Week 12- Esport

I am a huge fan of computer games. Even though I have my job, my friend and some other stuff to do I am trying to play a little bit every day. But there are some people who decided to make their passion for computer games their job and that way they have become professional esport players.
A few years ago such a phrase like “professional esport player” would rose only a lot of laughs, but not now. Why? Esport is getting bigger and bigger every year. Let’s have a look at Twitch. Every day a lot (I mean really) a lot of people are playing games and streams their play to the platform and even more people are watching them, how they play games and what the do. Streamers are becoming more and more popular and where is popularity,  there is money. Nowadays being a successful streamer with a thousand or even millions of subscribers means that you could live our lives as you wish.
There is also another group of people. The professionals. People who signed contracts with esport organization and work for them and play for their teams. It is very similar to football or other sport. If you play really good, have a feeling of the game and know what to do they are searched by the organization head hunters and quickly became professionals.
For example in the US by the 2021 esport will have had more viewers than every other sports league but NFL.

I think it is an enormous growth, which could change the way we understand and perceive this industry.
What is also very interesting here are statistics about the prize pools by events for 2018:

It looks like esport is growing every year and after some time it will be more popular than traditional sport.

Questions:
What do you think about esport?
Do you play any video games? If yes, which ones and why?
Have you ever wondered if you should play video games professionally?

What do you think about esport?

I'm really interested in esport and I'm glad that it's finally a thing and even people who don't play video games know what it is. I think that it's the same sport as football etc.

Do you play any video games? If yes, which ones and why?

Yes I play League of legends, recently days gone, mortal kombat, world of warcraft and so on. Why? Because I'm good at it.

Have you ever wondered if you should play video games professionally?

Yes I wondered quite some time about it but I don't see myself playing computer games my whole life. There are better things to do than playing computer games and accomplish nothing tbh.
1. What do you think about esport?
Esport ... this is something I had contact with before it started to be called that. Honestly? When I got to know the whole process, when I met people related to it, how it looks, how it works, for 2 years, when I do not have contact with the eport and YouTube market, I feel better :) Of course, this is an interesting phenomenon and field, but I do not consider it a real sport, and many things related to it are made for the show, for publicity in the media.

2. Do you play any video games? If yes, which ones and why?
No, as I have said many times during this course - I do not play games, sometimes only some simple platform games for a while, but generally I do not play and it is good for me.

3. Have you ever wondered if you should play video games professionally?
Yes, and my answer is obvious - I do not. I know a few people who could deal with it, but they have a real view of the world, that it is better to do something useful, something that meets them, something that can influence - even if what they do is in the virtual world.

1. What do you think about esport?
Nowadays playing video games is very popular even with adults. It’s a kind of entertainment and I understand why people like it. But it also requires reasonableness because long lasting playing can cause addiction and health problems.

2. Do you play any video games? If yes, which ones and why?
I used to. Presently studying and working take me a long time but I still think that video games are a good way to relax after a hard day. Sometimes I play some games but I don’t play any computer game regularly.

3. Have you ever wondered if you should play video games professionally?
Despite the fact that playing computer games can be very enjoyable and fun, doing it professionally is not that easy. It requires spending many hours in front of the computer, even if you sometimes don’t want it. You have to train a lot to be a good e-sport player because otherwise you won’t earn many. If you are a person who love computer games and competition, you could consider e-sport player career. However, I don’t think it’s something for me.

ESports is also a job, there is also a need to come up with strategies, to train, it takes a lot of time.

Do you play any video games? If yes, which ones and why?
I used to give a lot, unfortunately now is not much time. I can't finish the passage of the Detroit Human become half of the year Shadow of the tomb raider, Oh wait still a lot of firsts, Cyberpunde, Death stranding. They waited a very long time and should be a very good story.

Have you ever wondered if you should play video games professionally?
Perhaps all this thought was, but if you look, really only a few fall into eSports.
In a couple of years, everybody will have no choice other than accept e-sports as an actual sport. It bears no differences from chess, table tennis, or poker. It requires the same traits -- physical reaction, quick thinking, tactics, ans so on, and so on.

I used to be a professional DoTa player, with my friends I won home championship in my city. But that is the biggest achievement I got in this field, switching from playing to actual developing later on.
Well, esport is something i don't really care. I like to watch it sometimes but thats all. I have watched some CSGO and Lol games but i never really played CS, i never liked its mechanics. Lol, yeah i am playing it sometimes but im less and less satisfied each day. I never thought about playing proffesionaly as i never felt im good enough lol. I'm playing just for fun. Sure i like games and i wouldn't mind beeing pro player if i had skills required. Salaries are also cool in this matter so why not.
I'm not a huge fan of e sport, but also I'm not a hater of it. Sometimes I even watch same Counter Strike matches, although I do not do it very often. I do not know if I will be attacked by someone, but I think that sometimes esport is way more interesting than "normal" sports f.e. jumping or cycling.
I've never wanted to become pro gamers - I prefer to be a programmer ;)
Lately I was playing game called "Pokemon Let's go" and now my only game is "Danganropa". Why? Don't know, I just enjoy playing those games :D

I have no relation to this science. But I see how it develops in the international arena. People are already making money on this, I mean players, not developers. Well, it's fun, people seem to enjoy it, have a good time and still get money for it.

Do you play any video games? If yes, which ones and why?
No, behind the innovations in this industry. Previously related to them. It was possible to shoot at Counter-Strike with friends or FIFA. That's where all my knowledge about video games is stuck.

Have you ever wondered if you should play video games professionally?
No, to be honest. Although it's not too late yet?
Hello, thank you for your comment.
I am also glad, that now esport is the same as all other sport games.
I think it depends on the person. Someone wants to be a professional esport player and for this person is accomplishing a lot, when he or she riches his/her dreams.
Hello, thank you for your comment!
Could you tell a little bit more about all this situation? I find it interesting to read and get to know something more about this industry.
I think, with esport now we have simply more fields to try ourselves. For instance, 100 years ago there were only a few kinds of sports games and now we good choose from a bunch of them.
Hello, thank you for your comment.
That interesting, how was it like to play on a championship? Was it on LAN or only online?
Some time ago I tried to play with my friends at a tournament, but unfortunately, we didn't make it up.
Hello, thank you for your comment.
Yeah, the same. I also find watching some games more interesting than watching some "traditional" sport games.
I decided to start coding only because I wanted to develop games :)
That's cool, I think, the main point of all video games to bring pleasure and make some fun.
Hello, thank you for your comment.
Of course, it is not too late. You can start whenever you want and make your dreams come true. If you have such of course :)

What do you think about esport?

I am not really interested in video games and esport as well. I can’t really understand the hype and how it can be so lucrative. In the end you just watch some random dudes that you keyboard and mouse to gain some points in the ranking. I think that there are
more interesting things to do…

Do you play any video games? If yes, which ones and why?

No, I am not really a gamer. I like to play racing simulators from time to time for a couple of minuts, but that’s it.

Have you ever wondered if you should play video games professionally?

No, I haven’t. To me, it’s just this another type of hyped occupation, after all you can’t call it a profession. Same thing goes with rapping, everyone’s a rapper right now because everyone knows that it’s lucrative. But this kind of business is short-sighted because even though you might win an esport championship or sign a deal with record label, a year later you are completely forgotten as others step into a game and they oust you.
What do you think about esport?
I think that it is a very interesting way to spend free time. what about professional players? In my opinion, Dota2 is not easier that chests. There are a lot of strategies, combinations of heroes and a huge amount of possible improvements of heroes. Also it is a team game, that makes it more difficult.
For me it's sometimes interesting to watch how somebody plays Dota2, but I'm not playing myself, as I'm playing very bad, and it is needed to spend a lot (I mean really a lot) of time to not to die every 2 minutes :D
Do you play any video games? If yes, which ones and why?
I used to play The Sims and Warcraft 3 with my family and friends. For me The Sims was interesting because of its possibility to create a perfect character in a perfect house with a perfect life :3
Warcraft 3 is interesting by its interesting world, races and strategies. It's similar to Dota, but in Warcraft you are playing with the whole army (with heroes), but not only with one hero.
Have you ever wondered if you should play video games professionally?
For sure, not :)

Esports are only alternative to bring meaning to our games and i love it, when it comes to games they are always taken as a waste of time, with esports they have been off the "waste of time hook" for a while now and i hope that trend continues. While not every single game out there can become an esport, its existence has made all gamer's lifes easier.
I play Warframe to kill time and get my mind off everyday problems.
When it comes to "dreams" about professional gaming i had one once but i have given up on it there are too many unknowns when going that route nowadays.
Unfortunately, I never thought about professional e-sports. I heard that playing the DOTA2 game can earn millions of dollars. But only if your team wins in the whole world. I guess it is very difficult. If I were paid for playing games, I would probably play them :D But I do not play video games.
What do you think about esport?
In my opinion, eSports is a great pastime. Unfortunately, I have little interest in games that can be attributed to this sport. But if someone likes, then why not.

Do you play any video games? If yes, which ones and why?
Yes, I really like computer games. Mainly because of the interesting plot and excellent graphics. I think this is something like a movie or a television series, but at the same time, you have more power to change the plot as you like.

Have you ever wondered if you should play video games professionally?
No, this is absolutely not for me. I constantly die in these games. I do not have enough attentiveness and speed of reaction.
What do you think about esport?
I think that it's really cool that professional e-gamers and e-sport are considered to be a serious branch! I don't really watch it, but I appreciate that gaming industry developed so much in just few years.
Do you play any video games? If yes, which ones and why?
I mostly play games made by Nintendo such as Pokemon, Super Smash Bros., etc. I also like Heroes of Might and Magic, Lego games (Star Wars especially!). I hate online games and playing with unknown people, so I prefer games in which I can play alone or with my friend IRL.
Have you ever wondered if you should play video games professionally?
Not at all, because I would be awful in it... I like playing video games, it's a fun activity but I'm not cut out for being professional gamer. I do a lot of stupid mistakes when playing and also I'm terrible in jumping above obstacles...
What do you think about esport?

For me, a great thing. In games there are also emotions, rival high prizes, so why not create esport.
A lot of people think that games are just clicking, but let them try and judge.

Do you play any video games? If yes, which ones and why?
I'm a computer geek, I play I play a lot of cool games. One of my favorites is world of warcraft.
It is a mmorpgg type game in which we play as a character that we create and improve with each level.

Have you ever wondered if you should play video games professionally?
I used to think to play contests in counter-Strike, but something did not work out.
What do you think about esport?
I am sorry if I offend someone but I am not a fan of e-sport. There are many more interesting things to do in life, even if real sport gives us more emotions.

Do you play any video games? If yes, which ones and why?
I don't play, I feel sorry for my time. I prefer to go out with my friends or do something for myself than to waste my time

Have you ever wondered if you should play video games professionally?
I have friends who deal with it, it is a very monotonous and tedious job. I prefer a different type of job, where at least I have a greater variety of tasks.
What do you think about esport?

I used to play a lot in League of Legends, so I know what esport is. I've seen a lot of matches myself. I think it is a very good initiative, if people like to play games, why not make championships in these games?

Do you play any video games? If so, what and why?

I am a specific type of player. I like only a few games and I'm closing on them. I like to play League of Legends, Minecraft, Terraria, Anno and a few other titles.

Have you ever wondered whether you should professionally play video games?

That's what I was thinking about, but I know it's not for me. I prefer to live as I live and not to play as a professional player :)
What do you think about esport?
I don’t really consider them sports as they just don't fit in the pattern of being physically active, even I'm sure that they require a lot of skill, practice and talent. Nevertheless people playing esports absolutely deserve the same respect that traditional sportsman get. I'm not a gamer, but I can understand how entertaining it could be.

Do you play any video games? If yes, which ones and why?
No, like I said I don't consider myself a gamer and I don't play games, maybe besides solitaire on my phone.

Have you ever wondered if you should play video games professionally?
Well never, because I suck at games and making a career of something I'm not particularly good at is not the best idea.
1. What do you think about esport?
I think the esport world is pretty unique. It is not like anything that was before. It is similar to sport in terms of training and commitment but it is based on not only body condition, the but mind is also important as well. This aspect is very important and it different from classical sports.

2. Do you play any video games? If yes, which ones and why?
Yes, I play a lot of games. I love to test new titles. Especially new esport games. Right now, I am playing in CSGO and Lol but I also love the Sea of thieves. It is great to spend time with friends and having fun.

3. Have you ever wondered if you should play video games professionally?
Yes, I can say that this situation happened to me back in my good old times. When I earned Global Elite status I started to think about how it would be to play professionally. And I found my team. I was a part of the CSGO division in Avantic esport. I was pretty good but right after I started to play more professionally, i was offered the choice. To sacrifice my life and try to be the best or to choose a normal life and go to university. And here I am. Looking back, I think it was the right thing to do.
1. I think that the numbers speak for themselves. Every generation is different and every generation has it's own “thing”. Video games, despite being part of the virtual world gained a lot of popularity and developed throughout the years creating a new reality that is equally “real” to the new generation as any other thing. I believe that maybe it is not for everyone but I can see how it could be interesting for other people.
2. I used to when I was younger, nowadays I tend to devote my time to other activities.
3. No, I know that there are people out there who are better and more talented at this than me. Gaming has never been a passion of mine and I believe it takes passion to become truly successful at what you do.
Some time ago I consider going serious with games as the way to make living but I had other interests that took priority. Nowadays it's harder but I still meet up with friends and play for a lot of hours some campaign in virtual world I consider it as one of most relaxing and enjoyable ways of spending time. When I'm alone I'm playing a lot of different types of games or rather I used to but when I'm with friends we mostly play strategies or city builders like Civilization, Heroes or Warhammer Soul Storm. I'm not really taking track of e-sport league but I do care about championships and every year I take time to watch league of legends finals becouse at a time I found a lot of pleasure in this game.
Almost the same as about traditional sport, but with one exception. The conventional one promotes values of health, while the other? Sitting and staring into screen for hours? The dexterity of players is for sure outstanding. However, after all esport can’t bring to any life that many benefits as simple jogging or more complex tennis.

I prefer to play good old games. The only one that I play, and it belongs to esport family is Warcraft 3. I like returning to it every 1-2 years to bring some nostalgia to my life.

Never, I have already ma passion and I’m realy dedicated to it. Games to me are just ways to fight with stress and get relaxed.
What do you think about esport?
I don’t watch them, and I don’t understand why they are so popular that they are paid so much money

Do you play any video games? If yes, which ones and why?
Only sometimes I prefer mmorpg with open word. Why well you can play with other people and do whatever you want to do in them.

Have you ever wondered if you should play video games professionally?
Maybe once or twice when I heard that some people earn a lot of money selling some stuff from game but when you start earning money from games professionally most of the time you stop fill enjoyment playing them.
1. I completely do not understand but if someone likes it, please. However, it annoys me to compare it to sport. Another hobby ok but more in common has a game of cards.
2. "Car mechanic simulator" counts? I think to start playing asseto corsa but I only want a drift simulator to train for real competitions.
3. With my skills probably only in cabaret. xD
1. I think that each and every sport is about emotions of those who play and those who watch. From this perspective esport is like any other sport – it has huge potential to attract peoples interest and engage their emotions.
2. I do play sometimes. My favourites are highly competitive RTSs (Total War), as well as a well written RPG (Witcher) Why those? I prefer games that have a solid skill curve to them: competitive with deep mechanics and not necessarily clicking contests. A good story defends itself.
3. I have different aspirations and duties. A professional player seems like a very short and stressful career.

Yes i play league of legends and it has ESport League but mine skills are not that good to play against players from Challenger tier

Have you ever wondered if you should play video games professionally?

Yea i was thinking about it but after 15 min i came to conclusion that it will end in some time and i will only lost my time at training and being better in one game while other came up
What do you think about esport?
It is fascinating and modern. I am not a fan of it, but am not against it.
Do you play any video games? If yes, which ones and why?
At the moment - no. But I am waiting for CyberPunk to come out!
Have you ever wondered if you should play video games professionally?
I definitely should not. But my nephew is a professional e-sport player and earns a lot of money for it.

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form. These can be particles of sea salt, clouds from the Sahara and artificial compounds made by people. These compounds often come fr
