Week 12 [18.06-24.06.2018] Apple WWDC 2018

WWDC is a conference for developers from all around the world. It is organised by Apple once in a year, and it tells about the future plans of software/hardware released by the company. It provides a lot of useful information, not only for developers - for example you can discover new features of your device.

1. What is your opinion on Apple products?
2. What do you think about new software features from this movie?

To be honest, I used to have good opinion about Apple products because each product was outstanding and much better than other brands highend devices but something has changed. I think that after Steve Jobs's death, Apple didn't do anything to make their products unique and outstanding as it should be but they started to treat their products like other brand without reducing the price. As for now, in my opinion Apple devices aren't worth theirs prices.

I think everybody will admit that Apple products are a little bit overpriced. It's no secret that cost of most electronic parts used in their products is no different than the cost of parts in other products of the same category from other vendors. As for me, I didn't have much experience with Apple products. I only used iMac once but didn't like macOS user experience. But I think that overall Apple products are not that bad, sure there are some reasonable issues but it's never possible to please everybody's expectations or tastes.
I don't think that creating custom animoji is something outstanding, at least for me.

Apple products are good, but not great. Advertising campaigns are trying to show that Apple products are a special product.
Apple became famous when it came to the market with the first touchscreen of the world with a huge amount of advertising, a completely different work that was not so popular before.
Apple products are very user-friendly and this is one of the benefits of Apple products.
Apple pays a lot of attention to its customers, but most of it devotes itself to developing technologies that are different in the market than other competitors.

1. I have an excellent attitude to Apple, my girlfriend phone of this company and I sometimes use it, accessible and understandable. He also drew attention to the fact that small children who can already play primitive games on the phone, just as easily can use Apple's technique.
2. On new functions, I think that they are no longer new, many other companies on the market have long come up with some of the functions presented here. Animoji, for example, from 2017 already exists with the Huawei company. I do not want to repeat myself, but I agree with the comment above that the company stopped surprising after Steve Jobs died.

I think that Apple products are great, they look good, they have user-friendly operating systems, but they also have some drawbacks as they are sometimes too limited to their 'eco-system'. I know it's a part of their philosophy and the whole idea of this eco-system is great, but sometimes it also could be a pain in the neck. All those new features seem very interesting, it's nice that Apple noticed that performance of the current versions of iOS is not that good as it could be and started to work on it. Shared augmented reality looks cool and this app to measure length of anything using iPhone seem very useful. I also liked the dark mode in the new macOS and its wallpaper adjusting to the time of the day.

I think that APlle products are overrated and usually worth much less than they do. It's not that their quality is bad but the same quality can be obtained in old meizu and android devices have much more variety. As for product it is not what i use my phone for, but they sound fun.

I'm an iOS developer, so of coarse I like apple products. And WWDC is developer conference, so I watched the keynote, and most of the videos from classes after it(they are even more important).

2. What do you think about new software features from this movie?
For me autofilling the passwords, ARKit 2.0, better performance on old phones, huge XCode(IDE) updates, and a lot of other things are occasion for happiness.

Personally, I use Iphone and think that it is much better, and cooler than other smartphones from other producents. I like it in it that it is very intuitive, easy to use and really well produced. I also think that all design is pretty.

I like it. I especially like the application that tells you how much more time you can use Instagram or Facebook. I also like that I will be able to talk to more users on facetime.

I used iPhones since I remember and I think I'll be still using their devices because of their deisgn and high quality finish.
The most important thing about iPhone is iOS which is absolutely outstanding and much better than Android...

I like the video and I can't wait for September to see the new iPhones and updated iOS.

Honestly, I like apple's products. They have good design, easy in use and fast.
And actually, when I was little and had "first meeting" with computers it was mac. So I liked it and I still like it. I have been using Android and iOs I like more and I can't wait what to see what will be on the next WWDC conference.

I don't really like Apple. Because they want us to give money to the brand. This company has several good products, but most of them are not as expensive as written on the price tag. Despite this, I am delighted with their resourcefulness, with all their drawbacks, they inspired more than half of humanity that they need Apple's products. They earn a lot of money on this. It deserves respect.
Their new technologies are good, but every year they will lose their customers. Now the market has a lot of worthy competitors. Apple's gadgets work on 100 percent only with other products of this company, it's a huge minus in my opinion. Although, Steve Jobs thought so. Unfortunately, the company needs his leadership. They froze in place and pretended to move forward.

I was a real fan of Apple's products few years ago. Every brand new phone, tablet or notebook was the best. User experience that every Apple product delivered was outstanding and impressive. But some time ago something changed. When xiaomi and other chinese brands entered the market Apple didn't even take care of them and continued selling phones without some special and unique features that they used to have.
The only valuable thing that has been changing was their design and new colors. Their user experience stayed the same(but most os don't have such good one stiil), their phones and MacBooks started lagging more and more. They started cheated on their customers and telling that animojis that they've created could be used on their latest device because it has 31902391 cameras and sensors but it's actually not. I don't really like the way Apple treat their customers now.

Before we start i need to disclose that im a tinkering kind of guy.
For me Apple products are overpriced as hell. For the price they are asking , customers can get way more from other manufacturers with little do no downside(looks mostly it looks different).
When it comes to software ive grown up to kind of "understand" it? I mean i understand what people are their target audience and that software solutions they propose are strictly for them.
I mean i saw most of those features on competitive products before in better or worse implementation , im not impressed at all.

I like Apple products, I know that they are often overpriced but I like their own software. I have iPhone and MacBook so it's easy to connect them. Thanks for that, I can make notes on my phone and read them on computer. The same situation with text messaging or calling.
What about features from your movie? It sounds great, I like gadgets and new solutions. I'm waiting for this Apple Watch "Workout" module. There is one bad feature - new emojis. It's unnecessary for me.

Apple products are overrated and for sure the worst choice for anybody who is connected to programming or wants to do something more or less advanced with PC.
2)Nothing interesting, nothing even really new, just some already implemented features(i mean implemented in some other devices) presented as something new - so much Wow

Of course in terms of a hardware they're overpriced, but I think that people are buying it because of the user experience of their systems. You should consider checking it out

I do agree that iOS 12 is not "jaw-breaking", but I think that Apple tried to work around stability of the system and its speed

Yeah, their "eco-system" can be a pain sometimes. For example - NFC. You can't write your own tags, you can only read them, but only when they're in a special format. Weird approach

I won't agree with you, mainly because there are a lot of developers, who are using macbooks to write their code. It's all about stability of the system - you should check it out

I really like the Apple products. The connection between them is just amazing. User experience is also great on these devices.

New features seems interesting! New Xcode functionalities, new macOS, iOS 12 looks amazing too! I really hope that it'll work flawlessly.

Honestly, I bought my first Iphone half year ago and loved it! It's super easy to use and good looking. It offers me a lot of features and facilitation. Apple products are simply sexy!

2. What do you think about new software features from this movie?
It look super intresting, I only have one apple products but maybe in future I will buy more, to complete whole "apple ecosystem"

Lots of my friends have apple products. Personally I just do not like their products because I got used to use software’s like Windows instead of MacOS or Android instead of IOS. I cannot find my self using Apple gadgets. I would have to change all of my devices and most of their products are really expensive and I cannot handle it. Software features presented in video are quite interesting. App which can measure objects by camera is something which I would like to try. The best idea for me is setting time limit for using apps such as Instagram or Facebook. Personally I waste too much time for social media and it could be really good for me.
