Week 10 [27.05-02.06.2019] Extreme sports

Elevated adrenaline level, proceeding on the basis on only instinct, risking your own life, that’s what you can feel when practicing extreme sports. Extreme sports were the inspiration to create many films such as: Fast and Furious, Point Break, XXX or 127 hours. We can see that the main characters seem to act like people who are addicted to drugs, they want more and more adrenaline.

The most popular extreme sports are for example: free solo climbing, BMX racing or ice climbing but I want to focus on mountain kayaking and kayak freestyle.
I am involved in that kind of sports for a long time and I can say from my own experience that once I have mastered something, I am looking for a new challenge. My sports are mountain kayaking, freestyle kayaking, drifting and starting motorcycle races. Likewise, when I do not experience adrenaline for a long period of time, I cannot concentrate on anything. However, I think that such a way of spending free time is better than constantly partying and playing computer games. In the end we have here live computer games. Extreme sports, like any sport, develop physical condition but can also develop the ability to cope with difficult situations. There are often unexpected situations that need to be solved within a fraction of a second.

Doing sport, not only extreme sport, you can get a lot of injuries. I don’t remember when the last time I was on a canoe trip on which I haven't injured myself. I know many people who professionally deal with sports including extreme sports. These people often after some serious injuries, think only about when they will be able to come back to their passion. My friend is a good example. Two years ago, at the world championship in kayaking freestyle suffered a serious elbow injury and despite of that he decided to take part in competition, finally he took 7th place. After long rehabilitation and hours of hard work he was able to start again in competition. This year he is targeting 1st place. Why are we still doing this? Here my theory returns that sport is addiction. Additionally, together with friends we joke that athletes are masochists :).
To sum up, I think that people practicing such strange sports are not normal but have great passions and are addicted of adrenaline. They want to try everything in their life, catch every moment they have. In addition, one of my favorite quote comes from the movie "Van Wilder":
“Don't take life too seriously, you'll never get out alive.”

1. What do you think about extreme sports?
2. Do you play any sport? If yes, which one? If no, why?
3. Do you think that people who play a lot of sport are normal?
4. Which of the extreme sports you consider to be the most dangerous?

1. What do you think about extreme sports?
I think it is very interesting and dangerous, you can feel new emotions.

2. Do you play any sport? If yes, which one? If no, why?
I do seasonal sports,2 years ago I learned to snowboard and snorkel.I thought I was gonna break my leg while I learned how to ride a Board.

3. Do you think that people who play a lot of sport are normal?
Of course they are normal, it is better to do a lot of sports than to go and drink in clubs. For many, this is a hobby and don't notice how much time you spend on it.

4. Which of the extreme sports you consider to be the most dangerous?
I think the most dangerous is climbing you can fall and get killed to death or become disabled, Motorsport is the same.

1. What do you think about extreme sports?

I love extreme sports and they really make your whole problems go away and focus on what is going on in that perticular moment what can be really relieving. I think that it is great way to spend time but only for well experienced people in specific sport.

2. Do you play any sport? If yes, which one? If no, why?

I love snowboarding but im not talking about normal snowboarding on slopes but extreme one when you go freeride outside from scheduled places.

3. Do you think that people who play a lot of sport are normal?

Well amm that is a little bit weird of a question? If people who "play" sports are normal? I think that it doesn't define if someone is normal or mental xd. sry but I can't answer that question properly.

4. Which of the extreme sports you consider to be the most dangerous?

Many of them are dangerous but I guess cliff jumping with a parachute just because there is many things that can happend that you stop having control on a situation and it will end your life in seconds.
Answering your questions:

1. I have mixed feeinds about extreme sports. From one hand it gives a lot of adrenaline, feelings and memories, you stay focused on what you do, but on other hand if you are unexperienced person, you may suffer injury or even lose your life. Choice is for responsible person with brain.

2. I love swimming! I've been training swimming since I was 14 years old. I have several swimming training a week and I love what I do! This is my life. In addition to swimming, I also go the gym 1-2 days a week. This is an excellent combination for me.

3. Yes, of course! Why should I think that people who play a lot of sport are not normal? They do their passions! They do what they want and love to do! And besides that I think people who play a lot of sport are very friendly and cool.

4. Wingsuit. In my opinion this is a most dangerous extreme sport. Jumping from the mountains and gliding between peaks and rocks? This is insane and very risky. If you hit the ground/rock with high speed - you are dead.

1. What do you think about extreme sports?
I'm not into extreme sports as I'm to afraid of my life and injuries haha. I'm just not that type of person that can't live without adrenaline. My hobby is gokarting and that dose of adrenaline is sufficient for me.

2. Do you play any sport? If yes, which one? If no, why?
I do some sports but not regularly. Sometimes I play tenis, table tenis, ride a bike, drive mentioned gokarts and go to the gym. I like sports as it keeps me in a good mental and physical shape.

3. Do you think that people who play a lot of sport are normal?
Amm, yes? I feel like anyone who do some sports is more that normal, sport is beneficial for our organisms so if someone do it it's an evidence that he or she cares about health. Or simply love to do that.

4. Which of the extreme sports you consider to be the most dangerous?
I think one of the most dangerous activities is climbing something (buildings or mountains) without any protection.
I actually see little sense in participating in such activity, although I can fully understand people that are doing it. But there are way more ways to get the adrenaline, that are less dangerous, although, less fascinating. But for me personally, I do not like the feeling of adrenaline.

I used to swim, in fact I was a member of Ukrainian junior swimming team, not for long though, four years at much. It got ultra boring for me.

People, who play a lot of sports have chosen their path. I do not see any problem with that.

The most extreme sport for me is rejected sexual intercourse, haha. But really, I guess, any sport contains risks. Some are more obvious.
1. What do you think about extreme sports?

I think that they are way more exacting when you are doing them, not watching them :P

2. Do you play any sport? If yes, which one? If no, why?

Yes, I do boxing a lot. Why? Mostly because I love it. A lot of people thinks that boxing is sport for idiots (ok, maybe it is a little bit for idiots), but in fact you must think really a lot while boxing. I love it because there are not any one well know way of boxing if you want to be efficient - you can be fast puncher, strong puncher, defense boxer, orthodox, southpaw, Mexican style, dancer. Also every champion like Ali, Mayweather, Roy Jones Jr, Tyson or AJ - all of them were boxing in different way.

3. Do you think that people who play a lot of sport are normal?

If they are doing it for fun, then yes they are normal. If you are professional sportsmen then... I would not call you "freak" but being pro in sports is unhealthy.
Especially at combat sports or extreme sports.

4. Which of the extreme sports you consider to be the most dangerous?
MMA, american football and most extreme sports. Also motor sports.
I like extreme sports very much or I like to watch them very much, I don't know :D. Once I watched a lot of snowboarding, but when I started doing tricks I broke my arm and never went back to snowboarding. I used to ride BMX once too , but I was very young and I didn't have the strength to pick up my bike and do tricks. I think it's quite normal to do various sports like Shaun White, who skateboards and snowboards and he is successful in both. In my opinion the most dangerous sport is wingsuiting, because I always imagine such a person hitting a mountain or a tree and dying.
1. I respect those who do such sports. It requires a lot of courage to risk so much to have fun. I would probably never try it out. Thinking about serious injuries or death freaks me out.

2. No, I don’t do any sports. I was never good at team sports like football or similar games and it was always a problem for me to take part in physical education classes because of that. I used to go to a gym some time ago, but now I don’t and I am justifying this by lack of time. I hate getting up early, and after work I have to go to school. I’d really like to go back to training when I finish studying.

3. Yes, why shouldn’t they? It’s their life and they do what they want. Do they harm anyone? People that are not normal can be found at psychiatric hospital.
I think that extreme sports are good, but we need to approach this wisely. After all, it is very dangerous! The only extreme sport I was involved in was a race for survival. We had an old car that could be broken to the end =). In fact, it should be understood that everything should be in moderation. For example, as with vitamins, when there are not enough of them - this is bad, the immunity is weak, when there are many of them - this is bad, it causes allergies, when they are in moderation, this is already good and everything works as it should!. So it’s with sports same story, but I not have practiced in excess of it. It seems to me that the morning run is enough to keep myself in good shape. I think wingsuit is the most extreme sport... It’s really very dangerous... Wow...

1. What do you think about extreme sports?
I love watching it, but I have no courage to try it.

2. Do you play any sport? If yes, which one? If no, why?
I like team sports like volleyball or basketball but also dancing, joga, skating or cycling... When I think about it I love every single sport, it makes me happy and confident.

3. Do you think that people who play a lot of sport are normal?
I think I am one of them and I can't be objective, but for me those people who love sport are the best. Hanging out with athletic people and doing sports is great, you can join pleasure and practical.

4. Which of the extreme sports you consider to be the most dangerous?
In my opinion the most dangerous extreme sport is wingsuit flying. It looks awesome but also terrifying.

1. What do you think about extreme sports?

I am more into motorsport than extreme sports. But on the other hand, some motorsports can be seen as extreme sport especially in the past when safety wasn’t the most important matter. A good example would the infamous rallying Group B in the eighties which was very dangerous and number of lives lost resulted in banning this group.
2. Do you play any sport? If yes, which one? If no, why?

I used to play tennis a lot when I was a kid. I am planning to get back to it but right now I have other responsibilities that stop me from doing that.

3. Do you think that people who play a lot of sport are normal?

I don’t have any problem with it. If they are sport freaks and they enjoy it then I am all right with that.

4. Which of the extreme sports you consider to be the most dangerous?

I would say that climbing without protection is quite dangerous as one mistake can lead to permanent disabilities or even death.

Extreme sports are the only way for some of u s to get off some steam. There is not much to "say about them" in my case since i understand the risks some of us take do pursue tier was of "sports". I found couple of extreme sports unnecessarily dangerous but not much more.
I dont play sports at the moment but i plan on going back to Volleyball soon. So far had no time for them.
people who play a lot of sports are as normal as people who work a lot, they choose to do that particular thing in their life and they are happy.
The most dangerous extreme sports in my opinion are wing-suit gliding and rock climbing (the no support version).
1. What do you think about extreme sports?
They bring adrenaline, which is addictive, so I understand why people like to do these type of the sport. Personally, I'm too lazy to do something like that, but once I flew on the glider and it was awesome!
2. Do you play any sport? If yes, which one? If no, why?
Unfortunately I'm really lazy so I don't play any sports. Sometimes I go to the gym to lift weights, but not so often.
3. Do you think that people who play a lot of sport are normal?
And why they shouldn't be normal? They're focused on their health, body, they're athletic. I can see only good points of being sport freak.
4. Which of the extreme sports you consider to be the most dangerous?
Maybe rock climbing without the support - I saw a documentary about man, who climbed on the really high hill without anything and it was totally thrilling for me
1. What do you think about extreme sports?
I like extreme sports, it is a very healthy form for experiencing very strong emotions.

2. Do you play any sport? If yes, which one? If no, why?
A long time ago I went on a moto-cross, but over time I changed my interests, I think I will come back to this one day

3. Do you think that people who play a lot of sport are normal?
I don't understand why they would not be normal? Following this mental trail, are there normal people who spend whole days playing on the computer?

4. Which of the extreme sports you consider to be the most dangerous?
I think that this is wingsuit flying.

I have been active all my life.
From childhood, I practiced dancing, and then I switched to various training in the gym. But I will not say that I am a fan of this. I am engaged for a healthy and athletic body 3-4 times a week.
Unfortunately, I didn’t do extreme sports. I can surf and diving, but I do not consider it dangerous. I always wanted to jump with a parachute and I hope that I will do it soon.
I believe that extreme brings new and bright colors to our lives. Someone helps to rethink something.
As for me, the most dangerous are safaris, expeditions to remote places of the world (mountains, Antarctica).
1. What do you think about extreme sports?

I really like them, and admire people who do them. I tried skydiving and even completed a course to do it, the adrenaline rush is amazing and I believe that is the reason so many people play extreme sports.

2. Do you play any sport? If yes, which one? If no, why?

If we are talking about team activities, then no. With my schedule it’s really hard to find a time in the week that I could be positive, I would be available. I do not like to be dependent on other people and when other people are dependent on me.

3. Do you think that people who play a lot of sport are normal?

Yes, why would I think otherwise? I don’t know anybody who thinks that people who play a lot of sport are not normal.

4. Which of the extreme sports you consider to be the most dangerous?

I think that cave diving is the most dangerous extreme sport. If anything goes wrong you are trapped in underwater cave with limited oxygen.
1. What do you think about extreme sports?
Now I fly by planes, previously I flew on gliders. The feeling of adrenaline is something special. I have always appreciated people who have had their extreme sport or activity they are passionate about.
2. Do you play any sport? If yes, which one? If no, why?
I have mentioned aviation but I do not think it's a sport, aerobatic flying can be considered as such but I do fly different style cause i preparing for commercial license. Once I was riding motocross, I would like to come back to it. I am waiting until I can afford the desired equipment.
3. Do you think that people who play a lot of sport are normal?
They are probably normal, why not. It's true that it's hard for me to say because I do not know anyone who would take more than 2 sports seriously at once.
4. Which of the extreme sports you consider to be the most dangerous?
It's hard to point out something specific. I think that sports like aerobatic aviation or skydiving are not that dangerous because there are many demanding regulations that require experience to be able to reach the next stage. That's why I find the new sports that are implemented in a previously unknown way the most dangerous.
1. What do you think about extreme sports?
I like adrenaline and I think extreme sports are very much needed for some people to be happy. I even rode an extreme bike a long time ago.

2. Do you play any sport? If yes, which one? If no, why?
Yes, I often do sports. I usually run endurance, but I can not call it an extreme sport ;)

3. Do you think that people who play a lot of sport are normal?
Of course! Why should they be immoral? Non-normal are those who do not have a hobby, or do nothing, just sit in front of the computer. In order to live a healthy life, it is necessary to move the whole body, not just the eyeballs :P

4. Which of the extreme sports you consider to be the most dangerous?
By far the most dangerous sport for me are parachuting or extreme alpine downhill
What is strike-ball?

I think that extreme sports are vary cool looking and may be fun thing to do if you like sport. The only sport that I’m practicing is e-sport. I’m very lazy person and don’t really like physic activities, I rather sit in front of computer, play some cool game or go for a party. I think that people who play a lot of sport have a passion which is great. I personally prefer computer games then sport and this is my passion. I think that the most dangerous extreme sports is mountain climbing but most of them are very serious and you need to be super careful to participate in such sports.
It's nice that I started to learn how to ride snowboarding, how did you like it?
I do not go snowboarding a lot but I also prefer freeride;)
Wingsuit I also think that this is the peak of extreme sports and this is my dream which I probably will not meet but I think this guy beat them. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qF_fzEI4wU
Do I also like go-karts and have you tried crazycarts?
I understand the idea behind extreme sports but i wouldn't try them myself. I used to ride a mountain-like bicycles on designated track to downhill, but i broke my arm once and since then, i have never tried something similar. Right now, i do not practice any sport. I think it is because of my lifestyle which is heavyli time consuming and i have my free time only at evenings where i want to chill in front of computer or TV. I think people who do a lot of sport activities are as normal as normal they can get. They simply like different things. I think the most dangerous extreme sports are ones that are based just on not using proper equipment. Like mountain-wall climbing. It is ok but when people practice it without any safe measures, thats crazy for me.
Boxing requires a lot of strategy so I do not think it's for idiots. My grandfather taught me how to play boxing.
I also do not like team games and for this physical education teachers did not like me because I'm doing something other than playing football which I completely do not understand. ;)
If you like watching extreme sports, it may be worth a try.
I like extreme sports like snowboarding but I have never tried anything else like BMX, mountain kayaking etc. I don't think I would be able to cope with the requirenments. I think extreme sporta are very demanding and to achieve anything in those specifc areas you need to train your whole life like Formula 1 drives. I really respect people who are sport addicted and they are able to sacriface theirs whole life to that specifc sport, it is insane!
I've heard that diving is really dangerous and I mean sport deep diving not casual as well as paragliding.
1. What do you think about extreme sports?
I like extreme sports. I've never tried any of them, but i'm surely will do some in nearest future.
2. Do you play any sport? If yes, which one? If no, why?
Yes, i play tennis, basketball a little bit. And i'm in love with rafting and bmx, skating games.
3. Do you think that people who play a lot of sport are normal?
Yes, why not? I have 2 friends who are european champions and they are normal guys. I think it is a kind of stereotype that people who play a lot of sport are not normal.
4. Which of the extreme sports you consider to be the most dangerous?
I consider free climbing as the most dangerous extreme sport i've ever seen. You need to be not only the man, you need to be a man with steel eggs.
Unfortunately, I am absolutely not a sports person. Therefore, I do nothing myself. Sometimes I regret very much that in my childhood I paid more attention to drawing, and not to sports. Although I am ready to admit that I tried, and it did not turn out very well for me.
People who play extreme sports are incredible. But it is very difficult for me to understand them. They have a completely different type of thinking. But I think it's great that there are people who are so inspired by sports.
Well, i like extreme sports, if car racing and snowboard (freeride) you count as two of them. 90% of my free time im thinking about my car and what to do with it and thats for sure not a normal thing but i won't say that everyone doing so is crazy. Specially these people that do it as a job. When it comes to most dangerous ones hmmm, free climbing and bull riding i guess? Level of protection is so low while risk of failing is so damn high. These two are my pick for kinda deadliests ones.
1. What do you think about extreme sports?
They are very dangerous this is playing with fate. People that do them are either adrenaline junkies or have they fear level is wrongly set. But I like to watch them in tv or internet but only when everything ends well and they don’t end with broken bones, on wheelchair or even worse.
2. Do you play any sport? If yes, which one? If no, why?
No, I don’t why well because I’m too lazy or maybe or maybe I have too little time one of this it’s all depends on my day.
3. Do you think that people who play a lot of sport are normal?
play a lot all depend how much this lot is well if this is not some extreme case then I think that most of them are normal but I’m not psychologist so what I know…
4. Which of the extreme sports you consider to be the most dangerous?
I think that will be free solo climbing without ropes or safety gear. You are alone and very high any mistake and you probably will die and if you survive but can’t move or you are stuck somewhere no one will help you because there is no one there.

Extreme sports are a nice way to get your adrenaline. I think those sports help you find and push your limits.

I play squash with my friends. It's a one on one sport where you share the same space as your opponent and it's made tough to win points off of each other.

I don’t thinks those people are much different from ‘normal people’ besides bigger need for adrenaline.

I think bull riding is a very dangerous sport. You could break a lot of bones or even lose your life while doing it.
1. It’s funny how addicting adrenaline is. Seems counterproductive from an evolutionary viewpoint. Just how is putting yourself in constant danger supposed to help you survive?
2. I only really sky and scuba dive seasonally. Plus whatever comes up. I’m exactly going to refuse playing when a friend invites me to.
3. Whatever gets you out of bed in the morning. Everyone needs a passion to preserve their sanity.
4. I once made plans to go base jumping with some colleagues but half them didn’t return from their previous trip. And that was that.

I've always loved extreme sports. Downhill ride from the building, snowboarding, long-distance swimming, airsoft (ASG). I think I liked ASG the most of all of them because it involves running in military uniforms and shooting with plastic balls. I know it sounds funny but in a professional form it provides a huge adrenaline. Especially when the ball aimed at you has almost 2 jules energy. This sport is very dangerous. You can easily break your hands jumping from a bunker because usually the games are conducted in old forts. You can also get such a ball at close range, which is a strong bruise. Of course, everyone tries to put on clothes and wear special glasses to minimize the damage. I think that people practicing this sport are certainly not normal. After all, this description sounds like I should be mutilated.
1. Extreme sports are a nice way to get your adrenaline flowing and discover yourself. These sports make people push their limits and gain inner strength in the process.

2. I don't know if that counts as an extreme sport but I windsurf quite often

3. Yes I do think they're normal and extremely brave for perfirming something that involves sich a high level of risk and danger.

4. I believe it's called squirrel suit jumping. I just can't imagine jumping of a building with absolutely nothing but a suit. I've heard that most of the founders are already dead. So if this does't speak of it self I don't know what does
1. What do you think about extreme sports?
Oh, I like it very much!

2. Do you play any sport? If yes, which one? If no, why?
I was doing acrobatics for 4 years, and it was amazing! Then I decided that it was not enough and added hip hop dance, then added Contemporary. In the end I had 18 hours or training per week! And I loved it so much! But, unfortunately, I don't have such a lot of time with university and job, so I tried rope jumping :D
To be continued...

3. Do you think that people who play a lot of sports are normal?
Yes, I'm sure that they are happy much more than others.

4. Which of the extreme sports do you consider to be the most dangerous?
In my opinion, it's parachute jumps, because there is too much responsibility on the equipment.
Generally I'm not an extream sports person or I should say I'm not in to putting myself in critical situations that can put my life in danger. I love physical activity I spend eight years of youth spending three and half hour per day swimming in the sport club but generating life dangerous situation is pure stupidity to me. I do kite surfing, wind surfing, skies and snowboarding but I never take risk to put myself in situation where I could become seriously injured. Of course there are times when you might wound yourself but specially increasing chances for that becouse of greed for sensation is retarded in same way as taking heroine since both will kill you. There is no such thing as normal for me. There are only choices and behaviors people tend to accept as normal so I don't have opinion. To be honest I don't know what sport is the most dangerous one. My friend once broke an arm while playing volleyball becouse of mistake she made. I believe it's not like sports might be the most dangerous but bad behavior might couse serious injuries if you forget about being coution all the time.

Week 11 [03-09.06.2019] The problem with ecological cars emission in UK

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form. These can be particles of sea salt, clouds from the Sahara and artificial compounds made by people. These compounds often come fr

Week 12 (12.01-18.01.15) Are you an early bird or a night owl ?

Owls are nocturnal creatures. They’re wide awake at night and they sleep during the day. If this sounds like bliss to you, then, like about 20 percent of the population who find themselves most active at around 9 pm, you may fall into the same category as our feathered friend. Night owls often have difficulty waking up in the morning, and like to be up late at night.  Studies of animal behaviour indicate that being a night owl may actually be built into some people’s genes. This would explain why those late-to-bed, late-to-rise people find it so difficult to change their behaviour. The trouble for night owls is that they just have to be at places such as work and school far too early. This is when the alarm clock becomes the night owl’s most important survival tool. Experts say that one way for a night owl to beat their dependence on their alarm clocks is to sleep with the curtains open. The Theory is that if they do so, the morning sunlight will awaken them gently and naturally.
