Week 5 [12-18.11.18] Diablo Immortal announcement

Source: https://www.extremetech.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/615970-diablo-immortal-640x360.jpg

Diablo Immortal – new mobile game  was announced on the second of November by Blizzard Entertainment, but the response was probably different than the expected.

Blizzard Entertainment is an American video game developer and publisher which was founded on February 8, 1991. Games that were developed or published by them (Warcraft series, Diablo series, StarCraft series, World of Warcraft) have achieved a huge success and they have gained a lot of fans. You can say quite safely that they have the biggest, the most loyal fan base in video game industry.

Diablo is an action role-playing hack and slash video game series and the first game in the series was released on December 31, 1996 and the sequel was released  on June 29, 2000. At that time they were considered as the best games in their genre by the vast majority of people and they are certainly iconic in the history of video games. After 12 years since the sequel came out, Diablo 3 premiered on May 15, 2012 and had some technical and design problems. In 2018 the biggest problem of Diablo 3 is the lack of a new content which would keep veterans interested in playing the game. Fans have hoped to hear announcement of new game in the series, remaster of the older one or an new expansion pack for Diablo 3 on this year’s BlizzCon.

BlizzCon is an annual gaming convention organised by Blizzard to promote its franchises. To attend this event you have to travel to Anaheim Convention Center in California and buy a ticket for 199$. During this year’s Diablo panel Blizzard has announced Diablo Immortal as a new mobile game that is co-developed by a Chinese company, Netease. And nothing more. And nobody was satisfied. During their own convention in which the most devoted fans participate, hosts who run the show got booed and laughed at. During Q&A a guy in the red shirt asked if this is an out of season April fool’s joke. The trailer of Diablo Immortal has more than 600,000 dislikes on YouTube and on many game’s forums people are expressing their dissatisfaction. The presentation was a PR disaster and it shown how the company is out of touch with its community. Activision Blizzard stock’s value has dropped by noticeable 7%.

Apart from this affair, Diablo Immortal might generate quite big income for the company as the game could conquer Chinese mobile gaming market with domestic revenue $16 bilion. The only question is why someone in the company decided it is a good idea to present a purely mobile game in front of mostly hardcore pc gamers and give nothing extra to them, something they can wait for.

Questions

  1. Have you heard about Diablo Immortal announcement before? What are your thoughts on the subject?
  2. Did you have any contact with Diablo franchise before?
  3. Do you play on your mobile phone? If so, in what kind of games?

I'm a long time Diablo fan, maybe not a hardcore one, but I've played this game since the first part of the franchise - so it's over 20 years now :) I always liked its fast-paced action, interesting story, and engaging gameplay. So no wonder I was always looking forward to any Diablo announcements. And, along with all the other fans, I found myself disappointed with Blizzard's new game in the world of Sanctuary.
First of all, I'm a PC player. I don't play mobile games, I'd rather just read on mobile instead and I play games when I have a designated time slot for it on the machine that is dedicated for computer games. So I'm definitely not the target client for this product.
But I was also disappointed about lack of any information about Diablo franchise on PC. And I was not happy with what Blizzard is preparing for us, their fans, in the coming year. They are refurbishing old title, not really preparing anything I could look forward to and the only new game is a mobile product which is actually a reskin of an existing Chinese mobile game. So it's not even their original product.
I think Blizzard as a company is losing my trust in them and I'm not really impatiently waiting for any of their announcement - most likely I will just get disappointed again. I think Blizzard is making very bad market decisions right now and they are losing their fans - their most loyal customer base. And that is very bad for their business. That's why they not only lost 7% of their market share just after Blizzcon but over 20% up until now.
I heard about it not so long ago, also read a lot of community dissatisfaction comments about this news. If I'm not mistaken, they just moved Diablo 3 on phone and name it Diablo Immortal, but I'm not sure about this information. Maybe they want to create something new what they didn't have before, but I think that they had to do this not so radical. If they also created some new expansion pack for Diablo 3, I think most of community were satisfied. I played Diablo 3 and some expansion pack. I don't play on my phone, I used it like gadget where I can get some information or communicate with someone also for reading books.
Have you heard about Diablo Immortal announcement before? What are your thoughts on the subject?
Yes, I have heard about it. I am disappointed with the game they presented, it is completely not a thing that everyone was expecting. I hope next year they will announce one hell good game which will be continuation or at least somehow associated with Diablo II / Diablo III story.

Did you have any contact with Diablo franchise before?
I think Diablo universe is one of my favorite. I love playing Diablo II, Diablo III and I enjoy reading books which refer to whole diablo world. If I sum up the number of hours I spent playing games mentioned above, I think it would be approximately half a year of my life :D

Do you play on your mobile phone? If so, in what kind of games?
No I don't play on my mobile phone, for playing games I use my PC or laptop.
Diablo was a dying game already. Yes, indeed, in the good old days it had millions of players. But, as was already noted, Blizzard often do not care much about adding new content in their games. And when they do, well... Look at the recent Hearthstone expansions (Their director even quit, which I find the most funny part), at all those crappy HOTS events. In Overwatch they simply just focus on a competitive part of the game, tweaking balance on a regular basis and nothing more. Well, cannot say about StarCraft much.

I have no idea what their business analysts are doing, but I certainly cannot keep up with them. The decision to take place in a mobile gaming market is quite reasonable. As was already noticed -- mobile platforms are one of the most popular gaming platforms worldwide. Really, check it. I was shocked too. However, they are popular only in China, Korea, India, and some southern american countries. In China in particular they hold about 2/3 of the whole gaming market, so the profit from their fanbase could be quite big. But is it worth the loyalty of the old western fans? Guess, Blizzard thought it is.
Of course I heard about the Diablo Immortal announcement. I hope it will not be a big disappointment. I'm a huge fan of Diablo games since the first game, but I do not really play games on the phone. I would like them to release a new game on PC or PS, because these days I rather play on these devices.

I have heard about Diablo Immortal announcement from people playing blizzard's different games. There is a lot of people talking about that topic. I don't think that a game like Diablo should be launched on phones, I think it is a game that should be only played on PC or Consoles. You can't even see all the beautiful details on your phone and I don't even want to strat when it comes to gameplay. I played Diablo 2 and Diablo 3. It's like my teenage years game. I loved it and it was really entertaining. I had a feeling like I'm a part of this world. I didn't like diablo 3 leveling up all over again though. It was like you had to do same quests all over again to get bigger level. I think they should have changed that. I have played on my mobile phone in some agility games but I don't remember their names. The problem is that with mobile games you get bored really quicly and you forget about that.

About Diablo Immortal not heard, although the series of games know. I noticed a lot of negative reviews in the direction of Diablo Immortal but it's more likely not because of the plot and due to the fact that it is on a mobile platform

Did you have any contact with Diablo franchise before?
There are games that you want to learn and study, come back and open again with Diablo III, unfortunately, this didn't happen.
The game is fun to pass first time: the plot, the characters, extra characters, but to beat the game with another character or on another level of complexity isn't wanted.
I would like more darkness, Gothic.

Do you play on your mobile phone? If so, in what kind of games?
I very rarely play on the phone, a couple of times a year and only MOBA.

Oh, do I heard about it. Every day I check how many dislikes has the trailer. I am so surprised that it is Blizzard who screwed up so hard. I just don;t understand. It is obvious that they want to have younger audience as their customers but is it really hard to think what would be the reaction of already established audience? As one of the guys said, it looks like out of season April fools joke.
Personally, I've never played Diablo. I know some characters from HotS that was taken from Diablo. So my connection with this franchise is not that strong, but I still can understand the reaction of the audience.
I have a couple of games on my phone, but it's mostly card games, like preference or spider and chess. I've played Reigns a lot. there is not so many quality mobile games nowadays to spend hours with your phone.
Unknown said…
Oh... my... Where to start. It was one of the biggest news in gaming community. I played Diablo 2 and 3, I would't call myself a fan. Nevertheless the... how to call it... cataclysm that happened is the best (and worst for us) example of what is going on with big developers and old titles. Mass Effect Andromeda? A joke after what could have been a biggest new universe after Star Wars. New Battlefront 1 and 2 by EA, reboot of the original series. Tragic. My good, Fallout 76 runing on old engine, old graphics without any plot and loosing track of original history. And now... this.
And no I don't play on mobiles and probably never will. When I play anything I want to feel full immersion. For me games ought to be something that grabs you and squeezes your heart like a fantastic book or movie. Mobile games can't rely do it in my opinion as they are mostly made to be played in 15 minutes intervals when you are for example in the bus.

I have heard about Diablo Immortal announcement before. I think that Activision Blizzard didn't consider it properly and now they have to deal with their fans who are pissed about mobile Disablo game.

I have played Diablo 3 with my friends a couple weeks ago. I really enjoy it and I hope that I will finish the campaign.

I don't play on my phone. I was considering playing Don't Starve on my mobile phone but I rebuffed that idea.
Unknown said…
I didn't hear about this game before. I didn't play and have contact with Diablo before, as result have no thoughts about this game. For me, it's just a marketing mistake of Blizzard, and I believe they had a few before.

Personally, for me, it's a good idea to present Diablo as a mobile game, probably in such type of game, I will play. For now, I'm playing only mobile games because you can do it everywhere when you have a time, instead of playing on your PC. I used to play before in a Hearthstone on my mobile, and it was great, I believe it is Blizzard product, also.
>Have you heard about Diablo Immortal announcement before? What are your thoughts on the subject?
Yes, I have. My opinion is same as most gamers in the world - it sucks. Don't know why but most gaming companies (those the most popular ones) has completely lost interest in pleasing their fanbase. Let's look at betshda - first, they were launching new skyrim every year and now they have launch some kind of joke called Fallout 76. Valve? Realising Half life 3 in a meme now. Konami has killed their own great series Metal Gear Solid. List is still really long, I could think of a ton of others examples as that. When it comes to Diablo on mobile phones my opinion is - we do not need (or even want) it ;)

>Did you have any contact with Diablo franchise before?
Yeah, of course. I've played diablo 2 and diablo 3.

>Do you play on your mobile phone? If so, in what kind of games?
Not much, I consider them as "toilet time" games. Now I have just one game, called Super Mario Run. It's quite fun, but not cheap one.
I've watched most of this event. I'm not biggest Diablo fan but second part is part of my childhood. Also i liked image of blizzard as they were known for listening to their fanbase. Not this time... Every gamer know that blizzard fans are in 90% pc gamers, and most of them thinks about mobile games as not real successor of pc and in many cases despise them. So how blizzard could think that anyone will like this idea?? I have no clue.
Of course im mostly pc gamer but i've played some mobiles but only when i was away. In home i do never play on my mobile as it never makes me satisfied, its only time killer so im not bored while using public transport. But even then, i prefer to read book or watch some movie.

Yes, I have heard about this announcement from Blizzcon, but I was more interested in Warcraft 3 reforged information. I didn`t play any of Diablo games, but my friends who enjoys playing it are saying all as one that this will destroy Diablo fanbase.
I play mobile games only when I really have nothing to do. I prefer playing board games over other genres.
Yes, i have heard about Diablo Immortal announcement before. I saw a lot of pictures, gifs etc about it, especially about guy in red shirt. In my opinion people reaction wasn’t very surprising, I have to admit I had similar feelings. As it was said in presentation, most of Diablo fan base are people who played and loved Diablo 1 &2, they are dedicated PC players. Diablo 3 was already quiet controversial, for “soft” graphics full of bright colours, shallow plot and what is more important absurd mechanics. I would be pleased if new game was much more dark, complex and have some interesting plot. However Blizzard decided to release mobile game. For me mobile games are associated with bright colors and simple gameplay (which is result of limited abilities of touch screens). I don’t mean they are bad games. I have few mobile games and I think some of them are brilliant, they are perfect for device for which they were made, like Pokemon Go. This game uses GPS tracking as base of gameplay and allows to use camera for catching Pokémon’s. However, for me, Diablo should be for PC or at least console.
I played all previous Diablo series and I really liked them. First game was awesome because of scary, horror like climate. Diablo 2 had extremely intense tension, player had to watch every step while breaking through dark, complex underground tombs filled with dreadful creatures.
No, I have not heard about this announcement from Blizzard. Personally, I think, Blizzard does not owe anything to its so-called “fans” who are ready to set the company on fire for any minor act which does not coincide with their imaginary coordinate system. And Diablo: Immortal, no doubt, will be great - because it’s Blizzard. Mobile Diablo is generally the only possible way of development of this genre, namely on smartphones and tablets that you always have with you, its essence will be fully revealed. After all, this is a real "time-killer" - the best choice to spend time on the way to work or study.
Yes, I have played Diablo 3 a couple times, but I am not a fan to be fair.
I play mobile games but not very often and I prefer card or "time-killer" games. Also , I was very impressed by mobile version of PUBG - super "time-killer" and in my opinion - mobile game of the year.

I have never heard of Diablo Immortal, so it's hard for me to relate to it. But I like the game itself and remember how I managed to spend the whole night playing Diablo

That's how I play games on my phone. I often love simple, fast games that I can fire for a few minutes. But at the moment I'm also playing a great clicker game, Tap Titans 2. I've been playing for over a year and I'm not bored all the time, I think I'll be playing it for a long time.
As Diablo and Blizzard fan, of course, I heard about Diablo Immortal. I'm so disappointed with it. I used to play Diablo a lot since Diablo 2 and loved this game so much. I played Diablo 3 a lot at a high level, but now it has a big problem, cause of no fresh content. I think not only I was waiting for the announcement of Diablo 4 or something that'll extend the content of Diablo 3. But Blizz just fails. Making this amazing game for mobile is a very bad idea and they will pay for it because I don't believe that at least 50% of D3 fans would like to play this smaller and weaker version of the game they used to play.
Do I wanna play new Diablo? Unfortunately yes, only because I love this game I want to try, but I don't believe it will be good.
I play on my mobile a bit. I'm not a fan of mobile games, but there are a few quite interesting games that you can enjoy during a long way from work.

In my opinion Diablo series is one of the franchises that had a big influence on game industry. It brought hack-and-slash RPG to the new level. I don't understand fan's reaction to the new mobile game. Diablo III isn't so old and many people still play this game, so what do they expect?

I used to play Diablo I, Hellfire, Diablo II and Diablo II add-don. For me the best is Diablo II add-on because I spent a big chunk of time playing this with my friends. I've never played Diablo III because when it was released that was a period of time when I didn't play online games at all. And still don't play.

I have only one game on my phone that called Music Racer. The name says everything. I played it two or three times. I'm not a fan of mobile games or mobile phones in general.

1. Yes, I did. Mostly because of the red shirt guy. Every company's goal is to earn profit, but it should never be done on expense of the devoted fanbase. There is always a way to gain profit and please the audience. It may not be the easy way, but it is the right one. Hopefully Blizzard will learn a lesson.

2. Not really.

3. As a proud owner of iPhone 4S I do not play any mobile games, since most of them won't work anyway. But when I first got my phone, I played a lot of games. Literally anything that piqued my interest. The only condition was that it had to be available for free.

Diablo Immortal with its all backstory, the Blizzcon status, hype buildup and all was a huge slap in the face from Blizzard to their loyal fans. Thats how they have been rewarded for they loyalty through years and years and its sad to see them be disregarded and treated as a cash cow.
I have played Diablo 2 and i have been anticipation Diablo 3 when it was coming out but i have not pulled the trigger on D3. I cant say i was in market for Diablo 4 unfortunately.
I dont play on my mobile phone, thats what my PC is for.

I am not a fan of this franchise. My experience with it is limited by few days of free trial of Diablo 3 gameplay. I guess dungeon crawler or hack and slash are just not my genres of a game. But even though I might not be impressed by gameplay, I cannot deny that Diablo has extraordinary, catching and rich lore. I think that exactly the story and its great atmosphere managed to build such a huge fanbase.
But as we know things didn’t go so well for Diablo fans. For years there was no new content and all you could do was wait. And then, finally, Blizzard announced that they are going to present something new on BlizzCon. Of course everyone was exited. The most optimistic ones hoped there will be Diablo 4 announcement, but majority of fans were expecting some DLC or Diablo 2 Remastered. No wonder everybody got outrageous at the little pocket Diablo game for mobiles.
Mobile gameplay just completely differs from console or PC gaming. Mostly because of a hardware. Smartphones don’t possess such capabilities as PC or a console. The final nail in the coffin of Diablo Immortal became the fact that the game is being developed by some Chinese company which is known for producing same type, boring mobile games.
In a conclusion, I think, Blizzard have created a problem for them themselves. They knew how fast the hype is growing and how loyal fans are to the franchise. Nevertheless, they’ve decided that Diablo Immortal was a good idea and now, they have to deal with consequences.

Yes, I have heard about Diablo Immortal announcement before and I have very mixed feelings about this. On the one hand creating iconic game such as Diablo exclusively on mobile devices is not the best idea, because it’s impossible to make mobile game as good as PC version considering video and audio quality, controls etc. Also, a lot of “veterans” in Diablo series are PC gamers not mobile games/devices enthusiasts which will definitely have bad influence on Diablo Immortal marketing and sales. On the other hand, I’m not so negatively oriented on this game release because I like playing on my smartphone a lot and having a great full-size game just on my phone is nice perspective especially that I will be able to play it everywhere I want. I had contact with Diablo franchise before, I played a little bit of Diablo I and Diablo II which was really pleasant experience and a lot od Diablo III. I was even on Diablo III premiere at Złote Tarasy in Warsaw and overall, I enjoyed playing this series a lot. As I mentioned earlier, I often play on my smartphone in all different kind of games. There is no rule to what kind of games I’m playing I guess it just depends on my mood and state of mind.
Unknown said…
I heard about Diablo Immortal for the first time from your article. In my opinion it’s quiet good idea to make games like this on smartphones but it should be only addition. This company should mainly focus on new interesting theme on pc games like Diablo 2.

I didn’t have such contact before so it’s not easy for me yo say anything about it.

Yeaaaas of course. I play very often on my smartphone but not in such games. If I have to play in good game I prefer to play on computer. I play mobile games only when I have to wait on something eg. when I am waiting in a queue to the doctor then I play in short arcade games.

Blizzard responded that Diablo Immortal is a completely new game and not a reskin of Crusaders of Life which is NetEase's games, a studio with which Blizzard cooperates on process of creation of the game. I just wonder how much there is truth in this statement.
Maciej Nowak said…
Someone during the presentation noticed that Diablo Immortal actually has some features that are missing in Diablo 3 and hosts where asked if they are going to make this game playable on PC. I agree with you that if Blizzard prepared something for those fans, just some stupid teaser of the next Diablo 4 on which they are working, it would be sufficient and could prevent this huge backlash.
Maciej Nowak said…
It has been hinted that Blizzard works on Diablo 4 so maybe next year they will announce something that will satisfy Diablo's fans.
Marcin Krupa said…
Sure, I have heard about that new game. Also, I saw huge Diablo's fans disappointment. To be honest, I don't understand that. Diablo's franchise just wanted to conquer mobile platform. They are not telling us that D Immortal is Diablo 4.
Blizzard’s initial response was dumb - I agree with that, but not as dumb as the crybabies moaning that Blizzard is destroying theirs dreams etc.

Personally, I'm not interested in this game, 'cause if I wan't to play game in trains, buses etc. I have handheld console.
I didn't play Diablo yet, but I want to try Diablo 3.
Maciej Nowak said…
Diablo 3 could be named a dead game, but franchise is still rather strong and recognisable by many gamers. If Blizzard will make a decent Diablo 4 and add new content frequenlty, similiar to leagues in Path of Exile, then it can easily collect a huge group of active users.
Piotr Ciesla said…
I didn’t hear about Diablo Immortal. Well, it might be hit or miss, it depends how much of real Diablo will emerge in this mobile version.
Unfortunately I didn’t have much contact with Diablo franchise. I’ve only played Diablo 3. If I play on my phone is usually simple game. Sometimes it’s 5 sometimes it’s 10 minutes but I don’t spend much time on my phone
Unknown said…
I've never heard about it - maybe because I've never played Diablo series before. Your article seems to be intresting, but as I said - I'm not a fan of this series so it's hard for me to realte to your questions.
I only play on my phone when I using toilet so... nah, I don't rally play on my mobile phone much. I'd rather checking social media and watching stupid, viral videos only to waste my time.
Unknown said…
I've heard about the Diablo Immortal announcement before, and the audience reaction has not surprised me in the slightest. Blizzard should have taken steps to stop this from getting out of control, as the community has been awaiting a new Diablo game for a long time, and seeing that the next Diablo game is a mobile game must have dissapointed everyone greatly. I've played both Diablo 2 and Diablo 3 before, and while I'm not that big of a diablo fan, I was mildly disappointed as well when I've heard about this. As for playing games on my mobile phone, I don't really do so - I think that mobile games are too simple and aren't very fun to play. Instead, I prefer to use my mobile phone for reading.
Unknown said…
That's how I heard about diablo immortal and I'm an opponent of something like that.
I do not support games so extensive on the phone, because it's hard to move and the graphics will not be the same.
I played the most in diablo2 LoD and this is my favorite game, I praise myself that I was top 16europe and so far I have had a very strong account built for years.
I do not play because it is not convenient anyway now the phones quickly eat the battery, which is not practical, I would have to powerbank everywhere
I've heard about Diablo immortal announce, and even though i do not expect something extremely surprising from Blizzard anymore, this one just made me extremely dissapointed. The funny thing is that this chinese mobile junk was presented like the most significant achievement in Diablo series, even though fans expected anything except that. EA's experience with command and conquer did not teach them, so now they should not act surprised taht Diablo immortal is such a dissapointment. I do not play mobile games, because i spend too much playing computer games anyway.
Yes, I heard about Diablo Immoral (xD) before and... oh man I was so disappointed.
A few days before day 0 I came back to Diablo III with friends and we had a lot of fun farming GR, doing bounties and so on.
I wasn't expecting much, I realized that Blizzard has forgotten Sanctuary, but even a new patch with some end-game content would make me happy.
But I wasn't expecting... a mobile game.
I hate playing games on smartphone so I'm not going to play Diablo Immortal.
But I believe that Activision-Blizzard made a wise decision- mobile games in Asia are very popular and the game is going to make them a lot of money.
A turning point in our world is that more and more people use mobile solutions. These can be phones, tablets, or some kind of hybrid device. For example, my girlfriend uses only the phone, and confirms with confidence that she does not need any desktop solutions. She does not want to use a computer. Maybe she is right. But everyone has the right to their own vision. For example, my girlfriend uses her phone to edit photos. I find it inconvenient. So do other people. For example, fans of a computer game could only play on the computer. After ten years since the game was released, the makers offered an exclusively mobile version of the game, which made players unhappy. Although, I will not say that it is bad. The world is heading towards mobile solutions. I play few games, but still play. I am a fan of old games which I played in my youth, and continue to play them. Only now, instead of buying a game console, I play on emulators, on my phone.

1. Have you heard about Diablo Immortal announcement before? What are your thoughts on the subject?

- I've heard about Diablo Immortal infamous announcement from my college while we were exercising in a gym. I did not trust him so I have checked this on the Internet and I had to admit it was hilarious to see the faces of developers after the red t-shirt guy asked his question.

2. Did you have any contact with the Diablo franchise before?

- I've played Diablo 2 together with my friends back in a day when internet cafes were popular.

3. Do you play on your mobile phone? If so, in what kind of games?

- I do not play any mobile games. I prefer to listen to music on my phone or check the pictures of dogs on it rather than play games. But I will give a shot Diablo Immortal maybe it will a good solution to kill some time before the classes.
1. I have seen a few “crucial” moments of the presentation, but I was not interested in watching the whole. I think they should have done it different way, but this is just how big companies work. They shouldn’t have hyped it so much before the evening. It could have been just additional announcement of mobile game. Fans were prepared for the next big thing that could restore former glory of the series, and I understand their disappointment. Considering also that this game will not be made by blizzard itself but just outsourced to some studio, it is even more outrageous. But it is also understandable from blizzard perspective. They need to fill the gap in Chinese market and this move for sure will bring a lot of money.
2. I had but I haven’t put so much time into Diablo as in other Blizzard franchises. But I know how much effort they put into creating big, consistent worlds.
3. For most cases no. Probably only in planes to unload the stress
Yes I've heard about it and I saw a video when disappointed fan, asked the presenter if this is a late april fool's joke ( and the audience reaction was awesome).
No I haven't played Diablo but I've heard that it was a very good game then. Nowadays we have a lot of better titles to play.
Yes, sometimes when I commute to work, generally everytime I am in public transport or in bathroom :) I usually play some RPG games or tower defence.

1. Have you heard about Diablo Immortal announcement before? What are your thoughts on the subject?
Yes, I have heard about it, and I have a mixed feelings. I can imagine that fans are dissapointed, but actual crowd reaction was surprising for me. I think that it's a good step for Blizzard.

2. Did you have any contact with Diablo franchise before?
Yes, I was a fan of Diablo 2 when I was a kid. I've played Diablo 3 a little, but it didn't attracted me.

3. Do you play on your mobile phone? If so, in what kind of games?
Not anymore - I have been playing too much in my opinion, so I deleted all games from my phone

Have you heard about Diablo Immortal announcement before? What are your thoughts on the subject?

I've been very disapointed. I'm a big fan of Diablo series and I expected something bigger. I do not enjoy playing such a games on smartphone, so I won't be interested in it probably. I've expected something like the HD remaster of old Diablo, but not this :(

Did you have any contact with Diablo franchise before?

Yes, I've played a lot of Diablo 2 on Battle.net. I've enjoyed this game so much, and I know it too well I think. The times when I was playing it were very good

Do you play on your mobile phone? If so, in what kind of games?

Sometimes yes, but not quite often - it's not comfortable for me to play on touch screen. I do prefer physical controllers in playing video games, so I can handle it better. I do enjoy simple games, with simple and creative gameplay, not that fancy super hd graphics shooters or similar.
I have no heard about this game announcement before. I think that new games that can utilize power of modern phones is good but I don't like to play in mobile games. I have no contacted with Diablo franchise before.

Yes, i play on my mobile phone in Clash of clans but I think that games didn't have to take a lot of my free time. Usually I play in it up to 10 min and not more because I have own things to do except playing in games.

Every year I watch BlizzCon, so of course I’ve heard about Diablo Immortal announcement before. As that I’m a big fan of games, is an obligatory item to play Diablo. In my opinion introduction the mobile game as next series to this title is weak and demeaning for the brand. Moreover, this game should get something more than only mobile game, because PC’s have more possibilities for graphics. Mobile phone will never reach to the same level as personal computer. As I mentioned before I used to play every part of Diablo. It was super experience because of the atmosphere and the plot. You can always create your hero according to your own taste and experience adventures with it. Mobile games aren’t and won’t be on the high level. Leading to create new mobile games, people become addicted of games because they accompanied everywhere like mobile phone. All attention is focused on the screen of small device and they don’t pay attention to world around them.

Yes, unfortunately I've heard about it. To be honest, it's a total garbage for me.
I'm a huge Diablo series fan since day one. I spent countless hours on playing Diablo 2 and Diablo 3 RoS. When Diablo 3 came out, I was kinda disappointed because of its linearity.
Fortunately The Reaper of Souls brought it back to life and I spent about 1000 hours playing it.
No, I'm not playing games on my mobile device. Maybe that's because I'm not playing games anymore. I'm just bored with it, but I'm thinking about getting myself PS4 to be able to play the Red Dead Redemption 2 ;).

I have not followed any news regarding this particular franchise, nor have I played the original instalment of the series. I used to play various mobile games, however nowadays I prefer to spare my free time using Feedly (a news aggregator app) or Spotify - continuously searching for new music.

Have you heard about Diablo Immortal announcement before? What are your thoughts on the subject?
I have not heard about Diablo Immortal announcement, but I have found it very interesting that the only platform which will be available is mobile. I would never guess that this type of game would be comfortable to play on small screens, but there we go.

Did you have any contact with Diablo franchise before?
No I didn't, I don't specially like this kind of games. I may be open to try this game out, but I guess I would need to have a lot of spare time to do it.

Do you play on your mobile phone? If so, in what kind of games?
No I do not play games in general, except FIFA from time to time. It happens to me that I download some mobile game just to try it out, but I rather uninstall it pretty quick afterwards.
1. Yes I heard about Diablo Immortal announcement. Mostly because I play another game made by Blizzard which is WoW. When it comes to my opinion about whole matter, well I certainly won't be playing that mobile game. Firstly because I never been interested in Diablo, secondly because I don't play mobile games. Probably the move made by Blizzard in this case wasn't planned properly. However, I still think that introducing Diablo to mobile devicescan be beneficial for them in terms of income.

2. I have never played Diablo in my life. I don't like this type of games.

3. I don't play any games on my phone. It's caused by the fact that I play a lot on my PC. I just don't enjoy games on mobile phones because those on PC and consoles are so much better.

As one of the fans who said there: "Is this an early joke on the first of April?" I play blizzard titles and I'm disappointed with their attitude this year. They showed nothing new or anything to invest our money in. I consider it to be Blizzard's biggest defeat so far, nothing new - old “garbage”. I am disappointed.
It's hard to find hard player who did not have contact with Diablo on a pc. This game is a classic among games of this type. I am curious about the way of this game on the phone, but I doubt that it would win my heart.
I play games on the phone, different types. My games that I play: Clash of Clans, Candy Crush Saga, Hempire and Plants vs Zombie 2. As you can see, I will not get bored in the subway or on the toilet.
Oh boy, where do I start with this one. My sides are still somewhere in the low earth orbit after hearing about how Blizzard handled this presentation. Even though I haven’t played it myself, I know that Diablo is a game series that originated and thrived on the PC platform for years, so it’s not surprising that its avid fans expected for it to continue in this way. Certainly, the worst thing you could possibly do when being booed at and whistled was to ask “What, do you guys not have phones?”. I don’t find it much of a shock that people feel offended by this situation and think that Blizzard has lost touch with its fans. What makes the situation worse is that rather than back out of it, or make amends, the developer seems to be ignoring the backlash they received, especially seeing that their stock value has plummeted. Though at the same time, it is a huge company and as such wouldn’t make such a risky move if there wasn’t profit to be made – and let’s be honest, the loyal fans will whine now, but when the game comes out they’ll likely pick it up regardless. I’m not going to do so, because I don’t quite believe in “large titles” on mobile. If I wanted to play a high quality, involved game, I have my PC for that. My mobile gaming revolves around two types of games. One being good for a short simple play, when in bus or an overly long queue – so puzzles and simple arcade games. The other a bit more complex, but low maintenance – something that progresses without my direct involvement, and I get to see the progress every now and then when I open the app – so gacha games and idlers.

As a person who regularly enjoys blizzard games as a way of blowing of steam, I regularly watch blizzcons, hence most of the newly announced productions from the hands of this company are not slipping through my watch unnoticed. My reaction to this particular one would be best approximated using the words that quickly followed the games' presentation, "it feels like an out of season april fools joke."

I've had the pleasure to play diablo 2 in its prime, as well as diablo 3 up until they've decided to get rid of the "real-money auction house". But that would summarize my experience with the franchise as well as whole genre of hack-and-slash'es.

Mobile games are not my cup of tea, when it comes to gaming experience PC is my go-to machine, I tend to use my phone for reading articles or communicating with my peers.

Week 11 [03-09.06.2019] The problem with ecological cars emission in UK

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form. These can be particles of sea salt, clouds from the Sahara and artificial compounds made by people. These compounds often come fr

Week 12 (12.01-18.01.15) Are you an early bird or a night owl ?

Owls are nocturnal creatures. They’re wide awake at night and they sleep during the day. If this sounds like bliss to you, then, like about 20 percent of the population who find themselves most active at around 9 pm, you may fall into the same category as our feathered friend. Night owls often have difficulty waking up in the morning, and like to be up late at night.  Studies of animal behaviour indicate that being a night owl may actually be built into some people’s genes. This would explain why those late-to-bed, late-to-rise people find it so difficult to change their behaviour. The trouble for night owls is that they just have to be at places such as work and school far too early. This is when the alarm clock becomes the night owl’s most important survival tool. Experts say that one way for a night owl to beat their dependence on their alarm clocks is to sleep with the curtains open. The Theory is that if they do so, the morning sunlight will awaken them gently and naturally.
