Week 4 [06.11-12.11] - How the football world I knew got broken into pieces one day

Source: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3245247/Bayern-Munich-star-Robert-Lewandowski-comes-score-FIVE-goals-10-minutes-change-game-against-Wolsburg.htm

I think there is no person in Poland. despite age and being a football fan or not that doesn’t know the main star of our Polish football team - the captain Robert Lewandowski. You may love him, you may hate him but one thing is sure - this 29 year old, very modest player that started his career in Znicz Pruszków is a real world record breaker and one of the most recognizable Polish names worldwide.

I have been a football fan since I was a kid (generally La Liga - Spanish League) but Robert Lewandowski, Jakub Błaszczykowski and Łukasz Piszczek (called the Dortmund trio - back when they all played in Borussia Dortmund) were the main reason I became interested in Bundesliga (German Premier League) as well. Currently Robert Lewandowski is playing for Bayern Munich alongside with top players like Thomas Muller and Arjen Robben.

On the 22nd of September 2015 the football world I knew got literally broken into small pieces. Robert Lewandowski entered the field in 51 minute of the match when his team was losing 1:0 during a match with Vfl Wolfsburg. The match finished with a great score 1:5 for Bayern Munich - and all 5 goals were scored by one player - the one and only Robert Lewandowski. The scoreboard from that day is the picture worth more than 1000 words…

Amazing is that Robert needed just 8 minutes and 57 seconds to do all that. I think one of the commentators described it perfectly when after the fifth goal said, letting all the emotions go,  “You just cannot be that good !”. And he was right - what he made that day was really impossible - but Robert did it anyway. The reaction of the players outside the field, the speechless coach holding his head show that this situation was something very rare and worth remembering.

If you missed it or never watched it before (Lewandowski's 9-Minute Miracle):

After that match Robert Lewandowski has been awarded with the four Guinness world record certificates for:
Fastest Bundesliga hat-trick (3 minutes 22 seconds),
Fastest Four Goals in a Bundesliga Match (5 minutes 42 seconds),
Fastest Five Goals Scored in a Bundesliga Match (8 minutes 59 seconds),
Most Goals Scored by a Substitute in a Bundesliga Match (5 goals).

I think all of them will be undefeated for a very long time.

A few current records held by Robert Lewandowski:

Records - International:
Scoring record for a single UEFA European Championship qualification: UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying (13 goals)
Scoring record for a single European FIFA World Cup qualification: 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification (16 goals)
First European player to score 16 goals in a FIFA World Cup qualification
Most hat-tricks scored in a single European FIFA World Cup qualification: 3 (2018 FIFA World Cup qualification)

Records - Bundesliga:
Bayern Munich
Highest number of scored goals in a game by a substitute: 5 (matchday 6 of 2015–16)
Shortest elapsed time span until a scored hat-trick: 4 minutes (between minute 51 and 55 of matchday 6 of 2015–16)
Shortest elapsed time span until five scored goals: 8 minutes 59 seconds (between minute 51 and 60 of matchday 6 of 2015–16)
100 German top flight goals quicker than any foreign player

Questions:
1)    Are you a football fan ? Did you know about these records ?
2)    Which of the 5 goals in the video is the most amazing one for you ?
3)    For how long will the Guiness World Records made by Robert Lewandowski remain undefeated ?

I've been a football fan since I can remember and Lewandowski is the best polish football player I've ever seen. There was Żurawski, Frankowski, Smolarek, but Robert is by far the most outstanding polish footballer I could watch playing. I remember when the world went crazy about the famous "Dudek Dance" in the Champions League final in Istanbul, how proud I felt as a polish football fan. I felt similar when I heard that Lewandowski scored 5 goals in 9 minutes. In my opinion the last of this 5 goals was the most epic, but 2nd one was also very good. I think that Robert is now one of the best football players in the world and I wish he will play as long as it will be possible and his records will remain undefeatable. :)

I am a football fan since i was young. Of course i knew about these records, i even saw whole match Bayern Munich vs. Wolfsburg. If we talk about goals, for me last one was the best! It will take a long time to beat him, even such a good players like Messi or Ronaldo cannot make it. I have no idea but i hope that the next one will be from Poland too.

Of course I'm a huge football fan. I watch Championship all the time. Of course I'm also huge fan of Robert Lewandowski. It's great that we have footballer who is top ten in the world.
Of course I know this record, I watched this match, it was shocking. I think noone will beat this record for a long time. It's rare that team has this result in such short time, not to mention one player. I hope that Robert will change club next year. Interviews with Robert Lewadowski show that he wants to win Championship very much but when he plays in Bayern probably there is little chance.

I am not a huge fan of football. I don't even have favorite team (but of course Barcelona > Real :)). I heard about those records, I think everyone did. It's incredible what had Robert done, no one for a very long time won't beat his achievments. For me, the most epic goal is the last one.

Obviously, I love football and I knew Robert Lewandowski, when he played with Götze and Hummels, who were transferred from BVB to Bayern. His record is incredible, but it's also team work and he just scores goals. Anyway he is very talented and high paid star. Actually, the goals weren't specific and I can't point out any best.
This a matter of time, but I hope that Poland will have such footballers like Robert, because he is very useful, reliable and nonconvertible for the national team and Bayern as well.

I am not fan of football, and so sorry, but i don't know what tall you or share with you . And i had never heard and seen about these Records or videos... :(
The only thing that I can say that athletes risk their health for the fans. It's not right.
Are you a football fan ? Did you know about these records ?
2) Which of the 5 goals in the video is the most amazing one for you ?
3) For how long will the Guiness World Records made by Robert Lewandowski remain undefeated ?
1. I'm not a football fan but sometimes I find it interesting to watch some high rank matches. I knew about the records from the match when he scored 5 goals but the others records are new to me.
2. The last goal was amazing! Such stylish wow :D
3. Probably it will take a few years to beat it.

I have never been a football fan as I find it rather boring (I prefer different kinds of sport). I've heard about some record, but didn't know it was all about the score presented at the beginning. It doesn't matter if you are or are not a football fan, the score is definitely amazing and Robert Lewandowski is a great player. I remember one match when he scored in less than 2 minutes. I just turned the TV on and heard my neighbours yelling and laughing. I was impressed. I think his record will take a few long years to beat.

I'm not a big fan of football. I watch only the matches of our team. Of course the best film with 5 goals is with Robert Lewandowski. He is our master :)
Each of us love different sports discipline. If you only watch football matches of our team - do not miss a Mondays game at Energa Stadium in Gdańsk - because it is going to be by far the most experimental team setting against a very competitive team of Mexico. Lewandowski still won't be playing but also Kamil Grosicki (better known to football fans as "Turbo Grosik"), Kamil Glik and Grzegorz Krychowiak were sent home by our coach Adam Nawałka. Łukasz Piszczek and Arkadiusz Milik are still injured so they will miss this game also. At Mondays game our team will be out of main top players - one thing is for sure, we are gonna see a lot of new names on the field and they have 90 minutes to show us that they can play very good football ! GO POLAND !
If it comes to a lot of yelling I have never experienced more of it than when Poland was playing with Scotland in Glasgow - it was a match that determined if we are gonna qualify to Euro 2016 for sure. We had to win or draw this match to make it work and push Scotland out of Euro. We got it and there is only one person to thank for that - once again the captain Robert Lewandowski - who made it 2-2 in 94 minute.
Watch how the crowd reacted - and believe me I had about 15 friends in the house that night, lot of glasses very broken and screaming and hugging was just instane.
Mateusz Borek and Tomasz Hajto as a commentator also could not believe this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2aX5gfVErcU

The quote of our great coach Kazimierz Górski is still alive - "football - it's a game of two halves" or polish version "Dopóki piłka w grze, wszystko jest możliwe".
For me also the last goal looks just too easy to be true - but there is nothing to worry about - we are not the only ones who think so for sure :)
If you want to watch a really high rank match, there is one coming up - Derby of Madrid (Atlético Madrid vs Real Madrid)- 18th of November at 20:45. It was always a battle on the field to show which team is better and this time there will be no difference. Even Cristiano Ronaldo has been left out of Portugal's squad for this month's friendly against the United States, just to train more and have a strategy ready with Zinedine Zidane for the game.

Another classic, Gran Derbry Real Madrid vs FC Barcelona is planned for 23th of December so it will be a good match just before Christmas.
There is a YouTube link with all 5 goals and commentator - if you didn't see those records you can watch it.

Risking their health ? That includes all kinds of sports F1, MMA - even runners, swimmers and gymnastics and horse riding. But don't you think every job (I'm using job for a purpose - it's their way to enjoy what they love and earn money) has it's risk ? Even a bus driver is risking his health everyday because there are so much car accidents on the road and something could happen to him.
He is still playing with Hummels. Goetze... that's complicated - a golden child that got somehow mixed in which football club he wants to play in. Been in Borussia Dortmund for 4 years, then got a very bad response from his fans when moving so called enemy, Bayern Munich. Now he is back in Borrussia and has the worst statistic ever - 11 games and only one goal. It looks bad - but maybe he will find a way out of it.

I think in 10 years we will have more players like Robert Lewandowski. Why you may ask - because almost every child 6-10 is signing up to a football schools and just want to play football and be like Robert Lewandowski. Similiar thing was with Adam Małysz - and look how many kids tried Ski Jumping. It is phenomenal.
Jacek - by Championship do you mean UEFA Champions League or Engglish Footbal League Championship ? I'm assuming you meant the first one, if you are writing about Bayern. Otherwise you would write about Hull City and Kamil Grosicki :)

About transfers - I hope something magical is going to happen and he will move to Real Madrid just like he always wanted. But as I see in the transfers - Real is looking for players that have less than 25 years. Only one little realistic scenario comes to my on mind - if Bale would retire out of Madrid we could have BCL or BLC (Benzema, Christiano, Lewandowski) against currently BBC (Benzema, Bale, Christiano Ronaldo) trio. That would be awesome but it has to happen really fast - Robert is not getting younger and you can't fight with your age (but maybe we will have our Polish Francesco Totti :).
I see you are a true fan with long history - good to know. For me those records are safe for a very long period of time and almost unbeatable (or maybe Robert will have a son in a future and he will do it).
Check out the second best player on the list of the fastest Hat-Tricks by one player. Robert did a hat trick in 3 minutes 53 seconds. Sergio Aguero needed 9 minutes 12 second to do the same thing. It shows it is really hard to do this on the top level.

Funny thing was when I was in Greece and Spain during Euro 2016 meeting new people, they always asked where am I from. When I said Poland most of them thought I was taking about Holland, because the only thing the could respond was "Amsterdam". Only one correction was needed I said the name Lewandowski and everyone respond me "Polish player - very good" that's how recognizable he is.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed to have a record from Poland again on the list. Maybe one of the youngsters will show some talent - we will see on Monday match Poland vs Mexico if there is still lot of potential in the team left without main players on the pitch.

Have you watched this years Bayern Munich vs. Wolfsburg on 22th of September ? It ended up really bad 2:2 - and the whole game I was thinking - you have that kind of talents in the team, how can you make this that bad. For me it is very good that they got rid of coach Carlo Ancelotti - I think few of his decisions were made just for that purpose.
I never like this kind of statement ("but of course Barcelona > Real :))") because then I have to react as every good Madridistas has to.
I have few friends that are Blaugrana fans and we are treating each other with respect because both teams are keeping good level of competition in the whole football world.

And to sum up where it comes to numbers:
Spanish Cup Total titles won:
Real Madrid - 33
Barcelona - 24
Atlético Madrid - 10

UEFA Champions League Winners:
Real Madrid - 12
AC Milan - 7
Bayern Munich - 5
Barcelona - 5

So as my Blaugrana friends had to sing last year when Barcelona lost LA Liga cup - Hala Mardid !

Yes, I am a football fan. I watch football matches from the earliest years of my life. My favourite team is Chelsea FC. I am support them since 2005, but in every League i have got a team for which i secretly keep fingers crossed.

Yes I heard about this records. I didnt know that Guiness gave a diploma for achieved it. About this internacional records i heared a lot of because facebook didn't let me forget about it.
Which was the best? This is hard to answer this questions. All of them was great but in my opinion the most amazing was th 5th one. That was incredible goal, but the 4th one was just a little less special.

Records are made to be broken so one day someone will beat them but it not will be in the near future. I think the record *Shortest elapsed time span until five scored goals: 8 minutes 59 seconds* can remain undefeated for ages. This is unbelievable records. Amlost impossible to break. ...but some day... someone...

Sadio Mane scores fastest hat-trick in Premier League history 2 minutes and 56 seconds!!!
Yes I saw it - and really - this should be titled as two biggest defense errors made in a history of Premier League. Those two first goals did not have any class, sorry - just pure childish errors of the opposite team.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXbxyLX2JnQ
I remember that Chelsea was the first big stadium I saw on my trip to London - they have really great supporters I have to say that. One of my favorite song is The Fratellis - Chelsea Dagger so I have a sentiment for them as well as for Manchester United. I am not so much into Premier League but I know a lot of players playing there. Also Carlo Ancelotti was a trainer of Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, PSG and Chelsea. So all biggest clubs were in every Europe leagues crossed and big names along them. You had a very good transfer this summer from Real Madrid to Chelsea and I talk about Alvaro Morata. Great start in Premier League and that kid has a lot of potential. Maybe one day he will be record breaker also. Sad to hear that he had injury lately and won't play till next year.
Unknown said…
Morata played yestarday is Spain squad so i guess now he is in good shape.

Don't forget that Carlo was also in AC Milan.
He is living legend.

Not a big fan of football either but Lewy achievements are truly impressive. Of course one player doesn't make a team so let's not forget about the assists and rest of his team contributions because those are as important. The third goal is most impressive in my opinion. And this record of his will stay undefeated for quite long I assume.
They said minimum 8 weeks at the end of September. I missed the update:
https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/650927/Chelsea-news-Alvaro-Morata-injury-update-return-date-hamstring-problem
and also the Spain match but will review it in a free time (watched England vs Germany instead). It is good that he is back that is pure quality player.

One transfer that you are going to miss as well as a player himself is Diego Costa - when I saw his face watching his future club Atletico Madrid losing 2:1 in September that was a really sad view.

It should be called "What Have I done" face emoticon:
https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article11249648.ece/ALTERNATES/s615b/Atletico-Madrid-v-Chelsea-UEFA-Champions-League-Group-C-Wanda-Metropolitano.jpg
One player does not make a team but good players do wonders. When I watched the third one I thought one thing when he hit the post... "it won't get in" - don't know how he managed to put that inside the net.

I'm a football fun. Maybe not "watch every match in a league" type, but I do watch some biggest games in different leagues, Championship League and national matches. I'm very proud, that one of the best players is from Poland. I hope that one day he will receive best football player of the world title.
What Lewandowski did in that match was unbelievable. I think that he will hold those records at least to his football retirement.
As much as I like Robert Lewandowski he has a little chance to get Golden Shoe award. There is only one possibility to do so - he has to move to a club that is going to win UEFA Champions League and it has to be done in really good style. He has 2-3 years to do so, so let's keep our fingers crossed to make it happen.
I'm not a big fan of football, but sometimes i really enjoy watching them. However Robert Lewandowski is really impressing me and despite the fact i'm not so much intrested in football i knew some of the records you mentioned. If it comes to the match where Lewandowski scored 5 goals the most amazing goal for me is the fourth one. This goal shows the skills of the Robert. I have no idea for how long will the guiness world records made by Robert Lewandowski remain undefeated but i hope it will be as long as possible!

If you are a Sunday football fan get ready for tomorrows game - I wrote in previous comments about experimental team setting against a very competitive team of Mexico. Lewandowski is not going to be on the field but let's see what other players has to offer.
When I watch goal number four there is only one thing I can write - "right place, right time, right player, right hit !". Great movie to show to children in the future :)

To be honest, I am not a big fan of football but sometimes I enjoy watching some major matches in friends company. Now about this video, what I have seen - it's really dazzling, that's for what I admire this sport. Personally for me, all goals are amazing, but the last one is brilliant. I don't know what is happening right now in football world but I am quite sure that this record will remain undefeated for a long time.
I added many comments regarding current state of football today. Just read them and you're gonna have fast news update. For me also record will be undefeated for a long time but time will verify everything.

Sorry, I'm not a fan of the football and never heard of Robert Lewandowski. But it's amazing that he scored 5 goals while his colleagues couldn't do it. I wonder, why is it so.
Unknown said…
I am not the biggest football fan. I only watch games of our national team and only the ones that matter in a tournament. Still i have seen that video before. It was quite a big sensation on the Internet. I am really proud that we can have player of such a caliber in our country. I personally like goal number 5 the most if we are taking only Lewys behaviour and goal number 1 if we are considering the team play, cause that pass to player behind was awesome. I believe that it's going to be almost physically impossible to score goals faster than that.
Patryk Pohnke said…
Honestly, I'm not a fan of football. I only watch polish national team matches during big events. However I am still very proud of Robert. He became very popular and nowadays he is the most popular polish person worldwide. I knew about the record, it was very popular news back in the days. I think this record will hold very long, cause in my opinion being good is not enough. He had some luck that helped him that day. He scored all shots, teammates were passing ball to him and what is most important the opposite team could't keep the ball possesion during these 9 minutes.

I can’t say that I am a real football fan as I don’t go to the games or don’t keep track of the results of any particular team. It was hard not to hear about that outstanding performance of Robert Lewandowski in this match against Vfl Wolfsburg as it was a breaking news in the polish media that evening. I was so impressed with the number of records he had actually broken in that match.
The fifth goal was undoubtedly the best one in my opinion, Robert was in difficult position but managed to shoot on goal with power and accuracy.
It is actually hard to say how long these records will be undefeated. Bundesliga is a very strong league and it will not be an easy thing to e.g.: score hat- trick in 4 minutes as Robert Lewandowski did. On the other hand in 2 or 3 years some skillful and talented player may appear and he will be able to show similar performance, but I am sure he won’t be able to break all of Robert Lewandowski’s records in one match.
Zygmunt Z said…

I can’t say that I am a football fan and I didn’t know about any of these records. I have to admit that I have heard about these 5 goals that Lewandowski scored and if I were to choose my favourite one then it would the last one, scored with a volley shot. I am not an expert and I don’t really know if these records will ever be beaten but I think that this combination of luck and precision might happen to some other player who also can be a great footballer and will know how to use these situations and will be capable of defeat Lewandowski’s records. But personally I think that it would a great thing if a polish player will be able to hold his records for a very long time in football’s history.
Unknown said…
I have to admit that I am not a big fan of football. But on the other hand I really like to watch a multinational matches and I watch every match of polish representation. I have heard about Lewandowski's records and it is incredible. I am very pleased that we have such a great player and I like him as a person. Of course I don't know him personally but I fell that despite the fact that he is a footbal star he stayed a normal person which help people who need it. His statements after matches are very prise and smart.

I think that the 3rd and 5th goals was the best. Every time when I see a movie with his goals I have very simillar face expression like Guardiola during this match.

I is hard to say how long his records will be undefeated but I fell that it takes some time. ;)

Week 11 [03-09.06.2019] The problem with ecological cars emission in UK

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form. These can be particles of sea salt, clouds from the Sahara and artificial compounds made by people. These compounds often come fr

Week 12 (12.01-18.01.15) Are you an early bird or a night owl ?

Owls are nocturnal creatures. They’re wide awake at night and they sleep during the day. If this sounds like bliss to you, then, like about 20 percent of the population who find themselves most active at around 9 pm, you may fall into the same category as our feathered friend. Night owls often have difficulty waking up in the morning, and like to be up late at night.  Studies of animal behaviour indicate that being a night owl may actually be built into some people’s genes. This would explain why those late-to-bed, late-to-rise people find it so difficult to change their behaviour. The trouble for night owls is that they just have to be at places such as work and school far too early. This is when the alarm clock becomes the night owl’s most important survival tool. Experts say that one way for a night owl to beat their dependence on their alarm clocks is to sleep with the curtains open. The Theory is that if they do so, the morning sunlight will awaken them gently and naturally.
