With ongoing restrictions, people are getting more and more tired of staying at home. It's quite natural as staying 'closed' for a long time will bore probably everyone. In pursuit of new entertainment we can encounter new interesting things. But what we can also do is reaching out for inspirations to our childhood. One of things I used to enjoy a lot was Lego. I think I don't have to introduce it to anyone as it may be called the most famous toy ever made but just in case for those that never heard of it - in short it's a company making toy bricks which you can assemble into anything you wish, and a name of said bricks.
There are probably plenty of other toys, that we could take up from dusty attic or basement, but I doubt any of them have survived trial of time as good as Lego. The best proof of it is quite simple. Lego is still produced and sold. After so many years it didn't change at all and despite that, it will still find customers. While other toys might seem old and dull for us nowadays, and showing them to young children would most likely lead to them laughing, Lego is in some way exception. It's not like brick can look different than it did in the past. And it's quality was already top-notch. Only thing they have to do is create new theme and a new generation Lego fans can start growing. Moreover for those more creative, there's always classic, themeless Lego with which you can make anything you come up with in your mind.
Let's focus on themes for a bit though. Recently my view of them changed quite a bit. As a child, I didn't like them too much. They often consisted of bricks that will fit this and only this one creation and even after getting few of them we'd still be limited with what we can do. Moreover if I recall correctly, they were quite expensive and small despite its price. So for a young brain, classic bricks were way to go. After looking at their offer now, it's a bit different though. Some of sets are looking astonishing and after building them it can stay on shelf as decoration. Especially things from 'Ideas' theme like Treehouse or 'Creator Expert' which is clearly meant for a bit older audience with such creations as Taj Mahal or Old Trafford (a football stadium).
Maybe it won't take a lot of our time, but it's something many of us enjoyed in the past. So I think it's not that bad idea to find our old bricks or order one of those new and fancy sets to make staying at home a bit more enjoyable.

Yes, I especially liked Lego or Bandai toys when I was a kid. I still remember that I always tried to get good marks on exams and let my parents reward me lego in primary school. I think I lost most of my Lego sets after growing up, I guess only some incomplete sets remain, and I do not like classic bricks that much.

To be honest, I don't know, maybe I will build a real house, because I had ever watched a
TV show that someone really used Lego to make a 1: 1 ratio house, where the water, electricity, fire and equipment were fully equipped, even the locks and keys were made of Lego, but he couldn’t stand it after a few days of living because of his foot pain haha.

Yes, sometimes I stepped on it by accident, it was really a bit painful, but not that much. Also as I mentioned in last question, the reason that guy couldn't stand it was a foot pain, I can imagine his pain.
1. As a child, I loved lego, I could build all day long until I ran out of blocks. I liked classic lego the most, because they gave unlimited fun. I had little themed lego, probably two Harry Potter sets. Of course, I still have the blocks, I could not part with them.

Of course I did. There are more terrible feelings, but Lego bricks in my feet are not the opposite. That could really hurt, especially when I was a child.
Of course, I liked to play with Lego as a child. I had one set with a farm and one set with a restaurant. But I still enjoy assemble Lego and I am lucky to have a little sister and a cousin, so I have always helped them in doing this :)
And I want to mention that there are Lego sets not just for children, for example, Lego Architecture or Lego Creator. I already have a built model of the Great Wall of China.

Interesting question. Maybe it would be real size furniture. It would be interesting to have a Lego-style house.

Oh, yes, I had such experience, it was very painful. But Lego is a very customer-friendly company. It makes ANTI-Lego slippers to protect your feet.
House built with Lego sounds nice. If I recall correctly, I think James May from Top Gear did such thing. But I don't know what happened to house afterwards. Living in such house could be hard though, don't you think? Even if we could make it fully functioning, let's say heavy winter is coming. I don't doubt that Lego quality would withstand even the heaviest snow on the roof, but warming such house would be heavy task.
I agree it wasn't that painful at all. I think the worst thing about stepping on Lego, was the fact, that we never expected it. It was similar to how slashers works. They use scare-jumps to make their horror affect you, but it won't leave any significant marks afterwards. You'll just move on and forget about it. So living in such house wouldn't be too painful I think. But there are a lot of factors to take into, aside from personal pain tolerance, we'd have to take into account individual person, a brick and situation in which we step on it. If we look back in time then losing Lego sets is probably way more painful than stepping on bricks :D
2. I have always been fascinated by vehicles and machines - excavators, cranes, bulldozers. If I had blocks - probably Lego Technics - I'd like to assemble one of these vehicles. It looks good on the desk. Of course, this would not be on a 1: 1 scale, but reduced accordingly.

Most likely I did, I don't recall however the pain to be that huge, maybe if it hypothetically would happen today I would change my view.
Of course I had lego bricks. It was my favorite pastime and I spent a lot of time with it. I used standard bricks. I also had a few sets but I preferred to build my own constructions and mechanisms. My father infected me with love for lego bricks. He was an engineer constructor himself and I am also an engineer. lego bricks are a part of almost every childhood and especially mine.

Not once and not twice. It hurts. However, the blocks have sharp edges. They can stick quite strongly into the leg and even cut the skin. They can also get lost and then they are gone.
Nowadays, I don’t play with LEGO anymore, but my brother, who is 31 has like a hundred sets of them, all of which he got for his last year birthday or bought for half a price from a friend that works at LEGO. They are mostly machines and vehicles, but he also got the same firefighters set that we got from our parents back when we were little :D

I used to play with lego bricks a lot when I was a child. The thing that I enjoyed the most about them was that I was able to build other toys with them. Very often I used my lego to build swords or other weapons, as boys do. All of my bricks went to my cousins but I am hope that they are not going to waist. The biggest advantage of those bricks is the fact that they are timeless.

Many, many times. I know that the way people describe that pain is a little bit over the top but it is not that inaccurate when you think about it. As a child I played a lot with Lego. I remember that I received my first Lego for Christmas. That was a classic set of bricks. Today I don’t have any Lego sets. My cousin have some sets and I help him with building. I prefer Lego Technic.

There are couple of things that define my childhood and one of it is Lego. That was a gift-to-go on any occassion for family members or friends and I didn't complain. I think I've got almost all of the arctic lego set. I think somewhere around my age 15 we've donated all my legos to child care home.
