Week 10 [16.12 - 22.12.2019] - Work culture experience

Work culture experience

Have you considered what work culture suits you most? Startups, corporates, freelance - every has its pros and cons.
I'd like to share with you my experience.
How To Create A Positive Work Culture In Your Organization?

Startups usually offer you availability to work remotely or to have elastic working hours. Although startup companies structure is much more simpler than corporate ones. You can easily make connections with people and gain experience. Usually there is not strict hierarchy. Furthermore one of the most good thing in startups is decision making duration. As such companies do not have a lot of employees you can directly discuss and make decisions very fast with anyone and anywhere. Unfortunately such companies cannot offer you benefits such as huge corporations do. But you might count on common things like integration parties or medical care packets. Great in such companies is that they usually prefer modern and elastic work methodologies connected with agile and scrum. You’ll have the opportunity to experiment and study something new. As for cons will you have to deal with problems on your own and the chance of company fail and that you'll get fired is bigger than in corporation.

On the other hand, from my experience working in a corporate company differs. First of all most corporate companies prefer other types of employment than startups do. This preference comes from a stability demand. For corporate matters your availability at strict hours, so if you prefer to work from 9am to 5pm, this choice is for you. The most difference is at decision making duration. At a startup company you can directly communicate and make decisions. At a corporate company every decision is a complicated process where a lot of people are involved. Corporation structure is hierarchical, so any request has to make its way through layers of people. But corporate companies propose more benefits, in my example I have 13th salary, medical care and insurance. Also there are gaming and nap rooms in the office. Not like a startup, corporation working methodology is often a waterfall where you long build a complicated huge product. Furthermore in corporation you won't have an allowance to experiment or study, you have to do what the business wants from you.

Working as a freelancer gives you freedom. You may do what you want, the only boss for you is yourself and the deadline. You won't get any benefits as a freelancer. You have to buy yourself, equipment to make work done and schedule your time properly. Freelance work is usually unstable. You may have the order, or you may not, so you have to manage your outcome carefully. Also for freelancer portfolio is very important, as you won't have clients if you cannot prove your skills.

As for me I prefer startups. They won't give me much benefits, but I will have more pleasure from the work itself rather than suffer at working hours for greater goods after.
Freelance is also great, but I lack motivation. What about you?

1. What work culture do you prefer?
2. What is your best and worst working experience?
3. What is a decision maker when you select new job?

1. It's hard to say which one I prefer. On the one hand, in a startup you're able to develop rapidly as you will be faster given more difficult tasks. On the other hand, sometimes startups are run by people who doesn't really know what they're doing. In some cases the organization of work and methodology is really poor. You won't suffer from this in a corporation as they really care about such things. To sum up, both of these cultures have their advantages, but I prefer corporate culture.

2. My best working experience was getting my first job. I didn't have any bad experiences yet.

3. Right now, the most important things for me are ability to learn new things and working on interesting things. Later, when I will be more experienced, I will also look for a good salary and other benefits, but before that I would like to concentrate on self-development.
1. What work culture do you prefer?
I don't care. In my life I have experienced both work cultures, certainly not 100%, but I've had contact with them. I'm currently working in a startup and I feel really good. The atmosphere is very pleasant and loose, I know every employee in the company and there are no barriers between departments. However, my first contact with the other side was my first job - a typical corporation, where I only knew my department, everyone did their job, there was little courtesy and interest in others. I will honestly say that both of these worlds suit me, both of them offer something different to me, but it doesn't discourage me enough to choose a winner from among them.

2. What is your best and worst working experience?
I have to admit that I really enjoy working at my current position in the startup. However, I can't say anything bad about the corporation either, so I haven't had any bad work experiences so far.

3. What is a decision maker when you select new job?
I think that the most important factors for me are: the opportunity to develop and performing interesting and ambitious tasks strictly related to my interests or field of study. The atmosphere at work and the location of the office are also important. Only further would I raise the topic of salary or bonuses, because at this point it's most important for me to gain experience and to build my portfolio.
1. I work currently in corporation, and I must say that I like it in spite of some disadvantages. That’s probably because I was lucky to join the best team, I can currently imagine which makes me very satisfied wit my job. I love how our processes and rules are well defined and everybody always know what to do. In contrast, my previous job was totally different, and lack of good organisation made everyone nervous. I definitely don’t want to work at a start-up, because I don’t like when the distance between me and my supervisor is too little. Also, I think it would be strange to ask for an annual leave, or salary rise someone, who is my boss in a ten people company.

2. I’ve partially answered this question already. To summarise – my current job is the best working experience, because of great people and organisation. My worst working experience was my previous job which was a total mess from management point of view.

3. The decision makers are technologies used in particular company, its size and self-development opportunities. I don’t care that much about money right now, but it is going to change later and that will also influence the decision.

1. What work culture do you prefer?
A flexible one, though a startup looks nice, but mostly I love to get things done and have some free time. It's motivating. If you finish your task faster and with better result than you have more time for you. It's better than sitting strict hours or sitting hours only to get more money as you are getting bored with lack of work at the moment.

2. What is your best and worst working experience?
I have a little work experience so it is hard to describe but the worse experience in my opinion is when you have to wait in job for some new tasks or decisions to be made to progress further. You cannot go to home mostly and you are just sitting there bored for the money flow and nothing more.

3. What is a decision maker when you select new job?
How far is it from my home, how much will I earn, what new things can I learn there.

I am working for company that allows me to have elastic work hours and even work remotely from my home. I prefer going to work as work enviroment helps me get focused on work and i'd rather have other guys around me for sake of better communication.

I think that my best work experience is happening right now as i am doing what i enjoy, i get satisfaction and nice salary from what i am doing and i don't feel exhausted when i leave workplace. While worst work experience were years i've spent in gastronomy. It is hard work that rarely gives you anything but fatigue on every level you can imagine. It is stressful, rarely grateful or ungrateful at all. I have a lot of sympathy for people working in gastronomy beacuse it is hard work that doesn't give you much back.

I'd rather earn less than be put in place where i don't belong. Therefore i seek for place that needs someone like me, with skills i got because i know that it will help me to progress and develop my skills even further. Obviously job can't be a dead end but in IT it isn't that easy to get stuck in this kind of a job.
1. What work culture do you prefer?
I like freedom the most. If I feel a whip over myself, monitor my work, check my computer, check the time - the time at which I appear at work or measure the time I'm at coffee, causes only my reluctance and thus a decrease in efficiency and motivation to work.

2. What is your best and worst working experience?
The worst is the mobbing I experienced working as the only woman among young men. They were very pushy. My best experience is to allow me to do my work in conditions that are convenient for me at the time I set.

3. What is a decision maker when you select new job?
As for me, definitely the location and the salary. People are also very important but we don't always have the influence or the opportunity to get to know the team with whom we will work.
Dawid Piotrak said…
I have to say that i really enjoy mu current work at a corporation ( Citi Europe ). I have a really great Team. I'm also able to work from home and have a flexible working hours if i need to make some changes. The description you gave is accurate - you do have a lot of benefit, 'chill rooms' etc. and you have to be aware that you are working in a bank so sometimes decision making does take time or you have separation of duties so you can't deal with everything yourself even though you know the solution but it's not overall so bad. I'd definitely recommend working in such environment.

While searching for a new job it'd be important for me to have the ability to work from home from time to time as it is really convenient. Another important things are the atmosphere within the Team, remuneration and opportunities for development.

1. What work culture do you prefer?
My current job is my first job and I have been working here for 3 years now. It is IT corporation, one of the biggest in the world. I have to say I love working here. I do very interesting stuff, have incredible inspirational team and we have really cool atmosphere here. I can work at home anytime I want and I have flexible hours. I think I couldn't find a better place. Even it is a corporation, I feel like I'm working in a startup.

2. What is your best and worst working experience?
As I mentioned earlier where I work now it is my frist job and for 3 years time I have never experienced any of bad situation. Of course there are some situations when atmosphere is nervous because of deadlines but everyone there knows that is the reality of working in corporation. You can get used to it.

3. What is a decision maker when you select new job?
Firstly I want to develop my skills, learn new things. Also working atmosphere, working from home and flexible hours are very important to me.
1. I am currently working in a company that is a hybrid of a startup and a corporation and to be honest I really like this combination. The atmosphere is very friendly and allows for the development of contacts between people. I come to work not because I have to, but want. I have many opportunities for development and learn new things which is a huge advantage.

2. My first job was a warehouseman position. The work itself was not tragic, my colleagues were very nice and there was a friendly atmosphere. The problem was the monotony and distance that separated me from the workplace. The journey lasted almost 2 hours, which means that I had as much as 4 hours wasted on the journey every day.

3. For me, the main factors affecting the choice of work are pay, location, colleagues and the atmosphere in the company. If the atmosphere is heavy and unpleasant I don't see any point in working in such an environment. Sooner or later work in such a place would become unbereable and unhealthy.
Kuba Berliński said…

1. I think that every work culture have good and bad sides. I prefer having a nice atmosphere at work, so I don't feel like it is a punishment when I have to go there.

2. My worst work experience was when I was working in phone center. Atmosphere was awful and you could almost feel a whip on your back. The whole working there was for me a worst working experience. About the best one, I think it was leaving that job - fortunately it was only to make some money on holidays.

3. I suppose money. Money is not the most important thing, the work atmosphere is. However, from being on a interview and having talk with hr people you can't know how working there feels like, unless you got some friend there.

I've never worked for a corporation but I think it wouldn't fit my expectations. I work at a startup company so nonsense red tape isn't the case. We work in small teams, each has a leader. That ensures great communication and you get quality feedback for your work. I'm very happy with my job and really like that startup culture.
It's difficult to say what's my best working experience. It feels good when project that you've been part of is turning into successful one.
I don't recall any bad experience it's just one of the good things about being programmer - if something is wrong in the company it's so easy to move to another one.
Things I consider when looking for a job: Technology stack, company size, growth opportunities, salary.

1. What work culture do you prefer?
It seems to me that it doesn't matter what work culture you choose the main thing is to like what you are doing.

2. What is your best and worst working experience?
For me, the worst experience was my first work experience when I worked in the service sector. When you work with many different clients, you never cease to be surprised at how inadequate and dumb some of them can be.

3. What is a decision maker when you select new job?
When I looking for work, one of the main factors is of course money, but also feedback about this company is very important. Also important is how big the company is and what their requirements are.
1. I like the feeling of stability, salary paid on time, development of my career according to the plan, which is why I prefer working in a corporation. I know that some processes take such a long time in such large companies, but it teaches patience and also how to formulate questions.

2. Probably the best feelings are completing the project ahead of time and getting praise from the supervisor. And the worst in my opinion is getting fired. Fortunately, I haven't experienced the worst one yet.

3. As I mentioned, the most important for me is a sense of stability, a good salary that is paid on time. In addition, I like to have a detailed development plan. Then I feel that my work makes sense.
Interesting presentation. Answering your questions:

1. I think that you must like the job first of all. You must like what you do.

2. I can't answer this question because I've never worked.

3. Certainly, the workplace, location, employment stability and pay are very important factors when choosing a job. Nice and pleasant team work is also very important.
1. I like the corporation culture. Of course, there are some cons like you described but overall, working experience is much more comfortable comparing to smaller companies or startups. I won’t even try seeing myself as a freelancer – I just can’t work at home, at all. Home is a safe and pleasant space – no work there.
2. I haven’t had that much working experience and I can’t say any of that was really unpleasant, maybe I can just mention that in one place there wasn’t enough for me to do and I could feel my supervisor was struggling with finding any tasks for me. That was a bit awkward.
3. When looking for a job it is difficult to understand if the employer has what you want, viz. a friendly atmosphere, interesting tasks and some out-of-office activities or bonuses. At first, you just search for a job where you get paid for what you do and compare their requirements with your qualifications.

1. What work culture do you prefer?
It's hard enough to say. It so happens that in my life I worked for a very small start-up and a very large corporation. Definitely both have their advantages. Now I work in a startup, and it's very convenient for me, because it's possible to work without leaving home, it's very convenient to combine this mode with studying. But in the long run, I would probably prefer the corporation, because of its stability.

2. What is your best and worst working experience?
Again, so far I've only got two jobs in my life. And I can call both of these works my best experience, because having both startup and corporates, I now have a great opportunity to actually compare what is best for me.

3. What is a decision maker when you select new job?
Until I graduate, definitely how convenient it is to combine work and study. Once I get my diploma, it's stable employment. I want to have at least some confidence in tomorrow. Unfortunately, neither the startup nor the freelance can give me that kind of confidence...
Bartosz Waś said…
1. I prefer work culture typical to a startup. A workplace where everyone know each other and communicate in a natural and casual way.

2. For now I had only good experiences in an environments similar to the one I described in point 1.

3 When I make a decision about a new job I consider the culture and size of the company, the technology that is used, salary, localization and possibilities for development.
Pawel Bluszcz said…
1. Personally, I would prefer to work for a medium-sized company with around 100 people. Thanks to this, almost everyone knows each other, makes new friends, it can be said that there is a more pleasant, hermetic atmosphere.
2. The best work experience was changing into a programmer from a mechatronics engineer. I thought finding a first job would take a year, and in fact everything happened in 2 weeks. However, the worst experience was working with an alcoholic in a team in a previous job. Total pathology.
3. The two most important factors - money and self-development, where I put money at first position. I suspect that everyone has similar preferences.
Piotr Bednarek said…
1. Salary, benefits and work-life balance are the most important for me. Moreover career growth and self-development matter too. In my opinion both big corporation and start-up offer the things that I pinpointed above, but they have different work culture. On one hand start-ups give you a lot of responsibility, so you can learn something new, even things that are outside your job description. On the other hand corporations let you to move up the ranks quickly.

2. Getting a job as a .net Developer was my best working experience. I'm working at this position one year and I still go to work with smiling face. I haven't had any bad exerpience yet.

3. As I mentioned in my first answer salary, benefits, work-life balance and career growth are the most important for me. Moreover, I always pay attention on a job description and I read opinion about this company.
Szymon Kluczek said…
1. I am currently working in a corporation, which I like very much, I have heard a lot of bad opinions about working in big corporations, but based on my experience I can’t agree with them. I really like my team, the work is pleasant, everyone knows exactly what to do, we also have good communication at work and after it, our work is directed to tasks that have certain standards, however, they can be done in many different ways depending on your preferences.

2. As I said before, I am very satisfied with my current job, when it comes to the worst experience I have had to work on construction sites in the summer, the work was very hard after returning home, I had no strength for other activities. I hope I will never have to work physically again.

3. The main factor for me when choosing a new job is the opportunity to develop my skills, I also pay attention to the earnings and atmosphere in the team because I think that in order to work effectively, work must be pleasant, and relationships with other employees should be as friendly as possible.

1. What work culture do you prefer?
I have similar problem with lack of motivation, but I know I would work the best as a freelancer, with variety of projects and elastic work-time hours, where I would be able to work when I feel productive and well-rested. Of course it has also disadvantages like independent accounting and much more responsibility. But still I would prefer to work as freelancer

2. What is your best and worst working experience?
The worst one is in huge corporation where even if your done with your responsibilities for today you have to stay au work for 8 hours. That is just stupid. The second problem is sometimes mismatched in the team what can evolves to uncomfortable atmosphere.
The best one is working in start-up with the best people I have ever met on some project for bank. That was the most creative and funny atmosphere with motivated and inteligent people, who taught me and gave me huge first experience on the labor market.

3. What is a decision maker when you select new job?
Right now the most important markers for me are development opportunities and salary. After that I look for comfortable atmosphere and nice location with good communication.
Mykyta Smirnov said…
Thank you for your comment. I would suggest you getting the moment when your self-development becomes routine so at that moment you should at something better for yourself.
Mykyta Smirnov said…
I'm glad you having great experience at your current job :)
Yeah technologies are also important, because you usually don't want to work with technologies you are not interested in.
1. I do prefer startups. There is a much better flexibility than in regular corporations. People are always helpful and try to teach me what they learned during their career.

2. I don't really have a bad experience. So far i had only one job and i love it. Everyone are nice to people, salary is good and i can work as a programmer.

3. When i was looking for job, the most important thing was to avoid big corporations, because i don't like a lot of formality and strict rules to obey
Mykyta Smirnov said…
So you have already worked about 3 years at one company, I had the same experience. I 'd worked at one company for about 3 years, and at the end of contract I've already gotten all experience I could. Do you have new experience even after 3 years at the same company?
Roman Dubovyi said…
1. I am on the beginning of my career and corporation culture currently suits me. I am not a dreamer and will not complain around about some illusionary “lack of freedom”. Even if I had freedom, what could I do with it in a small startup company? I think being guided by managers when you are not a pro is a good strategy of developing your skills, so more official culture is for me for now.

2. I cannot say I have experienced something bad to share yet.

3. Right now for me it’s the more valuable experience in CV - the better. So basically I aim for big corporations that will be easily recognized by my future employers.
Bartosz Warda said…
1. What work culture do you prefer?

I have no experience in such work. I worked in a small company and as much as I can say, there was a very family atmosphere. I met many wonderful people with whom I still maintain contact.

2. What is your best and worst working experience?

I had a positive experience. What I liked the most was that the head of the company trusted me a lot and allowed me to act on my own. If I was leaving, I would get a company car and other bonuses. I just didn't like the fact that I had to stay at work overtime.

3. What is a decision maker when you select new job?

I think financial matters are most important to me. What is more, the possibility of development and the atmosphere in the company also are crucial. I would not like to work in some huge corporation.
1. I definitely choose the corporate work style over any other. I do not like to take an initiative and working in a corporation all responsibility is on people higher than me.

2. So far, I had only good experiences at work.

3. First of all money. Secondly, money. Lastly, money.
Mykyta Smirnov said…
Yes, stability is very important, but will you find best choice if you don't try others?

1. What work culture do you prefer?
I would like to work for a company that allows me to have elastic working hours and even work remotely from home. I think the working environment helps me focus on work and I want other people around me to have this kind of work for better communication.
2. What is your best and worst working experience?
I guess the best experiences while in Turkey. I was in high school at the time and I was also making a website or something. Flash websites were popular and everyone wanted it. Because I knew very few people around me, I was making money from those jobs and I was kept on hand. The bad one in Poland when my session card does not come out for quite a while I was unemployed for a while due to financial difficulties I had to work in bad jobs. I don't want to tell my experience at all, but it was really bad for me.
3. What is a decision maker when you select new job?
I want to be flexible (like working remotely or flexible working hours) and be sure to improve myself there.
PIOTR PAWLAK said…
Yes I have, mostly working with clients give me new experineces and sometimes these are not positive but when we talk only about workplace and my mates from my team I have not new experiences so far.
1. I prefer working in SCRUM teams. I believe that this methodology helps to organize work and facilitate the division of duties.
2. I don't have bad experience at the moment. I found a very harmonious team at work.
3. I think that the organization of work, the technology used for sure. The location of the office is also important for me.

1. What work culture do you prefer?

My perfect work culture appreciate its worker and takes care of him, makes him sure that he's important. In my opinion worker is your biggest asset and if you don't care as a employer you can easily lose him in modern dynamic world.

2. What is your best and worst working experience?

My worst working experience is when I've come to company for 3 months practice. Until the end of first, I've done everything they prepared for me, and for next 2 months I had nothing to do..

The best one is when my boss came to me and I was approved in front of the others. It was great feeling.

3. What is a decision maker when you select new job?
There are few key factors which I take into consideration during selecting new job. First is perspective, potential to improve, distance to work and of course salary. I believe these things are the most important for me and whenever I need to change a job I take that one which is suitable for me.
Ivan Mazuryk said…
1. What work culture do you prefer?
Basically, we spent a lot of time at work, and for many work is the second home. And unfortunately, I believe, there is no ideal work culture, you should always adapt and compromise. It's hard to say which one I would prefer as it's very individually to the company and you, some startups can have a better culture than corporations and vice versa.

2. What is your best and worst working experience?
Like most here, I do not have a lot of experience in different companies, but now I pay more attention to the benefits system, team atmosphere, transparency, diversity, clarity in our mission and values we delivery.

3. What is a decision maker when you select new job?
For the majority of people, the main factor is salary, and I can understand them, but, I believe, that the opportunity for rapid growth and your potential value to the company more successful and long-term perspective.

1. What work culture do you prefer?
I do prefer work from anywhere in the world, working in an office or home it won't be enough sometimes, life is short enough to get realised to i would prefer work from anywhere while having fun and make money.

2. What is your best and worst working experience?
I had once had the type of internship where the only way your work ever gets noticed is when something goes wrong for any reason and your boss is looking for someone to yell at. After a few weeks I figured out that the less I did, the less anything could go wrong and the less I had to report to my boss. Lesson learned.

3. What is a decision maker when you select new job?
Money. friendly athmostpher, good director. (I couldn't find any that I have ordered so right now I am my own boss in my company tho.)
1. What work culture do you prefer?

I used to work for corporate and I can say, that I liked it. Of course, there are some cons, but the overall experience is ok. I like, how the job is organized, some strict rules and the culture incorporates. I haven't worked for startup companies, yes, so maybe I will change my mind later.

2. What is your best and worst working experience?

The worst experience was when I was working for a small company. There were a lot of strange and stupid rules, which were like in a corporation, but without any benefit. The decision making part also was weak there. My best working experience is for a corporation, it is a sometimes funny and calmy job.

3. What is a decision-maker when you select a new job?

It depends on a lot of different factors. For me it is salary, is a very important part, also project on which I will probably work, a technology used on a project. Also, I am interested in the location and people. As well as, free hours, holidays and flexible timetable.

1. I prefer the startup culture. Currently, I work in a company that hires over 3 hundred people, but there is still kind of startup culture and I appreciate that.
2. I think that the good ones come when the project is reasonably estimated and I can focus on work instead of rushing and looking at deadlines.
3. I think the most important is the possibility of further growth and development. The salary is important as well, but not essential, as when the company gives you opportunities to develop, you can become a better specialist and, therefore, earn more money.
1. What work culture do you prefer?
I prefer team organized culture as workers do not work independetly but all of them have a feeling of being connected and having a big impact on projects and company mark.
2. What is your best and worst working experience?
My worst experience was opening the gate of surf camp in Jastarnia beeing paid 3.5 pln per hour and doing that for 6 to 8 hours. But my best was working for big corporation and learning so many new interesting things and meeting great people from around the world.
3. What is a decision maker when you select new job?
If the job I will be doing makes me better version of myself after some time and is it well paid so i can make my dreams come true after work

1. What work culture do you prefer?

I really enjoy flat culture where you can freely talk to anyone you want. This helps with creating new contacts and friends much easier.

2. What is your best and worst working experience?

I really enjoy my current company. I really like people there, the benefits proposed and it also helps me with self-development. My previous place of work was something completely opposite. I can’t say that I didn’t like working there because I really like people that I met there and I also learned there a lot but apart from these two factors, the place was a nightmare – the employer did everything he could to #@%! In the butt.

3. What is a decision maker when you select new job?

I guess that mix of projects that employer propose you to work on, people you may work with, perks & benefits, location of the office and also salary as in the end it’s just business and if you can negotiate the best money you can get, you will go for it so that you feel satisfied.
1. In my opinion, in this case it is hard to talk about personal preferences as there are various projects, and I believe these are projects which determine the type of work culture to work with. Some of them require work just by one person, others need more group work and deadlines like the startups, and other type of projects need hierarchy of corporate company.
2. All of my working experiences were good as they all taught me a lesson. I have by now worked in different work cultures, and what I liked most in all of them was the atmosphere of work and the feeling of accomplishment.
3. Right now I only choose job that is interesting to me. I do not work for a lot of money, as I spend so much time at work I need it to be interesting. I need to grow personally and professionally. This is my most powerful motivator.

Usually I prefer to work in corporations because there you can usually earn the best money. This is my current experience and this was also my reason for choosing a job.

Well, it's hard to say which one I prefer. As you said every of them have their pros and cons. But for know I would rather work either in startup company or in corporation. I don't have enough experience to gain freelance market. And obviously I would be happy to have flexible work hours and possibilities of few days remote in a week. I look for a perspective, nice and valuable projects, good salary and good team.
1. What work culture do you prefer?
I prefer startup work culture. I like that I have elastic working hours, friendly atmosphere without such strong hierarchy. Also it's important to me to have an influence on project, its architecture and which technologies to use.

2. What is your best and worst working experience?
Fortunately, I don't have bad work experience. In all jobs that I worked on I had all of what is described above.
3. What is a decision maker when you select new job?
For me the most important aspect is the project I would work on. I don't want to waste time working on job that isn't interesting and doesn't make me happy.

The company I’m working at have pretty unique work culture - it is very interesting combination of startup and corporate cultures. We have all the benefits from both :) Flexible work hours, agile methodology, but also medical care and other benefits, easy system of raise requests and self-development programs.
I’ve actually worked in two places, and both were great in its own way. But I also have some freelance experience and I didn’t like it, I don’t have much motivation even when I’m just working remotely, so freelance doesn’t work for me at all.
A lot of things. Money, obviously. But also possibility of self-development, fun colleagues. I also like to have flat structure on the workplace, so you’re not afraid to talk to your boss and can have good friendly relationships with your subordinates.
1. I think it depends on which moment of my career I am currently at. Right now I am working my first job in a big company and I think it is a good place for beginners. There are a lot of people to learn from and there is a possibility in developing in many different areas. Later, as I gain more experience and become better at what I do, being a freelancer seems more attractive because it will give me much more freedom.
2. It is hard for me to answer this question because I haven't worked in many companies. Maybe in future I will be able to answer such question.
3. I would salary. After all this is the main reason I go to work so it has to be satisfying for me.

Week 11 [03-09.06.2019] The problem with ecological cars emission in UK

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form. These can be particles of sea salt, clouds from the Sahara and artificial compounds made by people. These compounds often come fr

Week 12 (12.01-18.01.15) Are you an early bird or a night owl ?

Owls are nocturnal creatures. They’re wide awake at night and they sleep during the day. If this sounds like bliss to you, then, like about 20 percent of the population who find themselves most active at around 9 pm, you may fall into the same category as our feathered friend. Night owls often have difficulty waking up in the morning, and like to be up late at night.  Studies of animal behaviour indicate that being a night owl may actually be built into some people’s genes. This would explain why those late-to-bed, late-to-rise people find it so difficult to change their behaviour. The trouble for night owls is that they just have to be at places such as work and school far too early. This is when the alarm clock becomes the night owl’s most important survival tool. Experts say that one way for a night owl to beat their dependence on their alarm clocks is to sleep with the curtains open. The Theory is that if they do so, the morning sunlight will awaken them gently and naturally.
