Week 10 [17.12-23.12.18] What you can do to fight climate change

Climate is changing, and humans are responsible for it. And this is the fact, but what can we do with it?
Below video presents what in professor Katharine Hayhoe opinion is the most important thing you can
do to fight climate change.

Do you aware of climate changes? or heard about it before?
Do you know how climate changes can impact your everyday life?

Are you doing anything to stop global warming? If yes, than what?

Comments

In my opinion, creating a worldwide organization for fighting Global Warming is only a mater of time. Sooner or later humanity will face it, and all governments will be obliged to contribute to it, get rid of harmful production sites and so on. Let's just hope that this will not cause a war, that we all know, will have no winners.

Just as a side note, your link is not working.
I’m fully aware of climate changes, it’s good that we finally started talking about it on such a large scale. However it’s not enough, we have to take some considerable actions if we want to solve this issue. Climate change doesn’t impact my life directly, but surely does indirectly and will impact more drastically in the future. Consider prices of energy, food, water they are all strongly corelated with the climate, the worse it gets the more money we have to spend. As a human mortal that has little influence on a climate I try to recycle waste, spare water and money, criticize companies that are harmful to ecosystem solely for economic benefit.
I am avare of climat changes, and i am constantly tempted to jsut say "meh the average temperature will increase in like 0.5 degrees celsium in my lifetime so why bother", but such neglections have lead us to environmental crisi that we have today. The most obvious way how it can impact my life is hat it will become hot, and i do not like when its how, but melting of ice sheets is a huge problem as well expecially for island and coastal countries. I do nothing to stop global warming because currently i cannot do anything in particular, but at least i do not cause or increase it, so... that's good too right?

I know about climate changes and to my mind not doing anything useful to help it somehow, but also I am trying to follow all simple rules from school such as saving the water and using public transport. I think climate changes will not really impact my everyday life, but if it will I would like to know how.

I agree that such organizations will be created sooner or later, however it could be too late. Because Global Warming causing melting of ice and this process free CO2 which were frozen in it and excluded... as result at some point Global Warming could become unstoppable and lowering harmful production wouldn't help then...

I believe that it not impacted your everyday life now, but it will in future if we do not change this Global Warming trend. For example, the temperature could be increased so much that here in Poland we will have a tropical region, and it will change completely life here.

Yes, I believe it's fine. But you may know that in Poland the majority of electricity produced in a very harmful way for the environment (from coal). Even though that Baltic region is one of the best for wind electricity production, fully reusable and clean energy source. So I believe that we can do much more...

I agree that as a single person you can't to a lot however everything is possible if our actions, as humans will be coordinated, and this is way now is important to talk about Global Warming and spread information through wider audience...
Yes, I have heard about the climate change before and also I’m aware.

Yes, I know that climate change can have a negative impact on my daily life.

Yes, I'm trying to save electricity, put out the engine at a standstill, but I think that we don't have much influence to stop global warming.

Yes, I am aware of global warming and I think everyone sees it with their own eyes. The best examples are winters that were once and today are not to be met. In the 90's there was a lot of snow and sometimes even schools were closed because of it. Today, the snow sometimes rushes a little bit. Climate change affects us even by destroying crops. More and more farmers have problems because of global warming. Unfortunately, although people see the damage caused by global warming, they still don’t care. I also can’t fight with it. If we don’t change it quickly, we will have a big problem in the future.

Week 11 [03-09.06.2019] The problem with ecological cars emission in UK

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form. These can be particles of sea salt, clouds from the Sahara and artificial compounds made by people. These compounds often come fr
