Week 10 [17.12-23.12.18] Travel fever

Travel fever

Why do people leave their homes and go to the other end of the planet? These days being a traveler makes you super popular and cool. People makes money by just traveling and showing all world the “better way of living”.

Expanding your outlook and learn something new

Exploring other cultures helps open your mind. You realize that there are other ways of living your life.
Meeting people from other countries and cities can show you that there is another view on things and
it's not the same as yours. Well, you can say that it is enough to find any tourist and just talk with him
about his home and culture. But it's not the same. You can't imagine how different life is in a different
place until you visit that place. Experiencing new, unfamiliar things and living with new knowledge and skills can teach you more than any book or story. Starting with history,
geography or sociology and ending with languages, cuisine, aspects of different cultures or even deep
dive in spiritual and  religious life.
It is quite possible that you will find something in yourself, understand what kind of person you are. Some people really think that
they can run away from their problems or responsibilities by traveling as far as it possible.

Having an adventure or challenging yourself

Conquering a new territory is exhilarating. Going off the bitten track, traveling with a backpack,
surviving in a difficult conditions. Without all modern amenities it could be challenging. No phone,
no cosy bed or even normal food and obviously no unlimited bank account. Quite exciting but not for
those who are too nerves about what could happen the other day. But for others it's like jumping with a parachute.
You will discover how resourceful you are when you are exposed to new places, people and
experiences. And if your trip ends successfully you can feel proud of yourself, it will bring you joy and energy for future life challenges, build your confidence. Also
life in difficult conditions can teach you to appreciate what you have.

Escaping

Loss of a loved one or relatives, bad breakups, a depressing job or everyday routing. Desire to get
away from it all, hiding your feelings somewhere far into the depth of the soul. Stepping away from
your problems can help you look at it from a different angel. So travelling has the power of healing not only escaping. You return home more at peace with yourself and your
problems.

1. Do you like travelling? Why? Why not?
2. Do you think that there is another better way of exploring the world without leaving your home town?
3. Would you consider travelling to another planet someday?

Comments

Yes, I do like traveling. And there is no other way to explore something new other than going to that place. No tv show or Google street view can replace that and we know it. In my opinion even the most sophsticated agumented reality will not be able to replace real life experience. Ever. And if I live to that moment, yes, I would definitley go to another planet. Athough I would prefer some planet that is really worth visiting, and not just plane rock floating in space.
Yes, I very like to travel but in most cases interesting places need a lot of money and that's the main reason why I not travel so much. I want to visit sometimes USA and maybe stay in this country but this is another story :)

There one way to travel without leaving even my home :) it's called google maps in satellite mode and google street view :) and even not need to by expensive tickets :)

I want to travel to the moon and maybe mars but with possibility to return back because I think that I will be miss by the earth :)

I do like travelling, it’s something that gives you the feeling of freedom. Everyone should travel to see the world from different perspective. I don’t think there is a better way to explore the world, it’s impossible to full gain experience without being in that place. Surely you can gain some knowledge about the place you’d like to visit from internet, but knowledge is nothing without experience that can only be gained by being there in 100%. Yes if I had time and resources I’d travel to other planet. I hope that new technologies will allow to make it’ll happen in my lifetime.
I love traveling. Visiting new places, meeting new people, experiencing and learning new things, all of it and much more let me in some way develop myself. I think there is no other, better way of exploring the world than direct contact with it and its environment. I would feel great having the possibility to travel to another planet. It would be the unprecedented opportunity to get to know even more interesting places that have never been accessible to people, but for now, our planet must be sufficient for those who are travelers.

Yes, I like travelling and I try to do it as frequently as possible. It gives me some kind of freedom feeling and also I can find out something new about world I’m living in. Maybe I can even say that I love travelling. Unfortunately, I have to admit that I don’t like to leave my country for more than 2 weeks because after this time, I feel uncomfortable and want to go back to my homeland.
I’m not pretty sure but nowadays we hear more and more about virtual travels so maybe this is (or will be in near future) good alternative allowing us to ‘travel’ without leaving our chair but to be honest… I think that nothing can replace real travel with lot of adventures.
Maybe I will travel to another planet but… who knows? 😉
I love traveling, but i like it a prepared way. Thus i do not understand people who visit towns via autostop with no money and no place to rest and for 1 day, it just seems stupid, instead of enjoing culture, nature, architecture you are consistently tired. I think that there is no and should not be a way to live your life, much travel, without leaving your home town. Modern era gives people opportunities to be whoever they want wherever the want, and not using this opportunity is stupid. Travelling to another planet sounds like extremely interesting experience, possibly lifechanging and i would consider it.

Yes, I do like traveling. It’s my passion.
Do you think that there is another better way of exploring the world without leaving your home town? I heard that Google street were not so bad 😄 Honestly, no augmented/virtual reality, Google street, etc is not able to replace all those feelings that you experience during the sightseeing in particular country. They are only able to give you a general idea what kind of place it is. Your impression is actually a combination of lots of factors, every single breath you take, every single move you make it all make an overall impression. Would I go to another planet? It’s really complicated question but it depends on the landmarks. If we are talking about an expedition to a real planet that rather no than yes. I don’t like exploring the ruins(except the Pompeii) where everything is literally dead. Maybe it’s because I am scared of such horror and lifeless places
1. Do you like travelling? Why? Why not?
Yes, I do like travelling in general. If I have a possibility to choose the destination and I can plan my trip on my own, it's great. I love to pretend that I'm not the tourist but a local man - I'm walking on the streets, drinking coffe, visiting local shops...
I hate visiting those places which are "mandatory" for tourist, because there extremally crowdy there, usually You have to wait in the queue and all "climate" is gone.

2. Do you think that there is another better way of exploring the world without leaving your home town?
No - You can watch some documentary series or read articles, but it will always be author's point of view, and his/her perception.

3. Would you consider travelling to another planet someday?
Yes, but I don't know if I will live long enough to have such possibility

I like traveling a lot. I love seeing new awesome places. I like filming so I capture everything I can. I think I could live a life with remote work changing my place of living every few months. I don't think there's any better way of traveling without leaving hometown. For me traveling is about changing location and leaving everything for a while. I don't think I'd like to fly to another planet. In my opinion, we won't live long enough to have dilemma whether we want to fly to i.e. Mars or not.
I do like travelling a lot. I try to spend as much time as I can to visit as many places as I can. It’s wonderful experience to travel, explore new places, meet new people. All this things make me feel ready happy.
There are a lot of methods to see every place around the world but, to be honest, it’s a way different feeling when you stand in front of outstanding monument, walk around beautiful park or do any other activity, then sitting in front of the screen and scroll down photos. I’m sure then almost everyone agree with me that when you experience something it will stay in your memory for long time and when you see the same thing on the computer or photos, it will make you smile and you will forget about it very quickly.
I love travelling, but I’m not sure if I would like to travel to another planet. I can guess that in the future it will become more viable and popular, then I will consider it for sure.
I do like travelling, i don't know a person who doesn't like travelling. I like to meet new people, get new experience and emotions, explore new places and make amazing photos. No way, i don't understand when people sit at home 24/7, it might be hilarious, but it is truth. Definitely yes, i would like to visit another planet someday. I can't even imagine who it will be, but i hope it will happen when i will be not too old.

I am totally agree that nothing can replace real life experience. And you think about choosing what kind of planet to travel...that's nice. I've just imaging that galaxy traffic between planets. So how you now that planet is worthy to travel?
Kristina Moroz said…
I am sure that one day your dream about traveling in USA will come true. There is no other way :) But not with Google maps or satellites help, even if tickets are too expensive.
Kristina Moroz said…
Well, this is very nice that you feel freedom when traveling :)
Kristina Moroz said…
I hope that flight to another planet will be as much fast as it possible. So you can spent more time for exploring new places out of this 2 weeks but not for transport.
Kristina Moroz said…
I have experience with visiting towns for one day with little backpack, staying on hotel (in good cases) , sleeping in the airport or spending half of the night on the beach because my bus was at 3 am. But also I was traveling for few days with good accommodation, everything planed. And my opinion that first one is much cheaper but it's not an option for chilling and actually I hardly can remember every difference and details. So despite the high cost it's better travel in second option, for me :)

I love traveling and would like my work to be based on trips. I like traveling alone or in company, I feel free and happy then.
Everyone has their own opinion on this subject which strictly depends on what we expect from departure, sightseeing, convenient, low prices or something else. It's difficult to say anything about it.
I don't know, it's still an abstract concept for me, for now I prefer to focus on discovering my planet.

Yes, I like travelling. It allows to see how people live in another country or even continent, taste national dishes, learn the culture of other nations, meet new interesting persons.
I know another way of exploring the world without leaving home town but it’s worse then common one. It’s watching video on YouTube or on something similar to YouTube. But watching video will not give those emotions that you get when visiting another country.
Yes, if travelling to another planet will be fast and there will be ways to back to Earth.

1. Do you like travelling? Why? Why not?
Yes, of course, I like trips to new places. I think traveling is a very good way of self-development and discovery of a new world for yourself.
2. Do you think that there is another better way of exploring the world without leaving your home town?
I think not, you need to go to the places that you want to explore yourself. This is the best practice, I think so.
3. Would you consider travelling to another planet someday?
I would not mind. If I have opportunities, I will definitely take advantage of it.
I like traveling, you wrote that you could explore other cultures. Maybe, while travelling you will find the place where you will want to stay for a while. On Earth a lot of beautiful places, that you won't believe in their existing. To my mind nothing can replace these feelings when you directly in some place. Would be amazing to travel to another planet, but I think that I will be to old when it will be possible and as a result, I will didn't have a chance to see it. Unfortunately, if you want travelling, you will need to get some money as a result you will don't have enough time for travelling because you will spend it at work.

I love to travel. I love to discover new cultures, places. Traveling is worth every penny, because you by memories and experiences. No one can take it away from your head.
The best way of exploring world without leveling home is google earth mouse and vr headset ;P.
Unfortunately I think it would be one way ticket so I wouldn’t go. If it would be possible to get back i would consider it.

Travelling is a great. We can find out and see new things or taste a delicious food.. For instance regional cuisines are brilliant. You could eat something special on in your live and believe me – it’s worth . I decisively love travelling, because I can see something different what I won’t see in Poland. I consider that exploring world without leaving own home town is nonsense. World is a big place and limit to one place is waste. I have to see so many places on Earth so travel to another to different planet is unnecessary.

1. Do you like travelling? Why? Why not?

I don't. I like activities that are connected to the goal of that travel but not the process itself.

2. Do you think that there is another better way of exploring the world without leaving your home town?

Books, books, books, films, series, just anything. Art, food, games. All you can have is part of the world or creation of its inhabitants. A book is an outcome of authors culture. And etc.

3. Would you consider travelling to another planet someday?

I would LOVE to. Even die on another planet. At least, not during the landing. ;)
1. Do you like travelling? Why? Why not?
Yes, I like to travel. Travelling makes me free and I really love the feeling of being stranger in the city or place. During my travels I often like to cut off myself from duties which I have and focus on my trip and enjoying it to the fullest.

2. Do you think that there is another better way of exploring the world without leaving your home town?
No, I think the best way to explore is to experience. It is impossible to really explore the world by staying in your pyjama in front of tv. By watching or reading about a world you can gain knowledge about it but you won' t gain experience.

3. Would you consider travelling to another planet someday?
It depends what would be on this planet. I think generally I would like to travel to another planet to see world from a different perspective.

Yes, I really like traveling and visit new places. Also I like meeting new people and other traditions and cultures.

No, I think that the best way to discover the world is to leave your city.

Yes, I would like to go to Mars in the future.

I love to travel, to visit some city or somewhere far in the mountains where I haven’t been yet, such moments really give me pleasure. But the road is sometimes annoying, when you have to get to this or that place in 20-30 hours, but if you walk 10 hours it is quite good)

1. Do you like travelling? Why? Why not?
I love it and I wish I had a job connected with that. I would like to try being 'digital nomad' some day.

2. Do you think that there is another better way of exploring the world without leaving your home town?
Nope. There is no better way of doing that. Maybe only World Of Warcraft

3. Would you consider travelling to another planet someday?
Yeah, whenever it is possible. I just need to pack my stuff and I'm ready

I am not a big fan of traveling. I don't know really why, because all of my friends love to travel. Maybe because I wasn't traveling a lot when I was younger.
I think that exploring the world involves leaving your home town, so there is no other option to do so.
Why not! But I am afraid that it's not gonna happen during our lifetimes. It is sad, that we are stuck on Earth and won't explore other planets, on the other hand it is still so much to see here.

Yes, I like traveling. I try a few times a year to leave somewhere, I would like to visit other exotic countries. My dream is also a trip to the USA

I think not. There are of course games that simulate trips in other countries, but the real experience will be when you explore these places yourself.

That's how I would like to go, recommend it to a planete where no one was. Discover unknown things
I want to tell honestly, I do not like to travel. but I have to do it. I am from Ukraine but I live in Poland. I sometimes go to other country to rest. not because I want it but because this place is better than home. I will not tell that to me not to be pleasant to travel, it does not bring me pleasure. Expectation to go long and to wait for arrival. It is terrible. If there is a way to teleport to the right place, such travel to me are pleasant. But I am afraid, at present, this method is not available to us. I very much am interested in a question of travel in space. I would like to depart on the neighboring planet to look at the earth from is far.

1. I like travelling because I like to meet new people and places and I think that it is in my nature. Sometimes I need to take a rest and travel somewhere where I have never been. I think that such travels clears my mind and I feel much better when I come back to my home town.
2. It is good to be conscious that we should also explore our own home town because when we live in the interesting city there are always places where we have never been and which are worth to check. But in fact I think that the best way to exploring world is simply traveling around. ;)
3. Maybe it will be possible during my life but I think that I won't be able to go because it will be too expensive.

Yes I like traveling. Basically I don’t like stay in one place like big hotel. If I want to see new country I like to go all around the place and see the most of this country. But when I want just chill because of hard work I prefer some hotel with all in collusive.
Maybe there is another way to see another country or place without leaving your home town, for example watch discovery channel videos or reed some staff about another country in book.
Yess I want to go to another planet, because this is next level of travelling. Just feel different gravity field, and different view/moons/suns.
I’m not much of a globetrotter, but I enjoy visiting some more faraway places, as long as they have something to offer that I haven’t seen yet. At the same time, I’m not a fan of travelling for the sake of travelling, and avoid vacations based on sitting in the same place for two weeks. Having worked with a VR set recently, I spared a moment to check out its capabilities, and can with a good degree of confidence say that “virtual trips” using VR goggles are definitely a possibility. Of course it won’t offer quite the same experience as “being there” would, but if you’re more interested in seeing what’s out there, it gives a good approximation. Given a chance, I’d love to visit different planets out there, though preferably not in a “no return ticket” fashion.
I don't like traveling. Why? I don't really know. Usually, when I go to some other city I feel rather lonely. I'm not good at finding new friends, especially in a place where I don't know anyone and just walking around the city and looking at buildings is boring for me. I know I can go to some new restaurant, eat an unfamiliar food might be an adventure for someone, but for me, it's just a waste of time.
Sometimes I like to see some new place, but that's rarely a city. I'd rather go explore some wilderness area. But I'm also not a kind of person to enjoy camping. So for me, all the travels should rather be comfortable and not very long.
What I wonder sometimes is why people put so much emphasis on travel. Meeting new people, finding new places, seeing other cultures. I don't really miss it. I tried it, it wasn't fun, I don't really want to try again.
I really like my home, my city, my friends - all the things familiar to me. If I want to see some other side of the world, I can do it from home - watching it on a TV screen is often enough. And visiting other planets? No way, not really interested. Good luck to you on your travels, I'd rather stay home.

- Yes, I love travelling, because I have many experiences and knowledge of different cultures.

- "National Geographic Channel", show us many different cultures around the world are exposed in detail, but I like to see the world with my own eyes.

1. Do you like travelling? Why? Why not?

I like a lot. Cause it's interesting to see world around you with all it imperfectness and natural beauty. Also it's good to see that people in other country are different and the same simultaneously. I think that people become more open and kind when they travel, because when you sit your homeland, then you start to think that foreigners are different and become more antisocial and less friendlier.

2. Do you think that there is another better way of exploring the world without leaving your home town?

I think there no other way than get out from your home and start to explore.

3. Would you consider travelling to another planet someday?

I hope so, but I think I will be glad to return, and in near future it seems impossible, because all planed missions are "one-way".

I love traveling, but I like to visit unusual places, that are usually very expensive to go to. Traveling giving good experience, good memories and new friends, which is always nice :)
To explore the world we should, well, explore. We should take the backpack and go to our adventures. There’s no other ways. Watching travelers instragrams or YouTube channels is not exploring.
I would like to travel to another planet, but only if I know that I will got back to my planet. Staying forever at another planet is definitely not for me.

Yes, of course! I love travelling and meeting new people and visit new places. You can get to know new culture, get a preview of local dishes. I hate traveling alone so that's why I always ask my friends or family to go with me even if I have to pay for tickets or house. I can deal with that. On the other hand, traveling has some disadvantages too. If you would like to choose a place in Africa you have to be careful about local diseases and area of country you are visiting (robbers etc).
No, I think that there isn't better way of exploring the world than 'normal' travelling. At the other hand, we have one good website for that - Google Maps. I don't have information about which countries were scanned but when you are watching Poland you can throw figure on street and drive as Google Car. It's very funny and interesting.
I would consider travelling to another planet only when I will visit every country on the earth!

I haven't traveled a lot in my life, but I do like to travel. It is nice to change scenery, do different stuff depending on a location and experience different culture, food etc. Exploring your home town won't be the same as traveling to different country, but if you live in a bigger city, like Warsaw, it is definitely worth doing. You will know better your own city, you will know interesting places and activities to do with your friends. I probably would like to travel to another planet, if it wouldn't be a one way ticket. I wouldn't like to abandon my family and friends forever.

I love to travel and get to know the stories and culture of other countries. I have already visited a lot of countries for such a young age and my dream is to visit every continent on earth for the rest of my life.
In my opinion, traveling without leaving your town can't be called traveling. The journey takes some time and preparation. It can also be spontaneous if only with a good attitude.
We live in such times that the colonization of Mars is only a matter of years. It will once be popular enough that flights to Mars will take place several times a year. I hope that I will be able to stand on a different planet one day.

Travelling is overrated. The biggest thing to do these days seems to be travelling everywhere all the time. Everyone is obsessed with clocking in visits to god knows where and then posting it all over the place online. I understand that social media is basically a personal portfolio of your life's greatest moments, but still.

There is a social pressure to say you like traveling. It is a lot like music. No one asks "do you like music?" They assume you do and ask instead "what kind of music do you like?" But it is obvious from how often or seldom they listen to music if they like it or not.
I think travel is the same. People feel the need to say they like if while a huge portion of the population, my bro included, don't. My friends who don't travel and are more... Strong willed... Defend their anti travel stance and I find it fascinating to be honest. Not everyone wants to step into the wild, and that's okay.

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form.
