Week 11 [14-20.01.19] Drifting on the streets

Drifting

A few years ago there was a huge drama because of this movie. Many people were criticising the main "actors", however many people were accepting that kind of entertainment.

  • What is your opinion about it?
  • Do you like motorsports like this?
  • Do you think that there should be more racetracks for drivers, where they could practice their skills without harming people?

For some time now I have been attending the Warsaw Night Racing season, where such actions that happen on this video are happening in real life and I watch it with pleasure. In addition to showing your cars, it is time to burn rubber and race at traffic lights. According to the film, I really like it. It's irresponsible for some of the drivers, but you can see that they are experienced in what they do and that's not their first flying sideways.
The smell of burnt rubber is one of my favorite fragrances in the automotive industry.
All tracks in Poland are expensive. I would like to go for a professional track where I could improve my driving techniques, but in my opinion such tracks should be much more in the country and their prices should be much lower. After all, it's mainly for our good and the fun is an additional advantage.

My opinion may be different because I like drift and also I’m not a casual driver. I have fast car with sport character and I like using it’s potential on streets but of course trying to make it safe as possible.
I have to say that I like motorsports but to be honest, it’s not the most important thing in my life. That’s why I’m only racing from time to time on the streets. Some time ago I’ve also had an episode with drifting. I had Polish car, Polonez and I welded differential to make it better to drift. I’ve learnt a lot and loved it but next episode to become more professional drifter was to expensive and I had to stop it. But I don’t regret money spent on it. It was great fun!
More racetracks will help but it will be still too expensive for people who want to start their adventure with drift.

Drifting is my passion but I don’t have enough time for me it. I would like to gain more experience but I don’t have enough knowledge. I have to buy an old rear wheel car, get familiar with lot of technical stuff, get use to manual gearbox, spend hundreds of hours drifting, burn dozens of rubbers in order to improve my skill. To be honest I don’t like drifting on parent’s cars because first of all that’s not my own car, secondly spoiling and destroying gearboxes on sounds stupid to me, thirdly, there is no drifting place near.

I am a big fan of motorsports and especially sport cars. The way they look, the way they sound is just impressive. I heard about Warsaw Night Racing and even planned to go for a few times but I always had something else to do.

Yes, I strongly believe that there should be more racetracks, it would decrease the number of accidents and number of law abiding drivers will increase significantly.

I think - great video, exciting moments. I love the car, driving and speed. Often I watch videos where various technical data of the car improves, so that it goes faster, it is more stable on the road. I have never been a participant in street racing, I saw a couple of times in the summer at night various sports cars drove out and competed, but it was a race, not a drift. I believe that there should be tracks for fans of motor racing and competition. Trails are certainly better independent of the rules of road safety. What about "street hooliganism" I am sure that people who drive in the streets - they know what they are doing, they are automatically responsible for financial and moral damage, so this is only their own business. Most likely this happens on the street, because there are no organized trails.

I think that this video is great. I like such videos. The skills shown in this film are far from mine, but I always wanted to experience such a ride. Only when the snow falls, I use the opportunity and try my chances. I think that there are no schools that are able to master such skills. And I don't think that such skills for fun, but also in situations where we lose control over the car and every driver should be able to master the car.
I believe that everyone should fulfill their passions and dreams. These people knew what they were doing and in my opinion they did not pose any danger, but the street is not a circuit and you should not do such things because they harm the real drifter, making them criminals.

Yes, I really like motor sports. In the future I'm going to buy a car that I can learn to drift.

Yes. I believe that private investors should build more tracks and charge for it. At that time, the police would not punish drivers who pursue their passions because they would do it on private property. Investors could earn a lot by building a track near Warsaw.

I support the drift, but not on the streets of the city for me it is bad and dangerous, it is still difficult how to break the driver because at their own request, but maybe someone can do anything, I invite you to special tracks.
I'm not a fan of such a sport, I think that this sport can not be called, but it can make you think what you want :)
There should be more such places because more and more kids have a BMW for 1,400zł and fly where it falls and later they are surprised that something bad happened, I am for it the most.
I would say it is a hobby like any other, but I think it should be definitely trained on the special race track, not on the streets of the city or village. It is too dangerous for people who are not part of this performance (pedestrians or normal road users). I like watching motorsports like this, and also I would love to try drifting one day, but as I mentioned above - in the way which is safe for the others. Taking everything I have written into account, it is obvious that there must be more racing circuits for such type of driving because people who have such passion must develop it somewhere.
Maybe i am not a big fan of motosport, but i think it needs a lot of skills and dedication to do such a things like drifting. Anyway i prefer to watch this on closed objects like Gymkhana or real event like Ebisu Circuit. I don't know if we need more tracks for Drifters because i don't know how much we have and how much drifters are.
But i think that we should have enough tracks to keep drivers practicing it on them.
Not on real road

It’s kind of hard for me to say what i think about it. On one hand i would love to have that much skill as they have. On the other hand it is dangerous and doing it even a night is dangerous. I think i would freaked out when someone like that pass me in traffic.
I would like to watch it from the safe distance. Then i would appreciate it.
I think there are a lot of places where they can practice. But if they need more shure why not. Safe environment is always nice to have

I am against drift on the public roads. It creates many situation that could be dangerous for driver or another humans. In my opinion if you want be a sport driver you should training only in places which intended for this.
Yes, I like drift much. It’s my favorite type of racing. Most of all I like drift, in which take part two cars, it’s look amazing and exiting.
If you really interested in racing you will find some track. I think that people drift on street because training on track is expensive. Owners of tracks should make them more accessible to ordinary people.

Well, I don’t like this kind of stuff. In my opinion situations like this should take place on special tracks. Even masters of drifting can make mistakes. Things shown on the film are risky, and I always say one thing - hurt yourself if you're stupid but don’t do it to innocent people.
I like watching drift competitions but legal ones. More than drifting I like Formula 1 or MotoGP.
There should be definitely more racetracks for drivers where they could do all crazy stuff. And racetrack is a place to do it, not public roads. And please don’t say that I’m talking like an old lady because I can go fast and I’m definitely not afraid of speed, but what for? I’ve seen too much in my life to take such risks when it’s not necessary.

What is your opinion about it?

Wreckless driving, exhibition of speed, wreckless endangerment, fines.
However much troubles you get in if you are caught drifting on the street,
it'll be much much worse if you end up hurting someone.

Do you like motorsports like this?

You need much skill for such drift, good riding. Personally I find it enterteiment.

Do you think that there should be more racetracks for drivers, where they could practice their skills without harming people?
Without doubt. Not only in the summer time, but also winter when road is very dangerous.

I am from this group of people, they are passionate about motorization and I do love to drive myself in this way. Playing with a car allows me to de-stress and learn how to react in some dangerous situations on the road. In my opinion in every bigger city should be made empty squares, where you can play with the car in a safe way. That would limit dangerous situations on public roads.
Drift is fun. I am an ordinary driver, because so far I do not have my own car for such tricks. I remember playing the NSF game, where there is a type of drift racing. In real life, I think even brighter emotions. I like to watch this. In amusement parks, as a rule, they have their own stuntmen team who also show similar tricks. I would like to sit at this moment next to the driver :). I think this is like a roller coaster, only the danger is real. The last question is not very clear for me. I think in every city there is a closed track just for such things. I think it is not fair to use general purpose roads for this purpose, for that there are closed tracks or parking.
Well, I think this is kind of dangerous not for the drivers but for regular people who're just driving at night.
I dont support that kind of hobby, I know that those drivers are very skilled but sometimes its just an accident and innocent person could get killed.
I like motorsports but I cant say I am a big fan, I don;t go and watch it personally I like it more to watch at home at TV or youTube.
I think there should be more places to train and drive careless. People need to relax somewhere and if there is no place provided by government they do it on streets it is pretty common.

What is your opinion about it?
This guy drives well and knows how to do it. However, it is dangerous for other people on the streets so I don't support it.
Do you like motorsports like this?
Yes, I would like to know how to drift like this or take part in some kind of racing competition, but I haven't tried both. Maybe in the future I will try but propably in a legal way.
Do you think that there should be more racetracks for drivers, where they could practice their skills without harming people?
Yes, definetly. This will propably decrease a number of illegal behaviours but for sure won't stop all of them

What is your opinion about it?
I find drifting really enjoyable to watch :) I remember times when I was fascinated by watching Fast & Furious Tokyo Drift. I even hoped to try it myself, but I grew up and was able only to buy Toyota Yaris :D But I'd try it for sure in the future :)

Do you like motorsports like this?
It's fun to watch, but I'd only try it on safe zone with someone with experience :)

Do you think that there should be more racetracks for drivers, where they could practice their skills without harming people?
It would be nice to have more reacetracks for drivers cause unfortunatelly I can see many "drfters" on the streets of my city. Few years ago one young "boy" killed older women on the crossroad in the evening while "practicing" his drifting skills :/
That was unpleasant to watch from the window :C

1. I think that it is highly irresponsible and dangerous to drive in this way on regular streets. If someone wants to drives like that he should go to some track.
2. I like motorsports but not like street racing. I prefer the F1 and the WRC.
3. I think that first of all people should want to drive on professional tracks and then investors will build it for them. That's how capitalism works. ;)
I like watching skilled drifters sliding around the corners of the streets at night, is marvelous to watch.
When it comes to non"standart" motor sports like drifting is i have nothing against them as long as proper preparations safety wise are made beforehand.
There should be more racetracks, its a shame that most of those are in the west europe currently.

I have no problem with Motorsport that is taken place at special race tracks. That looks fast and exited and special fenced tracks is the reason why it isn't dangerous for regular people or drivers on the streets. Street racers and street drifters do not fall under this category of sport. I don't like them and I think that many of them has a big problems with good taste. Their cars with tuning looks like 10 years boy want to have something cool. Fast and Furious wasn't a bad film but was a huge influence on young people's mind. That's why even in 2019 we can meet dinosaurs that think that this sport is cool.

Thanks for your opinion! I also enjoy doing such things when there is some snow, my BMW also likes it I think :D

1. Drifting can be dangerous on public roads.
2. I like motorsports and drifting is my favorite part.
3. Of course! This will reduce the danger level on streets.
* What is your opinion about it?
Personally, I love drifting, especially winter drifting. So I am not criticising the main "actors”, because I also love and accept this kind of entertainment. But there is at least one rule: if there are other drivers near you and there is a chance to make an accident - don’t drift. Mostly I prefer a night drift when there is no traffic at the road.

* Do you like motorsports like this?
Yes, I do. I don’t have a proper rear-wheel drive for drifting and I’m not a proper drifter as well, but when I have a possibility to drift a little bit not disturbing anyone I will probably do it.

* Do you think that there should be more racetracks for drivers, where they could practice their skills without harming people?
Such places already exist. I tell you more, there are schools for drifting in Russia, where you could learn to drift properly without a possibility to harm someone at the road
I start saying I like motorsport and I enjoy drifting as well. It is dangerous, but a lot of other sports are dangerous too. And I think that as long as they won’t risk health other people, it is okey if they love to do this. Everyone has passion and hobby, and when drifters cannot drift is like they can’t do thing they love.
I think that more racetracks could help a bit. Special tracks would be nice and I think a lot of people would like to go there and test their skills or learn now tricks.

Week 12 (12.01-18.01.15) Are you an early bird or a night owl ?

Owls are nocturnal creatures. They’re wide awake at night and they sleep during the day. If this sounds like bliss to you, then, like about 20 percent of the population who find themselves most active at around 9 pm, you may fall into the same category as our feathered friend. Night owls often have difficulty waking up in the morning, and like to be up late at night.  Studies of animal behaviour indicate that being a night owl may actually be built into some people’s genes. This would explain why those late-to-bed, late-to-rise people find it so difficult to change their behaviour. The trouble for night owls is that they just have to be at places such as work and school far too early. This is when the alarm clock becomes the night owl’s most important survival tool. Experts say that one way for a night owl to beat their dependence on their alarm clocks is to sleep with the curtains open. The Theory is that if they do so, the morning sunlight will awaken them gently and natura...

Week 11 [03-09.06.2019] The problem with ecological cars emission in UK

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form. These can be particles of sea salt, clouds from the Sahara and artificial compounds made by people. These compounds...
