Recently, running has become a trend. It's enough to get out on the street to notice at least few runners, no matter if you're in Warsaw or in small village somwhere in Mazury. Nowadays runners are everywhere. What have changed that people have decided to leave their couches and start doing sports? What encourage these people to leave their warm beds every early morning, to put their training shoes after busy day at work, just in order to run a few kilometers? What can be that tempting in sweating like a pig and spending several dozen of minutes running? Below you'll find some of the stimulus, and trust me, there's something more in running than people would expect.
Fit body. Let's begin with the obvious part. People mainly start running in order to lose some weight. That's the easiest method - the fastest, and the cheapest. You don't need a lot of equipment at the beginning, your legs are enough. With time when you get known runners' world, you start buying suddenly super necessary gadgets. Anyway, one hour of running allows you to burn approximately 700 kcal.
Health. It's very important to care about health from the earliest age. There's no single cell in your body, which wouldn't benefit from running (by the way, let's abolish some mits regarding running - it doesn't ruin your knees until you take care of them and toughen your quadriceps). Regular trainings protect you from plenty of diseases, it strenghtens blood flow, minimalizes risk of diabetes and much more.
Freedom. You can train alone, in group, outside, inside, everywhere in the world. You can come the distance you want, as fast as you want, as you can. Runner is a free man.
Happinnes. A lot of studies prove that running is a great treatment for depressions. On the very first stage of this disease it beats all of the medicines. Runners enjoy life and takes everything with greater energy, self-confidence and always positive mood.
Friends. Runners are usually very open-minded people. They are very open to make new friendships, you can experience it on the mass runs where there are no boundaries, everyone talks with everyone, there're only smiles and good words. That's how you can recognise runner on the street - they always smile! Common passion and strenght of the spirit build a great running community.
Age. There's no strict boundary when it comes to the age. There are 20 years old runners, 70 either. Running is for the whole life. It's never too late to try - it's just necessary to do it wise.
Perfection. Running improve not only your body, but also your soul. You suddenly find free time for a run even during the busiest day, you pay more attention for what you eat, how you sleep, how your day time looks like. You're more organized.
Brain. Not only the legs of the runner are strong. Also the mind is. During long runs, there's plenty of time to think everything over, look at the problems from another perspective. Everything begins to be more simple. You dig deep into yourself.
Progress. You improve yourself with every single run. It's about every battle you experience with yourself with your laziness, when you go for a run, even on that day when it's the last thing you'd like to do. There's always that feeling of the victory. Moreover, there's plenty of applicants with help of which you can follow your real progress - that looks ridiculous until you try it. That's seriously a great motivation.

For me the most popular company in Nike. I like very much their clothing products and running in them in pleasure. The also provide application for phone, that people can compete and compare their results.
But I like this trend anyway. In general – I like the trend, that more and more people are care more about themselves , and as you said - they eat better, they find time to exercise, that's really good thing :)
There are also plenty social media apps, like endomondo or nike application (photo in the article, I don't know the name) to track your activity and get motivated by your friends :)
That being said, I really hate running myself. I've tried it a few times and I'm totally not into it. I get bored, tired and frustrated even if I only have to run for 5 minutes to the bus stop :P As Paulina and Natalia, I definately prefer cycling or gym, things that are more diversified. Running is definately not my kind of thing.
But you have showed running great so I may try it once again in the future. I don’t know because It seems to me that I prefer cycling, fitness and other physical activity but no running.
I tried running five or six years ago, and I remember it was fun. Now I don't really have time for this but maybe after your presentation I will try to fit running into my daily holiday routine.
Personally I don't run. I've tried a few times, but I think I don't have enough willpower for this. I'm not sure why, but I guess I just don't like the pace. I prefer cycling. :) I also enjoy walking and I can do that for quite a long distances if I want to.

Some people are annoying because they are running on bike paths... I can'get it - why? They do it even when the sidewalk is empty.
I think that every outdoor activity makes my brain working better.
I admire people who are able to arrange them training, and their enthusiasm for running.
