Floaters
Have you ever looked at a clear blue sky and saw tiny worms that appeared to be moving around on your eyeball? You probably wondered what it could be and if anybody else can see it too. The video below will explain it all.
- Have you ever wondered what those tiny worms were? What was your guess before watching the video?
- Have you ever experienced the Blue Field Entoptic Phenomenon? (the second visual phenomenon that was mentioned in the video)
- Do you know of any other such vision phenomenon?

I have read about this effect before so it was not a surprise for me.
Have you ever experienced the Blue Field Entoptic Phenomenon? (the second visual phenomenon that was mentioned in the video)
In the video it was mentioned that everyone's eyes experiences this effect, but I cannot recall time when this happened to me.
Do you know of any other such vision phenomenon?
No I don't, I know are other diseases than phenomenons:)
I think that most people asked this question at some point in my life. I thought before watching this video that it was some living bacteria, that got somehow at the surface of the eye, that I'm seeing. I couldn't be more wrong.

I think I haven't or at least I cannot remember it right now. It looks interesting though, even I might freak out if it happened to me.

It's a hard question. I would go with hypnagonic hallucinations some people experience before they fall asleep. It's a few moment before drifting of to sleep, and it's about viewing vivid imagines before our closed eyes while still being awake.
Oh my, I have those sometimes, didn't know there was a name for it tho. I feel like shrinking or floating or falling etc. while I try to fall asleep. It is kinda annoying as it usually wakes me up. I think it is quite common, especially the falling experience. Amazing what our brain can convince us to.
2. No, I have never encountered this type of phenomenon. As soon as I saw them on the computer screen, I immediately started to feel dizzy. Quite a strange phenomenon.
3. Perhaps the most popular optical phenomenon that comes to mind is the mirage. It is a natural phenomenon resulting from the refraction of light in air of different temperature and density.
I have never wondered to be honest what those tiny worms are. To be honest I have tried to explain to myself what it is and I thought I have some problems with my eyes, but when I have talked with the others and realized that not only me see this worms I think it is normal staff and there is nothing to be worried about. I guessed it was some warms, or just illusion because I often saw that when I was looking at the sky.
2. Have you ever experienced the Blue Field Entoptic Phenomenon? (the second visual phenomenon that was mentioned in the video)
Yes I have experienced it before, I didn't know the name of this phenomenon before. I have read few articles about it after your blog post. I find it very interesting. I have tried to do it on cue, but it didn't work out at first. Moreover I think I like to follow this "worms" by my eyes.
3. Do you know of any other such vision phenomenon?
I think I don't know such spectacular phenomenon, but I like the tricks like oblique eyes and see some text which is hidden for example in the photo. I find it very interesting how we can manipulate the image.
As I child I used to think about those small half-transparent things much more often than I do now but I have never actually found an answer (maybe because I've never even looked for it) to the question what it really is. Until now of course. I used to think that those small particles are not in my eye or on the surface but are somewhere ahead of me. As I grew older I realised that it might be something much closer and I thought that those are some kind of dust particles on my eyeballs.
Have you ever experienced the Blue Field Entoptic Phenomenon? (the second visual phenomenon that was mentioned in the video)
Yes I have and I am amazed by the fact what that really is. It makes a lot of sense but I would never think that it has so much of to do with physics. I always thought that it is something projected onto our sight by the brain. I would never guess that those are white blood cells.
Do you know of any other such vision phenomenon?
Not really, to be honest. I don't think about those things as long as anyone doesn't remind me about them. I could mention the fact that our mind ignores the fact that we can always see our nose.
Yes, I have wondered many times what those are but I never checked or googled it. I thought those are microscopic living bacteria or something like it. Turns out I was very wrong.
2. Have you ever experienced the Blue Field Entoptic Phenomenon? (the second visual phenomenon that was mentioned in the video)
Yes I did but I had no idea what is that and that it is a well known phenomenon.
3. Do you know of any other such vision phenomenon?
I do not know specific name for this phenomenon but it is a situation when it is very hot and you can see air “moving” or almost vibrating over some hot objects like concrete or an hood of a car.
Oh, you noticed the second phenomenon? You are the first :)
I can cross my eyes! It was a neat trick in the kindergarten :D Have you ever seen an autostereogram? It looks like a strange pattern image that has a hidden surprise. When you focus your eyes a bit further than the actual image, you will see a 3 dimension shape! Google it and try, I promise it works! Tho, not everybody is able to unfocus their eyes like that.
Oh, you also noticed the second phenomenon before? Maybe it is not as rare as I thought.
I love this fun fact with the nose! The funniest think about it, is that when you realise it you can see your nose again :D Kind of like when you remember you are breathing and now it doesn't happen automatically.
Ok, that's it. I think I am a minority now that I didn't notice this phenomenon before...
That is actually just air you see, or more specifically the light that passes through the air. When heat tries to escape it mixes up the air creating a kind of a hot current and in heat light travels faster than in cold air. That's why we see the difference, the distortion of the light in air.
