Week 10 [16.12 - 22.12.2019] - Shopaholism – a real nuisance.

It’s very common to combine addiction with abuse of harmful substances such as alcohol, drugs or cigarettes. Due to this it may seem that addiction always has to have bad infuence on our health, but actually it’s not true. In fact doing the shopping can become an addiction too and very often little do people realize that.
This video will introduce you to the subject more specifically:

 Questions:
1.   Do you buy on impulse? How often do things you’ve bought prove to be entirely unnecessery?
2.   Can you resist the temptation of having something new? Like for example new blouse, T-shirt, some cosmetics or any other stuff
3.   Do you know any tricks, which help to cope with and combat spending too much money on shopping?

Comments

1. No, I don’t. I plan all my expenses in advance. Sometimes the process of choosing the right thing to buy is so long that it becomes ridiculous 😊 If something is unnecessary, I can’t imagine buying it and losing money for nothing. I worst cases I just return bought thing to the shop. Moreover, I almost never buy expensive things in stationary shops. It is pointless not to have the possibility to compare prices, or to return something within fourteen days which is always possible if we buy online. In case of everyday shopping, for example groceries, I always know what I want to buy before I enter the shop. Enter, buy, leave – no looking around to find an opportunity to waste money.

2. Yes, I can. I don’t mind using the same clothes for years, if their quality is good and they still look properly. Having something new for example the newest smartphone is indeed a lot of fun, but in most cases, it doesn’t justify spending so much money which could be useful later. All depends on someone’s earnings and individual definition of “cheap” and “expensive”.

3. I think that it is good to define for example a monthly cap. In other words – to create remorse if that amount is exceeded. Thinking about long term plans could also be useful, for example about buying own house.

I'm strange because I go to the store very rarely when I really need to buy something. Usually, I buy what I need and sometimes something else. I almost always need what I buy: D
Only once I bought a bluetooth headset and did not use it :(

I don't have to buy anything new. I can enjoy what I have and I feel good about it.

A good trick to reduce expenses is to pay in cash, not a card. Then spending money hurts more.

I definitly do not like topic of shoppings.

1. I try to buy things only which I need. I try not to buy on impulse.

2. As I answered in question two, I buy things only when I need them. I don't have such temptations that I have to buyt that thing but it's completly unnecessary for me.

3. Well, try to pay in cash. When you have your money in hands, it's harder to spend it. For me it's much easier to pay by card instead of cash because I don't see my balance in this time.

I don't think i buy on impulse, or at least not very often. Usually i have in my mind what i am going to buy or i make decision how much i want to spend in advance. Sometimes after deciding how much i want to spend i actually just go with the flow, but i don't spend more than i want. I can't think about anything that was useless. Even most ridiculous things i've bought were bought with purpose - eg. entertaining me or my friends like sticky googly eyes.
I can resist and i don't have urge to buy new things. I enjoy buying new things and sometimes i go to buy something new just to improve my mood but like i said - it is bought consciously and with purpose.
I've never thought about it but i guess setting your limits in advance are good idea.
1. Do you buy on impulse? How often do things you’ve bought prove to be entirely unnecessery?
No, I never buy impulsively. Each of my purchases is very carefully thought out and most often planned long ago. I only buy things I really need, I don't buy anything for future use, or when there is a possibility that I will need something or not.

2. Can you resist the temptation of having something new? Like for example new blouse, T-shirt, some cosmetics or any other stuff?
Well, sometimes it's a problem, despite the fact that I'm usually calm and try to avoid this kind of situation, but sometimes I just have to get something because I like it very much or when I know it's a limited opportunity and it will never happen again. This situation often happens to me, for example, in League of Legends, when new skins come out for my favorite champions - I may not play them too often or at all at a given moment, but I will buy additional looks anyway, because I like them.

3. Do you know any tricks, which help to cope with and combat spending too much money on shopping?
The examination of conscience is surely useful. You really need to think carefully about whether you really need new clothes or anything. Other than that, I have no idea. Personally, I have no problems with spending too much money, I'm reasonable, so I don't know any tricks to not spend it.
I don’t buy on impulse. I only buy when I need something. I can’t remember the moment when I bought some things that are entirely unnecessary. I believe that I can control and resist to desire to buy something new and unnecessary. Nope, I don’t any advice. Nonetheless in my opinion it’s ask for a help, get wheel of your live to somebody else, who you trust. So he can control and keep you away from possibility spend any extra penny. So you can overcome this disease and get back to you normal state)

1. Do you buy on impulse? How often do things you’ve bought prove to be entirely unnecessery?

I usually do not buy something that is later not used by me. I used to do it when I was younger but I've learned my lesson and now I consider and do research before buying something that is more expensive.

2. Can you resist the temptation of having something new? Like for example new blouse, T-shirt, some cosmetics or any other stuff

Yes, unless I desperately need something for some occasion.
Usually whenever i find something I'd like to buy I truck it's price online and buy whenever there is a promotion or a discount in the shop.

3. Do you know any tricks, which help to cope with and combat spending too much money on shopping?

I think it's good idea to track how much you are spending and have a limit for your spendings. You could even apply some notification from bank whenever you are close to your set limit.
1. Do you buy on impulse? How often do things you've bought prove to be entirely unnecessery?
Every person sometimes buys something on impulse. Rather, most of the things I buy I need. Often, before I buy something I wonder a few days. In addition, you can easily return your purchased goods today. I guess most often on impulse I buy sweets, which I eat right away, so I can't even return them.

2. Can you resist the temptation of having something new? Like for example a new blouse, T-shirt, some cosmetics or any other stuff
Yes of course. I only buy when I really need it: D. I prefer to save money on a nice holiday or weekend trip than to buy another blouse.

3. Do you know any tricks, which help to cope with and combat spending too much money on shopping?
My way of spending money is to have two bank accounts. I get paid for one thing and spend it on a daily basis. The second is only to save. I don't even have a card for it. Immediately after withdrawal, I transfer money to the second account, of course, I leave myself the "life" part. Just when I run out of money it does not seem :).
Szymon Kluczek said…
I'm grateful for your comment Patrycja!
In my opinion it's great solution to have to different bank accounts, I think I'll open savings account anytime soon.
If you have clear purposes in your life it's easier to save money, instead of spending it on unnecessary things.
Szymon Kluczek said…
Marcin your opinion is sensible and practical. Good organization as well as planning your shopping, let you control amounts of money you spend and minimalise your expenses, so that in the future you can invest saved money in something necessary.
Thank you for sharing it with me!
Szymon Kluczek said…
That's right, paying in cash "hurts" much more than paying by a credit card, your wallet is getting thinner with every coin you spend.
Thank you for the comment!
Szymon Kluczek said…
I agree with your opinion, but on the other hand it's not a crime to treat yourself and buy something new even if you don't need it.
Anyway thank you for your comment:)
1. No i'm obsessed with saving money so doing things like impulsive shopping or something like that lies in total concradiction to my lifestyle. So assuming from the previous sentence these situations when i'm buying something that proves to be unnecessairy happens extremely rarely.
2. Yes I can, it's nothing hard. It's like NOT doing something and NOT doing something is an "activity" which most people looove doing.
3. At the beginning of the month prepare a spreadsheet where You write down all of Your expences for a month, than check how much do You have left and save it instead of spending it on useless things. After You trasfer intended amount of money to Your sub-account in the bank then You are good to go and if You can't resist a "temptation" than ask Your sister or parents to keep Your money from You on their own sub-accounts.
Szymon Kluczek said…
Well, that's right asking someone else for keeping your money on their account can be a solution, at last you can't spend the money you don't physically have, but what in case of emergency when you'll immediately need that "saved" money?
Thanks for your comment!
Szymon Kluczek said…
Thanks for sharing your opinion. I couldn't agree more, comparing prices of items online and searching for a special offer is a great way to save more money.
Szymon Kluczek said…
Jakub, there is nothing wrong in getting tempted from time to time and buying a new thing you enjoy a lot. We should watch our expenses, but making ourselves happy for example by buying something new is not a crime:)
Thank you for your comment!
Szymon Kluczek said…
Maciej thank you for your comment!
I think I share your view, balance in everything, also in budgeting is a key factor to be happy and satisfied with your life. You can do almost everything, if you remember to do it in moderation:)
Szymon Kluczek said…
I can see your point:) Your approach to budgeting and spending money is very practical, but I don't think that asking someone else to control your spending is a good idea. You should learn to control yourself and combat your shopaholism, otherwise It's very likely you'll fall into a shopping trap again.
Anyway thanks for your comment!

I very rarely buy things on impulse on a daily basis. Unfortunately, during difficult periods of my life, I get comforted by buying new things and then I buy a lot of things that turn out to be moderately useful.

I don't need to buy new things and I can do without them. I don't need brand-name, expensive or new things, my purchases are thoughtful and based on my needs.

Unfortunately, I don't know any tricks that allow you to spend less money, because I've never had a problem with it. I've always been a frugal person. In my opinion, if I want to save money, it's worthwhile to set goals for ourselves, because then it's easier for us to keep up with the decision. I hear it's also a good way to transfer to a savings account.

1. I usually do not buy unnecessary things and definitely when they are expensive. I can rather hold myself, while shopping.

2. I rather can hold myself in that cases. However buying some new and nice clothes is not a waste of money to me unless you've got too many.

3. Sure. Just check you account balance. It works everytime for me.

1. I don’t think I have the tendency to buy things on impulse. My father has always taught my siblings and me to spend money only on the things that we need or highly desire, but never without thinking about it first. Of course, some of the stuff I buy turn out to be unnecessary or I don’t use them as often as I thought I would, but sometimes life changes so fast it’s hard to predict what will we need the next day.

2. Yes, I think I can. I don’t like to spend money when I don’t need or have to. I prefer to save it for later and thanks to that buy something that has better quality or can turn out completely unnecessary to buy in the first place

3. I think a good way is to simply make a list and buying only the stuff included on it. Or maybe shopping online, to see how much money would we precisely spend if we wanted to buy everything that was added to the cart by us?

1. Do you buy on impulse? How often do things you’ve bought prove to be entirely unnecessery?

I'm not the person that falls into a shopping spree. I only buy when I need something. I don't usually like shopping and I would rather go shopping on the Internet.

2. Can you resist the temptation of having something new? Like for example new blouse, T-shirt, some cosmetics or any other stuff

I am some kind of a "promotion hunter" but to the reasonable level. For instance I have friends who are ready to travel many kilometers to get their unique opportunity for the product that they need, which is much cheaper there.

3. Do you know any tricks, which help to cope with and combat spending too much money on shopping?

Always go shopping with the list and stick to it consistently. Even if you find products at attractive prices in the store, but they are not on your list - do not buy them.
1. Do you buy on impulse? How often do things you’ve bought prove to be entirely unnecessary?
No, I don’t buy on impulse, I am indecisive person, so I usually ponder few days before I buy something and about second part of the question… well very rarely.
2. Can you resist the temptation of having something new? Like for example new blouse, T-shirt, some cosmetics or any other stuff
Yes, I can! I usually don't have this kind of temptation.
3. Do you know any tricks, which help to cope with and combat spending too much money on shopping?
I don't know any such tricks. Maybe you need someone who will control your money or invest them in something. If you don’t have any money you won’t spend it.

1. Do you buy on impulses? How often do things often buy proven to be completely unnecessary?
I am often fascinated by store shelves, but I cannot say that I am able to buy an item impulsively (well, maybe something as a gift). Usually, before buying, I weigh all the pros and cons of this purchase. But as all rules have exception, so I also can buy some trash from time to time. But this happens very rarely, so I'm not too concerned about it.

2. Can you resist the temptation of having something new? Like for example new blouse, T-shirt, some cosmetics or any other stuff
sometimes yes, sometimes no. It all depends on the object you want. I usually walk with the thought of buying something for a few days and if that thought doesn't go away - I buy it and if I forget, so ...

3. Do you know any tricks that help you cope with spending too much money on shopping?
Put a limit on your bank card. Or as I wrote above, just stay for a few days thinking about the need for this purchase. And in the end, it seems to me that there are doctors who treat shopaholism.
1. No, I never buy on impulse. I always buy rationally - when something is needed or it is very overpriced and I will have a chance to sell something at a higher price than I bought.

2. Of course I can resist the urge to have something new. I don't buy unnecessary things.

3. I don't know the tricks that help me deal with and spend too much money on shopping. I think that thinking well and analyze certain things is a good solution for that.
1. On extremely rare occasions, but it is the case of seeing something you’ve wanted for a long time but were hesitating and now this thing is on sale. I never buy something I won’t use in future.
2. Speaking of buying something for the sake of buying, I don’t have such temptation. In case of clothes, I just wear mine until they turn to ashes. That’s when I understand it’s time for shopping.
3. Of course – get a hobby or just anything that gets your attention and can give you some emotions. But I can’t be the one to advise anything on that topic – I have never liked shopping to begin with.

1. Do you buy on impulse? How often do things you’ve bought prove to be entirely unnecessery?
No, I never buy things spontaneously, at least those that cost more than 20 bucks. If I buy a phone or laptop, I always carefully choose and compare with others and also read a lot of reviews. And these things always serve me for a long time.

2. Can you resist the temptation of having something new? Like for example new blouse, T-shirt, some cosmetics or any other stuff
Easy, I prefer quality to quantity, if I buy a thing, I buy a good and use it until it gets worn out but not until I see a new one better. I don’t like "show off" and "flash", when I buy a phone, I use it for several years until it breaks and I absolutely do not care how many cameras it has and what logo it has and even more so what phones do other people have.

3. Do you know any tricks, which help to cope with and combat spending too much money on shopping?
Yes I do, be a normal and do not show off.
1. Do you buy on impulse? How often do things you’ve bought prove to be entirely unnecessary?
No I don’t. I always plan what I need to buy and how much I want to spend. I think it’s better to do so, so I don’t end up with something unnecessary or too expensive. However it’s hard sometimes not to be tempted by a new product that I’ve never seen before or haven’t thought about buying.

2. Can you resist the temptation of having something new? Like for example new blouse, T-shirt, some cosmetics or any other stuff.
I think I can resist the temptation of buying something new. I only go shopping when I really need something, for example when I run out of a product, so I don’t spend too much money. It’s also better for the environment when we don’t consume and produce more than we actually need.

3. Do you know any tricks, which help to cope with and combat spending too much money on shopping?
A good strategy is to have a clear list of what to buy and give yourself a budget. People tend to spend more money and make an impulse buy when they’re happy or had some kind of a success. So it’s good to go shopping when we’re not in the best mood. Maybe also take someone with you who is very responsible and will control your actions.

1. To be honest I always think twice before I bought something new. Even if I go to the grocery I make shopping list. Thank to that I don't shell out money for unnecessary things but also I always but things that I actually need.

2. When it comes to clothes I have no problem to resist the tempation, because I don't pay attention on clothes. In my opinion they should be comfortable and neat. I could say that sometimes I have problem to resist the tempation of having new mobile phone, laptop or motor. I'm intresting in technology and motorization so it may be the reason why I want to buy something new again and again.

3. Making shopping list is the best solutions to save money. Moreover before I buy something I check the price on the Internet, sometimes I manage to buy something cheaper.
1. If I buy something impulsively it is usually cheap. When it comes to a larger expense, I always try to think it over and do some market research.

2. In most situations I am rather able to deal with it. It is known that there are exceptions to the rule, but I do not usually succumb to temptation.

3. I believe that everything depends on the person. Some people are just predisposed to spend money senselessly. Maybe it would be a good idea for people who can't control themselves to set a monthly spend limit.

1. However, I try to think very much over the purchase and I don't think I buy things I don't need.
2. Yes, I don't have a problem with it and I only buy what I need.
3. I set a goal and strive for it without spending the necessary things on it.
Szymon Kluczek said…
Well, setting a limit of money you can spend per month really seems to be a good solution for people who can't control their monthly expenses. Thank you for giving that idea!
Szymon Kluczek said…
Bartek your approach is very up to date. Maybe if someone, who is not able to resist the temptation of having somethig new, think about the environment, then he or she will come to conclusion that shopping is not only about his/her own well-being but it also affects the environment at the same time, and as we all know using/buying more than we actually need is non-eco-friendly, so in effect he/she will stop buying too much.
Szymon Kluczek said…
You're absolutely right. If we want to save money, we can't get tempted and buy things we don't actually need, just because they are on sale.

I think it's a big adventage if you don't care about other people opinion. We should impress others with our personalities and no with new, expensive clothes or electronic devices.
Thank you for your comment!
1. I try my best to carefully plan my expenses but of course it happens sometimes i buy things that are impractical. However even when I know I could manage without something just fine, I don't treat every purchase as first need only. There are things that I treat personally like important even when they stay in one place in my house and I just look at them sometimes. I would say that if something makes you proud or happy or just pops up smile on your face sometimes it's worth buying and having. It's not always about consumption, usage or practical benefits. Sometimes you just want something that makes you happy and that is just fine. The most important is to find the golden mean and don't be too greedy.

2. I don't have this kind of temptations very often. Mostly because I truly hate shopping. I hate walking for hours in shopping centers full of people, annoying music and all the ambient noises in there. Regarding for example clothes or electronic equipment i buy it only when i need it.

3. I can't really think of anything except for avoiding shops and shopping centers. Or just withdraw only the amount of money from the account you can spend and carry only it with you to avoid temptation.
You can also accumulate money you need for certain monthly expenses (like rent, bills) so you would know how many you can actually spend on randome stuff.
1. Rarely. When I buy something I tend to research which product is best and what are the other's opinions about it.

2. Well, clothes are not an issue for me. I have quite a lot of clothes but they are mostly my mother's old clothes that I found adorable and unique. When I have to buy some more clothes it is a pain for me to go to the mall, however, I'm usually happy with what I bring back home. What is tempting for me are gadgets. I would love this new computer mouse that I saw in the magazine, but I won't get it before mine breaks. I think I'm a responsible shopper.

3. As I mentioned before, it is not a big issue for me, but I guess it is best to have some larger goal, such as a trip to a tropical island. Just have this in mind and you will prioritise when shopping.
1. I don't buy impulsively. I plan everything I need to buy, so I don't buy unnecessary things. I don't like to spend money, and I will never spend money on something unnecessary. Also, sometimes I compare prices and try to buy something where it is cheaper.

2. Of course, sometimes I want something new. But often, I just look at the price tag and walk out of the store. I like to buy things that will last me a long time, so I rarely need to buy something new.

3. I know it's better to use real money than a credit card for shopping. Because paying with a credit card, you don't realize how much you've already spent. But if you pay with a credit card, it is better to have a daily limit then you won't be able to spend more. Or is it better to ask yourself "Do I need this?" And if you have doubts, it is better not to buy it. My grandmother says, "Don't buy something you can do without."
Roman Batyuk said…
1. No, if I want to buy something I buy things just in case I really need them. I am not impulsive at all, moreover, I do not like walking in the shops for a long time even when I am buying products.

2. Yes, it is not a problem for me at all.

3. Yes, just not visit places like shopping malls and concentrate on the things you really need.
1. Although I try to make rational purchases for the most part, I have not once bought something that I didn't need at all, but at that moment I thought differently.

2. I think there is nothing wrong with buying new things, shirt blouses or other accessories. That is why we live and work to buy something new from time to time. The most important thing is to be able to be moderate.

3. I think that a good way would be to set yourself a monthly limit of money that we spend on pleasure, or if someone can not stop, just do not go shopping and disconnect the internet so as not to tempt fate.

1. I never buy on impulse. I tend to research the market for days, weeks, or even months to know everything about that product, its alternatives, every characteristic. Only then, with a cold mind and knowledge about everything that I need, I decide to buy or not to buy.

2. I don't tend to buy everything I want. I always plan my budget, and if this purchase will affect my budget too much, I will never buy that thing.

3. I don't know any tricks. I don't use any tricks, and I can't remember the situation in which I bought something completely unnecessary. I always painstakingly choose what to buy, and it always well though decisions. So I don't know what advice will be useful.

There was a time when I bought unnecessery stuf. But, you know, when you have a life of a student without any stable work you realise that you should stop this. Since then I learned how to distribute and value my finances. Maybe, I become more cold minded. Try to earn money in a hard way.

1) Sometimes yes, but I don't think I ever bought something useless and expensive at the same time. Having a planned budget helps to avoid such expences. With that in mind, though, sometimes being a little bit impulsive might be a good thing. If you have a lot of money, why don't you enjoy a small portion of them?
2)Yes, I can. As long as you can keep your money goals in mind, it makes this choice much easier.
3)It depends on what is the source of your problems is. If you are bad with planning and budgeting, there is a fair amount of budgeting apps on the internet. If it is a problem of willpower, then you have to start training it, the trick here is to start doing some small things that benefit you, or stop doing the things that harm you on a daily basis. You start from something very simple, as brushing your teeth every morning (assuming you are not doing it already) and slowly increase the number of things you are controlling in your life. At some point, you will become so good at tackling this kind of issues, that spending habits will naturally become just another little flaw of your character that you are able to fix with just a little bit of effort. At least it is the way I dealt with most of the mine issues of a similar kind.
1. Do you buy on impulse? How often do things you’ve bought prove to be entirely unnecessery?

Pretty much never. I think that I am really good at keeping myself from buying unnecessary things. When I buy something I try to always look for a best offer and I ask myself if I even need such thing. Of course sometimes it happens that I buy something silly, but who doesn’t?

2. Can you resist the temptation of having something new? Like for example new blouse, T-shirt, some cosmetics or any other stuff

It depends from the price. If it is cheap I probably will buy it but if it is expensive I really have to need that thing to consider buying it. For example buying new shoes for 200 PLN might come as a impulse, but buying shoes for 700 PLN would have to be really seriously considered and probably wouldn’t happen in the end.

3. Do you know any tricks, which help to cope with and combat spending too much money on shopping?

I myself don’t really need such tricks but when I do I try to count in my head how much time did I need to earn that money in the first place. When it was fast – I buy, when it wasn’t – I don’t. Simple as that.

1. Do you buy on impulse? How often do things you’ve bought prove to be entirely unnecessery?
Sometimes I buy on impulse but it's really rare. In my case buying on impulse is buying the same day I saw something, not that I just saw it and instantly bought. I always think for a long time before buying and near always search the internet for opinions and reviews. I also try to find a shop which offers the best terms and price.
I think I've never bought anything that would be entirely unnecessary and useless. Maybe when I was a kid and I was convincint my parents to buy me another ball from the vending machine with rubber balls :-)

2. Can you resist the temptation of having something new? Like for example new blouse, T-shirt, some cosmetics or any other stuff.
Yes, I can definitely resist that temptation. It's always hard, but my rationality and cold calculations always win. I won't buy something when I'm not sure that I need it.

3. Do you know any tricks, which help to cope with and combat spending too much money on shopping?
I don't know any specific tricks, I just have a strong will. I like shopping and I often go to shops with my girlfriend just to spend time, as an entertainment. And I can manage to not buy everything.

Yeah, unfortunately I do. I’m trying to keep all the receipts though, to be able to return those things later, especially if they are not only unnecessary, but also unusable (yep, buying this type of things also happens to me).
Actually I do. If I’m on a budget, I can control my money very well. I have quite a lot of clothes and beauty products, and I love buying new ones, but only if I have some “free” money to spend. There are more important things in life. Food and bills, for example :)
Usually I have some high-level plan for my money, I have the part I should spend on some monthly payments, like rent, insurance etc, part for food and other staff for home and part for entertainment and little guilty pleasures :) This way I can control how much money I spend on everything.

Do you buy on impulse? How often do things you’ve bought prove to be entirely unnecessary?
Of course I did as most. We are living in the era of corporations, best marketers know how to convince you that you need this thing, even if it’s not, and everyone is happy because they sold shit, and you because you bought this shit which is “really” necessary.

Can you resist the temptation of having something new? Like for example new blouse, T-shirt, some cosmetics or any other stuff
I can avoid shopping malls. If I see something I really like I can afford I would buy it, even if it unnecessary shit.

Do you know any tricks, which help to cope with and combat spending too much money on shopping?
Planning your budget for each month can help to avoid unnecessary purchase, I believe.

1. I try not to buy on impulse. Usually I ask myself, will I use the thing I want to buy? If yes, for how long will I use it? However, I must admit that sometimes I just buy things for my own pleasure. Obviously those are not a serious thing that cost a lot.

2. Yes. I am not that kind of a person that needs to have a newest smartphone etc. If I buy something I don't really need is usually because I see it and I really really like it. Not because it is the newest thing on market.

3. I think that setting a limit for yourself on how much you can spend during a month is a good idea. Thanks to that even if you like shopping things won't get out of hand too quickly.

No, I don`t. I`m buying things that I really need. I`m asking myself several times before buying:” Do I really need this?”. That is the way, how I deal with such situations.

Of course, I can. Because I have another addiction. This kind of temptation can be easily resisted by me). Like I said above, it will be enough to ask yourself about the necessity of that “object”. And logic of the answers you`ll receive. If they will be quite logical, it means that you really need that.

Maybe the order of my answers is wrong, or questions are quite same, but I`ve already answered …

Week 11 [03-09.06.2019] The problem with ecological cars emission in UK

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form. These can be particles of sea salt, clouds from the Sahara and artificial compounds made by people. These compounds often come fr

Week 12 (12.01-18.01.15) Are you an early bird or a night owl ?

Owls are nocturnal creatures. They’re wide awake at night and they sleep during the day. If this sounds like bliss to you, then, like about 20 percent of the population who find themselves most active at around 9 pm, you may fall into the same category as our feathered friend. Night owls often have difficulty waking up in the morning, and like to be up late at night.  Studies of animal behaviour indicate that being a night owl may actually be built into some people’s genes. This would explain why those late-to-bed, late-to-rise people find it so difficult to change their behaviour. The trouble for night owls is that they just have to be at places such as work and school far too early. This is when the alarm clock becomes the night owl’s most important survival tool. Experts say that one way for a night owl to beat their dependence on their alarm clocks is to sleep with the curtains open. The Theory is that if they do so, the morning sunlight will awaken them gently and naturally.
