Week 10 [04.06.2018-10.06.2018] AIRSOFT

I am pretty sure that each and every one of us has heard about paintball. Airsoft is similar except there is no paint involved and instead, smaller plastic pellets are used. However, don’t be fooled by the name of the sport, it is not soft at all.
Airsoft is a military simulation sport where players participate in mock combat with authentic military-style weapons and tactics. It was originated from Japan in the early 1970s, tailoring to the needs of shooting enthusiasts while conforming to Japan’s strict gun control.

Unlike paintball, Airsoft uses 6mm round BBs made of hard plastic and the used guns are full scale replicas of real world weapons. Moreover, Airsoft pellets do not mark their target, and hits are not always visibly apparent. Though the pellets will not leave red marks or "welts" on the targets’ exposed skin, the game relies heavily on an honor system in which it is the ethical duty of the person who has been hit to call themselves out, regardless of whether or not anyone saw it happen.
Due to the nature of the sport and the speed at which BBs are flying, ALL participants are required to wear eye protection at all times even when not in play. Here are just some of many field rules:

1. Always wear eye protection in and around the arena,
2. Fighting will not be tolerated. Physical or verbal,
3. Do not shoot lights, speakers, signs, cameras, or fire safety equipment,
4. Do not shoot other players within the 10ft surrender distance.

Finally, Airsoft technology is used in military training and law enforcement training. Due to airsoft’s realism, relatively safe projectiles, and economical ammunition, it is well-suited to war games and scenarios to train troops. Multiple airsoft inventions were developed originally for military and law enforcement use.

I am leaving you with this YouTube channel, which is run by one of the best Airsoft players in the world. You can find there many videos and GoPro captures right from the first-person point of view. Please also provide some answers to the following questions:

1. Is Airsoft something new for you or have you already heard about it before?
2. What are your feelings about Airsoft, is it something you would like to try?
3. Which sport in your opinion is more fun, Paintball or Airsoft? Justify your answer.

I've heard about this kind of sport and even had an opportunity to play it once. It was a fun time playing it. Obviously, one of the best reasons to try it is feeling of realism. But most people start from paintball and usually stick to it, which mostly due to some age limitations. As far as I know, you must be at least 18 years old to play airsoft. This is not the safest type of sport and usually, players need to wear special clothes, masks or helmets to protect themselves from plastic bullets that on big speeds can wound you pretty bad.
In my opinion, both airsoft and paintball are fun sports, but airsoft has more realism in it which allows simulating pretty accurate combat situations.

Airsoft isn’t something new for me, I’ve already heard about it and I also used to play it a lot with my friends. Some years ago we found abandoned house and it was a great place to have fights with guns. The atmosphere was great and realism was at very high level. Of course, we’ve always tried to follow the rules but sometimes it was hard. Luckily, each of us is alive now and fully operable :D For me airsoft is more fun but it’s hard to justify my answer. Maybe because balls in airsoft are smaller than paintball and there is no paint everywhere.
I had an experience in Airsoft, so it is not a new thing for me. I played about 4 times and i really started to enjoy this game only last time. The feelings are great when you "killed" someone or when your team won. It is a competition and every competition likes venturous people. I tried paintball only once and i would say that there is not difference for me.

I have heard about Airsoft, some of my friends in secondary school were passionate about it, but personally I have never tried it. It just doesn't interest me, I'm not into military stuff at all. I don't even play FPS games. I played Paintball few times and it was ok, it was nice experience, but I just don't see myself good in this kid of games and I'm not really passionate about them. As I said, I've never tried Airsoft (and probably won't), but I suppose that it's more fun than Paintball, at least for people who are really into this climates, because you can use replicas of real weapons not some random pistols that also make your clothes dirty after every game.
Yeh, one summer i went on airsoft camp and i had great fun playing some scenarios in a forest or special field prepaired for it. I got my lovely m16a4 and had fun every minute.
If its about your last question, hmmm i think airsoft is much more fun if you dont cheat and you play more as a team. When i played paintball i enjoyed it but i never got so immersed as when i played with ASG.
I've heard about such sport before. I was on paintball a few times. Airsoft seems much more pro than paintball. I think it's quite fun and I will try this sport soon. The bullet from the paintball of the weapon moves much slower and still there are bruises. I imagine that hitting a ball with Airsoft weapons can leave much more serious physical injury. It seems to me that Airsoft more closely reflects the real battle with guns.

I have heard about it but never played it. I played paintball though. It was quite fun, except for getting shot.
Airsoft sounds quite interesting, I would like to try it but it don't feel that I would like it so much that it would become my hobby or anything like that.
I think that Airsoft might be more fun because of the accuracy that the air soft guns can achieve.

Yes, I knew about it, and I really would like to play it. Preferably with my friends and on some really beg territory, to feel like a real soldier. Well, I played only Paintball, but my friends who played both say that Airsoft is much funnier)

I have never tried to play Airsoft, but still I guess it is the same thing as a paintball. I played paintball many times and for this is a game which I can play only with my friends only for fun and only 1-2 times per year or I start to get boring from it. As every competitive game it may bring lots of positive or negative emotions as well, so angry and "flamable" people like should play it carefully to prevent conflicts.

I've heard about this kind of sport, But most people as me start from paintball.
i think This is not the safest type of sport but fom me
Airsoft seems much more realistic than paintball. I think it's more fun and I will definitely try this sport as soon as possible.

Airsoft is nothing new for me as I started playing it in secondary school with my friends. If I had to choose between paintball and airsoft, of course I would pick airsoft. The only advantage that paintball has over airsoft is greater difficulty in cheating. Airsoft has more realistic replicas of weapons and equipment, effective range of airsoft guns is greater and there is more bigger, more serious events which sometimes can contain vehicles as part of a game, at least in Poland.

I've heard about this sport a lot of times. In fact, I was pretty crazy about it when I was a kid and I knew many people who were into it as well. It wasn't anything real since we were still just a kids, but the memories are priceless.
As for these days, I don't think that I would enjoy it as much as I did before. Maybe I would try it, but for the last couple of years, I haven't. I just don't consider this to be something well suited for me.
Out of these two, I would probably still choose airsoft, because the replicas tend to be much more appealing. It also seems to be much cheaper as well as easier to maintain.
I've heard about such sport before but never tried to play, and i think that this game as every competitive game it may bring lots of good emotions

I used to play airsoft for a couple of years. It was really fun to run around the forest, hide inside old buildings and shoot with my friends. When I was in my secondary school it was the most popular hobby, everybody had his own collection of different weapon replicas and full equipment. I tried both paintball and airsoft but the obvious winner is and always was airsoft.

I've heard about this sport, but unfortunately, I have never tried it. I only participated in paintball and I have to admit it's a great, emotional, teamplay sport which require a good physical conditions. I would love to repeat it once more time.

Airsoft sounds cool also, I would love to try it.

I think both of these sports are similar and have a group of fans. It's hard to compare them for me because I've never participated in airsoft.
Airsoft is pretty popular from places that i am from, and i've heard about it more than once. I know i like it, it gives some kind of thrill that you enjoy over and over, makes for a good competition and is just fun. I believe that airsoft is more fun, because the weapons used are more customizable and realistic.

1. Is Airsoft something new for you or have you already heard about it before?
It's something new for me. Thanks for an article.

2. What are your feelings about Airsoft, is it something you would like to try?
I like the idea, so if I'll had an opportunity to try, I would try.

3. Which sport in your opinion is more fun, Paintball or Airsoft? Justify your answer.
I think paintball because of nature of the game. Usually you play with friends and someone will try to cheat, with paintball it's easy to prove hitting. In case of airsoft, better to start with the players who play the game and don't violate the rules.

It is not new, but I knew this game as Strikeball. Sure I love paintball and this is like the next difficulty mode: better tactics , bigger guns, older players. Surely yes! Airsoft is obviously more interesting and more fun because it's closer to the reality which players try to simulate.

I hear about "Airsoft" for the first time. But I really like the concept.

Very good feelings. I've always liked to play paintball, and this is very similar. For sure I would like to try to play it with my friends.

Hard to say. I have never played "Airsaft", but I played paintball often. At the moment I think that both would like me the same, but it's hard to say.
I already came across Airsoft. In my opinion, this is a very interesting and progressive sport. I think that I would not like to try because in my opinion, Airsoft brings more pain than pinball. I like pinball more because we often take part in international meetings when we gather five hundred people and fight on various abandoned bases. It is very cool.
Unknown said…
Of course I have heard about it but I have never participated in it. I have friends who play it. I am very amazed how many people can organize one such meeting. Once reportedly it was over 100 people. it's like a real war. I played a lot of paintball. From time to time I play paintball. In the future, I would like to try Airsoft. I think that these two sports are comparable, but it seems to me that Paintball is funnier because there is paint in it. I’ve laughed many time when someone was shot in the face and he couldn’t see.
Ive heard about it. Whats more i was a fan of it for a long time even had some competetive games with our group.
So when it comes to discussion of Paintball vs Air soft it all comes to what u want out of the sport. First of all Paintball is very casual friendly and easy to get in sport with multiple ways to get in. It also has a lower cost associated with it in the beginning. Paintball is also
is easier to understand, its less strategy heavy and by most is considered safer.
When it comes to Air soft for me the biggest issue was the cost associated with it. Good, usable and fun to use replicas cost a ton. All the accessories can cost u a small fortune and its harder to just take a friend with you when u go play. Finding interesting places to play was a challenge to if u haven't belonged to any club. But in the end i believe that the biggest diffrence came down to cost in Paintball vs Air soft debate.
I heave hear about Airsoft from my friend and I'm find this type of spending time very interesting and I want to try it.
I think that both (Airsoft and paintball) is interesting and I have played in paintball once with my colleagues from work and that was funny.

Is Airsoft something new for you or have you already heard about it before?
Yes, but don't be fooled about the 1970's as a birth of airsoft. It is much older concept, and good example is the Pritchard's Air Gun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCoUWJHhDZ0

What are your feelings about Airsoft, is it something you would like to try?
Maybe, but it is quite expensive. And for me target shooting (on the range) with the live ammunition is much more interesting and requires more concentration.

Which sport in your opinion is more fun, Paintball or Airsoft? Justify your answer.
Airsoft only because of the visual style of the weapons.
I have heard about Air Soft Gun before, and what's more I did play it with my friends a bit. It is very funy game but you need some sort of basic equipment for this. I have heard and seen fields for playing ASG but I don't remember if you could rent guns there. This type of sport is pretty straight forward and it's very exciting, when you're in 1 vs others situtaton the adrenaline boost could be compared to that from jump with parachute or other extreme sport. I think I am more into paintball because you can see easly if you hit someone and when playing ASG you need to trust your "enemies"
to be fair.

Airsoft is something new for me and I have never even heard about it before. I have heard a lot about paintball and even had an opportunity to take part in it but this discipline is new for me. As I understand the main advantage of Airsoft over Paintball is pain reduction which makes it more pleasant for people. But I really like this pain in paintball because it makes your brain think better and analyze more factors in order not to be "killed". I think both these disciples are attractive and I would like to play Airsoft one day but as I said paintball is in favour.

1. Is Airsoft something new for you or have you already heard about it before?
I have obviously heard about ASG, but have never tried it myself. I was always afraid that the bullets would really hurt and also never really got an offer to play with anyone. On the other hand, I've tried paintball several times and it was really nice, so maybe it's worth a try.

2. What are your feelings about Airsoft, is it something you would like to try?
I think that if someone invited me for an ASG game and explained the details thoroughly from the beginning, I would give it a try.

3. Which sport in your opinion is more fun, Paintball or Airsoft? Justify your answer.
It is hard for me to compare, as I've only ever played Paintball, but I think ASG may be better in a sense that it does not destroy and paint your clothes, which can be sometimes a pity.

Is Airsoft something new for you or have you already heard about it before?
I heard about it, but I never try it. I only play wit paintball which was cool.
What are your feelings about Airsoft, is it something you would like to try?
I think yes, I hope it is more precise than paintball which is no precise at all.
Which sport in your opinion is more fun, Paintball or Airsoft? Justify your answer.
I do not know, I never tried Airsoft but it seems ok. In paintball the precision of bullet trajectory is tragic, and if Airsoft is better then in my opinion airsoft could be better.

1. Is Airsoft something new for you or have you already heard about it before?

I have already heard about airsoft and it is really interesting for me. I even had some guns replics but it was more toys than airsoft guns. I hope that one day I will try this hobby because it was always fasctinating for me.

2. What are your feelings about Airsoft, is it something you would like to try?

As I already said, I think that after studies I will have more time and occasion to buy my own guns replic and try this hobby. :)

3. Which sport in your opinion is more fun, Paintball or Airsoft? Justify your answer.

I think that an airsoft is more interesting for me because I watch so many videos of airsoft's battles and usually they have a scenario for them what makes airsoft more interesting for me than a paintball where you only play on a small area.

I've heard about Airsoft few years ago but I never tried to "play" both Airsoft or Paintball but I have a 9mm Beretta so I visit shooting range twice a month for few hours.
I prefer real guns, not toys.

1. Is Airsoft something new for you or have you already heard about it before?

I've heard about it, but I prefer paintball. I know ASG is a kind of a more realistic "sport", but in paintball you can clearly see what you've hit.

2. What are your feelings about Airsoft, is it something you would like to try?

Yes. I will try it when I will have a chance. It sounds fun.

3. Which sport in your opinion is more fun, Paintball or Airsoft? Justify your answer.

Like in my first answer, paintball seems more reasonable for me. But I am just a casual paintball player, so my opinion may not be the best.

Hmm, I have heard something about Airsoft so I can't say that it is something new for me. I have never tried it and I don't want do it because I think that is dangerous. I like sports without weapons :P If I have to choose between Paintball and Airsoft then I will choose Paintball because there you have paint you can look so funny after game.

I remember playing with Airsoft guns few years ago at my friend's garden. It was really fun. I would really love to do it again with my friends. To be honest, I prefer paintball. Why? Well, I don't have any reasonable answer, I just like it more than Airsoft guns ;)
Wojtek Protasik said…
It's not new. I have played it when I was a teenager.

As the name says it's soft. I prefer something more powerful and I would love to shoot regular gun. I know there are alternatives such as weapons that shot gum ammo. You can feel it quite much, which makes the match more serious but still no real harm.

I would prefer paintball. More powerful, more professional, more fun.

I have heard about Airsoft before but never tried it.
For sure it is something exciting and worth trying. But I think that this is not cheap entertainment. Once I wanted to buy some gun and try Airsoft but give up because of prices.
I only tried Paintball, so my opinion is not impartial. But it was really fun and think that Airsoft be as good as Paintball.

1. Is Airsoft something new for you or have you already heard about it before?

I didn't heard about it before.

2. What are your feelings about Airsoft, is it something you would like to try?

I'm rather not fun of games like that. I understand that for people it can be fun but i think that not for me.

3. Which sport in your opinion is more fun, Paintball or Airsoft? Justify your answer.

I think that if i should choose (as I write up i don't like sport like that) i will choose normal paintball.

I enjoy watching youtube videos about all sorts of guns. Some time ago I came across the channel of airsoft sniper, and I have fallen in love with his content. You can feel the nervous atmosphere throughout his moves, his determination to win the matches and involvement into the airsoft world.

It's something I'd like to try with pleasure! I was thinking about reaching up the groups of airsoft lovers to ask them if I could join them.

Both have some upsides and downsides. I've never played airsoft so far, that I can only tell that paintball is fantastic. You will feel as a solder if you've got involved to the match.

I have hear about airsoft many many times and some of my friend are in love in airsoft. They offered me to join their group of airsofters but I have never had time to do it, but for sure it is something i would like to try. It is not so painful as a paintball and there are really big possibilities such as customizing your own weapon. In paintball weapons are not so pretty as in the airsoft. While doing airsoft we are having weapons which looks almost like they are real. We cannot say that airsoft is better than paintball or vice versa. It depend on a person and if I had opportunity and free time I would like to try both.

Week 12 (12.01-18.01.15) Are you an early bird or a night owl ?

Owls are nocturnal creatures. They’re wide awake at night and they sleep during the day. If this sounds like bliss to you, then, like about 20 percent of the population who find themselves most active at around 9 pm, you may fall into the same category as our feathered friend. Night owls often have difficulty waking up in the morning, and like to be up late at night.  Studies of animal behaviour indicate that being a night owl may actually be built into some people’s genes. This would explain why those late-to-bed, late-to-rise people find it so difficult to change their behaviour. The trouble for night owls is that they just have to be at places such as work and school far too early. This is when the alarm clock becomes the night owl’s most important survival tool. Experts say that one way for a night owl to beat their dependence on their alarm clocks is to sleep with the curtains open. The Theory is that if they do so, the morning sunlight will awaken them gently and natura...

Week 11 [03-09.06.2019] The problem with ecological cars emission in UK

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form. These can be particles of sea salt, clouds from the Sahara and artificial compounds made by people. These compounds...
