What would be
sport like without competition? It would be probably a boring show. This
rivalry makes the sport so interesting. Every category of sport has its eternal
rivals. What makes one player want to be better than another? For example:
- In tennis it is Roger Federer vs Rafael Nadal.
- In basketball this is Kobe Bryant vs LeBron James.
- In football it is Lionel Messi vs Cristiano Ronaldo.
- In tennis it is Roger Federer vs Rafael Nadal.

I would
like to briefly describe the last of them - the rivalry of these two brilliant
footballers. I will start with a brief description of both of them.
Cristiano
Ronaldo is one of the best football players in the world. He is an offensive
player and usually plays as a striker. Ronaldo was born 32 years ago in Madeira
– a Portuguese island. During his career he has played
in clubs like Sporting CP (2002 - 2003), Manchester United (2003 - 2009) and
Real Madrid (2009 -). His idol has always been Luis Figo (a Portuguese football
star).
Lionel
Messi is also one of the best football players. He is an idol for millions of
people. Like Cristiano Ronaldo, he is an
offensive player. Messi is 2 years younger than Ronaldo. He was born in Argentina
in Rosario. His senior career is associated with only one club - FC Barcelona. Lionel
joined its senior squad in 2003.
At first,
their rivalry was not as promoted as it is now. This was due to the fact that
CR7 (Cristiano Ronaldo) played in the Premier League, while LM10 (Leo Messi) in
the Primera Division. A lot has changed when Cristiano Ronaldo signed
a contract with Real Madrid (94 million euros - it was the most expensive
football transfer) - the eternal rival of FC Barcelona - in 2009. Real Madrid
and FC Barcelona compete with each other in every possible field for example: transfer
records, football academies, advertising contracts, top managers, even
political(sic!) and of course footballers!

My favourite team is Real Madrid. I'm supporting them since I'm kid. It's hard to say why. When I was younger and my adventure with football was at the start point, I just watched random matches from different leagues and Real Madrid was a team that I found most fun to watch. There weren't so good, but that team was made of stars like Ronaldo el Fenomeno, Zidane, Carlos, Figo and then Beckham came in, that was something special/magical to watch them. Then I've bought their jersey, read about their history and started to support Real Madrid. Now they are having great times again, so it payd off to support them.
I never had opportunity to visit Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, unfortunately. Although, Real Madrid had played one match at Warsaw, against Fiorentina ( they also played against Legia, but that match was closed for supporters) and I watched it. That was an amazing felling for some that loves this team.
I would choose Real Madrid of course, but I'm not hater of Barcelona - I respect them a lot. Watching Messi doing his magic, dam that's something that every football fans love to.
As a fan of Real Madrid I would choose Cristiano Ronaldo. He will probably receive his fifth golden ball in two days, but to be fair it's impossible to say who's better. It's funny cause they are both imo best players in the history of football and still they are totally different. Messi is best dribbler ever, he has some kind of magic in his foots. Ronaldo is a perfectionist - he is fast, strong, he can play with his right and left foot, he can shoot with his head, he can shoot penalties and free kicks- basically he can do everything at very high level. So my answer is: they are both greatest and I do not think that there will be ever someone that will be as good as them - we should be really happy that we can watch them every weekend ;)
Generally, my favourite football team is Bayern Munich, which currently has a leading position in Bundesliga. However, according to your article I would prefer Real Madrid. No, unfortunatelly, I have never been on a match of my best football club, though I hope I'll do it one day.
Very difficult choice, because every team is really brilliant and has the best players in the world. Thus, it's very hard for me to make a particular choise. But, frankly speaking, I would rather choose one old RM with Zidane, Casillas, R.Carlos, Ronaldo, Owen, Figo and Guti.

Yeah,of course i was,an enormous amount of time, but not was so fascinated,especially when your favourite team is loosing 0:4 and didn't even try to make excuses - the main reason why - it's just a business.
Real Madrid, i think they are more structured team. And i would choose Ronaldo just because i know and made myself sure one more time because of statistics above.
If I must choose between Barca and Real I choose Barca. In the past it was the other way round. Cristiano Ronaldo makes me dislike Real. I don't like his behavior and that he cries. I know that he does a lot of good but I don't like him. In my opinion Messi is better than Cristiano. Messi is different than other footballers. His dribling and game style is amazing. I know that Cristiano is good but I don't understand his phenomenon. I think that he is overrated. It's my opinion.
basing on what I said before, Real Madrid is one of my favourite football clubs and FC Barcelona is its biggest enemy. ;P Back in the day Ronaldo was my favourite player, when he was playing for Manchester United. He had some really epic actions and goals that I loved to watch. In Real Madrid he isn't 'this' Ronaldo, his playing is not so charming as it used to be in ManU, he became more of a striker and goal machine. I'd say that Ronaldo and Messi are both great players and although I support Real Madrid, I think Messi is a bit better. You just can see a stroke of a genius when he play that Ronaldo sometimes lacks.

I was few times on the stadium. I like the atmosphere which is there.
I would choose FC Barcelona because of their style of playing football. I wouldn't choose Crystioano nor Messi. Both are great players and there is no point saying who is better. I am glad to be able to see them playing.

I've never been on a football match, though i saw some stadiums, mostly during trips to another countries. Allianz Arena, Feijenoord Rotterdam and stadium in Florence are some of them.

I'd chose Ronaldo though - Messi's been into some tax frauds lately. As far as I'm not interested in someone's finances, it just looks bad if a football star who makes hundreds of thousands of euros, tries to outrun the taxes...
Both of them are great players but Leo always using same tactics which is his only left foot while Ronaldo trying his best with both rights and left and sensational headers with incredible jumps, even we will not tell his speed. So it is quite good evidence who is better one
Real Madrid - why ? Because all my life I had a idol there Roberto Carlos, Iker Casillas, Luis Figo and finally Christiano Ronaldo. I'm lucky I lived all happy moments with the best team there is. Madridistas forever !

Here I have to be fair to both of them. My choice is Christiano Ronaldo because I have never saw in my life a player with that much of passion in what he is doing. Messi is a pure talent but something is missing for me - don't know what but great respect.
My favorite football team is Legia Warsaw, but i also love to watch Barcelona matches.

If you are asking me about Real/Barcelona then Barcelona, same with Ronaldo/Messi, Messi is the best. I respect Ronaldo but for me Messi has better playing style.
Last time when I was on stadium was about a year ago, I was skating at National Stadium.
Unfortunately i hate both of those teams. Mainly because of the cheaters like Sergio Ramos (which i hate the most). But if I had to do this I would choose FC Barcelona because Ramos is not there.
