The basics
SGC
In Stargate Movie (1994) main antagonist is the Egyptian "god" Ra living on planet of Abydos. He is worshipped by indigenous people of abydos which have cultural resemblence to people living in Ancient Egypt. Humans from Earth destroyed Ra's ship and freed the people of Abydos.
Aliens and Gods
In TV-series Stargate SG-1 we dig down deeper into the Stargate Universe. Egyptian Gods happen to be alien parasitic species known as the Goa'uld. Goa'uld are snake-like creatures that "possess" a host. They subdue their victims and lock up their personality, claiming a victim's body as their own. The host organism possess unhuman strength, regenerative abilities.
Goa'ulds in ancient times transported humans from Earth (Tau'ri) to other planets under their own dominion. These people were ought to worship them and serve forever.
Whole series presents many human gods from various mythologies e.g. Thor, Ra, Anubis, Loki, Yu, Ba'al, Osiris, Apophis and many more.
Trivia
Richard Dean Anderson, executive producer and the actor who played Jack O'Neill (with 2 l's as he reminded in the series) in 2004 was granted honorary rank of Brigadier General of Air Force for presenting Air Force in positive light.

2. I must admit that I watched A LOT of series during the pandemic. Fortunately, I mostly watch them as a background to working on projects, so I don't feel like wasting to much time, however, I would probably get things done faster without the series... Most recently I rewatched Sense8, a beautiful series made by Wachowskis sisters about a group of people that are somehow connected through their minds. There are characters from Korea, UK, India and even from Kenya. Wachowskis insisted to record at the locations rather than on greenscreen so the series feels like an epic world adventure. I solely recommend it, I just must warn you, it's... not for kids ;)
3. I like the concept but as science-fiction. I know some people are really believing that aliens must have build pyramids in Egypt and those in Mexico because they are so similar and humans back then didn't have a chance to exchange information over such distances. However, the pyramid structure is just the simplest way to achieve a bigger structure. Laws of physics are the same all over the planet, so they just came up with the same idea. Such as the invention of fire and growing food, it happened more or less simultaneously in many regions, not spread from just one place. Also, pyramids in Egypt are about 4500 years old and oldest Mexico pyramides are 3000-year-old so why would aliens just build them and leave to come back in the 1500 year, build some more and never come back again? This theory doesn't stick ;) it is fun tho.
Thank you for your comment :)
I've watched almost whole 10 seasons of SG-1, this series has kind of 90's/early 2000 vibe but surely it's worth watching.
I've watched first season of Sense8 and sadly couldn't get into 2nd season, that was little too big difference for me.
I've heard of it, but I was never encouraged enough to give the series a shot. After this article though I will propably watch it.
2. What series have you binge watched during pandemic?
Oh, there are a lot of series that I've watched during the pandemic. The ones that I believe are worth mentioning are "The Office" and "Great Pretender". Recently I've binge watched "Lupin", it's really fun to watch.
3. What do you think about alien origin of mythological gods?
I don't think I would believe in alien origin of mythological gods, but it's a nice scenario for a TV show, as shown by "Stargate"
Yes, I've used to be a fan, started watching it as a child (SG-1) and then Atlantis and SG:Unvierse as a teen. I think the Stargate Universe is a great introduction to the sci-fi genre and it definitely helped fostere my imagination when I was younger.
2.
I don't really watch tv series anymore, so unfortunatly I haven't binge watched any shows lately.
3.
It's an interesting idea, worth giving some consideration, even though it's definitely controversial in scientific and archeology circles. I think there could be some influence from aliens in ancient times.
