Work culture experience
Have you considered what work culture suits you most? Startups, corporates, freelance - every has its pros and cons.
I'd like to share with you my experience.
Startups usually offer you availability to work remotely or to have elastic working hours. Although startup companies structure is much more simpler than corporate ones. You can easily make connections with people and gain experience. Usually there is not strict hierarchy. Furthermore one of the most good thing in startups is decision making duration. As such companies do not have a lot of employees you can directly discuss and make decisions very fast with anyone and anywhere. Unfortunately such companies cannot offer you benefits such as huge corporations do. But you might count on common things like integration parties or medical care packets. Great in such companies is that they usually prefer modern and elastic work methodologies connected with agile and scrum. You’ll have the opportunity to experiment and study something new. As for cons will you have to deal with problems on your own and the chance of company fail and that you'll get fired is bigger than in corporation.
On the other hand, from my experience working in a corporate company differs. First of all most corporate companies prefer other types of employment than startups do. This preference comes from a stability demand. For corporate matters your availability at strict hours, so if you prefer to work from 9am to 5pm, this choice is for you. The most difference is at decision making duration. At a startup company you can directly communicate and make decisions. At a corporate company every decision is a complicated process where a lot of people are involved. Corporation structure is hierarchical, so any request has to make its way through layers of people. But corporate companies propose more benefits, in my example I have 13th salary, medical care and insurance. Also there are gaming and nap rooms in the office. Not like a startup, corporation working methodology is often a waterfall where you long build a complicated huge product. Furthermore in corporation you won't have an allowance to experiment or study, you have to do what the business wants from you.
Working as a freelancer gives you freedom. You may do what you want, the only boss for you is yourself and the deadline. You won't get any benefits as a freelancer. You have to buy yourself, equipment to make work done and schedule your time properly. Freelance work is usually unstable. You may have the order, or you may not, so you have to manage your outcome carefully. Also for freelancer portfolio is very important, as you won't have clients if you cannot prove your skills.
As for me I prefer startups. They won't give me much benefits, but I will have more pleasure from the work itself rather than suffer at working hours for greater goods after.
Freelance is also great, but I lack motivation. What about you?

2. My best working experience was getting my first job. I didn't have any bad experiences yet.
3. Right now, the most important things for me are ability to learn new things and working on interesting things. Later, when I will be more experienced, I will also look for a good salary and other benefits, but before that I would like to concentrate on self-development.
I don't care. In my life I have experienced both work cultures, certainly not 100%, but I've had contact with them. I'm currently working in a startup and I feel really good. The atmosphere is very pleasant and loose, I know every employee in the company and there are no barriers between departments. However, my first contact with the other side was my first job - a typical corporation, where I only knew my department, everyone did their job, there was little courtesy and interest in others. I will honestly say that both of these worlds suit me, both of them offer something different to me, but it doesn't discourage me enough to choose a winner from among them.

I have to admit that I really enjoy working at my current position in the startup. However, I can't say anything bad about the corporation either, so I haven't had any bad work experiences so far.
3. What is a decision maker when you select new job?
I think that the most important factors for me are: the opportunity to develop and performing interesting and ambitious tasks strictly related to my interests or field of study. The atmosphere at work and the location of the office are also important. Only further would I raise the topic of salary or bonuses, because at this point it's most important for me to gain experience and to build my portfolio.
2. I’ve partially answered this question already. To summarise – my current job is the best working experience, because of great people and organisation. My worst working experience was my previous job which was a total mess from management point of view.
3. The decision makers are technologies used in particular company, its size and self-development opportunities. I don’t care that much about money right now, but it is going to change later and that will also influence the decision.
A flexible one, though a startup looks nice, but mostly I love to get things done and have some free time. It's motivating. If you finish your task faster and with better result than you have more time for you. It's better than sitting strict hours or sitting hours only to get more money as you are getting bored with lack of work at the moment.

I have a little work experience so it is hard to describe but the worse experience in my opinion is when you have to wait in job for some new tasks or decisions to be made to progress further. You cannot go to home mostly and you are just sitting there bored for the money flow and nothing more.

How far is it from my home, how much will I earn, what new things can I learn there.
I think that my best work experience is happening right now as i am doing what i enjoy, i get satisfaction and nice salary from what i am doing and i don't feel exhausted when i leave workplace. While worst work experience were years i've spent in gastronomy. It is hard work that rarely gives you anything but fatigue on every level you can imagine. It is stressful, rarely grateful or ungrateful at all. I have a lot of sympathy for people working in gastronomy beacuse it is hard work that doesn't give you much back.
I'd rather earn less than be put in place where i don't belong. Therefore i seek for place that needs someone like me, with skills i got because i know that it will help me to progress and develop my skills even further. Obviously job can't be a dead end but in IT it isn't that easy to get stuck in this kind of a job.
I like freedom the most. If I feel a whip over myself, monitor my work, check my computer, check the time - the time at which I appear at work or measure the time I'm at coffee, causes only my reluctance and thus a decrease in efficiency and motivation to work.

The worst is the mobbing I experienced working as the only woman among young men. They were very pushy. My best experience is to allow me to do my work in conditions that are convenient for me at the time I set.

As for me, definitely the location and the salary. People are also very important but we don't always have the influence or the opportunity to get to know the team with whom we will work.
While searching for a new job it'd be important for me to have the ability to work from home from time to time as it is really convenient. Another important things are the atmosphere within the Team, remuneration and opportunities for development.
My current job is my first job and I have been working here for 3 years now. It is IT corporation, one of the biggest in the world. I have to say I love working here. I do very interesting stuff, have incredible inspirational team and we have really cool atmosphere here. I can work at home anytime I want and I have flexible hours. I think I couldn't find a better place. Even it is a corporation, I feel like I'm working in a startup.

As I mentioned earlier where I work now it is my frist job and for 3 years time I have never experienced any of bad situation. Of course there are some situations when atmosphere is nervous because of deadlines but everyone there knows that is the reality of working in corporation. You can get used to it.

Firstly I want to develop my skills, learn new things. Also working atmosphere, working from home and flexible hours are very important to me.
2. My first job was a warehouseman position. The work itself was not tragic, my colleagues were very nice and there was a friendly atmosphere. The problem was the monotony and distance that separated me from the workplace. The journey lasted almost 2 hours, which means that I had as much as 4 hours wasted on the journey every day.
3. For me, the main factors affecting the choice of work are pay, location, colleagues and the atmosphere in the company. If the atmosphere is heavy and unpleasant I don't see any point in working in such an environment. Sooner or later work in such a place would become unbereable and unhealthy.
1. I think that every work culture have good and bad sides. I prefer having a nice atmosphere at work, so I don't feel like it is a punishment when I have to go there.
2. My worst work experience was when I was working in phone center. Atmosphere was awful and you could almost feel a whip on your back. The whole working there was for me a worst working experience. About the best one, I think it was leaving that job - fortunately it was only to make some money on holidays.
3. I suppose money. Money is not the most important thing, the work atmosphere is. However, from being on a interview and having talk with hr people you can't know how working there feels like, unless you got some friend there.
It's difficult to say what's my best working experience. It feels good when project that you've been part of is turning into successful one.
I don't recall any bad experience it's just one of the good things about being programmer - if something is wrong in the company it's so easy to move to another one.
Things I consider when looking for a job: Technology stack, company size, growth opportunities, salary.
It seems to me that it doesn't matter what work culture you choose the main thing is to like what you are doing.

For me, the worst experience was my first work experience when I worked in the service sector. When you work with many different clients, you never cease to be surprised at how inadequate and dumb some of them can be.

When I looking for work, one of the main factors is of course money, but also feedback about this company is very important. Also important is how big the company is and what their requirements are.
2. Probably the best feelings are completing the project ahead of time and getting praise from the supervisor. And the worst in my opinion is getting fired. Fortunately, I haven't experienced the worst one yet.

2. I haven’t had that much working experience and I can’t say any of that was really unpleasant, maybe I can just mention that in one place there wasn’t enough for me to do and I could feel my supervisor was struggling with finding any tasks for me. That was a bit awkward.
3. When looking for a job it is difficult to understand if the employer has what you want, viz. a friendly atmosphere, interesting tasks and some out-of-office activities or bonuses. At first, you just search for a job where you get paid for what you do and compare their requirements with your qualifications.
It's hard enough to say. It so happens that in my life I worked for a very small start-up and a very large corporation. Definitely both have their advantages. Now I work in a startup, and it's very convenient for me, because it's possible to work without leaving home, it's very convenient to combine this mode with studying. But in the long run, I would probably prefer the corporation, because of its stability.

Again, so far I've only got two jobs in my life. And I can call both of these works my best experience, because having both startup and corporates, I now have a great opportunity to actually compare what is best for me.

Until I graduate, definitely how convenient it is to combine work and study. Once I get my diploma, it's stable employment. I want to have at least some confidence in tomorrow. Unfortunately, neither the startup nor the freelance can give me that kind of confidence...

3 When I make a decision about a new job I consider the culture and size of the company, the technology that is used, salary, localization and possibilities for development.
2. The best work experience was changing into a programmer from a mechatronics engineer. I thought finding a first job would take a year, and in fact everything happened in 2 weeks. However, the worst experience was working with an alcoholic in a team in a previous job. Total pathology.
3. The two most important factors - money and self-development, where I put money at first position. I suspect that everyone has similar preferences.
2. Getting a job as a .net Developer was my best working experience. I'm working at this position one year and I still go to work with smiling face. I haven't had any bad exerpience yet.
3. As I mentioned in my first answer salary, benefits, work-life balance and career growth are the most important for me. Moreover, I always pay attention on a job description and I read opinion about this company.
2. As I said before, I am very satisfied with my current job, when it comes to the worst experience I have had to work on construction sites in the summer, the work was very hard after returning home, I had no strength for other activities. I hope I will never have to work physically again.

The main factor for me when choosing a new job is the opportunity to develop my skills, I also pay attention to the earnings and atmosphere in the team because I think that in order to work effectively, work must be pleasant, and relationships with other employees should be as friendly as possible.
I have similar problem with lack of motivation, but I know I would work the best as a freelancer, with variety of projects and elastic work-time hours, where I would be able to work when I feel productive and well-rested. Of course it has also disadvantages like independent accounting and much more responsibility. But still I would prefer to work as freelancer

The worst one is in huge corporation where even if your done with your responsibilities for today you have to stay au work for 8 hours. That is just stupid. The second problem is sometimes mismatched in the team what can evolves to uncomfortable atmosphere.
The best one is working in start-up with the best people I have ever met on some project for bank. That was the most creative and funny atmosphere with motivated and inteligent people, who taught me and gave me huge first experience on the labor market.

Right now the most important markers for me are development opportunities and salary. After that I look for comfortable atmosphere and nice location with good communication.
Yeah technologies are also important, because you usually don't want to work with technologies you are not interested in.

I had a positive experience. What I liked the most was that the head of the company trusted me a lot and allowed me to act on my own. If I was leaving, I would get a company car and other bonuses. I just didn't like the fact that I had to stay at work overtime.

I think financial matters are most important to me. What is more, the possibility of development and the atmosphere in the company also are crucial. I would not like to work in some huge corporation.

I guess the best experiences while in Turkey. I was in high school at the time and I was also making a website or something. Flash websites were popular and everyone wanted it. Because I knew very few people around me, I was making money from those jobs and I was kept on hand. The bad one in Poland when my session card does not come out for quite a while I was unemployed for a while due to financial difficulties I had to work in bad jobs. I don't want to tell my experience at all, but it was really bad for me.

I want to be flexible (like working remotely or flexible working hours) and be sure to improve myself there.

My worst working experience is when I've come to company for 3 months practice. Until the end of first, I've done everything they prepared for me, and for next 2 months I had nothing to do..
The best one is when my boss came to me and I was approved in front of the others. It was great feeling.

There are few key factors which I take into consideration during selecting new job. First is perspective, potential to improve, distance to work and of course salary. I believe these things are the most important for me and whenever I need to change a job I take that one which is suitable for me.
Basically, we spent a lot of time at work, and for many work is the second home. And unfortunately, I believe, there is no ideal work culture, you should always adapt and compromise. It's hard to say which one I would prefer as it's very individually to the company and you, some startups can have a better culture than corporations and vice versa.

Like most here, I do not have a lot of experience in different companies, but now I pay more attention to the benefits system, team atmosphere, transparency, diversity, clarity in our mission and values we delivery.

I do prefer work from anywhere in the world, working in an office or home it won't be enough sometimes, life is short enough to get realised to i would prefer work from anywhere while having fun and make money.

I had once had the type of internship where the only way your work ever gets noticed is when something goes wrong for any reason and your boss is looking for someone to yell at. After a few weeks I figured out that the less I did, the less anything could go wrong and the less I had to report to my boss. Lesson learned.

Money. friendly athmostpher, good director. (I couldn't find any that I have ordered so right now I am my own boss in my company tho.)
I used to work for corporate and I can say, that I liked it. Of course, there are some cons, but the overall experience is ok. I like, how the job is organized, some strict rules and the culture incorporates. I haven't worked for startup companies, yes, so maybe I will change my mind later.

The worst experience was when I was working for a small company. There were a lot of strange and stupid rules, which were like in a corporation, but without any benefit. The decision making part also was weak there. My best working experience is for a corporation, it is a sometimes funny and calmy job.

It depends on a lot of different factors. For me it is salary, is a very important part, also project on which I will probably work, a technology used on a project. Also, I am interested in the location and people. As well as, free hours, holidays and flexible timetable.

My worst experience was opening the gate of surf camp in Jastarnia beeing paid 3.5 pln per hour and doing that for 6 to 8 hours. But my best was working for big corporation and learning so many new interesting things and meeting great people from around the world.

If the job I will be doing makes me better version of myself after some time and is it well paid so i can make my dreams come true after work
I really enjoy flat culture where you can freely talk to anyone you want. This helps with creating new contacts and friends much easier.

I really enjoy my current company. I really like people there, the benefits proposed and it also helps me with self-development. My previous place of work was something completely opposite. I can’t say that I didn’t like working there because I really like people that I met there and I also learned there a lot but apart from these two factors, the place was a nightmare – the employer did everything he could to #@%! In the butt.

I guess that mix of projects that employer propose you to work on, people you may work with, perks & benefits, location of the office and also salary as in the end it’s just business and if you can negotiate the best money you can get, you will go for it so that you feel satisfied.
2. All of my working experiences were good as they all taught me a lesson. I have by now worked in different work cultures, and what I liked most in all of them was the atmosphere of work and the feeling of accomplishment.

I prefer startup work culture. I like that I have elastic working hours, friendly atmosphere without such strong hierarchy. Also it's important to me to have an influence on project, its architecture and which technologies to use.

Fortunately, I don't have bad work experience. In all jobs that I worked on I had all of what is described above.

For me the most important aspect is the project I would work on. I don't want to waste time working on job that isn't interesting and doesn't make me happy.
I’ve actually worked in two places, and both were great in its own way. But I also have some freelance experience and I didn’t like it, I don’t have much motivation even when I’m just working remotely, so freelance doesn’t work for me at all.
A lot of things. Money, obviously. But also possibility of self-development, fun colleagues. I also like to have flat structure on the workplace, so you’re not afraid to talk to your boss and can have good friendly relationships with your subordinates.
2. It is hard for me to answer this question because I haven't worked in many companies. Maybe in future I will be able to answer such question.
3. I would salary. After all this is the main reason I go to work so it has to be satisfying for me.
