Week 6 [30.11 - 6.12] Signs from the Universe

A Finnish Concert Flutist, Ulla Suokko, tells a story about exploring signs from the Universe through all her life. She learned how to see these signs, interpret, and implement them into reality. It seems that the Universe has always shown Ulla which direction she should move and which decisions to take.

Questions:

1.     Do you believe in signs from the Universe?

2.     Do you consider yourself a master of your destiny?

3.     If you were given an opportunity to ask anything about your future (and the answer would be true), what would you ask?

4.     Do you tend to live for the moment?

1. Part of me believes in signs from the universe. As sometimes it’s hard to understand how some things work out together. The other part of me likes to be rational and think finds an explanation for almost anything. So for me, it’s a constant battle between believing in the power of humans and how our actions always have consequences and me believing that people are such a small part of the whole universe that we definitely don’t know everything and can’t explaining everything.
2. I like to believe so. Every decision I make I always remind myself that it will have some consequences and that I need to take into consideration how it might affect me or people around me. Also, I love to calculate all of the possible outcomes and the ways I will solve any of the problems that might appear in the process.
3. Oh, that’s a deeeeep question. As I can imagine I’m given only 1 try in this so I’ll need to think seriously about the question I’m about to ask. To be honest, as I'm writing this comment I’m understanding more and more that right now, at this point in my life, I wouldn’t ask anything and rather save this question for a bit more distant future.
4. Usually, I don’t. I like to plan and organize. 99% of the time I know what I’m doing during this week and have a close plan of what I’m doing the next week. I might not have the 5/10-year life plan written down but I will at least have a rough idea of what I expect to achieve and what needs to be done for that. But still, sometimes I do enjoy unexpected, unplanned things. One of the best memories I have is a spontaneous one-day getaway with my friends to Gdansk that nobody actually planned planning. I just got a call at 6 AM that tickets are already bought and our train is leaving at 8.

@Palina Most of my feelings and thoughts on this topic are like yours. Moreover, I love to make plans and to dream about them. My biggest problem right now is that it has no sense to plan anything. At the same time, it's extremely hard for me to actually l i v e every day, because I drown in hopes about a better future.
1. Do you believe in signs from the Universe?
I am not superstitious and i don't believe in any sings from the universe. If you think that you shouldn't to do something it just intuition or maybe cheap excuses. In my opinion there is no some hidden force that can give signs etc.

2. Do you consider yourself a master of your destiny?
Yes, i think everyone is master of his destiny and things which you do have impact for you, for your future and environment arround you. Even if you don't think that smallest thing but still it is matter.

3. If you were given an opportunity to ask anything about your future (and the answer would be true), what would you ask?
I could ask how my life will looks like or am i happy. If i would be satisfied with answer i would just keep doing what i do and if not i could change it.

4. Do you tend to live for the moment?
It depends to the moment. I try to find balance in my life - something like golden mean. I think it is the best option because you can enjoy your life or moment and you also don't have to worry about future.
1. Do you believe in signs from the Universe?
It's hard to say, I think some people believe in signs, in higher forces in the universe.

2. Do you consider yourself a master of your destiny?
Of course, I think everyone is the master of their own destiny.
Everyone gets what they deserve. I don't know what else to write

3. If you were given an opportunity to ask anything about your future (and the answer would be true), what would you ask?
If the answer would be true, then I would not ask anything. Because in this case, there can be two outcomes. If the answer is positive, te satisfactory, then I can relax and my "future" can change for the worse or vice versa.
But if the answer is unsatisfactory, then I may despair and roll my sleeves down.

4. Do you tend to live for the moment?
The question is a little unclear.
I will say so that an adult and independent life teaches you to plan everything for the future and not live one day.

1. I believe that there may be signs coming from the universe because it is enough to imagine that somewhere there is such a civilization as ours, and we send signs to the universe so another civilization could also do it.
2. I believe that everyone is responsible for their own fate most of the time. There are random things that affect us, but we mainly create our own future.
3. If I could ask one thing about my future, I would ask if I would ever travel. If the answer was negative, I would leave immediately after graduating from the university in order not to miss my chance to travel. If the answer was positive, I would be calmly waiting for this moment without risking other aspects of my life.
4. Unfortunately, I do not have such a tendency. My life has so far been arranged, organized and carefully thought out. When I am able to say that I have done well so far and that it is possible to rest, I will start live for the moment.

I'm not really big fan of sign from universe theory, I'm rather borderline sceptic. That includes all mystic mumbo-jumbo. As offensive as it may sound, I think signs from universe is just lazy people way of removing (only seemingly) pressure tomake hard decisions.
I like to think I'm master of my destiny. Of course, there are lots of variables that are beyond my control, nevertheless I do everything in my power to achieve my goals. But my thinking is that I can't just leave everything to luck, it's just little part of everything. The bulk of my destiny is hard work, in order to achieve my goals.
Third question is pretty easy to me, as I've been thinking about it on numerous occasions. I'm too much of a realist to ask for some life lessons. I guess lotto numbers/stock information would be just right tip from my future. I know that it sounds boring and plane but i think that's the way.
I try to live in the moment. It's not that easy due to lots of tasks to do on regular basis. I got to go to work, then studies, then my own projects and to do all of it in 24 hours. But I still try to squeeze as much as i can out of every event/meeting/opportunity.

1. Do you believe in signs from the Universe?

Yes, I believe that the Universe sends signs quite often they are not easy to notice and only a small amount of people can do that.

2. Do you consider yourself a master of your destiny?

In my opinion these are contradictory concepts, if I have a destiny then it will take me wherever it have to despite that I am a master or not. Having that in mind I would say that there is no destiny our lives mostly depends on the choices we made and on the effort that we put.

3. If you were given an opportunity to ask anything about your future (and the answer would be true), what would you ask?

Of course it would be currency rates and share prices.

4. I used to live for the moment when I was younger, these days I have tendency to live for the nearest future.

1. Do you believe in signs from the Universe?
Your question helped me understand whether I believe or not, it really depends on the situation. For example, if a friend of mine is sick in the hospital and a black cat crosses my path, I might think that this is a bad sign. But if all is well, and I just had a good day, and the same cat crossed my path, I might not even notice.
2. Do you consider yourself a master of your destiny?
Yes, I think that our life, our happiness, well-being are all about the choices we made. And I think that our destiny is also our responsibility. So it made my life really easy, because whenever something goes wrong, I always have only one person to blame - me :)
3. If you were given an opportunity to ask anything about your future (and the answer would be true), what would you ask?
I don't want to ask anything about my future. I like to live my life as it is, not knowing anything that I should not know. You know, the answer may not make you happy at all, so why.
4. Do you tend to live for the moment?
I tend to live thinking about my future, and sometimes my past. Living in the present moment seems to be something that Buddhism calls Zen. And I really don't think I have reached that level of concentration.

@Przemysław I agree with you about keeping some balance in our lives. I would do the same but sometimes I hope for the destiny

@Illia currency rates and share prices are truly 100% important. I would ask even a Jinn that.

@Dariia I tend to teach myself that I am not always the only person to blame and my mental health got better since then

@s16427 Mumbo-jumbo sounds quite intriguing, but I agree with that there are always lazy people out there waiting for the happiness to come and shine

@Piotr I think well-arranged life could be sometimes boring, but if it suits your life style it’s your choice

@Zhypargul I really liked your answer for the 3rd question, it makes total sense. I will remember it in the future.

@Dariia Truly, I don’t know what I would ask! It’s really a hard question, that’s why I decided to ger answers from other people 😊

@Palina You are sating that you don't like to plan or organise, but as your friend I can say that you are doing that most of the time.

@Piotr From my observations it’s 50/50 random things and our responsibility. Probably it’s a good thing that we don’t have 100% of our own responsibility in live.

Week 12 (12.01-18.01.15) Are you an early bird or a night owl ?

Owls are nocturnal creatures. They’re wide awake at night and they sleep during the day. If this sounds like bliss to you, then, like about 20 percent of the population who find themselves most active at around 9 pm, you may fall into the same category as our feathered friend. Night owls often have difficulty waking up in the morning, and like to be up late at night.  Studies of animal behaviour indicate that being a night owl may actually be built into some people’s genes. This would explain why those late-to-bed, late-to-rise people find it so difficult to change their behaviour. The trouble for night owls is that they just have to be at places such as work and school far too early. This is when the alarm clock becomes the night owl’s most important survival tool. Experts say that one way for a night owl to beat their dependence on their alarm clocks is to sleep with the curtains open. The Theory is that if they do so, the morning sunlight will awaken them gently and natura...

Week 11 [03-09.06.2019] The problem with ecological cars emission in UK

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form. These can be particles of sea salt, clouds from the Sahara and artificial compounds made by people. These compounds...
