1.Did you know what easter eggs are before watching the video?
Yes, I play or at least used to play a lot of games and I find some by myself.

2.Have you ever found an easter egg, even if you didn't know something like easter eggs existed? What game was it?
Many times, in Fallout New Vegas, Witcher games, Metro franchise, Dying Light and a lot more. From the ones I remember to find by myself was the Star Wars IV reference in Fallout New Vegas, the skeletons of Owen and Beru or EXPcalibur from Dying Light.

3.Are you the type of person who is looking for easter eggs in games at all costs?
Maybe not at all costs, but it's fun to find one of those, especially without the help from the internet. If you understand the reference it is even better.
I’m a gamer so I know the definition of easter eggs very well. Besides, they’re not that new to pop culture – they were found in numerous movies or paintings way before the gaming industry became a thing. It seems that people tend to leave hidden messages or signs for other people to find and understand. There’s something nice about it, the whole mystery around and the feeling that you’re practically using a code for only a part of your viewers to understand.

Of course I did! I think one of the most “easter-egg-filled” game might be the Witcher 3, and now maybe Cyberpunk. CDP Red likes to fill their games with little connections to their other productions or to our culture. I’ve literally had the best fun playing The Witcher 3 – Hearts of Stone DLC, which is absolutely dripping with allegories and links to Polish literature and folklore (“Wesele” by Stanisław Wyspiański, the legends about Jan Twardowski, “Potop” by Sienkiewicz and way more). In Cyberpunk it took me like an hour to find a link to The Witcher 3, there’s a lot of arcade games with a game called “Roach race”, which is obviously about the horse of Geralt, Roach, and it’s playing an 8-bit version of “Geralt of Rivia” soundtrack.

I’m not an easter egg hunter, but I like to find them once in a while and sometimes I’m digging deeper to find some, but it’s not my usual way. I enjoy the accidental discovery of them, the feeling of excitement and surprise when you just bump into a link to a movie you know or to a song you used to listen to. It’s that feeling of Captain America in the Avengers movie, shouting “I understood that reference!”. ;)
1. I'm a gamer so yeah, I know what easter eggs are and I think they're really great.

2. Yes, I found easter eggs in many games. For example, in the Polish game Dying Light you can find Magda Gessler's kitchen knife.

3. I'm the type of gamer who just plays the game and enjoys the game. I'm not looking for easter eggs, unless one is really interesting and interested me.
1.Did you know what easter eggs are before watching the video?

Yes. I'm really into playing and developing games, so it was pretty obvious. Since I learned this term, I was always really excited, when I found something like that in my favourite games. I'm not a good observer, so those easter eggs have to be more visible for me to notice, but there are some people that make the whole posts about many different easter eggs in games, so it's always fun to check them out.

2.Have you ever found an easter egg, even if you didn't know something like easter eggs existed? What game was it?

I'm really into indie games, so probably no one will know what am I talking about, but the coolest easter eggs for me in REalM Walk of Soul, where you could notice a lot of Yume Nikki easter eggs because the game was inspired by it.

3.Are you the type of person who is looking for easter eggs in games at all costs?

I'm trying, but as I said before, I'm not a good observer, and it's really easy for me to miss a lot of small details. So usually I just immerse myself into the game, and completely forget about looking for more interesting elements.

Currently, Cyberpunk 2077 has become an easter egg mine. The best part is that only Poles will understand a significant part of them. There are even references to Testoviron or Paweł Jumper

@Igor Goryszewski
I've never heard of Magda Gessler's knife in dying light even though I played the game. I even looked on the internet but I can't find anything interesting. Maybe you managed to find an easter egg about which there is not even information on the internet :)

1. I knew what easter eggs are because I am a console and computer gamer. Easter eggs are hidden messages posted by the developers and are a way to pass some information to the biggest fans of the game who spent many hours in the game.
2. I found a lot of easter eggs but the most memorable is the easter egg found in The Witcher 3. While carrying out some missions in the end of the world, I came across a note from the developers of the game who thanked for choosing their game and apologized for all mistakes.
3. I'm not really looking for easter eggs. If I find one it is very nice, but it can be a bit tiring to see them everywhere. The Easter egg is the most pleasant when it is a surprise and is a reward for having fun with the game, not when it is information found on the internet.

Yep!

Have you ever found an easter egg, even if you didn't know something like easter eggs existed? What game was it?
I don't know if I ever had found one before knowing that they exists... I've probably found one that was funny and I knew it was made for a joke.

Are you the type of person who is looking for easter eggs in games at all costs?

Not really, I don't like wasting time on games so I wouldn't do that for searching for the easter eggs. The game companies are trying to make you play the game as long as possible so, it seems it is a good strategy to place easter eggs all over the maps.

1. Easter eggs are the best there can be. I always welcome such references to other creations in games. Especially if such an easter egg refers to my favorite movie or another game that I like very much. I think not one player who found one got a smile on his face if he knew what was going on.

2.Honestly, there were a lot of them, but since I haven't played games for a while, I haven't remembered about any of them. I had to remember what easter eggs happened to me in the game of witcher because there were the most of them there. One example of an easter egg was when Geralt on a skellige got to the Kaer Almhult island to the castle there. During the exploration, one of the bodies could find the key to the sky cell. In this cell, you could find a halfling similar to Tyrion Lanister from Game of Thrones. The entire scene reproduced the actual episode from the show. Cool thing :)

3.Rather not, I bet more on fun and having fun playing the game. I'm not a hardcore gamer who wants to find some easter eggs at all costs.
1. I love Easter eggs! I knew about it prior to reading this article and watching its video. It's a lot of fun! They are basically a referencing joke popular in comedy shows and parody cartoons.
2. I've found a lot of Easter eggs in some games. Some games have more of them, and some games unfortunately have none. For me, it's a lot funnier for a game to have some rather than not.
3. I wouldn't necessarily look for them in games. I just play the games, and when I see an Easter egg, it makes me giggle. Sometimes I watch videos on YouTube showing some of the funniest Easter eggs in games.
Mateusz Szych said…
1. Yes, I did. I've known about it for a long time, I don't even know from when.
2. I don't remember finding anything like that until I knew what it was. I have found easter eggs for a long time, but I do it consciously.
3. No, I only find easter eggs by chance. However, sometimes I read about easter eggs in some games. I even follow a few fanpages on facebook and instagram that focus on publishing easter eggs.
1.Did you know what easter eggs are before watching the video?
Yes, I’ve known about them. I’m a gamer for a long time and I’ve played a lot of games, so it was a matter of time when I sportowe the first one.
2.Have you ever found an easter egg, even if you didn't know something like easter eggs existed? What game was it?
As I said before I was aware of easter eggs pretty early in my gaming experience, so I can tell you an easter egg that I found myself in Diablo There was something like a arena where you could fight with other players 1v1 and to do so you would have to approach to a character that would teleport you there. And this character would describe you what he does and tell you one rule of this arena which was to not talk about the arena which is an obvious reference to a Tyler Durden’s fight club (from the movie and book: Fight Club) where this rule was the first and the second rule to follow.
3.Are you the type of person who is looking for easter eggs in games at all costs?
Well I like easter eggs very much, but I wouldn’t consider myself as a person who wants to find them at all costs.
Yes, I even found some of them myself.

In The Witcher 3, there is one NPC that is voiced by Krystyna Czubówna. In Far Cry 3, there is one man buried in sand and only his head is visible. And in Cyberpunk, there is "Retro Gaming" magazine that has Geralt on its cover. These are the ones that come to my head, if I would focus probably I would be able to give more examples.

No, I'm just trying to enjoy games. If I find any easter egg it's just luck or accident.

1.Did you know what easter eggs are before watching the video?
Yes, I went through and through few games so I learned about it naturally while playing.

2.Have you ever found an easter egg, even if you didn't know something like easter eggs existed? What game was it?
I have found many of those, a few off the top of my head are:
- car model and a sign behind the orc palisade in Gothic 2
- hidden lairs of Rattman in Portal & Portal 2 (rooms that are hard to find with walls covered in bizarre diagrams and notes)
- character named David Artensborrow in Witcher 3 which calls mistakens boar for a bear. Obviously a reference to David Attenborough - an English broadcaster and natural historian.

3.Are you the type of person who is looking for easter eggs in games at all costs?
I leave no stone unturned if I enjoy the game very much. It doesn't exactly mean I look for easter eggs specifically but rather than I try not to miss any important items/gear for my character which make me come across many of the easter eggs added to the games.

1.Did you know what easter eggs are before watching the video?
Yeah I knew about i before watching the video. I consider it as a really funny thing, especially when you discover it by yourself. There are different kinds of easter eggs but the ones that make you smily are simply the best :)

2.Have you ever found an easter egg, even if you didn't know something like easter eggs existed? What game was it?
I have found a few. Like for example when i was playing Diablo III I discovered a special cow level which was firstly hidden in Diablo II. I was sure it doesn't exist in the third one but hey - it actually does! I was really happy when i found it by mistake.
The other one was in Dark Souls 2, there was some special slimy wall that had hidden Heineken can displayed in it

3.Are you the type of person who is looking for easter eggs in games at all costs?
I'm more of an achievement hunter, in some cases i prefer to make every possible challange the game offers. It gives some kind of a fake accomplishment feeling ^^
1. Yes, I met easter eggs much earlier because I am a person who used to play quite a lot of games. The titles that I played gave me a lot of fun when I found an interesting reference related to another world or subject in them.

2. There were a lot of easter eggs that I found in the games. Some quickly disappeared from my memory, while others I remembered for a long time. When I hear about interesting references in games, I immediately think of an easter egg in the game Witcher 2. An interesting fact is that there is a character named “Naizpud” in the game, whose reflection in the real world is Mariusz Pudzianowski. The creators of the game decided to have fun with the pseudonym of the boxer “Pudzian” by writing it from the back and placing it in the Witcher 2. Of course, the whole action was carried out with the consent of Mr. Mariusz.

3. No, I do not explore the game space just to look for easter eggs. When I play, I try to focus on the free passage of the game without any pressure in looking for interesting references. However, when I find and understand an Easter egg myself without the help of the Internet, I am very happy and satisfied.

1. Surely, I did.

2. Yes, I have found many easter eggs, especially in Rockstar games. The latest I found a hobbit's hole in Red Dead Redemption

3. Are you the type of person who is looking for easter eggs in games at all costs?

3. No, I am glad to find easter-eggs, but I almost never do it on purpose. I prefer to google all easter-eggs, if the game worth it.

1. Yes I did. I think it's a trend for last couple of years to add easter eggs, as they are easy to make and then they get gamer's attention.

2. I think my first contact with easter eggs was back in GTA San Andreas, when I was just roaming through it. I came up one of the highest points in game, just ot find sprayed out text "There is nothing here, go away". I was offended and amused at the same time. After that, there were many easter eggs. Right now, there are tons (literally, tons) of easter eggs in cyberpunk. Fun fact: many of those easter eggs are connected to only-polish memes or videos.

3. Well, I'm not looking for easter eggs, although I always try to see and try out everything in the game. So as I'm not looking for easter eggs, I often find them. And due to being huge movie/series buff, I think i recognize most of them.

Probably the coolest video so far on the English course :)

1. Of course yes! I have been playing video games since I was little. In different games, you can meet different easter eggs and meet them at different frequencies. I think easter eggs are a very interesting addition to games. You can pick up a lot of fun with them and in addition they allow companies to gain more publicity for their game creations.

2. I found a lot of easter eggs. I remember well when I was playing Skyrim looking at the shelf and there was a large piece of cheese that looked like Pacman eating little pieces of garlic. It was extremely fun. Recently in Cyberpunk I found a reference to the famous youtube video "Paweł Jumper". It is very interesting that an ordinary amateur funny video has gone so viral that it has kind of become part of our culture and deserves to be featured in the greatest games in the world.

3. Probably not. If I come across one, that's great. If not, then no. I'm not looking for them at any cost. Video games have a lot more, at least for me. Easter eggs in my opinion are nice additions that additionally add color to the game and make it a bit more fun.
1. Of course! I've always been a gamer. Easter eggs can very often be found in movies and TV series, and even paintings. In fact, you can place references in every text of culture.

2. It would be incredibly hard to remember all of them right now, but I'm sure it's a huge list. Very often discovering easter eggs is associated with obtaining rare achievements in a video game. As a person who likes when 100% of achievements are displayed on the profile, I encounter them very often.

3. I am not looking for them specifically, but often in games they are placed in a very obvious and sometimes even offensive way. However, I remember that for the premiere of the movie "Ready Player One", which is very strongly associated with the pop culture of players, I participated in a project on reddit, the aim of which was to list all the characters from video games that appeared in the film. Ready Player One is one big easter egg. The list of characters from games, movies and cartoons in that movie was endless and had hundreds of items. Usually it was easy to remember the titles of the works where the characters came from, but sometimes you had to spend a lot of time searching all the Asian fighting games from 1999-2005 to find the name of the character that was removed by the creators during the production process :D
After this adventure, I do not have patience to look for hidden meanings, but I still appreciate when the creators decide to place a subtle reference to their favorite childhood game.

1. Yeah, I knew, because I'm not a professional gamer, but I have played quite a lot of different games, I am a little bit into geek culture and even that story about first Easter Egg is now well-known because of Ready Player One film.
2. Well, yeah, of course, I have found some, just accidentally, cause a lot of them aren't hidden. Usually, it's a reference to a well-known (or not) masterpiece of literature, art, movie etc.
3. No, I'm definitely not. Sometimes I'd like to hunt for some achievements which are common in Steam and PS community - it's cool to see "Achievement unlocked" pop-up. Moreover, it's more about the skill that time spending if to compare with easter eggs. So I like eggs, but only when they are for flavour purposes.
1.Did you know what easter eggs are before watching the video?
Actually I’ve discovered it quite recently. I knew that whatever they were existed, but I didn’t know the proper name. My boyfriend once used that terminology in terms of Fallout series and explained to me what is the Easter egg in gaming terms. :)

2.Have you ever found an easter egg, even if you didn't know something like easter eggs existed? What game was it?
I’ve found one in “Saint’s Row 3”. It was a secret room in a gun store with a special weapon and poster of a whole developer team. I personally believe that in almost every game you can find some easter eggs. I’ve found some of them in Witcher 3. For example when you are playing additional game content from “Blood and wine” extension, you can find in one mission a tissue with “D.L.C” initials drawn on it. D.L.C usually means extension, or additional content itself. :) Sometimes easter eggs are hidden in some game missions so you can find them easily, but unfortunately they are usually hidden somewhere, where the mission wouldn’t lead you. So if you want to find some, you need to apply some explorers instincts, looking in every possible corner in the game.

3.Are you the type of person who is looking for easter eggs in games at all costs?
Definitely no. I used to explore games in every possible way, but now I wouldn’t do that. Maybe if the game was truly mindblowing, but for now I have a very limited free time, probably like most of my colleagues, so when I play something, I simply want to play. I’m quite a speed runner now, and I don’t play a lot of games nowadays. If I discover something I am happy, of course. But I don’t have any pressure to look for the Easter eggs at all cost.
Leya Chechyk said…
1.Yes, I did. A funny thing is I didn’t know how it’s called in English. I thought it’s just a Russian slang and originally there is no connection with eggs and Easter.

2.I guess I did but I also didn’t pay much attention to it as I don’t really find them so interesting and fun as most people do. I probably found some while I was playing Skyrim of World of Warcraft

3. No, I am not. Most of the times I just enjoy the game, its plot and core. I don’t find it entertaining looking for small delicate “presents” from developers.

1. Obviously. My bachelor thesis was about games history so I even knew the story.

2. Since I knew what easter eggs are I sometimes look for them. I haven't found any hidden rooms, to be honest, however, I found many out of place objects that could be counted as easter eggs. Lately in Half-Life: Alyx I found a garden gnome in the trash. It was quite creepy and, for those of you who don't know the game, it didn't suit the mood at all. That's why I believe developers put it there for fun.

3. No. I like them but I'm rather the person that looks at textures and models and forgets to play. I hope to become a game developer when I finish my studies. To be fair, I don't really care for story in the game, I can appreciate it, however, the most important aspect are the content, level design and altogether the appearance of the game. I can't help it, I sometimes get lost in cyberpunk because I follow some crazy looking character and forget about the mission.

1. Yes I know them . Just like the eggs left in many secret places during Easter, Gamers have their own in videogames. Mostly it can be a funny reference to another game, movie, TV show or other type of contemporary pop culture, even memes.
2. I found it in more than one game. Although a specific example can be an Easter Egg in downloadable content to Witcher III Wild Hunt called Blood and Wine. At some point in a story I found a reference to another game called Dark Souls. It was a lit bonfire with a sword in it. That is a well-known place of refuge that can be helpful for players in a challenging game such as Dark Souls itself.
3. No I am not this kind of player. Form the most important is a story and gameplay. Any Easter Egg that I found was more accidental than researched.
1.Did you know what easter eggs are before watching the video?

Yes, I knew what an easter egg was before watching the video. I find this as a very cool form of hiding all kinds of hidden stuff in video games.

2.Have you ever found an easter egg, even if you didn't know something like easter eggs existed? What game was it?

Sure I found easter eggs. When I was younger and I had no idea they were called that, then I was glad that I found a character from another universe in one game. Those were fun times. Avoiding larger spoilers, in the latest CD Projekt Red production, I managed to find the character of Hideo Kojim and a reference to his latest production: Death Stranding, where you can see BB - only for the insiders :)

3.Are you the type of person who is looking for easter eggs in games at all costs?

Yes and no. It really depends on the type of game. During the fps game, I focus on the plot and the main tasks. Then I do not wonder if the game developers hid an 'egg' in the corner of the map or captured a meme or a curiosity from another game for their production. However, I take a different approach during MMO games or with an open world and a lot of freedom. Then I largely devote my time to finding all the flavors in the game, at the cost of even stretching the plot to several dozen or several hundred hours.

2.Have you ever found an easter egg, even if you didn't know something like easter eggs existed? What game was it?

I found many easter eggs in various games, but I liked the ones from the witcher 3 the most, e.g. in some place on the map you could find a rabbit around which a dead body was lying, which was a direct reference to the popular scene from monty python
movie.

3.Are you the type of person who is looking for easter eggs in games at all costs?

No. I just play the game and don't focus on looking.

1.Did you know what easter eggs are before watching the video?
Yes, I did. When i play a video game I love to look for easter eggs, it's fun when you are able to find one.

2.Have you ever found an easter egg, even if you didn't know something like easter eggs existed? What game was it?
Oh, I've found a lot of easter eggs over the years. Over the last week I've been playing Cyberpunk 2077, and it's full of easter eggs. My favourite one in this game is a reference to The Office, one of my favourite tv shows. You can see it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3oYva9dCGrk . If you are a fan of the show I'm sure you will like that easter egg.

3.Are you the type of person who is looking for easter eggs in games at all costs?
Not at all cost, but I usually keep my eyes open for easter eggs.
1. Yes, I know this term, and I have come across this in games and cartoons. Easter eggs are easy to spot as they stand out from the crowd. More often than not, it is absurd for the project you are playing.
2. Yes, I very often noticed or found these Easter eggs in games myself. Of the last that I can recall, from the last game Cyberpunk 2077, a reference to the immortal classics of Ilf and Petrov can be found in the prologue of the nomad. Immediately after you leave the garage and reach the radio tower, climb up. There, near the distributor, on the beam it will be written “Kisa and Osya were here” - the characters from “The Twelve Chairs” still left their message in the end. Even if not in the Caucasus mountains.
3. Yes, I often study the created worlds very carefully. And I often spend my free time on a detailed study and finding such Easter eggs.
1.Did you know what easter eggs are before watching the video?

Yes I did and I think they are very creative way to provide gamers with more fun. I also think that because of easter eggs they might get more connected with the game.

2.Have you ever found an easter egg, even if you didn't know something like easter eggs existed? What game was it?

I recently found an amazing easter egg inside CyberPunk2077. I don't want to spoil it for anyone but it concerns The Office, US version of the show. The fun thing about is that it is a whole mission, optional of course - that is why it is an easter egg.

3.Are you the type of person who is looking for easter eggs in games at all costs?

No I am not. I don't like pushing myself to do something in the game. I would rather relax and just follow main plot or some optional quests/missions. It gives me most fun.
Yes I know about easter eggs before I watched this video. First time when I met this term I was a kid. I read article about easter eggs in one game (I don't remember about which game is this article).
Before I know about easter eggs when I found something that is referring to other game/movie or book I think that creators of the game working with guys from other production. Currently I play Cyberpunk 2077 which have a lot of easter eggs. Some of them are only know for polish people like Pablo Jumper (famous YouTube video Paweł Jumper) or we have robot which behavior like GlaDOS form Portal games.
I'm not a person who find easter eggs, I like when there are surprise for me when I do quests or walking around map. Sometimes when one of easter egg are more famous in Internet I want to find it but most is surprise for me.

1.Did you know what easter eggs are before watching the video?
Yes, I already knew what is an easter egg and I can also say that I'am searching for them in many games.

2.Have you ever found an easter egg, even if you didn't know something like easter eggs existed? What game was it?

The first easter egg I found was in The Witcher 2, that was kinda funny because it was refering to Asassin's Creed series which then was one of my favourite series. The whole easter egg was about founding dead corpse, which was dressed like one of the main protagonists of the series, near the pile of hay which was refering to famous synchronization moments when you have to climb and then jump from the highest points in the city, lending in the pile of hay.

3.Are you the type of person who is looking for easter eggs in games at all costs?

Not really, in my opinion easter eggs should be discovered by an accident without any rush. That's the main idea I think, to stop for a minute and think "woah, how did it get in here?"

1.Did you know what easter eggs are before watching the video?
Yes, of course I knew it. I think, even if someone isn't an avid gamer, he should know this term if you ask him. There is many of youtube videos with various easter eggs, and they gain a lot of views, so it's kinda mainstream for a long time now.

2.Have you ever found an easter egg, even if you didn't know something like easter eggs existed? What game was it?
Honestly, I can't really recall any easter eggs I found in games. They always make it subtle, so only a handful of people can find them, I don't really like it. I would prefer if some of them were more straightforward.

3.Are you the type of person who is looking for easter eggs in games at all costs?
I'm quite the opposite. I'm not really a perceptive person, so I probably missed a ton of easter eggs in games. Also, you have to know a lot of games, not just on general level, but in detail, to be able to find them reliably. For example I know a lot of movies and Anime, so I can notice many easter eggs while watching them. It really adds up to your enjoyment, so I think putting few of them here and there is a very good idea.

1.Did you know what easter eggs are before watching the video?

Yes, I did and I appreciate it very much. I think it is a fun way of showing that creators actually care about the game being fun and providing some twist to it.

2.Have you ever found an easter egg, even if you didn't know something like easter eggs existed? What game was it?

Yes, actually I found an easter egg which was mention in this video – cow level in Diablo II but I do not know if it counts as I was looking for it on purpose as I already knew about it. Fun fact – in next game of this franchise Diablo III people were also looking for the cow level but with no success for a long time. They were looking so much that even Blizzard stated (I think it was on twitter) “Stop. There is no cow level in Diablo III.” But! After some time it turned out that there is a hidden cow level which also as a joke was named “Not a cow level” by Blizzard.

3.Are you the type of person who is looking for easter eggs in games at all costs?

Not really, I am not that into games to be spending that much time just to find an easter egg but I appreciate when I find it by mistake.
1.Did you know what easter eggs are before watching the video?

Yes. I have played some video games in my life and im a little into community of gamers and im trying to know what new games are released each year and play some of the most interesting games for me. So i do know what easter eggs are and also do know some popular easter eggs from games but i hardly ever looking for one.

2.Have you ever found an easter egg, even if you didn't know something like easter eggs existed? What game was it?

In The Witcher 3 there is a quest called something like Bureaucracy and its a scene taken from cartoon the 12 tasks of Asterix where Asterix has to get A38 form and he was put from one place to another and the same happens in the game.

3.Are you the type of person who is looking for easter eggs in games at all costs?

Not at all. Its a wasting time for me. But i do admire people who are looking for easter eggs and i can later watch it on youtube :p

Week 11 [03-09.06.2019] The problem with ecological cars emission in UK

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard.
