this reaction is correct and there is no exaggeration at all.
1. Did you play with Lego as a child? Do you still own any nice sets or did you prefer classic bricks?
Yes, I played with Lego a lot when I was a child. We had few boxes with mixed Legos and I could build everything from it. To be honest I don't know when they are now... But 2 days ago I was looking on the internet for some Legos, so the topic you chose might not be an accident ;)

2. If you could make anything you wish into Lego set you can take and assemble, what would the motive be?
It would be a car that could drive on the roads. I am completely serious.

3. Did you ever step on Lego brick? Do you think pain associated with it is exaggeration?
Of course I did. There are more terrible feelings, but Lego bricks in my feet are not the opposite. That could really hurt, especially when I was a child.

1. Did you play with Lego as a child? Do you still own any nice sets or did you prefer classic bricks?
Of course, I liked to play with Lego as a child. I had one set with a farm and one set with a restaurant. But I still enjoy assemble Lego and I am lucky to have a little sister and a cousin, so I have always helped them in doing this :)
And I want to mention that there are Lego sets not just for children, for example, Lego Architecture or Lego Creator. I already have a built model of the Great Wall of China.

2. If you could make anything you wish into Lego set you can take and assemble, what would the motive be?
Interesting question. Maybe it would be real size furniture. It would be interesting to have a Lego-style house.

3. Did you ever step on Lego brick? Do you think pain associated with it is an exaggeration?
Oh, yes, I had such experience, it was very painful. But Lego is a very customer-friendly company. It makes ANTI-Lego slippers to protect your feet.
Adam Tokarczyk said…
I wish I was gifted Lego same way you were. In my case it was more random I think. I had it a bit easier in other way though. Aside from me there was also my brother which also likes Lego a lot, so we had two people to collect staff :D. He even bought a set recently. Losing Lego is a huge pain :/. When I was looking for mine, I think I found less than quarter of what I had. Mostly random bricks. When it comes to Bandai, I can't say much about it. Even don't know which toys were their. I know there was Tamagochi (well in my case tons of Russian counterfeits from Computer Street Market and 10th-Anniversary Stadium), and some action figures I think? Like Gundam (which I loved), Dragon Ball (but I think it wasn't their back them?), Power Rangers, or TMNT? I think there weren't too many toys from them in Poland back then, but I might be wrong.

House built with Lego sounds nice. If I recall correctly, I think James May from Top Gear did such thing. But I don't know what happened to house afterwards. Living in such house could be hard though, don't you think? Even if we could make it fully functioning, let's say heavy winter is coming. I don't doubt that Lego quality would withstand even the heaviest snow on the roof, but warming such house would be heavy task.

I agree it wasn't that painful at all. I think the worst thing about stepping on Lego, was the fact, that we never expected it. It was similar to how slashers works. They use scare-jumps to make their horror affect you, but it won't leave any significant marks afterwards. You'll just move on and forget about it. So living in such house wouldn't be too painful I think. But there are a lot of factors to take into, aside from personal pain tolerance, we'd have to take into account individual person, a brick and situation in which we step on it. If we look back in time then losing Lego sets is probably way more painful than stepping on bricks :D
Adam Tokarczyk said…
Oh... running out of blocks was probably more painful than stepping on a brick! And it always happened way too often if we went for classic bricks :D. Especially if we built something with others and people reached for same bricks. Also I don't know if those HP sets were same as those available today, but overall they seem like the best franchise they have in sale right now. I'd consider getting something from them even though I don't like Harry Potter at all. Especially this big Hogwarts set. But well... most of those big sets look astonishing. And I envy you for not losing your blocks. I wish I took more attention about them :(. This dream of yours is probably a bit harder to realise now than it was due to growth :). City full of skyscrapers sounds very alluring. I'm not sure how exactly it looks like, but when I was writing this post I encountered something called 'Lego Masters'. Didn't have time to check it yet (I'll do so for sure :D). So far I took a small glimpse of it and it's a competition where people build big creations with classic bricks, and from a few photos I've seen there were some cities built. On a side note, this show is probably great material for a separate post, but I didn't want to do so without watching any season beforehand. Also, you'd probably enjoy living in a house mentioned by Yubin above. A permanent foot massage. I only wonder how guests would react to this.
Adam Tokarczyk said…
I see another person to envy :D. Damn, keeping every single Lego piece you had. It sounds impossible for someone like me. There's one clear advantage I could see in themed parts. If we had lots of parts we could go 'classic' with them. Other way around? It wouldn't work. But then you need a lot of sets (or some bigger ones). Self-invented creations are the best though! And if this humanoid robot of yours would work like true robot then make two of those, because I'd like one too :D. Maybe with army of such robots we could hire them to clean dust from solar panels and reconsider this option for source of energy of lava moat ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). And stepping on those bricks is more like a meme I think. You're right that there are a lot of factors to take into consideration, but finally it's rather not a big pain.
Adam Tokarczyk said…
If I recall correctly, then my best friend from childhood had probably same set as your favorite one. Well... he had tons of castles and castle related sets so I'm quite sure it had to be among them. If it's the one I'm thinking about it was really nice indeed. One of better sets ever made. Witcher could be a nice collaboration with Lego. Of course I hope we're talking about 1:1 ratio here, so we can go sightseeing. In my case though I'd wish it was based on Reds creation more than Sapkowski's books though. In my opinion they took what was the best in them and made it even better.
Adam Tokarczyk said…
You could always assemble and disassemble them to have more space :D. I think I had only one Star Wars set assembled for good. It was some spaceship. Rest was usually disassembled shortly afterwards. I have no idea why I didn't do so with that one. But I put it kind of high, so probably was just too lazy to take it down. Back to other answers, running into Lego was the worst. Especially if it was dark. And you held something. I think it's the worst situation I can imagine.
Adam Tokarczyk said…
It's a sign! There are no accidents, so believe in butterfly effect and go back to looking for Lego. I'm telling you :D. What more reason you need to convince yourself that you need a new set. It would work for me. I just have a problem what to chose. And well... they're a bit too expensive to order everything I like. And I'd run out of space for them then. Would have to stack one set on another until they collapse. I wouldn't have such problem if there was a working car set of yours. It's only set I'd ever need. And maybe some body kits to change its appearance whenever I feel like it. I just hope it wouldn't run on Lego, because petrol nowadays is cheaper option :D

Well, I think that joke about making a child to have excuse to play Lego again isn't overstatement, so kudos to you with little sister and cousin :D. In my case most of my relatives are older than me, at least those that live nearby, so there's no one to help :<. It's a good thing that there are lots of people from our generation that love Lego, so at least there's always option to help some friends or invite them over to join you, or go on a solo adventure. I found assembling Lego with someone more enjoyable though, so that last option is necessity. By the way aside from Architecture and Creator some of Lego Ideas are also meant for older audience e.g. Treehouse which is definitely on my 'to assemble' list. Moreover I think Creator Expert is fully 16+. Lego furniture seems like nice finishing touch to design your house. While living in a house fully made of Lego, might be inconvenient, limiting yourself to selected furniture won't have its drawbacks. When I think about it now, it would be perfect for a child room. Of course we'd first assemble everything ourselves :D. And change appearance once in a while. And make it into playroom for ourselves... maybe add some TV, consoles, and I think I might need such room for myself :o. Those slippers are also interesting. Even if we don't have Lego to step on anymore. I think I know what would be waiting on entrance to my new playroom.
1. Yes, of course, when I was a lot I built with LEGO. I didn't even need to have instructions to build any kits. All I had to do was look at a picture. I have several sets left, most of them modernized by my brother. I only got the X-wing from the Star Wars.

2. I have always been fascinated by vehicles and machines - excavators, cranes, bulldozers. If I had blocks - probably Lego Technics - I'd like to assemble one of these vehicles. It looks good on the desk. Of course, this would not be on a 1: 1 scale, but reduced accordingly.

3. Haha, of course I happened to stand a brick more than once. Over time, I got used to this pain - I had a distinctive style of walking - on tiptoes. However, I know the pain is unpleasant - my parents often used Lego bricks - they were not very happy.

Yes, I did own a lego set, the classic bricks. I don't know where it's right now. Also I cannot remember what exactly did I built with them. Probably some kind of pyramid which is easy to construct.

2.
I would probably do some spaceship from Battlestar Galactica or Stargate

3. Did you ever step on Lego brick? Do you think pain associated with it is exaggeration?
Most likely I did, I don't recall however the pain to be that huge, maybe if it hypothetically would happen today I would change my view.

1. Did you play with Lego as a child? Do you still own any nice sets or did you prefer classic bricks?

Of course I had lego bricks. It was my favorite pastime and I spent a lot of time with it. I used standard bricks. I also had a few sets but I preferred to build my own constructions and mechanisms. My father infected me with love for lego bricks. He was an engineer constructor himself and I am also an engineer. lego bricks are a part of almost every childhood and especially mine.

2. If you could make anything you wish into Lego set you can take and assemble, what would the motive be?
When I was a kid, I loved building cable cars and transporting goods. I never liked assembling finished structures according to the scheme. Besides being expensive, it was just a reproduction job.

3. Did you ever step on Lego brick? Do you think pain associated with it is exaggeration?
It often happened to me because I didn't want to clean them after the playtime. When I was little, I was light and didn't feel much pain. But my parents complained more about it.

1. I used to have the biggest Lego set collection out of all my friends. As I grew up, my collection was donated to friends and family. I was always better at following instructions than getting creative, so I preferred building specific Lego sets.

2. I wonder if it is possible to build an oxygen ventilator out of Lego bricks. They are in high demand now. Lego builders assemble!

3. The pain is real! I think that centuries of wearing shoes has made people’s feet too sensitive to handle stepping on a Lego brick.

1. Did you play with Lego as a child? Do you still own any nice sets or did you prefer classic bricks?

In my childhood, Lego was a scarce item. I got the first set of lego blocks bought with foreign currency at Pewex when I was about 11 years old. As I remember today, a house with a car. I don't have these blocks anymore. Then the space station.

2. If you could make anything you wish into Lego set you can take and assemble, what would the motive be?

However, I have a strict mind. Technics are my favorite Lego sets. I miss puzzles, e.g. a combination lock. To be folded, see how it works. It would be fascinating especially for children.

3. Did you ever step on Lego brick? Do you think pain associated with it is exaggeration?

Not once and not twice. It hurts. However, the blocks have sharp edges. They can stick quite strongly into the leg and even cut the skin. They can also get lost and then they are gone.

1. Of course, I did! I was the luckiest child, because I was the youngest kid in my family, and all the LEGO’s inherited from my brother and my cousins were mine. I especially remember that we had firefighters set with red and transparent panels to build gates (which were weirdly fascinating for me) and yellow excavator with movable “arm”.

Nowadays, I don’t play with LEGO anymore, but my brother, who is 31 has like a hundred sets of them, all of which he got for his last year birthday or bought for half a price from a friend that works at LEGO. They are mostly machines and vehicles, but he also got the same firefighters set that we got from our parents back when we were little :D

2. I have no idea, as I don’t play with LEGO’s anymore, but for 9-year-old Olga a huge jungle set with variety of animals such as monkeys or panthers or something connected with countryside would probably be a dream come true. And I do like the tree house from your presentation, that would be cool to play with too.

3. Yes, I did, plenty of times. As I was quite small in the times of my fascination with LEGO, I remember it quite vaguely, but I think it was a bit painful for my little feet. Nevertheless, I don’t think it would be as uncomfortable now, when I am older, especially considering the fact that I am able to handle standing on the mat with plastic spikes (to help me with blood circulation)
1. Yes, sure. As a child I was a huge fan of Lego Bionicles. On every occasion like birthday, or Christmas, I always wanted to get another Bionicle. I still have a couple of them standing in the cabinet. I don’t remember any classic bricks sets in my possession. I definitely had some, but I must have not paid too much attention to it.

2. I don’t know, I am not a very creative person and moreover, right now I try to limit the number of things around me to the minimum. Unnecessary items make everything more difficult – cleaning, moving to another house and so on.

3. Yes, a couple of times. It is painful, but yes – those memes are exaggerating that sensation :)
1. Of Course i did, I loved them and I think that they were the best toys I had. I still own them but they are hidden somewhere in the attic.
2. My imagination is not focused on legos right now but i have seen falcon millenium set and i would love to build it but it cots about 3k PLN
3. Yes I have and I don't understand all the memes right now about it or maybe I have forgotten the pain and expelled it from my memory.
Pawel Bluszcz said…
1. Of course I was playing Lego when I was younger and to be honest it was probably the best toy I had. I could create what I wanted and only my imagination was limited. Unfortunately, I no longer have my blocks because I gave them to my cousin.

2. If I had an infinite number of blocks I would build a WRC car.

3. Yes, I have stood up many times on Lego and I do not remember that it caused me such pain that is often depicted in the videos on youtube and so on.
1. I had some legos when I was a kid, but they didn't survive until this day. But recently I got some legos for a birthday, it was an architecture set of german most famous sights. That inspired me and a year ago I bought my father a lego set of an excavator with an engine and controls. He had lots of fun.

2. My dream lego set is obviously the Falcon, however, I have never thought about a set of my own idea. It would be really cool to make something that is also usable and in 1:1 scale, like some household equipment. Imagine having a chair made from legos, or a door perhaps. This could go well with a lego shed in the garden next to a lego lamp! I'd go for it.

3. Unfortunately, I still remember it. The pain. Uhh. The bricks liked to hide in the city patterns of the most popular kids carpet, which made them especially stealthy enemies.
1. Did you play with Lego as a child? Do you still own any nice sets or did you prefer classic bricks?
Of course i did! I love lego. I have always wanted to build as big pyramid as i could. Unfortunatelly ive lost all of my lego collections during removal :( I dont have any lego set now but maybe this article will motivate me to buy some :)

2. If you could make anything you wish into Lego set you can take and assemble, what would the motive be?
Probably the egiptian motive. Ive always loved to build pyramids. Maybe i would like to build a Sfinks monument?

3. Did you ever step on Lego brick? Do you think pain associated with it is exaggeration?
A little bit. I dont remember it beeing such as painful as people describe it. As a little kid i even remember walking throught scattered lego bricks on the floor and doesnt bother at all.
1. Did you play with Lego as a child? Do you still own any nice sets or did you prefer classic bricks?

I used to play with lego bricks a lot when I was a child. The thing that I enjoyed the most about them was that I was able to build other toys with them. Very often I used my lego to build swords or other weapons, as boys do. All of my bricks went to my cousins but I am hope that they are not going to waist. The biggest advantage of those bricks is the fact that they are timeless.

2. If you could make anything you wish into Lego set you can take and assemble, what would the motive be?

Well, I haven't thought about it for years but I guess that somekind of a huge palace or maybe a car would be great. Maybe something like a futuristic headquarters.

3. Did you ever step on Lego brick? Do you think pain associated with it is exaggeration?

Many, many times. I know that the way people describe that pain is a little bit over the top but it is not that inaccurate when you think about it. There is always some kind of dramatization when you want to describe a strong feeling and there is no doubt that stepping on a lego brick gives you a VERY strong feeling.
1. Did you play with Lego as a child? Do you still own any nice sets or did you prefer classic bricks?
As a child I played a lot with Lego. I remember that I received my first Lego for Christmas. That was a classic set of bricks. Today I don’t have any Lego sets. My cousin have some sets and I help him with building. I prefer Lego Technic.

2. If you could make anything you wish into Lego set you can take and assemble, what would the motive be?
It’s a very interesting question. I think I would choose universe. I love Star Trek films. I would build spaceship with scale 1:1. I think I would have much fun.

3. Did you ever step on Lego brick? Do you think pain associated with it is exaggeration?
Yes, I did. I think it depends on kind of Lego brick. The pain associated on stepping on Lego brick is huge. I don't wish anyone to experience this feeling.
1. Did you play with Lego as a child? Do you still own any nice sets or did you prefer classic bricks?
Of course, yes. Laying lego blocks was my favorite fun, I always built castles or vehicles.
Even now, when I'm older, I want to buy a big lego set and start to arrange it. :)

2. If you could make anything you wish into Lego set you can take and assemble, what would the motive be?
Ooo Yes, I would create my city from lego and build a huge lego queue

3. Did you ever step on Lego brick? Do you think pain associated with it is exaggeration?
Unfortunately, I don't think I have to describe the pain

Unfortunately, Lego was too expensive when I was a kid. Though I owned a couple of small sets, and I enjoyed them quite a lot. Perhaps it is a good idea to try them out now.
2. If you could make anything you wish into Lego set you can take and assemble, what would the motive be?
I dunno, some sports car probably. Or musical instrument.
3. Did you ever step on Lego brick? Do you think pain associated with it is exaggeration?
No, I have never stepped on it. I once stepped on a nail though, it was painful.
1. Did you play with Lego as a child? Do you still own any nice sets or did you prefer classic bricks?

Yes! I also had a lot of Bionicles, which were my favorites. My parents gave all of my toys to my cousin, so I don't possess any now.

2. If you could make anything you wish into Lego set you can take and assemble, what would the motive be?

I would love to have some Lego set with The Witcher world. Or maybe there is one already.

3. Did you ever step on Lego brick? Do you think pain associated with it is exaggeration?

Well, It hurts a lot, so I don't know if it's an exaggeration. I think that the reason that it was made a meme is that it's a really common experience.
1. Of course I played with Lego as a child. Unfortunately, at that time there was no such choice and such models as they are now, but they were equally cool. From what I remember I liked all types of blocks, the usual, wooden and Lego ones.
2. Now when I look at all these Lego models as an adult man, I want to buy and assemble a racer or robot model from Lego Technic. I like to sit with my nephew and put together different models of fire trucks or police cars and even entire police stations. I am always impressed by the precision of the workmanship and the final effect of assembling such a model.
3. More than once I stood on Lego blocks with a bare foot. The pain is actually quite big.
1 / As a child, I did not have the opportunity to play Lego, but with age, when I grew up a bit and already began to receive pocket expenses, I confess I sometimes bought these colorful sets for myself and still love and love to collect Lego.

2 / Now he feels all the possible sets that you can imagine But if I wanted to ask something of my own and I think that they would be sets on the theme of the modern interior and interior options of all kinds of styles from classical to modern.

3 / Oh yes, unfortunately I’m very embarrassed and often stepping on or tripping over him something and moreover it was connected with small things with toys including lego.

I loved LEGO when I was little, it was my only toy, I built palaces for princesses. For a change, I hated dolls, a terribly stupid toy. Unfortunately I give away my blocks to younger children, but my brother has so far a lot of collections of LEGOs.

It seems to me that all the biggest and most beautiful buildings in the world are already in LEGO form.

I've stood on a brick many times and it's a terrible pain...

1. Did you play with Lego as a child? Do you still own any nice sets or did you prefer classic bricks?

Of course, I think Lego was my favorite time of spending time as a child. I really enjoyed making up my own projects and building them with pieces I had. I don’t have them anymore as I gave everything to my nephew and niece when they were younger.

2. If you could make anything you wish into Lego set you can take and assemble, what would the motive be?

I think some kind of building (as an adult I really like looking at the Architecture collection in stores) or a very detailed model of a sports-car. Or a ballot box and send it to Nowogrodzka 84/86 street.

3. Did you ever step on Lego brick? Do you think pain associated with it is exaggeration?

Yes I did, many times, and I think that it can be very painful, if you step on it “properly” 😊.
1. Yes I loved lego and I still have 3 of my Ferrari cars models (2 technic and 1 basic Lego) standing on my shelf. I think that was probably the most creative thing that I used to do as a child. Thinking what to build, finding ways to connect things, making projects of castles and afterwards having fun with figures was great way to spend time.

2. It would probably be some mesmerising building like Haga Sofia or something like that. I love architecture and I know there is Lego Architecture series. My sister has Eifle Tower and it looks beautiful.

3. It is one of the worst pains that happened to me :D

1. Did you play with Lego as a child? Do you still own any nice sets or did you prefer classic bricks?
There are couple of things that define my childhood and one of it is Lego. That was a gift-to-go on any occassion for family members or friends and I didn't complain. I think I've got almost all of the arctic lego set. I think somewhere around my age 15 we've donated all my legos to child care home. It was already few years after I completely replaced Lego with computer, it terms of how I've spent free time.
2. If you could make anything you wish into Lego set you can take and assemble, what would the motive be?
It might be something space-related, but please make it no star-wars related. Probably something about futuristic architecture, maybe a city :)
3. Did you ever step on Lego brick? Do you think pain associated with it is exaggeration?
I think I did it so many times and stopped bothering me. You got used to it and build some mental and physical resistance to it. I think people tend to exaggerate how painful it is.
1. Did you play with Lego as a child? Do you still own any nice sets or did you prefer classic bricks?

Yes, of course, probably each and every of us has done it. In my parents house I have plenty of sets, sometimes I really like to go back then and feel like child one more time.

2. If you could make anything you wish into Lego set you can take and assemble, what would the motive be?

Probably aviation - Since I was toddler I was into aviation. I've liked planes.

3. Did you ever step on Lego brick? Do you think pain associated with it is exaggeration?

It's probably the most painful pain I have ever experienced.

I played a lot with lego when I was a child, however now all my bricks were passed down to my younger siblings. I had a lot of mixed sets and bootlegged bricks.
2. If you could make anything you wish into Lego set you can take and assemble, what would the motive be?
I would like to have some Warhammer 40k lego sets. Just to assemble and put on display.
3. Did you ever step on Lego brick? Do you think pain associated with it is exaggeration?
Geez.. I stepped on a Lego brick thousands of times. It hurts everytime the same way. It's comparable to stubbing your little toe against a wall.
1. Did you play with Lego as a child? Do you still own any nice sets or did you prefer classic bricks?
Yes I played with Lego as a child with my friend at his home but I never had my own Lego so I don’t have any bricks or sets.
2. If you could make anything you wish into Lego set you can take and assemble, what would the motive be?
Well if I could make anything I wish into Lego set then maybe I would try to assemble a real life car with working electric engine it would probably take few years to assemble but I’m not in a hurry.
3. Did you ever step on Lego brick? Do you think pain associated with it is exaggeration?
Yes, I stepped on Lego brick before and it’s all depended how you step on them and how hard so sometimes is exaggerated.
1. Did you play with Lego as a child? Do you still own any nice sets or did you prefer classic bricks?
As a child, I loved stacking lego, it gave me a lot of fun. All my bricks are packed in a box that is in the garage. I liked the airport set the most.

2. If you could make anything you wish into Lego set you can take and assemble, what would the motive be?
My biggest dream was to build a military base from lego, with a lot of planes and cars. I think that is what I would like to stack.

3. Did you ever step on Lego brick? Do you think pain associated with it is exaggeration?
I happened to stand on a Lego brick many times and no, this is not an exaggeration, it is a pain that I remember to this day.

1. Through my childhood I continuously having fun playing Lego. I had many different sets from Star Wars and many other universes. I also had classic ones, but i rather occasionally used them to build a castle.

2. Millennium Falcon for sure. I always wanted it. But it is really expensive thing and also it would take a while to piece together all parts. But in Lego there it is where fun begines. Long hourses looking for the part.

3. Many times. As child I always spilled lego bricks on blanket to easier way og gathering them after fun. There was always that one brick which was next to blanket.

1. Lego was a big part of my childhood. I remember being very impressed by things my older cousin could build from Lego bricks, as all I could make were some ugly houses. Sadly, I don't own any of them anymore as I gave it away to younger kids in my family.

2. I would make a figure of my girlfriend into Lego set, so I can look at her when she's not around and I'm lonely.

3. Yes, I did step on them many times in my childhood. People exaggerate the pain for sure, but It's still quite painful.
1. Did you play with Lego as a child? Do you still own any nice sets or did you prefer classic bricks?
Yes, I did. I don't own any set now and even as a child I used to use my cousin's bricks to make animals and houses for them.

2. If you could make anything you wish into Lego set you can take and assemble, what would the motive be?
I think that japanese Edo architecture's type would be a great idea as a motive for Lego set but it could be even more interesting if we would add Godzilla.

3. Did you ever step on Lego brick? Do you think pain associated with it is exaggeration?
Unfortunately yes, I did. I think that pain is a little bit exaggerated, because stepping on isn't always so painful.

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form.
