Week 5 [30.3-05.04.20] A bit about celebrity home quarantine

Coronavirus scares, angers, annoys and infuriates. Stress is a huge problem for people of all ages. Celebrities from around the world urge the inhabitants of the planet to wash their hands more often and, if possible, not leave their homes. Three weeks of quarantine, on the one hand, brought a lot of problems. And on the other hand, they gave a reason to slow down for a while. Here are some examples of famous people spending time in isolation.
The creator of Game of Thrones, George Martin, posted a “Strange Days” article on his blog about what he did during the coronavirus pandemic. According to the 71-year-old writer, he temporarily closed most of his projects to prevent people from becoming infected with the coronavirus. He is in a remote isolated room where only one of his employees appears. And here is great news for GoT fans! George Martin noted that he was spending more time in Westeros than in the real world, writing every day. Things are pretty grim in the Seven Kingdoms… He writes “The Winds of Winter”, the sixth book from the cycle of novels, “A Song of Ice and Fire”. Work on this work began about eight years ago. The book is expected to be completed in 2020.
Another Martin, the leader of the Coldplay group – Chris is also sitting at home because of the coronavirus pandemic. But quarantine is not a reason not to give concerts. Therefore, Martin, armed with an acoustic guitar and piano, broadcasted on Instagram. He performed such Coldplay songs as “Green Eyes”, “Yellow”, “Viva La Vida” and a cover of David Bowie's “Life on Mars”. After his live stream, John Legend decided to do a similar online concert for fans.
The broadcast was part of the “Together, at Home” campaign launched by the World Health Organization and the Global Citizen charity festival. This is part of a charity campaign to raise funds to fight the coronavirus.

Well-known British singer Robbie Williams has joined the list of artists who support fans through online concerts. The 46-year-old singer went live on Instagram, which lasted an entire hour. Followers could enjoy their favorite songs and listen to useful tips from an idol. Robbie called this performance “Coronaoke”.

One more cute story is about Josh Gad, known as Olaf from “Frozen”. During quarantine, every night he starts a live broadcast on Twitter, where he reads children's books. “Since we're all stuck at home right now, I figured we would have a little fun together,” said the actor. He has read books including, “Olivia Goes to Venice”, “The Day the Crayons Quit”, “The Giving Tree”, “If I Ran the Circus” and “The 3 Little Pigs”.
Follow the advice of experts, take care of each other and be on a positive wave. 😊

1. What do you think about such campaigns as “Together, at Home” or any other free entertainment during quarantine?
2. How you are spending your free time while sitting at home?
3. Are you waiting for the continuation of a series of books “A Song of Ice and Fire” by George Martin or any other series of books (films, the season of the series, games)?

1. I do think it’s a good idea. In my opinion it helps people to see, that they are not the only ones imprisoned in their houses and apartments, so they shouldn’t dwell on their situation. Plus, it’s a nice way to spend this “free time” as you called it. It’s something a bit different and yet entertaining. Maybe it’s harder to cope with that situation when you have kids, or live in a small apartment, but I think that this form of campaigns is a good way to break away from this sad reality.

2. I wouldn’t say that we are having free time right now. We still have to do our university assignments. If it’s possible – we still have to work manually. I do work a bit for two animating companies, I’m writing my master’s thesis to get it over with and I try to arrange everything connected with my art/animation career.

3. No, I don’t. I am not a fan of George Martin’s stories (I have seen one or two seasons of “Game of Thrones” but I guess it’s just not for me), so I’m not waiting for his book. I’m also not waiting for any other series of anything. I have plenty of independent books and movies on my list, so I will be concentrating on them during my “free time”
1. I think that #stayhome campaigns are very important. They make people aware of the threat of coronavirus. Thanks to these campaigns, we are more aware and have a direct and indirect impact on what will happen in the world and in Poland in the coming days.

2. To be honest, I don't have free time, even during quarantine. I work and study, of course remotely. Thanks to the fact that I save time on commuting to and from work and university (about two hours) I can devote them to myself - developing.

3. Unfortunately, I don't read books, I prefer to watch movies and series, although recently I don't have time to watch them. However, the most I'm waiting for the continuation of the series la casa de papel - the 4th season, which will premiere probably April 4.

1. I believe that such campaigns are most needed. By spreading information about the danger of coronavirus, people are aware of it. In addition, it is worth to mention that this campaign raises funds for the needy. Great idea!

2. Unfortunately, I don't have free time due to quarantine. Paradoxically, according to the fact that I'm sitting at home, I work more and learn. There are also responsibilities for taking care of the family like shopping. I am the least vulnerable to the virus due to my age so also I am going out with dog four times a day.

3. No, I don't like Georg Martin and I'm not waiting for anything related to him.
Anastasiia Bida said…
Thank you for your feedback. I wish you a good luck with your art and animation career!

Thank you for the comment. I have never heard about La casa de Papel series. I've watched the Spanish series just once. Did you watch it in Spanish?
Anastasiia Bida said…
Ok, but what about any other series of books, films, the season of the series, games?
Bartosz Barnat said…
1. I didn't even know about this campaign. I don't really follow a lot of people on instagram and to be honest I try to avoid it as much as possible because we are really wasting a lot of time on it. For some people this type of entertainment is essential I guess so I don't mind celebrities that show what they are doing at home.

2. Working, studying, playing computer games, spending time with my family and read books. Typical stuff.

3. I didn't read his books but I'm planning to do it in the future. I'm waiting for few series like The Witcher s2, Suits, Le casa de papel and so on. Oh and Cyberpunk game ;)
1. Making people aware of the threat and telling them to stay home is very important and needed, but I must say that I don’t understand the problem with staying at home. I could play computer games all day and night, if I didn’t need to sleep and work. There are free online museum tours, concerts and so on – would all those people go to the real museum, or concert if there was no quarantine? No, of course not, because majority of people don’t do such things on a daily basis. We get up, go to work, work, go back home. For those who didn’t lose their jobs it is still the case. The only problem I see is that we can’t meet and drink beer together, but we can do this on a video call.

2. Like I said in the previous point, I would play computer games, but instead I have to work (I did not lose my job fortunately), do exercises they give us here at our university and write the master’s thesis. Apart from working from home instead of the office, literally nothing has changed for me. Going crazy because of staying at home is beyond my reach of understanding.

3. No, not really. I will watch the next season of stranger things, black mirror, or mr. Robot, but I don’t wait for them impatiently.
1. I think that's a good idea. Stars encourage people to stay at home. I know it's very hard because when I look outside the window and I see great weather, I want to leave myself. However, I know it's dangerous - my mental health is poor. Such actions show that the problem concerns ALL PEOPLE without any exceptions.

2. Free time? I honestly don't have free time, I have so many responsibilities that I work almost all the time, or I'm studying or writing my master's thesis. I won't say, it annoys me a lot.

3. Unfortunately, I do not know the work of this author. Perhaps someday I'll get to know the book series "A Song of Ice and Fire". As I said, I don't have much free time right now.
Anastasiia Bida said…
Now I’m reading the first book "A Game of Thrones" and I like it, I think you will enjoy it too. I also hope that the ending of the books will be more exciting than the ending of the series.
Anastasiia Bida said…
I completely agree with you that in the era of the Internet, sitting at home is very easy. Moreover, many platforms now provide free content and there are many offers with free delivery of anything.
Oh, I am also waiting for the next season of Stranger Things :)
Anastasiia Bida said…
Yes, now we must be more careful and take care of our health.
This is great that you are not annoyed by your responsibilities, so you are on the right track.
1. I think it is good for everybody to organize such campaigns. When it comes to me, I know what to do and how can I do something safely, but many people are not interested in current news and don't know about good practices. It seems that celebrities are people who are responsible for telling people what to do. This is what I also find dumb because it simply shows that people cannot think on their own. Anyway, it is better to follow good examples than bad ones.

2. It is a question that I already asked in my blog post here: https://konwersatorium1-ms-pjwstk.blogspot.com/2020/03/week-4-2303-29032020-ideas-that-will.html
But since I was an author, I did not have a possibility to answer it :D
It did not change much in my life. I could already work from home and now it is even more comfortable for me to not have to go to university. I also have more time for self-development and reading books.

3. No, I am not waiting for any continuations as the books I read are usually biographies or ones that I could learn something from. I don't watch any series because they consume too much time. I have my own life which is the best series ;)
Viktor Ryś said…
1.
It's good, no doubt about that. People should have something in return for making them stay at home, which some people love to do, but others are bored to death at the mere idea of not going out somewhere. This kind of entertainment is of not only good for the viewers that are staying at home, but also it makes the entertainment industry which is in big crisis due to the events still have some work.

2.
Unfortunately I don't have much free time even in this quarantine period, so it's mostly work and university for me. When I get some free time I surf the internet, listen to some music or talk to my friends via internet.

3.
George Martin or any other series of books (films, the season of the series, games)?
I haven't read any Georege Martin book nor watched Game Of Thrones, so I'm not really anticipating something from that author. I wait however for the premiere of Cyberpunk 2077.
1. I think it’s good that there are such campaigns and a content is made for people who like it.
I also think that it might be good for human morale.
2. I try to learn things for school and find new hobbies. For example I started baking bread and I’m also going to make homemade pizza.
3. Yes I am, I want to know the differences from the tv series. Right now I’m not waiting for anything because Westworld is here, but I heard that production of many series is stopped and postponed after the epidemic.
Anastasiia Bida said…
I agree with your opinion that people cannot think on their own. Especially in unusual situations, such as is happening now. Even though the information is accessible to everyone, often some people still need an authoritative opinion to make decisions.
And what is your favorite biography book?
Anastasiia Bida said…
Yeah, this is probably a difficult period for people of extroverts who are used to spending all day outside the house and communicate a lot with people live.
I'm not a fan of video games, but I heard a lot about Cyberpunk and watched the trailer, and I think it should be a very cool game.
Anastasiia Bida said…
Thank you for your answers.
Oh, baking bread is sooo tasty... And usually, in our family, it disappears very quickly. We even try to make bread not often to save our form.
I also hope that the ending of the books will be different from the series.

1. What do you think about such campaigns as “Together, at Home” or any other free entertainment during quarantine?
I don't think we need this action. We can't stop the coronavirus outbreak. However, with responsible actions we can make sure that the rate of increase of the disease will not be extremely high, which will make the Polish health service remain efficient and help thousands of seriously ill people. This has been achieved in several countries around the world. If it is not the case in Poland, the Italian scenario awaits us.
2. How you are spending your free time while sitting at home?
I spend my free time segregating old clothes. I painted the basement. I read a lot of books.
3. Are you waiting for the continuation of a series of books “A Song of Ice and Fire” by George Martin or any other series of books (films, the season of the series, games)?
I've never read Martin's books. Although I like fantasy, I have never been interested in books like the game of the throne. I like Sanderson's books much more. To answer the question: I don't wait.

1. If we literally shut down everything for 2-3 weeks then situation would look much better than it is now. So encouraging people to stay in home as much as possible is a good idea. Nowadays celebrities more or less have some influence on big masses of people so it's a nice idea that they give example for others. We can't compare everybody lives though. Such celebrities have a comfort of being able to stay in those homes and do literally nothing. There are people who can't though. If we include this fact, then such attitude is even more praise worthy, because instead of complaining about whole situation like lots of our Polish 'celebrities', they at least encourage those who can to stay safe.

2. It didn't change a lot since last time it was asked around there :). Still mostly watching TV series, playing board/video games and browsing internet.

3. I'm not a big fan of books, so not really. One day I might even buy this book for bookshelf though, because I own whole series, just never read it. It will be sad if I'll be missing one. When it comes to films and series, there's nothing interesting lately, and I'd rather watch something old than new, so the answer is also 'no'.
1. I think these are great ideas. You can see that this situation affects everyone - not just ordinary people but also actors, singers, athletes. By transferring some of their artists' work to the internet, they get closer to their fans.

2. I usually read books, watch movies and meet friends at a conference call. Last weekend, however, I found a YouTube channel of one of the Polish theaters where performative readings are available - a fantastic discovery. Not only makes my time more pleasant during everyday activities, but also encourages me to go to the theater whenever possible.

3. I look forward to the premiere of the next season of the La dasa de papel series, which will be in April.

. What do you think about such campaigns as “Together, at Home” or any other free entertainment during quarantine?
I think this is a very good campaign, it is very nice that there are artists who still want to give concerts online, make people happy in these dfficult times. I am just proud of such people.
2. How you are spending your free time while sitting at home?
Most of people say they got a lot of free time, however it is not about me. seems like I got mre things to do that I had before the quarantine: online work, studies, almost no free time. I planned to watch a lot of serials/movies, read books, however my plans probably won`t materialize. Hopefully, this weekend I will read my detective, which I started reading a week ago and left.
3. Are you waiting for the continuation of a series of books “A Song of Ice and Fire” by George Martin or any other series of books (films, the season of the series, games)?
I have never read his books. After you advised I will probably read it once I have a free time. Thanks:)
1. What do you think about such campaigns as “Together, at Home” or any other free entertainment during quarantine?
I think is one of the best possible campaigns #stayathome, it is so important to limit contact with people to minimum. I also stay at home, with online concerts by my favorite artists this time would be much better. I admire them for actions like this. Great job!

2. How you are spending your free time while sitting at home?
I am trying to spend this time with my family, because normally we don’t see each other that much. On the other hand I like to spend it on my own, with good tv series or book. Every Friday I am talking with my friends on video chat. I am trying to live as normal as it possible.

3. Are you waiting for the continuation of a series of books “A Song of Ice and Fire” by George Martin or any other series of books (films, the season of the series, games)?
Not really, I have never read his book, but I watched the Game of Thrones, but it is the same I would not like to continue this series. I like how it ends.

Thank you for your answers!
I also watched GoT, but I decided to read books because I want to know another ending of this story.
Hello, here are my replies to your questions!

1. Everyone, please #stayathome!!! I think that this campaign is extremely important for all of us and it will only help us to get through this difficult time faster. By not leaving houses we are helping with stopping the pandemic and we'll also protecting those who may be killed by the virus. Use this time to spend more time with your families because we never know when the world will end.

2. I have started designing my own video game together with my friends. I am also learning how to properly use the Unreal Engine. And of course, I also play video games but I also kept my job since I was a programming teacher and we just work in the online mode now.

3. Of course that I am waiting for “A Song of Ice and Fire” by George Martin but I highly doubt that it will come out this year. Knowing how lazy Martin got with writing, I am sure that he'll probably die before releasing the last book from that series. That would be absolutely crushing for me, since I hated the last season of the show and I really count on having a different ending of the saga in the last book.

1. What do you think about such campaigns as “Together, at Home” or any other free entertainment during quarantine?

A fantastic thing! Without such a campaign it would be hard to endure at home. When I know that others are sitting too, it's much easier. That's how I would think others are playing outside I'm sitting at home. Yes, we are all sitting at home! A great idea!

2. How you are spending your free time while sitting at home?

I read, work, clean, cook. I have time for things I can't normally do. I miss the opportunity to go to the store and buy e.g. lemongrass or red curry but well ... you have to endure!

3. Are you waiting for the continuation of a series of books “A Song of Ice and Fire” by George Martin or any other series of books (films, the season of the series, games)?

Whether it's quarantine or not, if I'm starting to read or watch something, I'm waiting for the rest. So yes, I'm waiting for the rest of the books I read and the movies I watch, e.g. another Nesbo books.
1. What do you think about such campaigns as “Together, at Home” or any other free entertainment during quarantine?
It is a very cool idea. For everyone of us it is a very hard time and making it a little more fun or enjoying makes us forget about these horror.
2. How you are spending your free time while sitting at home?
I have home office and e-learning which takes me over 10 hours per day of work. So after all there is no much time left for me to do other things because I'm tired.
3. Are you waiting for the continuation of a series of books “A Song of Ice and Fire” by George Martin or any other series of books (films, the season of the series, games)?
Yes, I'm waiting for another 2 books but to be honest I don't see them comming soon even because of the quarantine.

1. I think it's very good idea. Current situation is so challenging for everyone and any concept that would hel us survive through this is helpful.

2. Last month was so tense for me, during free time I was too exhausted to do anything except for just existing. I have home office and e-learning, which takes sometimes even 12 hrs per day.

3. NO. I really don't understand all this fuss about G.Martin's books. For me whole concept is not that much intresting, but maybe I'm wrong. During quarantine I'm trying to focus on my career and education and currently I'm just waiting for polish version of last book in the Arc of a Scythe by N. Shusterman

1. I believe it's a great idea. It encourages a lot of people to stay home, which is necessary in a time like this.

2. I'm trying to learn new skills, and i also play video games i wanted to play for a long time, but didn't had the time to do so.

3. I'm not waiting for continuation of George Martin's saga, but I'm waiting for Rick Riordan's final entry in the "The Trials of Apollo" saga.
1 / This is a great idea and a very good practice, in my opinion. Since it makes it possible to create conditions for the safety of others and also not to forget why we all do this.
2 / Usually this is either work on projects or the long-awaited vacation and care of household chores. As well as home entertainment ... So to speak, preparing home-made popcorn and a home cinematologist in bed at a laptop.
3 / I am not particularly keen on this series of books and series, so I do not expect their release: D

Yes, I am also skeptical about the release date of “A Song of Ice and Fire”, as it has already been postponed several times.
1. What do you think about such campaigns as “Together, at Home” or any other free entertainment during quarantine?
I think its a great idea to show people what they can do in home in pandemic time. Thanks to this campaigs many people stay at home. Thanks to webcams we can see many places normally not available for tourists. We can learn with stars and listen to theirs made in home music.

2. How you are spending your free time while sitting at home?
In pandemic time I spend a lot free time working on my PhD. In some days I communicate with students and run remote lessons. After work I like play pc games or liten to music. I don’t have much free time for entertainment.

3. Are you waiting for the continuation of a series of books “A Song of Ice and Fire” by George Martin or any other series of books (films, the season of the series, games)?
I don’t waiting for any continuations. I don't have time for that. Maybe after PhD I will have time for this entertainment.

1. I think all "celebrities" have big amount of needs to humans attentions. If someone like to participate in it, thats fine. But when I watch some tv and see concert for everyone, with big caption "Celebrities For Nation". It's make me laughting, becuse there is no quality there. Only some falling or no-name stars show.

2. As alawys. The internet is really big place with a lot of knowladge. Advatnage of no commute every morning give me more time to learn.

3. If HBO promise not to squeeze his work again. But now it's really easy to make money from some brands in movie. The only you needs it's money. You can go and buy some rights to old cool movies which story has ended. Next a few actors, but we want to cheap movie, that we choose to no-names. Then poor story based on previous episode and we have a lot of money from lovers.

1. I think that it is very useful because it serves WHO. It is a very strange situation that people all over the world are stuck in their homes. I think this kind of campaings help people that are most lonely at this time. For many of them it is a real problem that can lead to longer-term consequences.

2. I still have a lot of work to do so most of the time I am working. If I have some free time I practice yoga, watch movies or read books.

3. I don't really know George Martin's work. I'm not a fan of the Game of thrones.
1. I think it is heartwarming watching all those people take part in such campaigns. Personally, I don't watch celebrities on social media, nevertheless, I like the initiative.

2. I'm better now, I had troubles to build up a working schedule and ended up wasting lots of time, but I'm back on track now. I'm doing lots of projects and follow up tutorials to all those things I never had enough time for, so I'm productive. When I'm relaxing I have the best game ever to play: Half-Life Alyx. It's a VR game that has tons of interaction. For example, in the first scene, there is a window and some markers and you can actually draw on it. It is truly amazing! The only thing I lack is some movement... I tried to jump a rope indoors but the ceiling is too low and I ended up hitting it few times (there are marks now :( ). I hope I will find some exercise that I both like and can perform at home because if not I will freak out soon.

3. I haven't read the books yet, but maybe it is a good time now? I am waiting for Cyberpunk 2077. It was supposed to come out this spring but they are not ready yet and prolonged the date for the autumn... I understand that they want to make the best game possible so they need this time but I'd like to play it already!
1. From the biological point of view, the meaning of life is to reproduce and die. From my point of view, I still don’t know what I want or expect from life. Maybe I do one day.

1.It's nice that people want to help each other survive and stay sane in such a crazy time. I don't follow any celebrities but their initative is nice. Anything that will keep people in their homes is useful and very important.

2.I study and work a lot - that takes up most of my days. In my free time I ride my bike, cook a little and spend time with my family and girlfriend. When I have 20 minutes to spare I like to put on one episode of The Office - i'm watching it for the first time and it's very funny.

3.I stopped reading books beacause I rarely have the time now. I also don't watch many shows or movies but I would really like to see more episodes of Our Planet - it's a really good documentary about nature. There's only one season with 10 episodes so I'm waiting for more.

1. I think it's a very good idea to make a mistake. We have never been in such a situation and it is new and often very difficult for everyone. We have to support each other, or we won't make it through.

2. I don't have a lot of free time, because I work and study remotely, but at the same time, I exercise, cook and play board games.

3. AI'm not waiting for the continuation of any book or series, because unfortunately, I don't read at the moment and I'm trying not to watch too much TV series.
1. What do you think about such campaigns as “Together, at Home” or any other free entertainment during quarantine?

I think this is good for everyone. This is also ocasion for people/companies to make a lot of money. For example nike did application to train in home and they are earning a lot of money on this. Anyway it is good to see this kind of campaigns because it will be over faster than normal and less people will be hurt.

2. How you are spending your free time while sitting at home?

I spend like 16 hours or more in front of the computer. At 6AM i am jogging then i have to work or take part on some lectures and after this i am doing some other projects or unfortunately i again started to play counter strike global ofensive. In last days i also decided to go back to diet so after quarantine i will be boar. :)

3. Are you waiting for the continuation of a series of books “A Song of Ice and Fire” by George Martin or any other series of books (films, the season of the series, games)?

Not really. I was fan of the movie only but this will be next series with the other actors and it will not be the same.

1. What do you think about such campaigns as “Together, at Home” or any other free entertainment during quarantine?
I think and I know that #stayathome campaigns are very important for us now. In this period of pandemia it is crucial to apply isolation into our lives. We should know and be aware of the threat of coronavirus.

2. How you are spending your free time while sitting at home?
Actually I took strategy to limit my free time to even 0. I usually work overtime and have classes at evenings. I also set some goals to finish few online course and I am trying to cycle everyday. In my free time I chill out with my sisters and parents.

3. Are you waiting for the continuation of a series of books “A Song of Ice and Fire” by George Martin or any other series of books (films, the season of the series, games)?
Unfortunately, I don't read this kind of books.
1. What do you think about such campaigns as “Together, at Home” or any other free entertainment during quarantine?
I think they are much needed. People must understand that coronavirus is very dangerous and leaving home for no reason is very dangerous. Public figures definitely help normal people to understand this fact.
2. How you are spending your free time while sitting at home?
Mostly working remotly, also playing games, talking with people, watching movies/tv series and of course learning and making projects for university.

1. What do you think about such campaigns as “Together, at Home” or any other free entertainment during quarantine?
I highly appreciate it. One might say it's just money-grab/marketing technique but I tend to believe there is a bit of soul and compassion in it.
2. How you are spending your free time while sitting at home?
Mostly playing video games and watching movies. Honestly, quarantine didn't change much in my life.
3. Are you waiting for the continuation of a series of books “A Song of Ice and Fire” by George Martin or any other series of books (films, the season of the series, games)?
I'm not a fan of "Game of thrones" book/tv series or ony other fantasy world. Sci-fi is my thing and I would love to see next episode of mass-effect. As bioware completely closed their single-player development section there is little to no chance of it happening. What a bummer!!

1. I think that this this kind of campaigns are great way to help people handle current situation. Not everyone can deal with the fact that we have to stay locked at home for no one knows how long a no one knows how it will affect our future. This kind of live concerts from home or book readings are really helpful to se how others maintain the situation and to simply think of something else even if for an hour.

2. Actually, I have les free time now as I’m working on home office because of amount of work I had in past two weeks.

But as it comes to the actual free time… well after cleaning whole house (to many times) there’s still watching all the movies on Netflix and reading all the books that have been waiting in the bookshelf.

3. I haven’t read the series yet, but it is on my to read list.

1. I think it's a very nice initiative. The times we live in now are very strange and difficult, which is why we have to manage somehow. Artists who sit in quarantine, or just sit for safety, miss the audience for the opportunity to share what they do best. Fans are also very eager to watch this type of relation because they miss their idols and the opportunity to meet them. I think it's very positive and a good way to quarantine. I am also pleased that such isolation can positively influence the creative inspiration of directors and book authors, which may soon bring very good results.
2. When I sit at home, I do things that I haven't had too much time for before, that is: I read books, renewed my online contacts with friends and also catch up on TV series and movies. I am currently at the stage of watching the long-awaited 4th season of the "House of Paper".
3. Absolutely. I didn't read these books, but I watched all seasons of Game of Thrones with bated breath and I'm a fan of this series. It is true that the last episode disappointed me so I would be very happy if it turned out that there will be a continuation in the form of a book, which they will later screen.
1.I think it is definitely a good campaign. All of us should support it and stay at home to stop virus spreading. I think it is good time to realise what is really important for you, such as spending time with your family or get to know your friend or partner, maybe read a book that you planned a long time ago. I enjoy my time now.
2. During this time I found a really good friend, she is my neighboor but because of lack of time we didnt have an opportunity to talk a lot, but now we do.
My usual daily routines are cooking eating and sleeping
3. No I am not waiting because I watched this TV-series and I was really disappointed by last part. So I think it is better to not expect anything good from these guys so that's why I am out of it now.

1. I think it's a brilliant idea to use these peoples fame to promote such activities. Many people identify themselves with such a people so it could be a good way to convince them to stay at home and do some interesting activities. Every way to keep people home is good today.

2. I mainly spend my free coronavirus time in front of the computer but I also leave home from time to time as I live in a countryside and I have quite a big garden. Last weekend I spent on carrying branches that we cut of our apple trees.

3. To be honest I've never read any of the books from the series and I weren't interested in them. Therefore, I don't wait for the continuation.

It's very nice that they are doing stuff like this for their fans.
2.
Everything is basically the same, except I don't leave the house.
3.
I've been waiting for this series, "A Song of Ice and Fire" for too long, so now I kind of don't care.

1. Excellent try to prevent people from reckless behavior. Also, it’s easier to stay at home when we see authorities, doing the same.
2. I work much harder, learn much more and last, the most important- spend time with my family. Another good point is that I sleep more and healthier, also reading more books.
3. Of course! When the GoT series ended (in such a disappointing way) I have felt a huge gap in my word of excellent fantasy stories. So that’s a piece of great news :)
1. I think this form is very cool because people feels supported by other people and is not bored because they have fun proposed
2. I spend most of my time at home playing games, in addition I work from home because of quarantine and do university projects
3. I am currently waiting for continuation of several series: dark, house of paper and game dying light 2

1. What do you think about such campaigns as “Together, at Home” or any other free entertainment during quarantine?

Generally I look at them positively. But I also like when people in close community organize something for themselves. For example, my nephew organized a “disco party” at his balcony. He put there a huge banner stating that he was going to play some music and he invites all he’s neighbors to join him at their balconies. The final effect was really cool as he gathered quite a lot people there one evening.

2. How you are spending your free time while sitting at home?

In my free time I usually read some stuff like books or blogs. I am also in the middle of an Udemy course. Apart from those I cook a lot what I really enjoy doing.

3. Are you waiting for the continuation of a series of books “A Song of Ice and Fire” by
George Martin or any other series of books (films, the season of the series, games)?

I don’t really have my favorite book series. I generally read what lands in my hands or someone recommends me. When it comes to tv series, I know that 4th season of La Casa De Papel has been released lately but I haven’t watched it yet. But I really enjoyed watching previous seasons.

I think this is a really good idea. If people who have a large number of subscribers on the network or if they are celebrities and they use their fame for the benefit of society, then this is great. Everyone should recognize the importance of the measures to be taken at a similar time around the world. If there are people who can explain this in an accessible and unusual way by organizing such campaigns on the network, then I can only support such people.

2. How you are spending your free time while sitting at home?
As usual, just more time for household chores. There are still many different responsibilities. Therefore, I especially do not feel that I spend more free time. Although a little bit more time to read something before bedtime.

3. Are you waiting for the continuation of a series of books “A Song of Ice and Fire” by George Martin or any other series of books (films, the season of the series, games)?
I have not watched this series yet. But in the future I plan to do it. Although in general, the development of events I already know for the most part, since there are many people around him interested in it. Unfortunately, my favorite authors no longer have the opportunity to write and submit to us their works, since they are not with us. But I hope that in the near future I will find something new for myself.

1. I think free entertainment is always nice and I would encourage every person that wants to provide it.

2. Mainly in front of my computer, I'm using my last free days before I have to go to work by chilling and doing basically nothing. I watch YouTube, play some games and talk to my girlfriend. Definitely, I'm in the kind of group that enjoys spending time in home, so the quarantine wasn't harsh on me.

3. Yes, I am. "A song of Ice and Fire" is one of the best book series I have ever read and it accompanied me through whole my life. Moreover, I was really dissatisfied with the Tv show's ending, so I hope George Martin can do justice to it.

The campaign is important to raise awareness about need to stay home not to let the virus spread.

2. How you are spending your free time while sitting at home?
I watch some movies and TV series, I read, I play with my daughter.

3. Are you waiting for the continuation of a series of books “A Song of Ice and Fire” by George Martin or any other series of books (films, the season of the series, games)?
I am not. Maybe some day I will start to read this series as it is said to be worth it.
1. What do you think about such campaigns as “Together, at Home” or any other free entertainment during quarantine?
I think any activities that can help us survive these tough times are good. It's important to keep people inside their houses, and this campaign certainly helps the cause,.
2. How you are spending your free time while sitting at home?
Sadly, I don't have much free time lately, but it makes the quarantine a little bit easier to cope with. When I have free time I spend time with either my family or my roommates, depending on where I am at the moment. I like to play video games and watching movies and read a book sometime.
3. Are you waiting for the continuation of a series of books “A Song of Ice and Fire” by George Martin or any other series of books (films, the season of the series, games)?
Yes, I am waiting. Especially after this horrible, joke of a season 8. D&D ruined the series finale, even the actors didn't try to hide it too hard.

Week 12 (12.01-18.01.15) Are you an early bird or a night owl ?

Owls are nocturnal creatures. They’re wide awake at night and they sleep during the day. If this sounds like bliss to you, then, like about 20 percent of the population who find themselves most active at around 9 pm, you may fall into the same category as our feathered friend. Night owls often have difficulty waking up in the morning, and like to be up late at night.  Studies of animal behaviour indicate that being a night owl may actually be built into some people’s genes. This would explain why those late-to-bed, late-to-rise people find it so difficult to change their behaviour. The trouble for night owls is that they just have to be at places such as work and school far too early. This is when the alarm clock becomes the night owl’s most important survival tool. Experts say that one way for a night owl to beat their dependence on their alarm clocks is to sleep with the curtains open. The Theory is that if they do so, the morning sunlight will awaken them gently and natura...

Week 11 [03-09.06.2019] The problem with ecological cars emission in UK

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form. These can be particles of sea salt, clouds from the Sahara and artificial compounds made by people. These compounds...
