Week 7 [14.05-20.05.2018] Would you bare the routines of CEOs?

Wealthy super-humans, CEOs of big companies, most of us at least once imagined ourselves being one of them.  They have sports cars, luxurious clothes and huge mansions, but have you ever thought of how their daily life may look? What routines do they have to be able to be relaxed and focused each day? See attempt of guys from BuzzFeed.

Questions:
1. Do you think you could stand the lifestyle presented in the video?
2. Have you ever tried to find out daily routines of successful people in order to make your life more productive?
3. Would you follow any ideas given in the video (or the one you have found yourself) to improve your life?

I hate waking up early, I always wake up as late as possible, so I don't know if I could stand it. ;P But maybe it's just a matter of habit and I would get used to it. I have never tried to find out any daily routines of the successful people, because I don't have a feeling that my life is not productive. I usually do everything that I have to do and also I've got time for some relax, so my day schedule works for me. I think that sleeping 7-8 hours a day is very important and I always try to go to bed on the time that will allow me to get this amount of sleep. I believe also that wearing the same clothes everyday is a nice hack, which could save you some time in the morning, but on the long run it's a bit weird. ;P

I admit that waking up early would be a tough challenge if I tried this lifestyle. But other things presented in the video seem to be just regular stuff that even non-successful people do every day.

I read something about it on a blog some time ago. I think that in order to be more successful you don't need to follow all these daily rules, sometimes what works for somebody doesn't work for you, so you need be aware which of those ideas are applicable for you.

I don't really take this video seriously because of the way the whole idea is presented to the viewer but I guess I should try to follow some of those rules in my life.

Luckily, waking up early isn't a problem for me and I do so every day. Having money, luxurious cars and other things won't make me really happy and that's why I wouldn't like to have their lifes. Other thing is that all the time they have to keep in mind that others are watching them carefully and everyone want to know almost everything about their lifes. I don't want to have my life exposed to such extent that's why I would rather try to lead casual life :)

1. I have no problem waking up early unless it’s dark. A lot of the rules presented in the video was actually useful advice for everyone. Some of it would require some healthy discipline and some I consider completely unnecessary.
2. No, I haven’t. However, I would take advice from people more successful than me and any knowledge in order to create my own daily routine.
3. I’m thinking about following the rule of putting my phone away from my bed. I’m taking a note from some of them. But I’m not going to drastically change my routine especially that I’m not CEO and some things aren’t even applicable to me.

In my opinion, there is a need for motivation for doing anything to succeed. If you are forced to do something within a certain time, then after a while, it becomes a habit, for example, waking up early in the morning.

Success is not like a specific formula that anyone pursues and turns into a successful person. The ability of humans and effort and chance play an important role in the success of humans.

I've always tried to improve my living conditions and income.

I think we live in times where everyone is feeling the peer pressure to a smaller or bigger extent. There is even a new phobia designed only recently, which is a fear of missing out. I admit I have this fear to some degree, and it manifests through the fact that I often try to make myself more productive and want to strive for success in business. However, after watching that video, I am convinced that I could not follow such a strict daily routine. I am not a long sleeper, but waking up at 4 am seems brutal to me. What I do to make myself more productive is I try to keep my life at balance - through doing sports, socializing and spending enough hours daily on intellectual development. I do not use any other tricks, however, that would theoretically support my productivity.
I think, I could. It’s just a matter of time. We all know about 21 day rule and I think it’s just enough to get used to almost any lifestyle. Another question is "Do we really need to follow such lifestyle". To my mind it’s useful to give it a try. Why not to start waking up 10 minutes earlier in the morning in order not to be in a hurry or to go to sleep before 11 what makes your sleep more "productive". It’s always fascinating to try something new.

No, but I always trying to change my daily routines. I just pick up some interesting ideas and facts about how to make the life more productive and try it on my own(not everyone suits me). Some become a habit and some are completely useless for me.

Yes, I would like to try writing down 3 things I am about to do tomorrow. I consider this trick to be extremely amusing and it can boost up productivity significantly.

Do you think you could stand the lifestyle presented in the video?
I think I couldn’t stand this for long time. The worst thing for me it would be waking up at 4 o’clock, I had problem to wake up at 7 every morning. I think the easy part would be with the bath.
Have you ever tried to find out daily routines of successful people in order to make your life more productive?
I try sometimes to start new routines to make my life more productive, some of them were taken from that kind of research.
Would you follow any ideas given in the video (or the one you have found yourself) to improve your life?
Not much, I try to wake up every morning a little bit earlier than before, but thats all.
Meh such strained routine is pretty intense, the hardest part for me would be waking up really early. I think that succesfull people usually achieve success not following some routines of others, but making something new and what is better for themselves so i don't follow any routines of succesfull people cuz i think they will not influence my effectivity. I think that some healthy amount of sports and morning exercises would make wonders for your effectivity.

1. Do you think you could stand the lifestyle presented in the video?
It would be hard... But possible. Of course not in my current living conditions (because I live with night owl in a flat), but in the nearest future why not?

2. Have you ever tried to find out daily routines of successful people in order to make your life more productive?
In fact no - I've only tried to find out, how did they came to success. But maybe I will try to look for more tips than are in this video alone.

3. Would you follow any ideas given in the video (or the one you have found yourself) to improve your life?
I'd like to try it, because it looks like a good start for being a CEO, not only living like CEO. But if we consider I am wearing t-shirts and shorts/jeans every day, then I just started living like them.

Personally, I find this video to be pretty dumb. Being a CEO is not an easy thing, but it's not like we're all the same and one way to cope with everyday challenges would be ideal for everyone out there. I think that demanding from ourselves to become better humans is not a bad thing at all. Every single one of us should find a way to become better at what we're doing and how we live. It doesn't mean that waking up at 4am everyday is a necessity.
I think that I couldn't live like that. Waking up as early in the morning is not for me. I would also feel pretty exhausted after doing some house chores, not to mention that I would have to start my 8 hours of work after that.
Actually, I haven't ever done a research on day-to-day activities of successful people. It may be interesting, but I don't consider it as a way of becoming one of them. If it would be as simple, every single one of us would be rich and famous. I am trying to find a balance between my studies, work and life, though. It's not that simple, either.
As I've said before, I am trying to make my life better and happier. That's why I think I would consider some of my ideas as well as the ones presented in the video. I would probably go for the more pleasant ones, though.

1. Do you think you could stand the lifestyle presented in the video?
If I would have a goal and it would help me to reach that in more effective way than for sure.
2. Have you ever tried to find out daily routines of successful people in order to make your life more productive?
I've tried it a few times but never could make in consistent either my goals changed or my will powers fades away.
3. Would you follow any ideas given in the video (or the one you have found yourself) to improve your life?
I would love to take a bath before night if not all the time then at least occasionally after hard days but unfortunately I don't have bath... Other than that reading before night also looks interesting

Waking up early is one of the biggest challenges for me. I love sleeping... For most of the week I have to do it, but when the weekend comes I like to lay in bed to late hours.

Tim Ferriss "Tools of Titans" is a book about the habits of successful people. I recommend it to everyone who wants to know anything about these people daily routine. However, I believe each of us has got different habits which makes us unique. We shouldn't go into someone's shoes.

1. I think that I would be able to adopt the lifestyle presented in the video. I consider habits concerning going to bed and wake up early as very valuable when you want to be more effective. I guess, I would have a hard time at the beginning of my new schedule, but after few weeks, I would get used to it as to anything else. I am not sure if I would like to dress in a similar outfit everyday as I find it quite tedious.
2. I have tried few routines recommended by successful people, e.g.: when I am about to make important decisions in my life I often use decision matrix. It allows you to compare available options and see a big picture of a problem.
3. I definitely would like to change my bedtime routines and sleep longer and more effectively. Currently, I go to bed at midnight and sleep approximately 6 hours which is not enough and causes me to feel tired during the next day.

I don't like getting up in the morning. I also like to have time for myself, the life of a CEO is hard. But I think that if there was an opportunity, I would like to try it.

Of course. I try often. I like watching different films of people who have been successful. And I try to use their advice.

I often use ideas of such people. For example I try to read books in the evenings.

Recently I’ve read book about businessmen daily routines and I must say it was quite boring. I didn’t expect much, but was just courius what’s in there. I came to the conclusion that there is no recipe for success and everyone has his own routines that make him happier, more motivated and more powerful. One is definitely obvious – you should avoid laziness and routines help in it.
Regarding to the video I found one thing hard to introduce. I hate waking up early. I definitely prefer to work until dawn. But I think it’s also a matter of getting used to.

It's certainly very difficult to change your habits just like that from one day to another. Especially sleeping hours, I have tried to regulate my sleeping hours and to wake up earlier - maybe not 4 am but earlier that I usually do - and it takes a lot of time, maybe even weeks, to feel like it's normal for you.
I never try to copy habits of other people because I think that everyone is different and you have to know yourself to find your own ways that are the most beneficial for you.
The idea of having nice bath everyday seemed really nice ;) wish I had time to implement this "improvement" to my routine.
It is really hard for me to make any kind of habits. The only one i guess is that i'm planning the very next day so i know what is comming next, i know if i'll be bussy or something. If i have less to do then i'm wakeing up pretty late but if i'm planning to go to gym before work its not so hard for me to do it. So, if i had to copy someones habits it would be really tough, i'm always trying to find what suits me best by myself.

1. Do you think you could stand the lifestyle presented in the video?
Sure, at first it is all about creating a habit and then making it your daily routine. In my case it would be hard to e.g. wake up at 4 a.m., but everything can be done with appropriate amount of motivation and ambition.

2. Have you ever tried to find out daily routines of successful people in order to make your life more productive?
No, I have not tried that before, but it might be very interesting and beneficial experiment. I think it is totally worth trying, especially when you see yourself as a successful person in the future.

3. Would you follow any ideas given in the video (or the one you have found yourself) to improve your life?
I think sleeping 7 hours a day would be my lesson from this presentation. It is not about the amount, but the constant and repetitive execution and this is what I do the worst. In addition, an extra hour of sleep per week gives you more chances to get a raise? Say no more.
As much as i believe that there are no stupid questions, there are definitely bad questions.
Would i be capable of changing my lifestyle and upholding it just to imitate a successful persons life? NO But i would take a successful position and get rid of more common problems for a small price of changing my daily routine...
No not really because i have to go shopping, i have to take out trash i have to do a substantial amount of other tasks that they might never do again in their life... I believe it would be counter productive in most cases and in the end lead to depression. If "everybody else" is living like that and i cant keep up am i a worthless person then ?
I did mimic to some extend one trend among successful people: It being i started to buy/wear only plain clothes. T-shirts black/white plain, 10 packs of plain socks, plain hoodies etc. It helps a lot on daily basis u dont have to think "what to wear" instead u can focus on more important things.
I think that lifestyle of CEO persons is created based on performance reasons because they always trying to do their job more effectively and that's why not of everyone can passe this lifestyle. Also I can add that if you made some progress in your job, and you are on the top of your career, you must to be strong and don't be lazy, because sometimes you can feel, that you made everything that you need to do, and you don't need to move on. But that's a big problem for many chefs of there organisations. And the good point will be don't forget about your obligations at work and do all that you can for success future.
To be honest, in a recent period of my life I`m trying to change my lifestyle in the more productive way. That`s why this topic is very relevant for me now.
I think it`s possible to succeed in our lives, this requires specific goals, motivation, and efforts. It is necessary every day to overcome your habits, laziness, and reluctance.

For sure not! At the morning I need some time to cook a breakfast and take shower. My morning routing is slow and stable. And delicious)
I have never tried to find out something about successful people routines. I think the only way to being more productive is to be less lazy. So thats what I try to achieve.
Nope. For some reason i feel strong dislike for all kinds of time management advises from other people. Yeah, it works for them, but I have my own system that works for me!

1. I think it would be very hard. It's a very responsible job and a lifestyle, it's hard for me to even think about living like that.
2. No. I am trying to live by myself, and to have my own lifestyle. It's better for me I think.
3. No. It's also about living by myself. I'm trying to live my own life, not like the other people.
I want this lifestyle and i'm moving forward to reach that life. Surely,i want to try it. And as i said i keep moving to it.I strongly believe that one day my life will be so productive and my labor will be reared. I'm always listening to all the ideas and advices people give me,of course if this person is already a guy who reached something in his/her life.

There is always a place for improvement, you can be even more productive. That's true, you might be received as a weirdo, but should we think about other people opinions when it comes to self-benefits? ;)
Unknown said…
I'm jealous, I don't have time to take a bath each day!
That's true, but maybe it's worth to try each of these to see which one works for you?
Unknown said…
That's an excellent habit to learn from more experienced people! Keep it up!
Unknown said…
That's true that, doing anything to succeed matters. The problem is most of the people do not think of productivity. You can work for 12 hours in one day and do less than others at the same level do in 2 days working for just 6 hours. It's effortless to get into the wrong circle of actions and forget about the balance which is very important to be focused and improve yourself.
Unknown said…
Very clever approach. Sounds like you had some experience and had time to think about what's best works for you ;)
Unknown said…
I'm pleased that I shared an exciting topic with you! ;)
Unknown said…
The tendency to find new points of views is enough to make your life better in the long term! ;)
Unknown said…
I think the case here is that we need to find a proper approach for ourselves. Seeing others people ideas might help you find your own. Successful people often have a long history with lots of defeats, so maybe the most important thing is not to give up?
Unknown said…
I'm more than happy to hear that I might encourage you to improve your life! ;)

The path to success is long, and each one is different. Maybe to increase your changes you should start with the basics and these people motivations? :P
Unknown said…
I see these habits more as a guide how to bare lots of stress and hard work. 8 hours of action is for workers, being a CEO you are working mostly 24/7. That's why it's so important to find time for yourself to tidy your mind.

After watching this video that inspired mi the most i can tell that in 100% a could stand this lifestyle even with a child. that simple fact that i would do every quick stuff in the beginning and then be productive for my work during the day makes mi more motivated to start this right now. I'm sure that i'm starting this today till a finish my bachelor. Before I never thought about it . I was depressed and tho only thing was to sleep sleep and sleep all the time . I always woke up tired. I will definitely follow the waking up early and cleaning in the end of the day. Its a good organization . Also I think I will choose the same outfits for the day and maybe some workout.

Week 12 (12.01-18.01.15) Are you an early bird or a night owl ?

Owls are nocturnal creatures. They’re wide awake at night and they sleep during the day. If this sounds like bliss to you, then, like about 20 percent of the population who find themselves most active at around 9 pm, you may fall into the same category as our feathered friend. Night owls often have difficulty waking up in the morning, and like to be up late at night.  Studies of animal behaviour indicate that being a night owl may actually be built into some people’s genes. This would explain why those late-to-bed, late-to-rise people find it so difficult to change their behaviour. The trouble for night owls is that they just have to be at places such as work and school far too early. This is when the alarm clock becomes the night owl’s most important survival tool. Experts say that one way for a night owl to beat their dependence on their alarm clocks is to sleep with the curtains open. The Theory is that if they do so, the morning sunlight will awaken them gently and natura...

Week 11 [03-09.06.2019] The problem with ecological cars emission in UK

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form. These can be particles of sea salt, clouds from the Sahara and artificial compounds made by people. These compounds...
