We are living in times when computers, mobile phones, tablets and other
electronic devices are something normal. While walking the street we see people
eating, talking, partying, working etc. with their phone or laptop in hands and
no one is surprised. Those devices were made to ease people’s lives, do they?
They were designed to help us find
people that we lost contact with or to stay in touch with current
friends and of course, at the beginning it worked out. A
few years have passed and a lot of people can't imagine a day, or
sometimes an hour without it. They share photos, personal thoughts to be discussed by
everyone, chat with friends instead of meeting
them. How can we enjoy our lives if we are not looking around? Instead of making our lives interesting, trying new things we just watch
movies, short movies, vines, series- other people’s lives which were just designed by a
director.
After the success of Facebook there appeared
a lot of other sites- Instagram, Twitter. It causes huge communication problems
among especially young people- they cannot talk to people face to face but online.
They can't enjoy their meal until they share the photo
of it with their friends, they
can't feel happy in a relationship without showing it online. We should forget for a minute about social networking,
do something, we don’t have time for (because we are sitting with devices on knees),
meet friends, enjoy lives and this beautiful
world all around us!
Here is a great advertisement which shows
a fantastic idea for social media addicts.
By the way those are huge data bases with information about us.
Employers, friends, even enemies, they all can find whatever they want on all of these portals. We should find a border
between what we can and shouldn't share on the internet, because sometimes it
may cause a lot of problems. I found a short movie about dangers of
oversharing. Check it out.

I spend a lot of time communicating with people over the internet using my phone, but I do so using instant messengers as I find it much more convenient than text messaging and allows me to communicate with people I couldn't meet or text, because they live so far away. That's something I appreciate the most about the social aspects of the Internet.
I don't waste time on Facebook or other social apps since I started working. I don't scroll through my wall anymore. I just check messages.
Anyway I see the problem among the kids.I'm teaching a thirteen year old girl, which is very anxious when she cannot use her phone, while having lessons with me. She always had to be in contact with her best friend.when I asked when she saw her last time, she Answers "three weeks ago".when I was her age, I saw my best friend every day....
Now people prefer to send mails, then to phone (I catch myself doing it as well). It's difficult to see your relatives (it's easier to call and write an email). I think that it's not only the problem of social medias, but also by the fact, that we're living faster and faster. And it frustrate us. I'm afraid that it'll end very badly for us...
