Week 10 [16.12 - 22.12.2019] The uses of drone technology

The definition of drone is short and simple. Cambridge dictionary says it is an aircraft without a pilot that is controlled by someone on the ground, used especially as a hobby. I would like to add it is formally known as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

History:
The first radio-controlled aircraft were used in World War I. In 1918, the U.S. Army developed an unmanned "flying bomb" aircraft, which was never used in combat. Later, the British in 1935 follows up the U.S. Army idea and create a „Queen Bee”. This is the first drone in real usage. The technology evolved really fast and the countries started to use various UAVs during the course of WWII.

The applications of drone technology:
As we can see, military uses of drones is the first one, who started the idea of unmanned aerial vehicles. The drones are used for bomb detection, surveillance and air strikes. This technology save lifes. The effective cameras can find the bomb and avoid the death of  people. Moreover, they can react very fast. They do not require a pilot in the cabin, so the drone can launch and go to the mission in a second. What is the most important that the pilot do not risk his life in the mission.
The second group of uses is non-military. The popularity of using drones in diffrent sectors is still growing. These days we use drones in entertainment, aerial photography, shipping and delivery, geographic mapping, disaster management, precision agriculture, search and rescue, wheather forecast, wildlife monitoring, law enforcement. These examples are the most popular one.
For example the aerial photography. If we can not use drones, it will be very expensive to rent a helicopter, cameras. What is more it will take much more time to prepare a helicopter, camera man and the pilot comparing to rent a drone with operator. Drone makes it cheaper, faster and just better quality. One of the James Bond films „Skyfall” was filmed by drone. Aerial footage is dominated by this technology these days.

The scene presented in the video, was captured by drone. You have to agree with me, it is easier to film it with this machine rather then helicopter.
With advanced technology, drones can work at night. It can help protecting the animals without casuing any disturbance on their wildlife. Also, it can control how the nature has changed during the years. There are a lot of sensors who can check the temperature or just help to find some people or missing things from the sky.
Shipping and delivery is an idea, which are developped by big companies like Amazon, UPC or DHL. Drones could save a lot of time on road traffic. It can deliver small packages and on small distance for now.

The popularity of drone technology is still growing incredibly fast.

1. To be honest, I have never operated a drone. It's quite strange as they're quite popular and cheap nowadays, but I just didn't have such opportunity. Of course, if I have such possibility, I will try it.

2. I think the drones pose a big threat to our privacy. Peeping other people is really easy with drones - you can follow them, film with a camera installed on the drone and they may not be aware of it. Of course, it's illegal, but such possibility makes me feel strange. The other potential risk is a threat of disturbing air traffic - there were such situations, when drones made airports being closed.

3. In my opinion military and film industry. In both of these fields drones found many applications and are widely used.

1. Have you ever operated a drone? Where it was? Did you enjoy it?
Yes, I have. It was about one year ago and it was in my girlfirend parents garden. It was very difficult to me even that drone was very small. Drone ended up in the pool becuse I cannot operate it properly.
2. Do you see any disadvantages of using drones?
Maybe when people use drones near the airports - it is very dangerous for planes. Also when people use drones to violate someone privacy.
3. What sector in your opinion achieve the most of using drones?
I think drones are very usefull in miliraty section, because they can explore some territory wihtout putting soldiers in danger.

I have never operated a drone. I only tried flying a small plane and a helicopter but its not the same. I want to try flying a drone some day.

Drones can be hacked easly so when we are using them to deliver packages or as a weapon to kill someone it can be really dangerous in evil person hands.

FIlm making. They use them the most I guess and it is really powerful tool to get really nice shots. I think it can be really helpful in military too but we need to wait few more years to make it more silent.

1. I've never operated a drone. Photos taken from a drone are awesome. I'd like to learn to operate a it to try it out.

2. Well, you can fly a drone wherever you want. Flying near the airport areas it's quite irresponsible and stupid because it could cause a disaster and many people could die.

3. In military. I think the most is used in this section. Moreover as I mention drones are used really good in photo taking or film making. It can be captured very good shots thanks to drones.

1. Have you ever operated a drone? Where it was? Did you enjoy it?
I've never operated a drone but I had a small RC helicopter when I was young. It was a long time before drones became mainstream. I always enjoyed playing with it till the day the gears broke.

2. Do you see any disadvantages of using drones?
One disadvantage I can see is that as a weapon it would be psychically easier for people to kill with a machine than personally.

3. What sector in your opinion achieve the most of using drones?
The military sector as people before mentioned is probably the most influenced by drones. Movies sector is also the one of the most influenced as drones are a brilliant way for filmmaking. There were always helicopters that was used to record movies which was definitely a lot more expensive that using drones. Drones are cheaper, lighter, more agile.

1. Have you ever operated a drone? Where it was? Did you enjoy it?

No, unfortunately i never had a chance to do it but I hope someday I will. I think that might be really enjoyable.

2. Do you see any disadvantages of using drones?
I don't see any disadvantages of drones. The technology itself is never bad only the possible usage of it by people might be.

3. What sector in your opinion achieve the most of using drones?
I think that as you described it yourself military not only achieved plenty with drones then even invented them.
There are plenty of other sectors that benefit from drones as their are much more practical and cheaper solutions.
Right now we don't yet have such an option but maybe in the future drones could deliver the packages for us?
Maciej P s16488 said…
I've never operated a drone but i don't really look farward to do it. It just doesn't seem that appealing to me. I know about several other reasons people use drones, which sometimes are very creative. Little Big have video for their song made by russian artists using drones to capture landscapes in Russia: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjilYa1zxSg
Japanese mafia (not sure if it was actually japanese) use drones to transport drugs and local police started using drones with nets to capture other drones, which is impressive but also on the other hand - quite funny.
There are a lot of potential problems with using drones like possibility of violating privacy. I don't know much if it is possible with system of prevention in drones but in some cases they can lose power and fall down hitting things below (i think they cut controls and land when they have low power). I would think of problems with drones hitting birds (which happens) or getting into power lines or other stuff like this.
I think that drones give much potential for any sector that requires easy access to certain areas - sending medicines to mountain villages, some kind of maintenance help for checking state of parts of buildings and so on.
1. Have you ever operated a drone? Where it was? Did you enjoy it?

Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance yet. However, seeing that prices are getting lower and drones are easier and easier to handle, I will definitely try one day.

2. Do you see any disadvantages of using drones?

At this point, it comes to my mind that this is a threat to air traffic. Often irresponsible operators can cause a threat to aircraft, but it seems to me that the systems are increasingly counteracting this and simply do not allow them to take off in such areas.

3. What sector in your opinion achieve the most of using drones?

At this time, the photo and video sectors are definitely the most used drones. Drones are also intensively used in military applications. In the future I hope that they will be able to improve and speed up the delivery of packages ordered on the Internet.
1. I have never operated a drone but i would really like to try one day.
2. Maybe if someone were to use it to spy on neighbors or something like that, than it would be a disadvatage.
3. For me the e-commerce with drones as machine "delivery man" could really benefit from it.
1. I never had the opportunity to operate the drone, when I was younger I had a remote-controlled helicopter model, but unfortunately after a few flights there was uncontrolled landing which ended with crash.

2. Some countries have problems with unauthorized flights and the danger of flying drones next to airports. From what I remember, in Japan there was a destruction of the monument caused by the loss of control over the drone and its fall on the roof of the temple. Drones are also used by smugglers and drug dealers to transport their goods. The use of drones by terrorists to create easy-to-use explosive drones is an additional growing threat.

3. In my opinion, the film and transport industry are the sectors that will benefit the most from drones. Drones allow new ways to record movies and take photos. Before, the filmmakers had to use helicopters or cranes to create amazing aerial shots. Currently, drones significantly reduce the costs of filming such shots and facilitate the cameraman's work. In the case of transport, drones can significantly reduce delivery time and help transport very important packages. Recently, I heard about a case where the drone helped transport the organs needed to transplant and save someone's life. The use of a drone significantly reduced the delivery time, which significantly increased the patient's chances of survival.
Kuba Berliński said…

1. No, I haven't, but I'd definitely like to. I just don't feel like buying one and unfortunately none of my friends either.

2. I think they make it quite easy to spy on people, as weird as it sounds. I'm quite sure for example some celebrities were dusturbed by drones trying to get a picture of them.

3. I'd say that transportation. People could be replaced by well programmed drones in delivering packages. As we all know couriers are soulless people.

1. Have you ever operated a drone? Where it was? Did you enjoy it?
No, I had never operated a drone.

2. Do you see any disadvantages of using drones?
I've heard that some people used them to distribute drugs. Also you can use drones for spying and stealing, you can even modify drone to make it handle weapons.

3. What sector in your opinion achieve the most of using drones?
All types of delivery, films, extreme sports captchuring. Also fast locating people at disasters at places that are difficult to reach.

1. Have you ever operated a drone? Where it was? Did you enjoy it?

No, I did not have such an opportunity. But I think that in the future I will. I would like to see what it looks like from above or its called 'from a bird's eye view'.

2. Do you see any disadvantages of using drones?

Drones have many advantages. Unfortunately, in addition to numerous advantages, there are also many disadvantages. Among them we must mention the weak skeleton, which is susceptible to easy destruction, the battery that briefly holds at least for now and the expensive cost of the model itself, which can significantly limit its use in the commercial industry for now.

3. What sector in your opinion achieve the most of using drones?

Drones are gaining popularity every year. Once serving in the army and today they also got into the civilian market, finding application in many areas of life from performing the function of a cameraman to transport functions.

My friend creates drone footages what pays off well. In the last summer he gave me a chance to operate his drone and it was such a great experience!
I'm not an expert but I think that many legal aspects of using drone are not so clear, one of disadvantages I can think of is violation of privacy - someone can use a drone to spy on you. It can be also an advantage if talking about criminals and in my opinion many of drone use cases are similar issues to use cases of a gun. It can be properly used for good things, but someone can use it to do something bad.
Probably military sector is the one that achieved the most of using drones. Drone can be used to eliminate or spy on an enemy without risking the lives of soldiers. Medical sector is another great example, I've heard that drones will be used to transport blood to hospitals.

1. Have you ever operated a drone? Where it was? Did you enjoy it?
No, unfortunately, I have not been able to control such a device yet, but I was present at the launch of the drone and, in principle, I know some features and moments associated with the start of using such things. It would be interesting to do it yourself next time.

2. Do you see any disadvantages of using drones?
I think they do exist. Not so long ago, the media often featured articles on violation of the personal space of citizens, some owners of drones used them for other purposes and abused the ownership of this technology. I also remember there was a question in some countries about the violation of airspace over the territory of secret objects. In some of these countries, mandatory registration of drones has been introduced.

3. What sector in your opinion achieve the most of using drones?
It seems to me that this technology has a very wide range of functions and it can be useful in many areas. For some reason, it also seems to me that the creation of drones, as you said in your article, began with the use of the military. So now this area uses drones very widely. But in general, in the civilian sphere, in many types of shooting various videos and cinema, and there may also be security and agriculture.
1. Have you ever operated a drone? Where it was? Did you enjoy it?
No, I have not, but it looks fun I want to try someday if the opportunity arises
2. Do you see any disadvantages of using drones?
It's too easy to use it for evil purposes like peeping, terrorism, you can cause serious accidents whether specially or not
3. What sector in your opinion achieve the most of using drones?
I think it is military they use them for long-term spying, precise bombing from a long distance, scouting you could say that they use them in almost every sector of the military

1. Have you ever operated a drone? Where was it? Did you enjoy it?
My dad has a drone, so yes, I have operated a drone several times. But I can't say that piloting it really impressed me. Just, in my opinion, it is not very different from simple children radio-controlled toys but with a camera, although, of course, there are more controllers that makes operating it a little harder, but not more interesting.
2. Do you see any disadvantages of using drones?
Well, I see two disadvantages here: privacy breach and threat to nature. Using the camera from an aerial view, you can see something people try to hide, and in some other cases it can also deprive anyone of private life (for example, if you fly near windows and look inside). And about nature, such flights can often end collision with trees or bird attacks, which can lead to their death.
3. What sector in your opinion is achieving the most of using drones?
I think the greatest success has been achieved in shipping and military. I've heard that Asian countries are now actively developing projects to build and customize drones for bulk deliveries. And I have also heard that some people already use them for the illegal supply of drugs and bombs. So drones are quite successful in this direction. And as for the military, it is not necessary to say that there are many different types of armament using drones on a weapon market.
1. No, I've never operated the drone, but I'd love to try it. I read a lot of articles about drones and a lot of people say that the beginnings are very difficult. It is difficult to operate the drone due to the different control characteristics - it's not a car.

2. I don't think there are any disadvantages to using drones. Well - maybe privacy, but this is a questionable issue, because nowadays our privacy is not very protected.

3. Drones can be successful in many areas. For example, they can replace ambulances - it will save time. The fire brigade will help extinguish fires on high floors. In army - reconnaissance of enemy territory.
Olha Romaniuk said…
1. No, I never controlled a device like that.
2. Well, that must be the cost. And the control radius.
3. I think it's military or security аnd control operations.

1. Have you ever operated a drone? Where it was? Did you enjoy it?
I have never operated a drone, but I would be interested to try. Maybe I'll buy a drone someday, but only after I buy a radio-controlled machine.

2. Do you see any disadvantages of using drones?
I never really thought about this, but the first thing that comes to mind is the use of a drone to invade private property and personal life, such as surveillance of celebrities or spying on the production process of some films or other events.

3. What sector in your opinion achieve the most of using drones?
Drones can be used in any sector, but the entertainment sector on my list will be at the last position. I know that drones are very effectively used in law enforcement and this is very good.
1. Have you ever operated a drone? Where it was? Did you enjoy it?
No, I’ve never operated a drone before, but I’d like to try it someday since they are widely available. When I was a kid I had a little helicopter which could be operated with a remote and I really enjoyed playing with that toy. It was easier to use it, because drones are more complicated.

2. Do you see any disadvantages of using drones?
The biggest disadvantage is that everyone has access to it and no additional licences are needed. Some people are really reckless and there have been a few incidents regarding drones and airplanes. It happens when a drone enters an airports airspace which can be highly dangerous for the air traffic and human lives are at risk.

3. What sector in your opinion achieve the most of using drones?
Probably the military benefits the most from using drones. Thanks to them they don’t have to risk human lives to spy on someone and soldiers don’t have to enter the enemies territory. Also the film industry benefits from using drones, because they can get better shots.

1. I have never used a drone myself but I would really like to try one day. I am going to do this soon because it seems to be really fun. I am sure I would enjoy it and that it would be a great experience.

2. I guess that the main disadvantage is that it probably takes a while to learn how to use it properly and how not to destroy it during the first flight. I think that certain drones have their limitations like flight range, battery work time etc and that it depends on the price. Drones can also be pretty expensive and used to do illegal or annoying things like disturbing the privacy of others. When someone doesn't know how to use a drone then it can also cause harm to people that are around.

3. I think definitely the movie and advertising industries and others that involve filming.
Drones are also used in military purposes like reconnaissance and elimination of targets. They are also being adopted in transportation, security and many other fields.

1. Yes, I had the opportunity to fly a friend's drone on his field. I really liked it, just a pity that after 5 minutes of flying I collided with a tree. After the "mini heart attack" it turned out that nothing happened to the drone. So this was my first and last time.
2. The only con that comes to my mind is that drones can fly over private areas.
3. In my opinion, drones are most useful to the police and the army. I once watched in the Discovery channel show as the police mounted a thermal camera on a drone and flew between houses looking for warmer areas. As you can guess, there were marijuana plantations.

1. I have never operated a drone, but I would like to try, because it must be eventful experience.

2. In my opinion drones technology has not only advantages but also disatvantages. For instance they violate a right to privacity, they have short time flight and weather may affect on drones. Moreover, they may be used for immoral movement, for example animal hunting.

3. I totally agree with Kacper Gąsior that militarny and film industry achive the most of using drones, because they improve the efficient of their work.
Szymon Kluczek said…
1. I have never operated a drone, if I ever had the opportunity I would love to try.

2. The disadvantages of drones that I see is the fact that flying them in inappropriate places, e.g. near the airport, can be very dangerous and in the case of an accident can have huge consequences, what is more, I believe that drones can be used in an inappropriate way e.g. to watch people because they are getting smaller and it's getting harder to spot them.

3. I often see the use of drones in video or photos and I like it very much, I think that drones have introduced a lot of freshness to video production, the shots from them are amazing you can see a large part of the city from above, such photos look great and require relatively little work. I think that the whole film industry benefited from drones because drone shots make movies more interesting.
1. Have you ever operated a drone? Where it was? Did you enjoy it?
I have never operated a drone unfortunately. i wish i operated a drone.

2. Do you see any disadvantages of using drones?
Using a drone in close distance from an airport or during large gatherings
could be dangerous. Its good that using drones is slowly becoming regulated in Poland.

3. What sector in your opinion achieve the most of using drones?
Private sector. Weddings, music videos, films, videography, photography etc. all sort of image related 'art'.
1. Unfortunately I did not have the opportunity but I would like to try.
2. Everything has flaws, for example drones disturb people's privacy.
3. In my opinion, the film industry got the most benefits.
1. I've never operate a drone. I was wondering about it and thinking how would I use this technology in my personal projects. I have some ideas but this equipment is too expensive for me.

2. The biggest disadvantage I saw was using drones for spying or stalking. I saw some examples on the internet where people were bragging with videos and photos made with drones of people that was not expecting it. Sometimes in private sytuations even in their own houses.

3. I think the most stunning and impressive results of using this technology is possible to achieve by film producers and artists. Especially in scientific programs and documents.

1. Yes, I have operated cheap Chinese micro-drone. It didn't have GPS or other sensors so flying was hard. It also had very small battery so flight time was max 5min(which was little bit annoying)
2. Drones pose a threat to aircraft and other vehicles in the air.
3. I think that the main sectors are:
- military
- whole photograpic/filming sector
- entertainment (drone races or stunts)
and maaaybe delivery sector
1. Despite the fact that nowadays drones are so popular and widely available I have never operated the drone. I hope that I will have such an opportunity in the future.

2. Like all drones have their pros and cons. It is very dangerous to use drones around the airport because they can cause a catastrophe, although I am of the opinion that the drones themselves do not cause evil but the wrong people who control them incorrectly.

3. I think drones are used in many areas of life, among others in photography, in the film industry and can also be very useful in the army.
I’ve never operated a drone. I don’t see any disadvantages of using drones. Only positive aspects. I really do want one of them. Wanna try it out and film something for myself. I think it’s space. Because it’s quite expensive to send people out to the space also it’s dangerous. As I can remember the drones already discover it and building out there. So yes, definitely it’s a space.

1. Have you ever operated a drone? Where it was? Did you enjoy it?
Yes. I had a friend in Warsaw. It was quite fun. But I think it's forbidden right now.
2. Do you see any disadvantages of using drones?
When you go too high or something, sometimes you have problems. You may even lose your drone in situations like signal loss.
3. What sector in your opinion achieve the most of using drones?
It seems to be used more in the military sector and I think there are land and air vehicles that can move small style unmanned. Some of them explode mines, others destroy everything that moves.

1. I have never operated a drone, but want to do that. I have this dream for two years. And I have a different approach. I want to build my drone from scratch (I already have blueprints, parts list, and every knowledge needed to make it real) and then operate it. But now I can't allocate enough money for this project.

2. I‌ know one massive disadvantage of using drones that caused people to lose hundreds of them. It's called jammers. Nowadays we have a special type of robbers. They use special signal jammers to confuse drones, lower them to ground, and then steal them (maybe to sell expensive parts).

3. In my humble opinion, delivery services and the military (surveillance drones) will achieve the most from drones. Also, they will be useful for companies who work on researches in different branches of science, as universal machines that can get to all places that hard (or maybe dangerous) to reach.
1. Yes, I was a drone operator once. It was a very interesting experience for me, despite the fact that it was not a professional drone and it gave a lot of fun.
2. I think that we can definitely point out quite a few flaws. One of them is definitely the possibility of invasion of privacy by curious neighbors.
3. In my opinion, the film industry has the most benefits. You can take very interesting aerial shots with them.
Marta Matysik said…
1. No, I haven’t. None of my friends have a drone, so there wasn’t no opportunity to try. But I think that I don't want to try. I would be afraid I would break him.

2. It seems to me that the disadvantage is that it’s easily to peeping people and when people use them near to the airports.

3. The sector, which achieves the most of using drones can be film industry, because it’s the chipper way than helicopters for filming from the height.
1. Have you ever operated a drone? Where it was? Did you enjoy it? Unfortunately, I've never operated a drone before. It's a pity, cause I'm a huge fan of the newest technology. I'm amazed, how far we developed these devices and found a lot of purposes for them. I hope that someday I'll be able to operate a drone.
2. Do you see any disadvantages of using drones? Yeah, there're plenty of it. Starting with the basic one, which is privacy. You can watch people without their knowledge and remain anonymous - that sit scares me. What scares me more, is the possibility to attach weapon to the drones and be able to kill someone from far away.
3. What sector in your opinion achieve the most of using drones? Drones used to be a breakthrough for film industries. Thanks to these devices cameraman’s was able to achieve superior shots. Since then, drones get cheaper and more affordable for peasants. Now, we have a new generation of youtubers using drones in their vlogs. Video gets better and better, and a lot of advertising companies are gaining money from a good content. To sum up, my bet is on film industries in general.

1. Have you ever operated a drone? Where it was? Did you enjoy it?
I have never had a chance to operate a drone.
2. Do you see any disadvantages of using drones?
Maybe some issues with keeping privacy, as you can fly nearly everywhere.
3. What sector in your opinion achieve the most of using drones?
Probably photographers and movie industry, but it might change in the future as I can see great potential for drones in transportation. It would be great to send a drone with a small package or sending some medical things like blood or some medicines.
1. Have you ever operated a drone? Where it was? Did you enjoy it?

Unfortunately I have never operated one but I imagine that it must be a lot of fun from what I have seen. Anyone who had a possibility to play with such thing said that it is as fun as it can be.

2. Do you see any disadvantages of using drones?

Yes, I do. Many people tend to use drones to spy on other people. It is not a problem for a drone to fly next to a window and take a peek on a person who is inside. It is a easy thing to violate someones privacy with such drone.

3. What sector in your opinion achieve the most of using drones?

In exception of military I think that the sector which has achieved the most is the filmmaking sector. Thanks to the drones nearly everyone can now capture video from above. Earlier only huge production studios were able to do such things because they used to rent helicopter for such work.

1. No, I've never operated a drone, but I'd like to try. My boyfriend showed me a few videos on YouTube. In these videos, a group of people was operating drones using various obstacles. I think it's interesting, but it requires good skill, a reaction, and a sense of space.

2. I think drones can harm whoever is using them if that person is doing it wrong. The drone can also crash into a person or building if it used in the wrong place. As I know, the usage of drones is forbidden in the city.

3. I think, most often, drones used in a military zone. For example, to find out the location of the enemy, without risking the lives of people. Also, we can use drones in difficult to reach terrains.
1. I have, but it was a toy. It was pretty fun. I have never had the opportunity to use a real drone, but I would like to!
2. The only disadvantage I can think of is that they cannot be used near airports. I don't know why, I just heard that you can't use them. That's the only disadvantage
3. Military and some kind of fast delivery. That would be awesome to order something and receive a package from the drone on the same day

1. Have you ever operated a drone? Where it was? Did you enjoy it?
I have, it was in our backyard, which was an area to fly the drones because as you know right now we need to get permit to fly the drones if we want. it's fun but the battery dries fast tho.
2. Do you see any disadvantages of using drones?
Yes, chasing from the cops is not fun at all.
3. What sector in your opinion achieve the most of using drones?
Film makers.

1. Have you ever operated a drone? Where it was? Did you enjoy it?
Yes once. I've operated my friend's drone. It was dji mavic. For me, it was a toy like a remote control car, funny and interesting, but for him, it is a job and he makes really cool videos from a drone.

2. Do you see any disadvantages of using drones?
Yes, of course, there are some such as flying on private zones and airport zones. But fortunately, a lot of governments are making strict restrictions on using drones which I totally support.

3. What sector in your opinion achieve the most of using drones?
I think, for now, most of the drones are using for movie making and photography. But in the future, I believe, drones would be massively used in other sectors as delivery, development and of course military.
1. Have you ever operated a drone? Where it was? Did you enjoy it?

Unfortunately, I haven't tried to operate the drone yet. I would like to try it, I think it will be a very interesting experience and it will be fun.

2. Do you see any disadvantages of using drones?

I think it depends on who is using a drone. It could cause some harmful effect if the operator is not experienced or want to do some bad things. I also heard about the attack on a military object using drones, so this could cause some problems.

3. What sector in your opinion achieves the most of using drones?

I think delivery and video making sectors are achieving the most effects of it. It could make delivery very easy and quick for not a big amount of money. Video-making sector is using it all the time now, a lot of videos on YouTube are filmed using drones the same as some scenes in films are filmed using drones.
1. Have you ever operated a drone? Where it was? Did you enjoy it?
Yes, I did it few years ago and It was really cool as I did not only operate the drone but also had a vision from him as I had VR glasses on me that gave me vision from the drone cam!
2. Do you see any disadvantages of using drones?
The only one I can think of is how much place they can take to be placed. Of course we have mini drones that can fit in hand but when I think about drones as machines for caring something or firing with gun machines they are big and hard to fit in small areas.

3. What sector in your opinion achieve the most of using drones?
Making videos, war industry and carring items.

1. Have you ever operated a drone? Where it was? Did you enjoy it?

No I haven’t had the opportunity to operate a drone yet.

2. Do you see any disadvantages of using drones?

You can hear from time to time when someone entered the aerial space of an airport with a drone and it resulted in complete freeze of the traffic. But I think that if you use the drone according to its purpose and it doesn’t harm anybody, then I don’t mind that at all. I have seen a few amateur movies made with a camera on a drone and it looked fantastic.

3. What sector in your opinion achieve the most of using drones?

I think that photography industry received a huge boost with introduction of cameras mounted to the drone. Photos or movies made this way are very appealing. Also, the whole military industry gained a lot because whenever the terrain is hardly accessible or dangerous and people might be injured or killed, the army can send a drone for a quick recon.

Some of my friends have drones and I tried to control them. I think they are nice toys but expensive as for the possibilities that the average buyer can use. The main problem of drones is the evil intentions of the operator. They can be things like peeping at someone or even robbing people. On the other hand, the film industry has benefited positively, which can also be seen in the increasing number of scenes using drones. Where the camera effectively moves among buildings.
1. Have you ever operated a drone? Where it was? Did you enjoy it?
Yes, I have operated a drone several times in the garden and city center. I like it very much, especially making videos.
2. Do you see any disadvantages of using drones?
I mentioned only one disadvantage of using drone, maybe it was only mine drone problem: it couldn't fly when there was a strong wind.
3. What sector in your opinion achieve the most of using drones?
A lot of people use drones to make videos or movies (youtubers, filmmakers and tourists). Also there are often used by the army for exploration.
Thank you for your comment, I recomend you to try it, it is really fun. I agree with you about threat against our privacy. It can be a main problem of it. Thats why drones maybe should not be for all?
Thank you for your comment, it is such a sad story, I hope somebody repair it later. Operating a drone is not an easy thing. You see, it demands some skills from us. I agree with your opinion about usefull in military section.
Thank you for your comment, if you never operated any, you can rent one for a day and try it. Maybe you will enjoy it. Film makers uses drones all the time, it is a great improvment for quality of films from the air.
Thank you for your commeny, If you have an occasion just try it, do not be afraid. It is safier to try it on open space. It is not allowedto fly nearby the airport. For example with advanced drones with gps you can not even start in their zone. They are locked.
Thank you for your comment, I also started with the RC helicopter. It is so much fun if you can capture the shots during fly. Try it!. I agree with all of your statements
Thank you for your comment, it is like you wrote, really enjoyable. Yes, machine do not have disadvantages, but usage of them could be dangerous. Think about it what they can possibly dangerous do with it.
Thank you for your comment. I have heard about drones who catches another drones. It is quite popular these days. I agree with you funny also. The privacy is one of the scariest. Thats why you should fly over people, it is really dangerous machine.
Thank you for your comment, It is true, they are really cheap. I you have 1000 zl you can buy a really nice machine. Try it! I agree with you, thats why you should fly in some zones and you have a limited high in your drone.
Thank you for the comment. Try it one day. Yes spying the possibility of neighbours is definitely a disadvantage. Yes, in the few years I hope it will be more popular.
Thank you for your comment. It happens a lot, but I hope next flyies will be more succesfull. It is a true about smugglers and drug dealers. It is a big threat. I partly agree, in my opinion you have right with the film industry, but the transport will be in the future.
Thank you for your comment, if you want to try justr rent it. You can do it in Warsaw in good price. Maybe in the future it will be the one, but for sure it is growing
Thank you for your comment, would you like to try it? I agree with you all of these are a big threat to people.

Week 12 (12.01-18.01.15) Are you an early bird or a night owl ?

Owls are nocturnal creatures. They’re wide awake at night and they sleep during the day. If this sounds like bliss to you, then, like about 20 percent of the population who find themselves most active at around 9 pm, you may fall into the same category as our feathered friend. Night owls often have difficulty waking up in the morning, and like to be up late at night.  Studies of animal behaviour indicate that being a night owl may actually be built into some people’s genes. This would explain why those late-to-bed, late-to-rise people find it so difficult to change their behaviour. The trouble for night owls is that they just have to be at places such as work and school far too early. This is when the alarm clock becomes the night owl’s most important survival tool. Experts say that one way for a night owl to beat their dependence on their alarm clocks is to sleep with the curtains open. The Theory is that if they do so, the morning sunlight will awaken them gently and natura...

Week 11 [03-09.06.2019] The problem with ecological cars emission in UK

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form. These can be particles of sea salt, clouds from the Sahara and artificial compounds made by people. These compounds...
