“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page” - Augustine of Hippo

This quote only underlines what everybody already knows. The world is full of wonders, we just need to do the first step to explore it. We need to take a decision. But sometimes it is very hard. Sometimes it is that much hard that people end up never trying. Why?
One can say it is not that easy just to leave everything behind and go and travel the world.
“I have to graduate my school first…”
“I will just start my career, to get some experience, and then I will definitely go.”
“Yes it sounds terrific, but...what about my family? “
“What about my dog ? My car? My home? …”
“I don’t have money for it...maybe one day…” etc.
All of this sounds like we really want to travel but actually we are just too afraid to do it. Excuses.
The thing is: There is always something that will keep you in a place. Something you will be enforced to leave behind. Now the question arises: Is it worth it? To leave the life I know and throw myself into unknown?
When you are young, you have a lot of power, excitement, strength to do whatever you want to. To reach your goals, to make your dreams reality.
When you look at your whole life, you will see memories that you are proud of, that you are really happy to have...and some moments that you regret. What can it be? What can you regret? Travelling the world? Being in China? Seeing Los Angeles? Meeting amazing, exotic people? Knowing new cultures? No way. Your fears hold you back.
This is what kill your dreams.
People who decide to travel always take a risk. Life is an adventure, especially during travels. But it’s experiencing. You learn a lot. All the time something good happens to you, something bad, you make good decisions, bad decisions, just like in life. But if you learn how to take care of yourself, how not to be afraid during the travel...life is going to be easier for you as well.
Not even mentioning how big and good inspiration you will become for others to make their first step.
The question I put in the title is actually not that easy. To give you some short answer for this question: you have to figure it out by yourself. :) If it’s right for you. All you need to do is...take a trip! And then think about it. Reflect on what you got out of it and if it was good or bad for you. But I know a lot of people who made it, who did their first step, who travelled the world and after that...they always have one answer to this question: YES!
Take a look at some encouraging videos of people who traveled the world:
And below I have put a link to a very interesting and funny TEDx presentation about this subject, if you are interested in it, I recommend watching it :)
some questions for you:
Do you like travelling ? Do you travel a lot ?
Maybe you have some amazing story to tell ?
How do you feel about the subject ? Is travelling the world really worth it or is it just overhyped?
Thanks for reading!

I think traveling has only positive sides, because people can actually get to know new places, new people, various cuisines and different traditions of this place they are visiting.
I think that traveling can only broaden one's horizon and expand one's knowledge about the world.
Travels thouth me a lot. I become more independent and responsible I saw a lot and experienced many. For me traveling is woth any price but i allways chose low cost solutions and trip that sound like unattainable for a lot of people in really can be cheaper then holidays at the Polish seaside.
I like travelling, but I haven't been in many places - I hope I will change it someday :) But I think that I wouldn't leave everything so I can only travel.
Personally I love traveling and I travel a lot, but traveling makes sense only if it's an adventure, for example there's no need in just seeing Eiffel tower - you can view millions of photos, use Google Street View, simply imagine it and you're done:) It's better when there's some unique experience.
When I think about travelling and friends, I always think about you :D it's funny because we don't know about our after-school life too much :p
Coming back to topic..
For me, as propably for most of us, travelling is getting to know world. I mean cultures, people, hobbys, food and so on. That's why I love travelling.
Some time ago I went to Croatia with my girlfriend. It was spontaneous trip that's why we didn't book any accomodation. It was July. In the middle of holidays.
We arrived about 9 a.m. and started to search a room. Nothing. After whole day we had nothing. To be honest, it was problem for us. In fact, nights was very hot, but sleeping on the 'beach' was scary (well, not beach - it was rocks) ;)
All in all, we found a room next day and spent beautiful time. It wasn't big trip to the USA or Asia, but for me, apart from beautiful time, it was amazing experience.
That's why I fully agree with you - travelling is not a thing we can regret! Despite the problems which are associated with it.
I think that everyone should travel and visit as many places he can. There are so many incredible places on earth to see! These will be good memories to be proud of in future.
- kite-surfing (Fuertaventura),
- scuba diving (Egypt),
- water scooters (Greece),
- rock climbing (Majorca, Minorca),
- rafting,
- dog sleeding (Norway).
- skydiving (Poland),
and many more that have a need to have good physical condition.
I'm also going to places that might not be available or not in so good condition in few years:
- Venice,
- Iceland.
Normal (calm way :) of sightseeing will be reserved to do when I'm 50 - Grand Canion will wait for me :)
I think it is important to travel as it opens your mind for other religions, nationalities and culture.
When travelling you can also meet a lot of great people and see amazing places and most important learn some amazing things that were out of your reach when sitting only in one place.
I love to talk with people who have the "traveling spirit", hitchhike and always plan new adventures. I love reading books about different cultures and places around the world. I also admire my brave and independent friends who know how to organize everything in advance, never get lost in new places and always can find cheap tickets.
