Dark Matter is theoretically matter non-emitting and non-reflective electromagnetic radiation.
Yes, I wrote „theoretically” because it’s existence is not confirmed and scientists only guess just by exerted gravity effects.

If Dark Matter will appear to be a powerful fuel source, then it could possibly solve all that petrol producing-environmental pollutioning thing. Unfortunantley, killing Teslas as well, since power plants do pollute Earth as well.
I agree with you that Black Matter can become a revolution but at this point we can’t say anything more about it.
There is a chance that dark matter may be “danger” for humanity. For example, antimatter, which is already discovered is extremely “lethal” because it annihilates with normal matter and produces enormous amount of energy. If I remember correctly, annihilation of 1 kg of antimatter is equivalent to 50 megaton atomic bomb. Therefore, if dark matter has similar traits, it could be dangerous for us.
The second one is not so positive for us as humanity. I'm afraid that people might figure out a way of how to make weapons out of it. Discovering it might be a time when our world will also change dramatically but in a wrong way — the company who will find it might entitle itself as a new world ruler (since it will become the most powerful company in the world, able to annihilate the whole humankind).
For sure there is a long way before we will find a use of dark matter. So I hope in this case law will not get behind and we won't annihilate ourselves.
I can't assume, we are close or not, but I think the progress of AI will accelerate this process. In my mind, black matter is a key for understanding the whole universe, and when I see what is happening in the world now, I am sure that we are definitely not ready to discover more about it.
Space is a dangerous thing for us, I do not think that black matter is safer.
You need to remember that physics really creates just models of the universe. It doesn't explain what exactly is going on, but it finds some kind of mathematical constructs which can explain what we observe. So once we have enough observations, we can either verify if our model is still working or if we should change it. It's like Newton's mechanics which was enough to explain some things but then was replaced by Einstein's theories. Now we have even more complicated models like string theory and we still don't know if this one is a good model.
I think at some point we'll gather enough observation to decipher what Dark Matter actually is or can be. And if it will be a danger to us entirely depends how we will decide to use it. The same as with radioactive energy - we can use it for good or we can just blow stuff up.

I do not like long-term sea trips; perhaps the tediousness and uniformity of the sea level make me avoid a long journey of the sea. Another reason I might miss a trip like this one is that there are problems like traveling during a trip or a storm while traveling.
Almost everything can be dangerous in human's hands. Even the experiences for cheep energy as nuclear energy we conducted in order to help people to have affordable electricity. And that this energy was used as weapons of mass destruction. That is my point.
Real question is, what exactly dark matter is? We can’t say it can be dangerous if we don’t know what we are facing. But to be honest, we all know that it can be extremely powerful and personally, I think it will be dangerous. We need years to discover it and a lot more to learn how to control this power.
I do not see what could be dangerous here. People at the beginning may be afraid of such technology, so they will stay away from it. I think it can be a big step forward if we learn to produce black matter on an ongoing basis.

Each new discovery involves a certain risk if humanity uses it in the right direction or destroy itself.
Of course it could be dangerous if will be used by bad people. Atomic bombs are great example of since used in bad way, so we can only hope that this time it will be used only by great, good people.
I think black matter will have the same impact on humanity that regular matter has. It will be beneficial in the right hands and dangerous in the wrong hands.
I really hope that research’s will continue to explore this mysterious part of our reality. Maybe one day, we will finally reach the point, when we discover its real purpose. Being able to understand or even manipulate dark matter will surely open new unbelievable horizons. I don’t think that dark matter can be considered as a danger for humanity. Of course, as any new tool, it could be used to harm others but it’s definitely not a threat by its nature.
