Week 10 [16.12-22.12.2019] "One Tesla = only 10,000G!" Groszy!? Is it a dream?

This video was tweeted by Elon Musk, The speech in this video is a quote from Nikola Tesla, you can feel how avant-garde his ideas were at that time. Tesla has more than 1000 patented inventions in his life, and many inventions that affect human life have been developed based on his inventions, such as: AC generator, AC power transmission, hydropower station, radio, auto-ignition, telephone, radio, TV, fax machine, radar, wireless guided missile, drone, X-ray camera, neon light, solar power, bladeless turbine and so on. Why Tesla was not the inventors of them? Because as the rich and influential CEO and poor Tesla's biggest enemy at that time, Thomas Alva Edison used his own resources to make the US government revoke Tesla's patents.
You may know about Nikola Tesla through Elon Musk's company "Tesla" or physics, anyway, we seldom know that Tesla was surrounded by spies who wanted to steal the results of his research all year round, Tesla was controlled by the US government for the second half of his life since he was considered ridiculous/weird, after his death, the US FBI confiscated all his design drawings and experimental works and classified them as high-level secrets, The US military has not stopped researching his thesis so far.
Not even to mention his idea about drone, can you think of him speaking 8 languages and playing so called wireless charging (with far distance) 120 years ago?
It was a pity that Tesla was crushed by capitalism at that time, otherwise the contribution would be greater, and it is no exaggeration to say that without Tesla, the human world would be another scene.

PS: Sorry for my misleading title, this is not an advertisement for Tesla cars, what I mean is a bad joke: 1 Tesla= 10000 Gauss😊( 1 T= 1 Wb/m^2=10000 G)

Question:
1.     What will you do if you have some progressive foresight that others may think you are ridiculous/weird like how Nikola Tesla was treated?
2.     How do you feel about this video? does it motivate you?
3.     Would you like to support/buy Tesla cars after knowing more about the stories of Nikola Tesla or Elon Musk?

I think if I will have some new breakthrough technology in mind or some progressive foresight, I would probably do everything in my power to make it real. I would try to patent it to make sure that I am the first one to thought of it. And even if most of other people would call me weird and ridiculous, I probably wouldn’t give up on my dreams. I think this video is visionary, but the idea may be too perfect in my opinion to be totally real. I would like to buy Tesla car even with out knowledge about Elon Musk or Nikola Tesla just because their cars are simply awesome. Probably if I would know more about their history and all interesting stories about them, I would like to have Tesla car even more. I am sure that someday in the future I will buy one of Tesla’s car and enjoy it very much.

I would definitely try to push through and do everything I could to make people understand what I want to accomplish. It's often hard for such a visionaries to function because the world will always complain and try to get him down. The video is motivating and Tesla's words are really timeless. Till the end I felt like these are words especially for the commercial so I was surprised at the end. I already know something about Tesla and Elon Musk and I'm already into Tesla's cars. I would definitely want to have one in the future as I like geeky stuff. I think Teslas are perfect for geeks and car enthusiasts even without a petrol engine. Moreover, I really support Elon's crazy ideas and I really like him as a philanthropist and visionary.
1. What will you do if you have some progressive foresight that others may think you are ridiculous/weird like how Nikola Tesla was treated?
Nothing. I have never bothered about this, there will always be people similar to you, with a similar area of interest, character who will understand you. You just need to be in the right environment for you.

2. How do you feel about this video? does it motivate you?
In a way, yes. All activities, projects that have a real future, unconventional thinking, new solutions are motivating, encourage us to act instead of sitting idly on the couch.

3. Would you like to support/buy Tesla cars after knowing more about the stories of Nikola Tesla or Elon Musk?
Hahahaha, If I had enough money so I could buy a car of this class without worries or a lot of debt, probably yes. In the current situation definitely not and I'm not even going to keep it a dream. :)

It is good that you care your dreams more than others' opinions, also you are right that patent is important, and many people are not aware of it. Hope you will get closer and closer to your dreams! as well as Tesla cars hahah
Yubin said…
I agree with your way of thinking that convincing others to understand you is sometimes more important than having a visionary idea yourself in this world of complaining, glad to know that you also like Tesla's cars and Elon's crazy ideas! Really hope someday we can drive cypertruck on Mars haha
Yubin said…
Sorry I may partially agree, you are right if you are talking about just super outstanding people but not about the ones with visionary foresight, I hope we all students will have to bother about this someday in the future instead of sitting idly on the couch, but not including me,
since I am truely sitting on the bed now but not couch:) bad joke...
Didn't you read the title "One Tesla = 10000 Groszy"? It is "not a dream" anymore! hahaha
1. What will you do if you have some progressive foresight that others may think you are ridiculous/weird like how Nikola Tesla was treated?

You don't always have to follow other people's opinion. If I really believed in my idea, nothing would stop me from at least trying to make it happen.

2. How do you feel about this video? does it motivate you?

I really liked the video. I feel that Musk is a similar visionary to Nikola Tesla, although some people consider him crazy. As mankind, we still have a long way to go to say that we use natural and 100% renewable energy, but I hope that we will strive for that.

3. Would you like to support/buy Tesla cars after knowing more about the stories of Nikola Tesla or Elon Musk?

If I had enough money and knew that in Poland we would be moving away from fossil fuel power generation, it is definitely so. I also like the idea of autonomous cars, which is mainly developed by Tesla.

I will go for it no matter what. I believe that great things don't come from comfort zone so sacrifice is needed, but I think people are more open-minded nowadays and I wouldn't be treated as Tesla was.
I don't really like the visual aspect of the video, but the narration is so deep, you can feel how passionate about the science Tesla was.
I would love to buy a Tesla car for quite a long time, but your article made me curious about Nikola Tesla so I can't wait to learn more about him!

1. What will you do if you have some progressive foresight that others may think you are ridiculous/weird like how Nikola Tesla was treated?
Yes, now it seems stupid, sad and funny at the same time. Or maybe humanity would have achieved more advanced successes in the field of technology if they had listened to Tesla from the very beginning. I hope that in modern science there is no such attitude towards scientists who offer crazy ideas. Today they seem crazy, but tomorrow it will be a new reality. As happened in this case.

2. How do you feel about this video? does it motivate you?
In general, I first heard Tesla’s voice, I didn’t think that such archives exist. Sounds motivational. Probably at the time when he lived for this audio recording they treated a little differently. But today everyone knows that he is a real genius. And by the way, in general, this video is a very good product. I think the majority did not remain indifferent to this advertisement. Everyone respects Tesla.

3. Would you like to support/buy Tesla cars after knowing more about the stories of Nikola Tesla or Elon Musk?
Well, in general, I would not mind an electric car. And of course, the car of this brand in this format is the flagship. Therefore, if I decided to start a car, I would consider this car.
Merry Christmas, Yubin!
1.If I found myself in a situation where people would consider my findings to be untrue I would try to face them and explain how they work. I would also say that this is only science development. We should be making progress inthis area all the time. Something that is weird and modern for us today, in 10 years it may be norms.

2.This video uploded by the biggest brand which sells electric cars is really interesting for me. It is motivational as they can testify many Nkola Tesla quotes and of course this motivates me very well. However grey image of the world in this film is also to show us that our environment getting worse and renewable energy like electricity is the only way out.

3.Yes. I think that in the future I will buy one of the Tesla but not through the stories of Nikola and
Elon. I was interested in them earlier and both are amazing for me. I think these days we should take more care to the environment and that’s the main reason why I would buy this great design car.
Our civilization is developing, various modern technologies and solutions are developing with us. Among other things, electric cars, I will say a little more because this is the article here. Some time ago, to reduce exhaust emissions, the greenhouse effect and the energy industry in general, people decided to do something about it. The first electric cars were made. What electricity is produced from is a topic for another article. If there are a lot of new electric vehicles, we will probably see an improvement in the environment, so I think this is a great development direction. I plan to buy an electric car myself, but I have to wait a bit, because they are expensive today, moreover there are few charging stations, and I would not like to have a car standing somewhere in the middle of the road or in a field :D

1. I don't know what I would do. Fortunately, I don't consider myself a scientist - inventor. Programmers in my eyes will never be inventors.
2. No, this movie doesn't motivate me. I didn't even find anything motivating in it that would move other people.
3. No, I will never buy a Tesla car because I don't like Mr. Tesla. Half of the inventions you wrote about were not invented by him. There were disputes over the years in courts, which most often ended in irrational decisions.
1. What will you do if you have some progressive foresight that others may think you are ridiculous/weird like how Nikola Tesla was treated?
I would porbably stay stubborn about my inventions but only if i was sure about my work. And how to be sure? Prove it with science! Science is objective.

2. How do you feel about this video? does it motivate you?
I don't feel any kind of motivation. It shows some trend to step away from fossil fuels in adventage of electric power.

3. Would you like to support/buy Tesla cars after knowing more about the stories of Nikola Tesla or Elon Musk?
I'm truly impressed about teslas cars. I would like to own one in the future. The idea of electric cars is promising and i would proudly join the revolution.

1. What will you do if you have some progressive foresight that others may think you are ridiculous/weird like how Nikola Tesla was treated?
I probably would have done as well as Mr Tesla did - I would also buy myself an island, build my own laboratory there, and would conducting researches, recording their results for those who would understand me.
2. How do you feel about this video? does it motivate you?
Good Tesla advertising, but let's be honest that we aren't so energy-independent from the bowels of our planet that we do not need oil or coal to produce electricity. Generating electricity pollutes the environment with no less than a diesel engine. So I would not say that I am very motivated.
3. Would you like to support/buy Tesla cars after knowing more about the stories of Nikola Tesla or Elon Musk?
No. history is history, and product is product. I would rather buy Mr. Tesla's documentation than spend money on electric cars. Well maybe it's because I'm a fan of vehicles that carry more than one person at a time. and just because brilliant people have an interesting story does not mean that I have to maintain their point of view.

1. To be honest, I'm not interested in other people's opinions about me, so I would definitely do what I think is right, and no one would be able to stop me, I think great ideas are often ridiculed, so I wouldn't pay attention to that.

2. I really liked the video, it is full of unconventional thinking, the movie shows that Tesla really believed in what he said, I think that Elon Musk is a similar visionary, who believes in his projects and tries to realize them at all costs, this approach is very motivating.

3. I am a big fan of Tesla cars, one of my dreams is to have one of the stable cars, if the situation with the possibility of charging electric cars in Poland improves, I am convinced to buy one of the Tesla cars. I never liked electric cars because of their appearance, but Tesla cars look amazing, completely breaking the conventions of electric cars, their appearance is sporty and very elegant at the same time, for me the Tesla model S is currently one of the prettiest cars on the market.

1. What will you do if you have some progressive foresight that others may think you are ridiculous/weird like how Nikola Tesla was treated?

I like innovation. We don't have to follow fashion and become like other people. If we want to achieve something, let's do it despite the fact that not everyone can like it.

2. How do you feel about this video? does it motivate you?

Great movie. He motivated me quite a lot. After watching it, reflection comes to my mind, that we should move towards renewable energy. Otherwise, it will be really bad for us on earth.

3. Would you like to support/buy Tesla cars after knowing more about the stories of Nikola Tesla or Elon Musk?

Yes, I think that in the future I will buy such a car. People tend to talk more frequently about pollution of the earth and we must do everything to save our Earth. The problem now is the high cost of such a car for people in Poland.

1. Well first of all Nicola Tesla had many theoretical ideas which were never proved. How can you force someone to believe in the theory of it is a theory still? If only someone could prove them they would not be theories anymore.
Not believing in theories is not a sin as long as they are just theories.
On the other hand if I had a villain like Edison trying to set me up - I would be mad. His problem was just an anti-propaganda from his rival.

2. It doesn’t really motivate me. When Tesla was delivering his speech from this video, electric cars weren’t possible. We didn’t have the technology of storing and charging electricity as we do now. But I support transfer to electric cars.

3. I knew about Musk and Tesla and I don’t see a correlation to the question about Tesla cars. I will buy an electric car in the future. Maybe in a few years they will be really worth the price.
1. I would probably try to make my idea come true, but it is not always easy. Luckily(?) I don't have such problems.

2. Yes, I find this video somehow motivating.

3. I have been willing to buy a Tesla car even before this post, but unfortunately it is too expensive to get a Tesla in Poland at the moment.
1. I think that we should not worry about it, because everyone can have a different approach, so have a distance to each other.
2. Of course, he is somewhat motivating. I think that if we have a good idea, we should implement it. Those who don't take risks don't drink champagne.
3. I would not currently buy an electric car. Currently fast charging stations are not yet available in Poland. In addition, the time of full charge from zero and the distance that we can overcome on a full charge, driving calmly is not that big. Besides, I'm not a calm driver enough and I think that I would unload Tesla's car much faster.

I have been read a book about Nikola Tesla, it was really a great book, but when you come to the product innovation if you tell your idea to someone, either they stole it or find it stupid, and look you like a dump. That what they have, everybody has been laughed at Elon's last introduction of Cybertruck, but it has been already sold over +300k already with around $5b revenue. Amazing, yeah? :)
The book was, https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/34913925-nikola-tesla, if anyone wants to read.

2. How do you feel about this video? does it motivate you?
Absolutely that's a great video, but it actually didn't motivated me quite a lot. that's just a nice advertising :)

3. Would you like to support/buy Tesla cars after knowing more about the stories of Nikola Tesla or Elon Musk?
Yes.

1. Well, even if I could see the future it’s not a fact that I could realize something from what I saw, I’ll either forget about what I saw after half an hour or an hour or there’s simply no desire to do something from what I saw.
2. I would not say that it motivates me ...
3. I like Tesla cars by design, so I wouldn’t mind buying one if I had money)
1. What will you do if you have some progressive foresight that others may think you are ridiculous/weird like how Nikola Tesla was treated?
I will not care about their opinion about me and work even harder just to show them that I was not weird but in fact I created something unique and powerfull that will change the history.
2. How do you feel about this video? does it motivate you?
Yes, I would like to be like that guy in video, I love to watch movies that motivate you as I always rethink about those movies and get inspired becasue of them.
3. Would you like to support/buy Tesla cars after knowing more about the stories of Nikola Tesla or Elon Musk?
Anyway without knowing them I would buy tesla car as it is brilliant idea for me and very futuristic to stand alone against the others with vehicle or technology from future :)
1. I usually have such ideas. But most often I get lazy to put them to life. Not because I am afraid that society will not accept them. Just that it takes a lot of effort to really bring these ideas to life.
2. The video is great and surely motivating. But videos like this one are very often to be seen. They can support work on current projects or even motivate to create a new one. But really accomplishing an idea is much more sophisticated...
3. I like Tesla cars and will surely get one in the future. I just want the technology to be more developed, tested and trusted. Also I am waiting for more battery life

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form. These can be particles of sea salt, clouds from the Sahara and artificial compounds made by people. These compounds often come fr
