Week 3: Social life on the Internet

We are living in times when computers, mobile phones, tablets and other electronic devices are something normal. While walking the street we see people eating, talking, partying, working etc. with their phone or laptop in hands and no one is surprised. Those devices were made to ease people’s lives, do they?
They were designed to help us find people that we lost contact with or to stay in touch with current friends and of course, at the beginning it worked out. A few years have passed and a lot of people can't imagine a day, or sometimes an hour without it. They share photos, personal thoughts to be discussed by everyone, chat with friends instead of meeting them. How can we enjoy our lives if we are not looking around? Instead of making our lives interesting, trying new things we just watch movies, short movies, vines, series- other people’s  lives which were just designed by a director.
After the success of Facebook there appeared a lot of other sites- Instagram, Twitter. It causes huge communication problems among especially young people- they cannot talk to people face to face  but online. They can't enjoy their meal until they share the photo of it with their  friends, they can't feel happy in a relationship without showing it online. We should forget for a minute about social networking, do something, we don’t have time for (because we are sitting with devices on knees), meet friends, enjoy lives and this beautiful world all around us!
Here is a great advertisement which shows a fantastic idea for social media addicts.
By the way those are huge data bases with information about us. Employers, friends, even enemies, they all can find whatever they want on all of these portals. We should find a border between what we can and shouldn't share on the internet, because sometimes it may cause a lot of problems. I found a short movie about dangers of oversharing. Check it out.

I can say I'm addicted to social media, though I think most of the examples were exaggerated. I know that we are supposed to say that social media is a waste of time, but in real life we think different. Nowadays almost everyone is using Facebook or other app, so you can be sure you can contact almost everyone. I myself am an addict but in an innocent way. I don't feel the need to check out my apps every 5 second but I like to feed myself with information. Of course most of it is unimportant but still I scroll and scroll until I find some interesting news that I wouldn't just type in on Google. The Coca-cola advertisement was showing the problem, but in real life I don't see it. Maybe it's just me, maybe it's the people I hang out with. However I believe there must be bigger addicts than me somewhere out there - after all this addiction is considered a medical disorder. Every case should be considered individually, as everyone reacts differently to the excess of information. For me social media don't weaken human ties. It's easy to cross the line if we neglect the real life, so we need to keep our bonds alive.

I use social media, but I don't really care much about that world. I don't use social media for communicating with the companies or looking for information about companies, unless you mean review sites, which also have social aspects.

I spend a lot of time communicating with people over the internet using my phone, but I do so using instant messengers as I find it much more convenient than text messaging and allows me to communicate with people I couldn't meet or text, because they live so far away. That's something I appreciate the most about the social aspects of the Internet.

I don't waste time on Facebook or other social apps since I started working. I don't scroll through my wall anymore. I just check messages.

Social medias are useful to the point. Unfortunately, I'm one of those who says, that itwould be difficult for me to live without them. But I'm trying to limit it.
Anyway I see the problem among the kids.I'm teaching a thirteen year old girl, which is very anxious when she cannot use her phone, while having lessons with me. She always had to be in contact with her best friend.when I asked when she saw her last time, she Answers "three weeks ago".when I was her age, I saw my best friend every day....
Now people prefer to send mails, then to phone (I catch myself doing it as well). It's difficult to see your relatives (it's easier to call and write an email). I think that it's not only the problem of social medias, but also by the fact, that we're living faster and faster. And it frustrate us. I'm afraid that it'll end very badly for us...
I suppose, in the last times humans are too much addicted to every single social portals and always forgetting about they closer contacts with other persons limited only to “likening” photos. In the internet there are many of spots, advertisements and movies especially on YouTube most similar to add sponsored by Coca-Cola’s. Although, I have account on Facebook, but I limited my friends to fellows from my real life, but I’m not the same like as the rest people which have dozens of friends only from web.
We live in the 21st century and we have to accept with presence of electronics devices and social media in our lifes. For me, all the technology make life easier. I can meet new people, in a split second I can find interesting information, find good restaurant or pub, spontaneously meet friends with foursquare, quickly and without mistakes get the place with GPS. I can’t imagine my life without it now. I save a lot of time. I often don’t know why so many technology arouses controversy. Why no one thinks about negative impact of cars or electricity. Without it, people are more likely to stay in the fresh air and meet by moonlight . Everything is for the people, but also should retain some consideration. I don’t see the problem that people do not meet face to face, just look at how many people meet on a Friday evening in Warsaw. The challenge is to find a free table. By the way Coca-Cola commercial is very funny.

I'm a only one in this group who haven't account in FB or Twitter ?. Wow awesome. For a long time I'm watching which way this is going. I have younger sister, and i think she is "social GEEK", she knows everything about FB, she spend a lot of time on it. I prefer to call than send an email or write a text message, I believe that FB etc. violate my privacy, invades every area of our lives. Young people are unaware of this fact. For example few years ago portal "nasza klasa" forced their users to transfer rights to their images, otherwise there lose their accounts.

I for one am not addicted to social media and don't really understand the people who are. Obviously I have a Facebook account, but that's simply because there are people with whom there are no other means of communication, sadly. I don't really use it, not the way I'm “supposed” to. When I see my friends or family (especially the Italian part) scrolling through the countless posts, not even actually reading them, only coming to life for briefs moments when they see somebody gave them a “thumbs up” I can't help but think of them as zombies. They mindlessly scroll through walls of nonsense pictures and/or text, not really understanding what they see. People just posting photos of everything they do or writing pseudo-philosophical stuff to show how smart and independent they are, all just to be the “popular one” on Facebook and have hundreds of so called Facebook “friends”. What's the point of all that?

I know this topic is not only about Facebook but I know a lot of people who can’t live without Facebook, twitter etc. and if someday Facebook or other website disappear they will be gone for sure. I can’t understand such affection but ok let’s say it is convenient, it is fast and simple way of communication with people but still refreshing app every second is sickness. What is the point of using such media like this?

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form. These can be particles of sea salt, clouds from the Sahara and artificial compounds made by people. These compounds often come fr
