Week 4 [23.03-29.03.2020] Ideas that will make your weekend entertaining

Have you ever had a day that you did not know what to do? Such days may happen to everybody and in this short blog post I will try to give you some cool ideas which will entertain you a bit.

Escape Rooms

source: https://wiadomosci.dziennik.pl/wydarzenia/artykuly/588561,escape-room-pokoje-zagadek-co-to-jest-pozar-koszalin.html
One of my propositions is visiting an Escape Room. For people who don’t know what it is: it is a room constructed in such a way that you and your team are closed in and you have to find your way out. Usually a single room is for 2, 3 or 4 people and a typical time limit is 60 minutes.
Every room has another story: you could be a prisoner trying to escape or a bank robber willing to steal some money and remain unseen. The appearance of a room makes a real climate - imagine yourself being in a tunnel when you have to crawl to get to another part of it! The ideas of the creators seem to be unlimited and the rankings often change because of newer and newer places.

Go-carts

source: https://www.kart-o-mania.de/
If you want a bit more individual attraction, think about go-carts. These are small vehicles that you sit in and race with other drivers. You can try to be the first, try to beat your personal records or even be determined enough to become the fastest driver of a whole track!
These small vehicles might look like a toy, but believe me - some of them can speed up to 70 km/h, which is enough to feel the wind blowing in the face. The ride usually takes 8 minutes and you might think it is very short. In fact, this time is enough to make you feel exhausted. Taking numerous turns on the track can make you tired even before these 8 minutes pass as you have to make the moves quickly. Remember, this is a sport in which every second matters.
Another interesting fact about go-carts is that the weather is not always a problem. Most of these vehicles can be used when the weather is rainy. Then, the road is wet and the tires do not stick to it as much as they should. Some can say that it is bad, because you may lose  a few priceless seconds, but fun you get when you drift on the turns is a worthy reward.

Playing classic games online
source: https://kurnik.pl
This post was written before the government advised us to stay at home, so I am obliged to propose another activity which you can do at home.
Some of you may be already familiar with kurnik.pl or its English equivalent playok.com. This is a website on which you can play various classic games like Makao, Chess, Durak or even Monopoly equivalent. Everything is completely free.
You can create an account or play as a guest, but I recommend you to create a one because then you have your nickname. You can play with your friends or find a vacant place in already created rooms. As the site is popular, you will probably never have a problem with looking for a player.
So, as most of us sit at home right now, create a game, invite your friends and have fun!
---
I hope I gave you some ideas on how to spend your free time, and now let’s hope that soon you will be able to try all of them.
Questions:
1. What do you think about Escape Rooms at all? Have you visited any?
2. Did you know about kurnik.pl or any similar website before?
3. How do you spend your free time right now?

What do you think about Escape Rooms at all? Have you visited any?
I never visited any escape room but I wanted to give it a try. I always loved solving those puzzles in web games and doing it in reality seemed to be great idea.
Did you know about kurnik.pl or any similar website before?
Yes, during my IT lessons in high school when there was nothing to do, we were sitting there and playing majong. Sometimes when i was bored I played thousand card game.
How do you spend your free time right now?
I always have something to do. Right now I am playing new game doom eternal, later I will probably play the piano. Also I am trying to learn new things like meditation.
When everything will return to normal I recommend you to take a look at lockme.pl and look for the Escape Rooms which are recommended. The ones on the top are very, very good and for sure you won't be disappointed. But don't take the hardest one for the beginning :)

1. Yes, I've visited escape room once. The task was to find the killer of the Head of the Tax Office. Unfortunately we did not manage to solve the crime on time, but it was a great time anyway and I would definitely go there again. Such activities are a great way to improve ones problem solving skills, encourage teamwork and bonding.

2. Yes, I know kurnik. I used to waste a looot of time there when I was younger, especially during IT classes. I would also play Pretend You're Xyzzy which is a Cards Against Humanity clone.

3. My day's quite filled with activities. I'm trying to be as productive as possible, because after we're back to reality I wouldn't like to feel as I've wasted all this time. So apart from online classes and working, I'm taking a few courses to finally get my AWS certification.
I think I know the escape room you mentioned, but I am planning a visit there since like a year... But I was in their second room and it was cool. And the guy who worked there told that this room (not the one you were in) is easier.
Looks like everybody played on kurnik.pl during their IT classes... Maybe that's the key to studies on PJATK? ;)
1. I've never been to any escape room. However, I have plans to visit them in the future. In addition to playing with friends, we can also get to know each other better thanks to the opportunity to discover new skills that we cannot show in normal situations. Nevertheless, I heard about the girls who died during the visit, so I will definitely do the thorough research.

2. I visited this webside in childhood. used to play chess and billard with my friends. The current situation made us play together again.

3. I try to spend my time productively - I read books, listen to audiobooks and watch movies from time to time. I also had several video calls with my friend.
1. It sounds like fun, but I’ve never visited any of them and I don’t think that I will ever do. This kind of activity is aimed strictly for teams – either families or group of friends. Right now I am unable to imagine who I could take part in this with.

2. I’ve heard about this before and I am quite shocked that it still exists. To be honest, I don’t understand why people still play such games. The nowadays technology is so much more advanced. Why should anyone play games like this instead of modern computer games, even the old ones? There are so many multiplayer games on the market, if someone prefers those over the single player ones. Please forgive me, I just don’t understand :)

3. I don’t have free time right now. During the week I am occupied with my job and I do exercises they give us at our university and during the weekends I work on the master’s thesis. A couple of months more to go, and I’ll be able to think about the free time :)
Answering your questions:

1. I think that escape rooms are one of the best ideas for spending free time in a city. This is not a ordinary game. This fun is about working with other players - it's a teamplay game. The best thing I can remember is an escape room in an open area - in the woods with an abandoned house. It's near Łódź.

2. Yes, I know kurnik.pl and wyspagier. Once, when I was younger, in my free time I liked to play different games on these sites - including billiards or balls. Now, unfortunately, I don't have time for this, besides, I prefer more dynamic and interesting actions, e.g. shooters.

3. In fact, I don't have free time. Earlier I used my free time traveling around the world and watching movies and series. Currently, I sleep in my free time, haha :D
1. I have been in one Escape Room, but it wasn't well designed. It didn't have a logical story, but rather a series of quests that based on perceptivity and luck. But I enjoyed it nevertheless. I have also done 2 more Escape Rooms only in VR and this was brilliant. With this technology it feels realistic, maybe even more than in real life, because from the cabin window I could see the forest and hear the wind - it gave me chills! Also the plus is I can still play during quarantine!

2. Oh my, you just brought back many memories! I liked charades (kalambury) the most, but I also played other games with friends. Whatever happened to this site? Is it still there?

3. Half-Life Alyx came out yesterday, I need nothing more! But, seriously, I live alone, so the quarantine is quite hard, but on the other hand, my flat has never been this clean, I had time to do all those things that I had never time for. I have even baked bread myself! And with today's technology, I can still stay in touch with others via phone or messages. I also run sometimes, so I see other people; strangers but still, it makes me feel better. It is not all bad.

1. What do you think about Escape Rooms at all? Have you visited any?
Personally I don't like the idea at all, that's why I can make myself try one and i believe nothing will change in closest future.

2. Did you know about kurnik.pl or any similar website before?
Yes, we played puns a lot of times on kurnik and other sites. Those are easy to play for even a few seconds or so.

3. How do you spend your free time right now?
I don't have a free time because of work and studies usually. Sometimes when have it i spend this time with friends mostly, more seldom playing games because they take so much time that I don't have on daily basis.
1. I think that escape rooms are very interesting entertainment. Personally, I like to think outside the box and solve some problem. Yes, I was in the escape room twice and I really liked the experience there.

2. Yes, I heard about the kurnik.pl but about 15 years ago and I didn't even think it was still working. I really like this initiative of killing time by short games. You do not need to install anything on your computer, just enter through the browser and start the game. Love this idea.

3. Due to the current situation, I have almost no free time. I work 8 hours a day remotely and then study and do my homework. Nothing new.

1. What do you think about Escape Rooms at all? Have you visited any?

I do like them, but I’m not a crazy fan of them or something. I’ve been in them two times – one time with my sister and one time with friends from my work. First time was ok, but the second time was ambitious! I’ve chosen the hardest riddles to solve, so it was quite an exercise for our brains, but we’ve managed to solve all the riddles and the owner was quite impressed how well we’ve managed to do so. Unfortunately, I don’t remember where exactly it was, somewhere in Warsaw’s city center.

2. Did you know about kurnik.pl or any similar website before?

Yes, when I was in primary school, we used to play there almost every day. Charades were really popular in our class and when we were away from each other, after school we played there for an hour or two. We do this now too, at PJATK, when we are sitting at boring lectures ;)

3. How do you spend your free time right now?

It all depends on the day, but I finally have enough time to catch up with all the movies and animations I wanted to watch, I do read more (before I have read only in the bus while I was going to or from PJATK). But I must admit I use my free time to work :D I animate a lot, I’ve managed to reorganize my CV and showreel, I’m planning to start my animation Instagram profile or some kind of portfolio where people can give me commissions. But I like it that way. I finally have some time to reorganize my life and do it without stressing out that I won’t have enough time for other activities.

1. I really like going to escape rooms and spending time there with friends. It's a great idea to spend time together in this way. I've already been to three escape rooms. I liked the most that one where we were locked together in a cell and handcuffed. We managed to free ourselves from the cell before the end of time.

2. Yes I know this webside. I used to play in literaki there. I love playing logic games, there is a huge choice of them at www.pazyl.pl.

3. I spend most of my free time gardening. I love to plant and care for plants, even weeding doesn't bother me. In other moments I read books, watch movies and play instruments.
Definitely, Escape Room is something different and we can notice the skills that somebody has, but we did not ever see before.
I have admin, that this moment is almost perfect for reading books. We often don't have time for that because we go out. Now it is different and let's hope we will benefit from it.
Thank you for sharing your opinion. About your answer to question 2, I believe it is because they simply like board games. Most of the games available on Kurnik are ones that we play on the table, with cards or piece of paper. These are the games with great tradition that survived many years.
Thanks for your answer. So you switched from travelling to sleeping? ;) Maybe that'll be good for you. Everybody must relax and chill sometimes.
That sounds amazing! Can you give me a hint where can I find Escape Rooms in VR? Is it still a team play, or single play then?
Talking about real ones, take a look at the rankings. The ones from the top are awesome and are designed pretty good.
I see your point. I also have small amount of free time because of work and studies. Playing games would be a big waste of time.
Thanks for you comment. Kurnik.pl is one of the websites I admire. The content barely changes, the design and functionalities changed only once if I remember. And still - it is great and I like it!
Good to see that you are so productive in these hard times. If you like animations so much, we expect you to post something about them soon - together with your animation Instagram profile ;)
I heard about this escape room. I wanted to go there, but I think I could feel a bit uncomfortable wearing handcuffs without having a key ;)
And thank you for sharing pazyl.pl. I will take some time to have fun there.

1. I have never visited an escape room but I was close to visiting one in the past. We wanted to go there with few of my friends but we went to paintball instead. I think it's really interesting and fun but I think I would be too stressed beeing inside. I don't like small rooms.

2. I did play on few of them but I don't remember the names. It was a long time ago.

3. I spend my free time playing video and board games, reading books, working out or learning new things like programming languages, business and some other things that might come to my mind at the time.
1. What do you think about Escape Rooms at all? Have you visited any?

I heard a lot about this. It sounds awesome. I hope i will have some opportunities to try this by myself.

2. Did you know about kurnik.pl or any similar website before?

Of course i heard about this website. It is awesome way to spent time on the lecture. You can beat your friends in game called "Literaki" and you can have a lot of fun instead of boring... :)

3. How do you spend your free time right now?

Curently i have a lot of work and projects. Unfortunately i don't have a lot of free time. I am sad because i can't spent time with friends in real life - this hurt me a lot. Sometimes i watch something on netflix. I am not playing video games anymore. It is to big waste of time. :)

I participated in this game I think it's entertainment and a way of spending free time for people looking for intelligent entertainment, liking to work in a team and looking for emotions and adventures. Locked in a room of riddles, you look for a way out for 60 minutes, solving successive tasks prepared by the room escape team. Great fun guaranteed and very addictive. Great fun, great adventure I recommend to everyone who wants to experience something cool.

2. Did you know about kurnik.pl or any similar website before?
I played games on this site but I think that the creator of this site is very involved in politics.

3. How do you spend your free time right now?
Now the best way to spend time is to stay at home. Apart from watching netflix, it's a good idea to put up a puzzle or paint the basement, What I do now :)

1.
I have only once in my life visited an escape room and it was a great experience. I'm a analytical kind of person who likes to solve problems and such rooms offer plenty of riddles which need to be solved in a limited amount of time. The one we've visited was themed as a spooky room from the Victorian era.

2.
Of course I do kurnik.pl is a classic polish website, and when I was little I used to play
go and monopoly there. Quite a fun website, with a good community.

3. How do you spend your free time right now?
Surfing the internet, watching movies, programming, making music, reading.
You can choose ones which are more "open". I also heard about an escape room that is completely on an open space. It's somewhere near Warsaw and you look for the clues around the whole house and inside it. Sadly, I don't remember much more because my friend told me about it and I have not been there...
Glad to see another escape room enthusiast :)
Is anybody here who is listening on the lectures? Is everybody playing Kurnik? ;) But I have to admit that once we made a LAN-party during a lecture and played Worms Armageddon :D
I was interested in what you told about a connection with politics and I found an interesting article about the creator of Kurnik: https://www.dobreprogramy.pl/Dementor/Kurnikpl-kontrowersyjna-legenda-gier-online,78821.html
There is also a word about a connection with politics, so you remember it correctly.
You are the first person who mentioned the community on Kurnik. How could I forgot about it? People there are just great. Everybody comes there to have fun. There are no insults, no hate, everybody is calm and friendly :)

1. Escape Rooms are great entertainment, but can be frustrating sometimes, and not always from your lack of ideas to pass it. I've been in 5 escape rooms so far and in one there was a problem with game device (we lost ~10-15 minutes, almost on game start, because button didn't work... after we asked for a clue, we were told to press button from which we literally began, but well happens) and in one we weren't sure whether we could do specific action or it was prohibited, but it was just poor rules explanation. Other than that it's great, especially in bigger groups Would probably visit them more, but don't have when.

2. Yes, I heard about kurnik and I'm surprised it's still alive (if it is). Never really used it much.

3. Watching TV series, playing board/video games, browsing internet. It's starting to be kind of boring to sit in the house all the time though.

1. What do you think about Escape Rooms at all? Have you visited any?
I like Escape Room. I have visited it about five times. In the first one, we had to investigate the crime. There was also one thematic Escape Room by Harry Potter books. But the most memorable was the horror quest in a large stylized house with actors.

2. Did you know about kurnik.pl or any similar website before?
Yes, I know a similar website where you can play chess - https://www.chess.com/. I like playing card games in applications on a smartphone more. Recently, I often play solitaire in four suits.

3. How do you spend your free time right now?
It seems to me that my free time activities have not changed much. I like to paint a picture by numbers, watch TV shows and sometimes read a book. Now, for example, I'm watching the cartoon Avatar: Legend of Aang.
1. I think that idea is very good and it’s a great thing for integration party. I haven’t visited any yet but it’s I thing I would like to try.
2. Yes, I knew kurnik before. I used play there kalambury with friends. It’s a very good old solution to play classic board games but it doesn’t give you full experience of the game when you don’t play it in real life.
3. I was thinking about buying World of Warcraft subscription again, but I decided that I should do other things like learning for fun XD and I am actually doing it and it even works better than when was no epidemic.

1. What do you think about Escape Rooms at all? Have you visited any?

I don't like being locked in a room where the door is not open. All the more after the fire in Koszalin. I have never been there and I will never go there.

2. Did you know about kurnik.pl or any similar website before?

Of course I know kurnik.pl. I played chess, bridge and checkers on it. Others are gry.pl, gry.jeja.pl, poszkole.pl, Wyspa-gier.pl. Personally, in the present moment, I play fire and water with my son at gry.pl. This game fascinates us terribly.

3. How do you spend your free time right now?

At the moment, if I have free time, I fish. It soothes, relaxes and lets you forget about everyday problems. I have been fishing for almost twenty years whenever I have free time. That's why I live by the lake (about 200m from the shoreline).

I visited Escape Room once and I cannot say it was a really fascinating experience for me, I got so scared and run away after the first minute. However, don`t want to spoil the impression for those who have never been there as it is just my subjective opinion and I believe that I got so terrified as I have a claustrophobia and nyctophobia, so before going for any activity like you need to make sure it fits you and be familiar with all warnings.
2. Did you know about kurnik.pl or any similar website before?
No, I don`t know this website as any other with classic games. I am not really a fan of such games.
How do you spend your free time right now?
To be honest I get so tired recently as I work whole day and then have online classes and after all can have around 3 hours of free time, 1 hour I look for some movie and cannot find any nice one,I give up in my searching and start reading a book, later on I get extremely tired and go to sleep. Sounds so pessimistic though:)Hopefully my weekend won`t be that boring
1. What do you think about Escape Rooms at all? Have you visited any?
I think escape rooms are interesting and challenging activity have can be fun or sometimes frustrating, I haven’t visited one but I would like too.
2. Did you know about kurnik.pl or any similar website before?
No, but we can use such website during this time.
3. How do you spend your free time right now?
Because we have to stay inside I mostly watch movies and video games.
1. What do you think about Escape Rooms at all? Have you visited any?
I have never visited any escape room, but I want to do this since I remember. I like solving puzzles and adventures so that could be something for me.

2. Did you know about kurnik.pl or any similar website before?
Yes I play games on this site, it's nice because most of them are multiplayer. So it's nice during this quarantine.

3. How do you spend your free time right now?
I learn a lot, cause there is a lot of new material, I play playstation games and speak with my friends on skype and I walk my dog.
Hello, here are my replies to your questions!

1. I have never visited any Escape Room before and after the tragedy that happened in Koszalin I don't plan on ever doing that. The premise of Escape Rooms is very interesting and I am a big fan of solving mysteries, but I really wouldn't feel safe when locked up in a room by a stranger.

2. Yes, I've heard about websites like that from my friends but I never personally used them. Usually we just meet up in real life if we want to play games together. And nowadays we mostly play video games instead of browser games together.

3. I am levelling up my troll enhancement shaman in "World of Warcraft: Classic". The grind is real but I have some guides to help me with the journey. I also draw a lot. But I don't always have free time since I am working from my home.
There are places in Warsaw that offers a headset and a room to play, but I'm just downloading the game from Steam and play at home :) It is a single play, however, I have run this games while hanging out with friends and they helped me look for clues, watching what I see on the screen.

1. What do you think about Escape Rooms at all? Have you visited any?
When escape rooms rapidly grew in popularity around 5 years ago I visited them on regular basis. It was a great place for a date, friends meetup and I even considered going there by myself. It's expensive hooby but things get repetetive quite fast and you became bored. Since then I visited escape room just once.
2. Did you know about kurnik.pl or any similar website before?
I very rarely visit websites like kurnik.pl. Just not my cup of tea, If I commit myself to spend some time gaming I choose 'heavyweight' games
3. How do you spend your free time right now?
As mentioned above, my personal preference is AAA title, so currently most of my free time I dedicate to Apex legends :)
1. What do you think about Escape Rooms at all? Have you visited any?

They are great. It's cool activity to do with friends. I was in a few Warsaw escape rooms and it was really funny expierience

2. Did you know about kurnik.pl or any similar website before?

Yes, of course. It's great companion for lots of boring lectures

3. How do you spend your free time right now?

When I finally have free time I mostly spend it at parties with my friends
1. What do you think about Escape Rooms at all? Have you visited any?

I have been in an escape room once in my life and I remember that experience as a fun one. Few pretty interesting riddles and puzzles with some simple story behind it. Time rushing you makes it even more fin and exciting.

2. Did you know about kurnik.pl or any similar website before?

Of course I knew. When I was younger I used to play on such sites with my friends very often and I loved it. Kurnik.pl was not my favourite one to be honest. Gry.pl or some other sites which names I cannot remember right now were my places to look for some fun games.

3. How do you spend your free time right now?

Due to a difficult situation in which we are all in I try to find myself as much fun as possible at home but some times it's harder than I fought. For the first week and a half I had a game to play that I wanted to play for many months now and it made my days in a quarantine much easier. Right now I am looking for a something similar to make my days more interesting but it seems that I will need to do something more productive this time.

1. I have never visited an Escape Room so it's hard for me tell whether I would like it or not. But I have mixed feelings about them. I heard about an accident that took a place in one some time ago and people died...
2. I think I visited that page a few times when I was a few years younger. Now, I don't think I'd enjoy it very much.
3. Nowadays, in my free time I practice yoga, watch old movies, listen to music and read books. Can't wait for the quarantine to end though. I miss going out, meeting my friends, going to the movies and concerts!
1. What do you think about Escape Rooms at all? Have you visited any?
I visited a lot of escape rooms, I think it's great fun. I think it is also full integration with people.
2. Did you know about kurnik.pl or any similar website before?
You know that as a child I used such sites very often. I played a lot of puns on kurnik.pl. I think also in card games
3. How do you spend your free time right now?
I sit at home and play computer games. All in all, I'm not doing anything interesting right now
1.At first I thought it was a great thing and an idea to spend creative time with friends. However, I never went there. Some time ago it was loud in Poland about the accident in the Escape Room in which 5 girls were killed. Since then, I hesitate to enjoy this kind of entertainment.

2.Of course, I know kurnik.pl very well. I often play with friends and strangers in a card game called "thousand".

3.In the current situation, when there is a lot of time to spend it unfortunately alone at home, I catch up on Netfix series and read books for which I did not have time before. I also talk to friends through video calls and play online games with them.
1. What do you think about Escape Rooms at all? Have you visited any?
I think it is a good place to spend free time. Once ago I want to go to this room with my girlfriend but for some reason we didn’t go. My sister was in this room with class friends and it was a great experience. She had a lot of fun. Once ago I have read an article about an accident in Escape Room. I share link below:

https://tvn24.pl/raporty/piec-ofiar-pozaru-w-escape-roomie-rr1325-2594812

Some of these places are poorly secured. When we want go to Escape Room we have to check this place and read opinions about it on the Internet.

2. Did you know about kurnik.pl or any similar website before?
Yes, I know kurnik.pl. I played there a lot with my sisters. It was a great place to spend time. We played many different games on this site.

3. How do you spend your free time right now?
Now, I don't have much free time. Sometimes I play pc games. I like RPG and strategy. I also ride bike in summer. I love spending time trying new programs on my server and experimenting with different configurations.

1. What do you think about Escape Rooms at all? Have you visited any?

I really like escape rooms, I think it is a great and a bit of an unusual idea to spend time with friends or family. I enjoy riddles and quizzes with a little bit of adrenaline because of the limited time so this kind of experience is quite fun for me. I have visited a couple of espace rooms but my favorite one was a 'PRL' themed game.

2. Did you know about kurnik.pl or any similar website before?

Yes, those websites were very popular when I was a kid in primary school. I used to visit them a lot when I came home after classes. It was a long time ago, so I do not remember the names of similar websites, but I used to spend a lot of time on them.

3. How do you spend your free time right now?

Lately I haven't had a lot of free time as I work also during the weekends. Whenever I finally have a little bit of time for myself I usually go to the gym or to the pool. Sometimes during the weekend I go out with friends - we have dinner together or get drinks. I also try to travel as much as I can, sometimes I spontaneously go with friends to another country for a football game. That way I combine my two interests - football and travelling.
I also had a problem in escape room once, because they had 2 separate rooms with same story. The problem was that they mounted they gave us pair of items, that should be given for another room. After we asked for the clue, we still could not solve it and the supervisor simply gave us this code. We lost like 10 minutes on that and this is why we did not escape from this room. My friend was actually making last calculations which would give us a code for an exit...

1. What do you think about Escape Rooms at all? Have you visited any? I think they are great. You know, quests in real life, fantastic idea. And a lot of my friends have a very good experience with it. Unfortunately, I was only in one and it was awful. It was Game of Thrones theme and it was the reason why my friends and I chose it. But, it was only decorated due to GoT and even puzzles that seemed to be connected with this fiction world were about anything else than it. And we finished it too fast either.

2. I usually play classic games on websites or apps that are specially created for each game. For example, chess.com or I gave played Durak with my mates in one app. Quite a well-spread time-killing thing.

3. Oh, except looking for a job... I have finished reading "Color of magic", I am waiting for a charger for my laptop, cause there is Stellaris with all DLCs that I got with a lot of discounts a week ago, I have started learning Esperanto. With my girlfriend, we're watching Avatar cartoon, finishing our Warhammer 40k armies, also waiting for my charger to play Magicka together and soon will find the end of the Youtube. And yeah, PS4.
If you talk about the investigation of the crime, maybe it was the same room as one of other commentators already mentioned? :)
Lol! Then it's good that you didn't buy it ;) There is a lot to learn, this time could be somehow helpful to find motivation.
The incident in Koszalin was kind of a big stretch when it comes to the safety of escape rooms. The rooms I visit have either the key to the exit doors nearby or the doors are not closed at all. Escape rooms which are professional won't suffer from such situations. But I just think - how stupid it is to close somebody in a room completely, leaving them no chance?
Sounds interesting. I will find some information about it and maybe consider buying a VR goggles :)
Working and studying at the same time can be tough and we both seem to know that. Leaving from one weekend to another ;) The only thing that could help is to change an attitude to either working or studying to think about it like self-development.
Give it a try when you will be able to. It will be a cool experience :)
I hope you are not along the ones who bought a dog just to wander legally? :D
Take a look at the comment I gave here, please: https://konwersatorium1-ms-pjwstk.blogspot.com/2020/03/week-4-2303-29032020-ideas-that-will.html?showComment=1585499508606#c8275009385840064076
I sort of explained that good escape rooms are safe and you are not really "locked inside".
Most common problem with escape rooms is innovation. The idea for an escape room must be good enough to be interesting for people, who visited big number of escape rooms before. Also, the clues must be challenging and must fit the topic. For example, there should be no locks in an escape room with pyramids, although that happens often.
I have bad memories when it comes to Gry.pl. When I wanted to play it, my internet connection was so slow, that most of the games could not load or loaded for 20 minutes :(
Glad to hear that you enjoyed your visits in escape rooms :)
But I hope you don't party these days, do you? :o
Try it once and you then you will be able to state your opinion about them :)
Maybe try to make something which is a bit more productive, for example, our school projects? If you do them now you will have less stress later.
I explained a bit about safety of escape rooms in another comment, so take a look if you want: https://konwersatorium1-ms-pjwstk.blogspot.com/2020/03/week-4-2303-29032020-ideas-that-will.html?showComment=1585499508606#c8275009385840064076
This situation was mentioned already in few comments. It is good to hear that you don't cross this option out and you are responsible enough to check the opinions about certain escape room.
Thanks for your comment. It is nice to see that you are close with your family.

1. I haven't been in any escape room but the idea is quite intresting for me. The adrenaline rush has to feel amazing and it's very creative way to spend time with friends. I'll definetly try it one day

2. No I didn't know about this, the concept was known for me but I've never been intrested in one so I can't recall any similar website.

3.Unfortunately I don't have much free time right now - besides work and uni. In my free time I'm preparing for two exams, taking more online courses, and learning new things. My daily tasks take most of my time and after doing it all I'm just simply exhausted.
Thanks for the list of activities your do usually. But what are you doing now? I think you had to quit most of them because of the pandemic :(
Wow, learning esperanto is for sure interesting. Do you have a vision to use it later or are you learning it for fun?
Try to make a small break to take a breath and recover a bit. It is good to relieve stress sometimes.

1. What do you think about Escape Rooms at all? Have you visited any?

Yes I have visited one in Warsaw and I enjoyed the stay, it was really fun. I am planning to visit some more one day. But on the other hand, there was a disaster in Poland which was a tragedy. Some of those escape rooms are not perfectly checked and secured, which can result in such tragedy as I've mentioned before.

2. Did you know about kurnik.pl or any similar website before?

Sure thing. During youth I was playing with friends especially after finishing the task during informatics. The site has plenty of games with different genres for everyone.

3. How do you spend your free time right now?

Usually I am playing games, different genres, but I also help my parents at home. What is more, I also like to ride on a bicycle or just exercising.
Thanks for your comment. It is nice to see that you are close with your family.

1. What do you think about Escape Rooms at all? Have you visited any?

I like the idea and I have been to a few in Warsaw. I like the variety and that the owners try to invent their ideas for scripts and challenges instead of copying from others. At least in those that I have been.

2. Did you know about kurnik.pl or any similar website before?

Yes, I’ve heard about them but I don't visit any of them.

3. How do you spend your free time right now?

Right now, I read a lot and try to finish some courses that I have on Udemy.

1.I'm not really interested in Escape Rooms. The idea of them seems cool, but the hype around them a few yours ago got so big, I lost my interest. I went once and had fun, but in my opinion there are better and more fun things to do.

2.Yes, I did hear about them but never had a chance to use them. When I had more time I used to play computer games. Now I prefer board games - that's all I have time for.

3.Now I spend my free time with my family and my girlfriend. We cook, play Scrabble and watch movies. I also bike a lot!
1. What do you think about Escape Rooms at all? Have you visited any?
I think it is a great way to spend free time. I have visited couple of them, but not many. I like this, because every has their own history and you can feel the vibe of the place. What is more some of them are really difficult to "pass" and be "free". I like creating the team with my friends, we have different personalities and I think it is a clue to escape of all of them. Some people are more creative, some are more logical thinking. It’s great.

2. Did you know about kurnik.pl or any similar website before?
Yes, I know this website, I have played some games on it with my friends, but I don’t do that often. I don’t any others websites like this, but this one is really cool.

3. How do you spend your free time right now?
I do not have much free time right now, I am working from home and then studying in the evening, but I like to watch some Netflix films, or just workout at my place.

I've never visited any but I've been planing it for a long time. I would love to visit one since I really like to solve puzzles and generally I like problem solving. Moreover, it's a brilliant way to spend your time outside home and outside computer. I'm also fascinated about the endless and awesome ideas the people who create these rooms have.

I know kurnik.pl and I've even played some games on the site a couple of days before with my girlfriend. As for similar websites, I don't know any but if you have any I would appreciate if you shared one.

Right now I don't have much free time. But today I finally arranged some free time for myself and I watched a whole Chernobyl series. Yesterday I was riding a bike for some time trying to avoid people.

1. Yes, I have heard about such activity, we have horror escape room in my city Odesa. But I have never tried and never will. Two reasons: I don't like jumpscares and I don't like a group of people being nervous around me.

2. Hmm, no I never used such a website. But I like meeting random people in CS:GO for example. Especially russians. I like making fun of them because they don't have any medical system at all and they probably will suffer greatly from Coronavirus.
Don't judge me pls :).

3. Right now I prepare myself for an important interview. Not much fun at all... Of course I watch Netflix and play some games sometimes.
Of course, I have visited escape rooms in my life. In fact, I was in two, both in Warsaw and both are horror escape rooms. One is called Horror House and the other Fear Zone. Actually, attractions in both of them were pretty similar but still I had loads of fun in there. The only minus is that they are one-time thing, after visiting any it’s pointless to go there again because You already know all the answers. Go-karts are always awesome, and I visited tracks a lot when I was younger. I don’t know what kurnik.pl is so I can’t really relate about it or any other sites like this. During my free time I mostly play on computer or play board games.

1. I believe they are a great thing. Even though i have never been to one, the idea of trying to escape a room by solving puzzles is thrilling. I will definitely try it out in the future.

2. Yes, i do know about kurnik.pl. Sometimes even i play there with my friends. I think it's a great way to spend your free time. Unfortunately, that's the only website i know about, where you can play games.

3. I'm doing a lot of different things. I play video games i have bought in the past and never played them, I'm completing Udemy courses, and I'm also looking for new ways to spend my free time.

1. I think escape rooms are fun and many of my friends have recommended me to visit places like this. Unfortunately I have been trying to go for many years, but I have never been able to visit this type of place.

2. I've been hearing about "kurnik.pl" pages and similar to when I was little. But now I don't play online games at all, so I'm not up to date.

3. Most of my free time (in times when there is no coronavirus pandemic) I do sports and meet friends. Unfortunately, because I study and work I don't have much free time.
In the current situation I also do a lot of running or exercising at home, but I also started playing board games with my boyfriend.

1. I love escape-rooms. They are a fantastic way to spend free time with friends, especially because such games integrate a team and require body and brain activity.
2. I haven’t heard about that site but went to check it immediately ;p Maybe because I don’t like such games.
3. Well. I have very little free time, so mostly I read books, going to the gym and spend time with my closest friends and family. Also - I love my work, so I don't take it as my 'business time', I treat it more like passion.
1. What do you think about Escape Rooms at all? Have you visited any?
I'm not sure, because I have never visited any of them. Escape Rooms are really great idea, but they can still be dangerous. Every day there are numerous amount of emergencies in Escape Rooms in the world.

2. Did you know about kurnik.pl or any similar website before?
Yes, I do. I used to play games with friends on this website and other in childhood.

3. How do you spend your free time right now?
Nowadays, I spend my free time in a huge variety of ways. I play traditional rpg game with friends on Discord App, write role play on pbf's forum, read books and comics, draw digital arts, watch Anime, movies and TV series or korean drama on Netflix, play computer games and much more.

1. I participated in escape rooms a couple of times. I find this way of spending time intresting, some puzzles could be challenging and requires teamplay and on the spot thinking.
2. I never heard of these kind of sites.
3. I rarely have free time, but when I do I play video games and watch Netflix.
1. What do you think about Escape Rooms at all? Have you visited any?
Yes I have and it was fun. I think I have visited just 2 escape rooms. One was very close to PJATK aswell. Both times were good experience for me. It is great form of activity because solving mysteries with your close friends or family is the thing that can be remembered for long.
2. Yes I did. I used to spend lot of time at kurnik when I was younger. Recently I've heard about boardgamesarena.com and it is a place where you can play many fun boardgames with friends or strangers. Definitely recommend!
3. I stay home all the time because of the virus of course so most of my spare time I spend on playing games or watching tv series. May not sound exciting but it is fun to me.

1. What do you think about Escape Rooms at all? Have you visited any?
This is actually a very fun idea. I was in a similar room twice, each time my friends and I had a pleasant experience. We can say that sometimes you get a small dose of adrenaline. Since in those rooms in which I visited they were on the topic of horrors in a bunker in the post-apocalyptic world. In general, I join you and I can say that if you can visit such a place with your friends, do it, it will actually be very fun.

2. Did you know about kurnik.pl or any similar website before?
No, for the first time I hear about this site. Most likely there are a lot of such sites in the Internet space. Especially many different Internet resources began to appear during the pandemic. But I honestly do not use such sites, so I can not advise anything.

3. How do you spend your free time right now?
Now it’s really like there’s more free time, but because of employment, I don’t really feel it. Although I noticed that I began to read more. That was one of my goals. Here the coronovirus epidemic contributed to this. Therefore, I spend more time reading books on various topics, especially those that have been in my notes for a long time. Finally I got to them.

I was in 2-3 escape rooms before it was so fashionable. A very nice idea for entertainment that combines cooperation, spending time together, logic and seeking clues.
The website kurnik.pl is very well known to me. A few years ago I played checkers, netopol, a thousand and many other games there. Very cool site created by Poles where you can freely play your favorite classic board games.
In my free time I play multiplayer games, watch movies and help people understand the algorithm :)

Btw it is really frustrating when u missed 1 fact in escape room and u lose idea what to do. I had that situation 1st time.

1. I don't like that kind of entertainment. Escape rooms, for me, are really cringe. A Few friends decides to lock self in room and find out a way out. It even sound ridiculous.
2. I used to play on kurnik for long time. I plaied with friends there when i was in primary school.
3. I really love to play games which some unordynary story. I also like movies but in video games there is significant greater imersion. And that is cool you can discover a story in your personal way..

I visited actually only one but it was totally awesome! I liked it very, very much. It was top factoring Blue City in Warsaw and I am strongly recommend everyone to go with their friends! It is quite expensive but worth it ;)
2. Did you know about kurnik.pl or any similar website before?
Yes, I knew about it , but I didn't play anything there for ages!!! I think last time it was in primary school, so more that 10 years ago. Nowadays I wanted to try boardgamearena which my friends recommended me.
3. How do you spend your free time right now?
I am trying to develop myself a lot during this days, so I am working a lot in my work, I am doing online courses, I am learning languages online. I also walk everyday and will be cycling soon, hopefully tomorrow.
1. What do you think about Escape Rooms at all? Have you visited any?
I never visited Escape Rooms they sound interesting and exciting but after watching many horror movies about them I’m not sure if I want to visit them.
2. Did you know about kurnik.pl or any similar website before?
Yes I knew about kurnik.pl there was a time when I liked playing this kind of traditional games online but now I prefer games that take more time and actually do not end unless you get bored with them and I also recently started reading web novels so this type of website is rather forgotten by me.
3. How do you spend your free time right now?
Nothing interesting I play some games on android, watch movies and read web novels to kill some time.
No, I never visited the escape room and I do not want, because I am scared. I am afraid of enclosed spaces, especially if the room is small, there is the possibility of being stuck there for a long time.

No, I have never heard of this site, but I played similar online card games, in my opinion it is very interesting when you need to spend your time.

I usually spend my free time with friends, watching movies or just having fun with them. Definitely my most favorite hobby is watching movies.

1. What do you think about Escape Rooms at all? Have you visited any?
I was once in one of Escape Rooms in Warsaw. My experience was a bit worse then expected, but I wonder if it's because we needed too much hints at some stage of solving the puzzle. I like the idea, I would like to give it another try at some time in a future.
2. Did you know about kurnik.pl or any similar website before?
I think kurnik.pl is one of it's kind. I like it very much, most often I play Literaki – its version of Scrabble.
3. How do you spend your free time right now?
I play with my little daughter or I'm going for walks with her. I enjoy reading books and trying to contribute to open source software projects.
It is good time for productivity and self-development. I wish you benefit from this courses :)
Of course, doing same thing too often would be boring. But I think it is enough once in a few months with your friends and enjoy it.
I absolutely agree with what you said in first point. Different personalities often find themselves better in an escape room. Some people do this, other that and together they make a dream-team ;)

1. I think they are a very cool activity to do with your friends. My coworkers invited me there few times, but I was too lazy to go, so I missed on this experience. I'm planning to go in the future though.

2. Of course I have heard about kurnik.pl before, it is one of the most popular websites amongst younger people. We were often playing games on there with my friend whenever we had IT lesson in middle school and high school

3. I try to indulge myself in several activities during the day, so I won't be bored with any of them. I mainly sit in front of computer, play games and watch anime, but it is important to me to go outside and help in the garden. In the evenings, I like reading some books to make me relaxed before sleeping.
Some commentators already did mention other websites similar to Kurnik so you could take a look at other comments and maybe you will find something interesting.
If these are only jokes it is OK, but I think you can suffer same as they and medical system won't help much. It's just bad luck.
Now is the best time to find out what Kurnik is :)
Good to see you are not stuck doing same thing. I hope you'll benefit from it!
When I went a bit away from Warsaw I saw many people running and cycling. I was very surprised, because for example in Warsaw the streets are empty.
About your first answer, I think it is more brain. But once I was in an escape room that we had to climb, so yeah, that required body activity for sure :)
Are you sure about that? Accidents in escape rooms every day? Sorry, I cannot believe that, but I could be wrong.
Thanks for you comment. Yeah, escape rooms can be quiet challenging.

Week 12 (12.01-18.01.15) Are you an early bird or a night owl ?

Owls are nocturnal creatures. They’re wide awake at night and they sleep during the day. If this sounds like bliss to you, then, like about 20 percent of the population who find themselves most active at around 9 pm, you may fall into the same category as our feathered friend. Night owls often have difficulty waking up in the morning, and like to be up late at night.  Studies of animal behaviour indicate that being a night owl may actually be built into some people’s genes. This would explain why those late-to-bed, late-to-rise people find it so difficult to change their behaviour. The trouble for night owls is that they just have to be at places such as work and school far too early. This is when the alarm clock becomes the night owl’s most important survival tool. Experts say that one way for a night owl to beat their dependence on their alarm clocks is to sleep with the curtains open. The Theory is that if they do so, the morning sunlight will awaken them gently and natura...

Week 11 [03-09.06.2019] The problem with ecological cars emission in UK

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form. These can be particles of sea salt, clouds from the Sahara and artificial compounds made by people. These compounds...
