Week 11 [03-09.06.2019] The tenth dimension

As you all know, we live in a three-dimensional world, but have you ever imagined what the fifth or even tenth dimension looks like? Maybe this video will help you answer that question.

So my questions are:
Are you interested in such issues?
Did you like physics in school :D?
Does this representation of the 10 dimensions satisfy your curiosity?

1. Yes it is really interesting and hoestly I didn't think about that a lot. It's nice to see someone explaining the whole idea of dimensions so fluently.

2. I like physics right now and even though I had some problems with it in school I still think it was really cool and interesing.

3. Well I have even more questions after seeing this video as I suppose every other person would have ;). But it satisfied some of my curiosisty.
Are you interested in such issues?
Sometimes I like to watch or read about things like this, but I wouldn't say I'm interested in it. It appears worthwile, but it's not totally for me.
Did you like physics in school :D?
I liked physics in school, but I was very bad in it... I think it helps us understand world around us and it's crucial to expand our knowledge about just everything.
Does this representation of the 10 dimensions satisfy your curiosity?
It's a new issue for me, so after watching it I would like to discuss it with someone, who is an expert in it. Talking with someone make it easier to understand things.
1. Are you interested in such issues?
Of course! This topic is not a stranger to me and I have been returning many times to the theories cited to you.
I remember how long ago I became interested in multidimensionality for the first time. So far, I have learned theories about views to the twentieth dimension.

2. Did you like physics in school :D?
Yes! Even in technical school I had individual teaching and additional classes!

3. Does this representation of the 10 dimensions satisfy your curiosity?
This can never be done :D In order to satisfy curiosity, it would be necessary to exhaust the topic to the end, and it is this film that has caused me the most thoughts and questions for which I have been answering up to now for several years.

I'm interested in these questions, but if you think about it very often, then you can go crazy.

2.Did you like physics in school :D?
I never liked physics, I don't have a mathematical mindset, but I had a very cool teacher at school and you could talk to him about different theories.

3.Does this representation of the 10 dimensions satisfy your curiosity?
I will always have a "why" my curiosity will never please after one question always appears another.

Yes, they can be very exciting

Did you like physics in school :D?
Not really, it consisted of boring excersies.

Does this representation of the 10 dimensions satisfy your curiosity?
And now a little truth:
This video however contains misleading information and should not be considered factual.
The guy who makes this video is a film composer and he is just trying to sell his book.
You should check this video:

The real answer is that human brain simply can't visualise higher dimensional spaces the
way we think about 3d space, we just are not designed to, but we can use algebra to
understand how they work, and analogues with 1,2 or 3d spaces can help with that understanding.
1. Are you interested in such issues?
I would say that i'm interested in this question, but i've never thought a lot about it in my life. I remember that i watched the movie (can't remember name) about it. But i don't think it is truth about fifth or even tenth dimension.
2. Did you like physics in school?
No, just a waste of time. I know basic principles, but i'm pretty sure that i will not use them in my life.
3. Does this representation of the 10 dimensions satisfy your curiosity?
Yes, but as i said, i don't believe in it. I read a lot about it in the past, but still, there are no facts that helps me to believe in it.

Yes, this topic is very interesting. Some time ago I watched a movie on YouTube about the number of dimensions that exist. Interesting that a man can feel so few of them on a daily basis. Although I think that each of us often feels the time dimension.

Yes, I've always liked physics. More that, I passed my matura exam from physics in secondary school. Then I went to a field of study closely related to physics. So it is everyday in my life.

As I mentioned, I've seen a similar film about dimensions that exist in our reality. However, it is good to remember this knowledge. Especially during the session, when I should learn something and not watch movies instead.

Maybe interested is too much to say but sometimes I like to read or watch some interesting videos like that. Especially if it's presented in a understandable, accessible manner.

Did you like physics in school :D?
I liked physics in school despite that I weren't the best in it. But it was always interesting for me how our world works and physics is all about describing mechanics or the universe.

Does this representation of the 10 dimensions satisfy your curiosity?
I agree with other people in the comments section that now I'm wondering about it more than before watching the video.. So definitely it does not satisfy my curiosity and I'm even more curious.
1. Well, I am not a physicist, but such topics are always interesting if they are pictured that way. Almost everybody like popular-science programs and discussing topics like that is a pleasure. After all, for us engineers, such issues are just attractive.

2. I liked physics in the middle school, but after that I had a doubtful pleasure to be taught by a man who segregated people for better and worse and despised official teaching program. We were doing exercises from academic books which were difficult to understand and explained in a way that was far from being interesting. Because of that I was unable to take the physics exam. That’s unfortunate, because physics is generally fascinating, but that man wasted the potential of many of us in the class.

3. Actually no, because I consider higher dimensions as space which we are unable to move through. Just like an ant which doesn’t see the third dimension on the newspaper, we can’t see the fourth dimension. Of course, I am not an expert and I could be wrong, but those theories of parallel universes and time related dimensions sound like something completely different than dimensions of the space. We can describe those dimensions mathematically, but we just can’t visualise them and move along them.
I do not do physics professionally, but I am interested in physics. This is a very interesting video. I have a friend with whom we spend hours and hours talking about space and time and about physics in general. I always liked physics. At school, I could give an answer to any theoretical question, but I had problems with solving tasks. As I understand it, they have in mind, in video, that measurements change by time and choice. There's something about it. But I want to believe that there are other dimensions that exist in parallel, as in science fiction films =)

Actually I'm not. I think that this too theoretical and too complicated for us now, to understand. This concepts is just theories, and cannot be proved or disproved.

Did you like physics in school :D?

I liked it a lot, but I love more real life applications. Everything that can be used to create real life things and have impact on our life or development. I just don't like theories about things that cannot be checked.

Does this representation of the 10 dimensions satisfy your curiosity?

Yes, it did. It's level of hypothesis is outrageous and don't look like anything that can be proved anytime soon.

I haven’t really thought about it but it was worth seeing and the way how it is explained makes me want to read some more about it.

Did you like physics in school :D?

I really enjoyed physics at school, especially in secondary school where I had a fantastic teacher who could explain everything in a funny, understandable way. Later I had some worse teachers but I never really had huge problems with passing the tests.

Does this representation of the 10 dimensions satisfy your curiosity?

As I said in my first answer, it makes me want to explore this topic even more so yeah, it did satisfy me and even exceeded my expectations.
I am kind of interested in this topic. Once while I was browsing internet, i bumped into a coputer game which was based on 4th dimension. I beleive it was called Miegakure. Pretty interesting thing to check out. As to physics, i was not a fan of that. But when i look back now, I am disapointed with myself for not caring much at classes of physics. There are many interesting topic as one you proposed. The representation of the 10 dimensions gave me a much to think about and certainly it poked my part of brain responsible of curiosity. And i am seeking for more.

Yes, I am. This topic is very interesting, from time to time I used to watch videos or read article about it.

I didn’t like physics in school, mostly cause of my teacher.

Not exactly. In my opinion, dimensions are just a thing we made up to measure things, there's no objective way to say how many dimensions the universe has. If we talk about "more than three dimensions," this means this thing is too complicated to describe with three numbers. Spacetime is a common example, but you can use other spaces which describe 4th dimension as well. For example, in database you index with First name, last name, birthdate and occupation.
1. Theoretical physics is fascinating. Visualizing of such issues makes me thrilled. Our perception is limited by exactly three dimensions. Our brains fold into the upper dimension and burn while thinking about such issues.
2. I did, physics is the most fascinating subject. Each answer it gives raises new questions.
3. Visualizing upper dimensions from perspective of 2D creature experiencing invisible for it 3rd dimension is a good example. However, each after 7th seems to be a little bit to abstract.
1. Are you interested in such issues?

To be honest, it is my first time I watched something on this topic, but it looks very interesting, so I think I dive in it more.

2. Did you like physics in school :D?

Yes and no. It was a very interesting subject, which explains a lot about nature, your world and how to live. But after some time it started looking more like uninteresting tasks calculating velocity each time. :(

3. Does this representation of the 10 dimensions satisfy your curiosity?

I would say yes. It was totally right to spend some time on it and discover something new. Thank you for your content.
Are you interested in such issues?
This video was very interesting to watch, but, unfortunately, for me it's very hard to imagine our live in 10 dimensions, it's too abstract, my spatial imagination is too poor :D
Did you like physics in school :D?
I hated physics at school. For me chemistry and biology were much more interesting subjects.
Does this representation of the 10 dimensions satisfy your curiosity?
Dimensions are very abstract unit of measurement. Maybe later somebody could prove such theory, but now it is too fabulous.
I had a similar case with chemistry. I didn't like this subject but I had a super teacher who was doing very cool experiments.
I agree with you that it is impossible for a person who lives in 3D world to imagine the 8th or 9th dimension. But this video presents a relatively friendly representation of other dimensions.
the right approach to explaining a problem is always crucial. Someone can use an ant and paper to explain the dimension, and someone can use vectors.
I know your pain, my high school physics teacher was hopeless too, I had the impression he thought we were morons who wouldn't understand anything anyway, and that was his approach to teaching this subject.

Yes, a very good topic. It was always interesting how the multidimensional space is arranged and everything that can be represented in it. Let it be a theory, but rather interesting.

Did you like physics in school :D?
Yes, physics was one of my favorite subjects. Even today I am very interested in questions of physics, as it turned out that this science can be studied endlessly, and there simply isn’t enough school time to form a complete picture of the world thanks to this subject.

Does this representation of the 10 dimensions satisfy your curiosity?
Not really. But this is a good attempt, and I really appreciate the work in this direction. It just seems to me that the human brain is not designed to present a real picture of multidimensional spaces. These are transcendental things that do not fit in the human head.

yea, it is like breaking second barrier, and then breaking another barriers which are on way to innovation ! :D

Did you like physics in school :D?

i love phisics in school becouse after that lessons i was surfing web to get more information about phenomeon of life

Does this representation of the 10 dimensions satisfy your curiosity?

i think that we need a study of 4 dimensions and then looking after next!
. Are you interested in such issues?
It never interested me, especially when I had physics lessons it was a completely uninteresting topic for me

2. Did you like physics in school :D?
NOOOO , I just hate it

3. Does this representation of the 10 dimensions satisfy your curiosity?
Hm ..... I think that the answer to this question is impossible, I think that I don't have enough knowledge to make a constructive statement on this topic

Week 11 [03-09.06.2019] The problem with ecological cars emission in UK

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form. These can be particles of sea salt, clouds from the Sahara and artificial compounds made by people. These compounds often come fr

Week 12 (12.01-18.01.15) Are you an early bird or a night owl ?

Owls are nocturnal creatures. They’re wide awake at night and they sleep during the day. If this sounds like bliss to you, then, like about 20 percent of the population who find themselves most active at around 9 pm, you may fall into the same category as our feathered friend. Night owls often have difficulty waking up in the morning, and like to be up late at night.  Studies of animal behaviour indicate that being a night owl may actually be built into some people’s genes. This would explain why those late-to-bed, late-to-rise people find it so difficult to change their behaviour. The trouble for night owls is that they just have to be at places such as work and school far too early. This is when the alarm clock becomes the night owl’s most important survival tool. Experts say that one way for a night owl to beat their dependence on their alarm clocks is to sleep with the curtains open. The Theory is that if they do so, the morning sunlight will awaken them gently and naturally.

Week 4 [06-12.11.2017] This is what happens when you reply to spam email.

James Veitch is a British comedian. In today’s Ted Talk James with characteristic for himself a sense of humor shows how he deals with spam emails and why responding to junk messages may be sometimes dangerous. Questions: What do you think about James’s  way of dealing with spam? Why are junk messages legal, even though it sometimes may be a fraud? Dou you have a problem with spam? How do you deal with with it?
