Week 10 [29.05-04.06.2017] - Salesforce – CRM in Cloud

Salesforce – CRM in Cloud
Salesforce is application to help company to managment customer and simplify sort every transaction and potential transaction. Basic Salesforce application consists only few funcion which probably will be develop. In Salesforce we have tab Account which represent our Customer. To Account we have assign Contact tab where we should add person who represent that company. We can also add some potential transaction to customer which inform us that this company may be interesting out product. Is very good functionality because we have all transaction in one place and we dant have to check a lot of document and files. Without CRM we will hold our data in for example Excel or Word and to find something we will waste much more time then we hold our data in CRM. This application is in cloud so we connect to this application in browser without any configuration. Salesforce also allow us to create external application which is base on application.

Devevelopment
If we want to create our external application we have a lot of functionality to do this. Salesforce programming language is APEX which is very similar to Java with some external library. Our Database we can create by add object to special tab and add a lot of field (500 max).  Because this application is in cloud we dont need to add URL to connect to Database but only add our SQL query in this special tag for example: [Select id,Name from Account]. This query get for us every account in Database and get field id and Name. Is very simple because we dont need to use special class but only this tags. In front end development we can use Salesforce tags but we can also use HTML tags with CSS and Javascript. If we want change some little thing we can also put and drop some function on page layout (button or links) and add execute funtion to it. Salesforce can be integrate with external application which every transaction in external application can be save in Salesforce and it really simplify people works.

Profits
I think the most of you thinks why we should buy expensive CRM because we can hold every data in much cheaper programmas. With CRM your company can easier manage data of your customers and get new potential customer because Salesforce can inform you about company who interesting product which you sell and save this information in Database. This application is global CRM product which competitive with company like ORACLE.

Will you interests Salesforce after this presentation ?? Have you ever works with CRM ?? Will you learn APEX programming language and you want to develop application like that ?? What do you think about this CRM ?? Can you compare application like that with other CRM like for example SIEBEL ??

I don't trust anything in the cloud. I have never used cloud for anything. From time to time you hear about people who steal data from cloud.
About Salesforce it's interesting way. It makes our work easier when we have all information in one place. It's ok that we can connect other applications. About cloud I don't like when I take photo on Iphone it is very quickly in the cloud.

I spend 3 months working for company developing in Apex. It is nice product, and I think companies can save much money using it. When you have your own environment you need to take care of everything: hardware, admins, closed network, database and software. It is a lot of money, and even more for employees who will take care of it. In cloud-based CRM you pay only for licenses and software developers. Personally I prefer Java, for its recently introduced funcional programming flavour.

Really? How do you use email? Where do you keep it? What about attachments?
It's not directly use of cloud, because e.g. you don't use Google Drive or Dropbox, but still - it is in a cloud. What's more, you said you don't like when your photo is sent to the cloud. So despite you don't want, you use it.

I can agree that from time to time we hear about stealing data, but in my opinion using cloud is inevitable. More and more data is kept in the cloud and we have to get used to it. Despite the fact that I worry about my privacy. Especially this one connected with data saved in the cloud.
To be honest, I'm not interested in CRM systems too much, probably because there has never been such a need for me to use them so far. If you have a wider ranger of customers, you're right that it is indeed a must have.
I also agree with Paweł that choosing cloud-based solutions helps save a lot of efforts, human resources, time and thus money. Installation, setup and maintenance of your own environment is usually cumbersome and time consuming. On the other hand I agree with Filip that you have to be aware of the consequences of putting all your sensitive data online. This implies, to a greater or lesser degree, loss of your privacy.

I'm not really interested in CRM as well. But working in the cloud, using this is really useful and I like it. When everything is instantly sent to the cloud, you don't panic when your phone cracks or something happen to your computer. You know that your stuff is all safe in the cloud, and you can always get to it from any other device with the connection to the Internet. That's easy. Of course is it safe to use, is another aspect, and topic to discuss. I think that putting there some pictures from the vacation is okay, but sending our private sensitive data to the cloud might be not so good idea. Unless we are 100% sure it is totally safe. But in the Internet we cannot be so sure about safety of our data.
I like very much all cloud based services. There are more and more cloud services and I find it incredibly useful. Cloud based services can really make company more profitable because of saving a lot of money. I’m not really interested in CRM but I think that the Saleforce is a really nice product.

Yes I know this CRM. In company where I work we have big Salesforce team. I work in experience, design and strategy team and now we make some service where we use their help, for example they provide us some parts of the site such as forum. I know that a lot of our clients use Salesforce because is really comfortable.

I will not interest Salesforce after this presentation. Not because this presentation was bad :) but I'm not working in any big corporation. I was working with a few CRM. Maybe in future when my apps will grow I will use CRM, maybe Salesforce.
I heard about Salesforce, because one of my friends worked with that. I'm not planning to work as a programmer, but maybe on my own I will try it out. I have never tried any of CRM tools.

I'm interested in CRM as well and in cloud technologies. I want to try it, but in my work wasn't such a big need in its use:(
Maybe I use this CRM for my own applications, because looks like it is very flexible and easy to customize, as for me the most useful function of this CRM is the possibility of viewing every facet of customer interactions.

I have never been interested in such topics, maybe because I don't use it in my life. Now I tried to understand what Salesforce is and it is quite interesting, so thank you. In XXI century you have to watch the new technologies and trends every day to keep well-informated. But shame on me - I don't use Cloud, because I don't trust it.
I'm not interested at all in this. Cloud is all nice and fancy but it always costs a fortune to maintain, and building your own "mini cloud" made from dedicated solutions usually is much cheaper in long-run than handling your data to third-party and relying on third-party solutions.

To be honest, I'm not really interested in it. I haven't used any CRM app, so I can't compare it. APEX language? I haven't heard about this language, I think I won't need it in my developer life.

Cloud may seem to be safe but i think that it's not. It's still somehow connected to the network and hacking it is not much difficult than hacking a PC.
Salesforce makes our work easier when we have all information in one place so it's quite interesting in comparision to cloud. One of it's core things that make me interested in it is that we can connect other applications to this.
And although i don't like cloud i use it. For example in games or e-mail as some platforms don't really give us a choice in that matter.

I know that clous is a great and handy thing, but I can't use it - I thing that this is too new for me to use it consciously. I'm aware how it sounds, but this is how I feel about this technology. I know that cloud has got many pros - you're uploading some file whereever you are, and you can use it wherever you are. You don't have to take care of some other device, for example pendrive - you're almost free! But I don't know how it is with safety, so I would be aware with uploading some sensitive data

I've heard about Salesforce before but still not sure what this all fuss is about. I guess I'd have to try it myself, although managing all the data and customers relationships integrated into one system sounds nice. I can't say "deveveloping" in APEX is my dream, so I'll pass on that but I might try different CRM at work called "MS Dynamics" (CRM/ERP) and gain more knowledge about this topic then.
I don't really need something like salesforce, but this product is really interesting for someone who needs it. I haven't work with crm and i don't want to learn apex language. The biggest pros of this product is that it's cloud based so we have an access to all data from everywhere.

The presentation is very interesting and could potentially encourage readers to do some extra research on the subject.
I have previously worked with CRM and have an extended knowledge in this field.
I personally think APEX programming is the skill of the future and I would definitely like to learn and further develop my knowledge.

I'm not interested in Salesforce and have never had a chance to know better. I'm not a fan of Cloud solutions (yes, I know mail services for example are in Cloud). Unfortunately I've never had an opportunity to work with any CRM.
Sounds interesting. How about the safety of that solution ? Were there serious security leaks in the past monitored ? Do you know anything about the implementations and usage costs of it ?

I hardly use cloud solutions (knowingly, I know that some stuff that I use probably uses the technology) and from the looks of it I hope I'll never have to work with Salesforce, CRM or any of that stuff, looks like something an evil, soulless corporation would use to control it's thralls.

At this moment I don’t need to use a CRM. It seems to be interesting for someone who is working with many clients or have his own platform. Maybe in the future I will consider this. It is good to know that something like this is existing.

Week 11 [03-09.06.2019] The problem with ecological cars emission in UK

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form. These can be particles of sea salt, clouds from the Sahara and artificial compounds made by people. These compounds often come fr

Week 12 (12.01-18.01.15) Are you an early bird or a night owl ?

Owls are nocturnal creatures. They’re wide awake at night and they sleep during the day. If this sounds like bliss to you, then, like about 20 percent of the population who find themselves most active at around 9 pm, you may fall into the same category as our feathered friend. Night owls often have difficulty waking up in the morning, and like to be up late at night.  Studies of animal behaviour indicate that being a night owl may actually be built into some people’s genes. This would explain why those late-to-bed, late-to-rise people find it so difficult to change their behaviour. The trouble for night owls is that they just have to be at places such as work and school far too early. This is when the alarm clock becomes the night owl’s most important survival tool. Experts say that one way for a night owl to beat their dependence on their alarm clocks is to sleep with the curtains open. The Theory is that if they do so, the morning sunlight will awaken them gently and naturally.

James Veitch is a British comedian. Questions: What do you think about James’s  way of dealing with spam? Why are junk messages legal, even though it sometimes may be a fraud? Dou you have a problem with spam? How do you deal with with it?
