I would like to present the fantastic series Love Death and Robots.
You can watch trailer on Youtube:
It is an anthology - each episode is a separate story. Eighteen short episodes made by various animation studios. Finally, fans of Sci-Fi book anthologies have a worthy serial equivalent.
If you are not a Sci-Fi fan then you should watch this series because of its insane realization. Sometimes it's hard to notice that an episode is an animation. For true Sci-Fi fans, this is a must.
Of course, it's hard to clearly define what the Sci-Fi genre is, but most often works from this genre talk about the future and the impact of science on humanity. On the other hand, there are very often universal psychological motifs that say a lot about ourselves and also about the times we live in.
All the best in Sci-Fi you can get in this series. The only minus of the series are quite short episodes of 7-20 minutes, oh...and number of episodes – 18. :( After watching this visual masterpiece, you want more!
My favorite episodes are Zima Blue, and Three Robots.
The first one is an adaptation of the short wokrs written by Alastair Reynolds from Winter Blue and Other Stories collection.
The story itself can be interpreted differently. For me, this is the answer to the question where you can find happiness after a long search.
The second one is about three robots visiting a post-apocalyptic city talking about a human species that has long since died out. This is an excellent comedy full of humor, irony and a little truth about humanity.
To sum up, do you like Sci-Fi or don't you have to see it! This is a masterpiece of animation!

Comments
1.
No, I've heard about it, but never have watched it. Yeah, I'm a fan of the genre, so I look up to watch it when I get some free time.
2.
Firefly is an amazing classic Sci-Fi series. The show explores the lives of a group of people, some of whom fought on the losing side of a civil war, who make a living on the fringes of society as part of the pioneer culture of their star system. In this future, the only two surviving superpowers, the United States and China, fused to form the central federal government, called the Alliance, resulting in the fusion of the two cultures.
3.
It's hard to pick, but maybe "Stranger in a Strange Land". It's about a human who comes to Earth in early adulthood after being born on the planet Mars and raised by Martians, and explores his interaction with and eventual transformation of Earth culture
Have you watched this series? If so, what episode do you like the most and why?If not, do you want to see it?
Yes, and I love the idea of each episode being made in different style. However, that also means most of the audience will love some episodes and hate other. Me personally I loved the first one the most. The style, plot, it just felt so good. At the same time, most of the other episodes were complete trash.
Can you recommend other Sci-Fi series? What are these series about?
Sadly, I cannot. I do not watch any series.
Do you have any favorite sci-fi novel? What is it about?
It will be "Hard to be God" by Strugatsky brothers. Actually, there is no need to introduce neither that novel nor the authors. THey simply hold top one spot in the sci-fi literature, check it out for yourself (they are fully translated to Polish as well).
I didn't heard before about this series. I am not huge fan of animated videos but maybe i will check one episode after summer time because yesterday i resigned from netflix.
2. Can you recommend other Sci-Fi series? What are these series about?
I can recommend The 100 from netflix but i saw only 1 or 2 seasons later stage manager killed one of more interesting character so i decided to don't watch more. No one like spoilers so i can tell you it is something like survival movie. You can find here people with technology of future and from past times.
3. Do you have any favorite sci-fi novel? What is it about?
Altered carbon is also quite good. It is located in future and one of the crucial part is that people can change bodies. If you are interesting about story - it is related with crime investigation.
Yes, it was one of the series I have watched during the quarantine for two days. It is really the great animation work there! Interesting fact, those episodes were created by animation studios from different countries.
My favourite episode is «Good Hunting» about the werewolf fox.
And of course, the most memorable episode is «When The Yogurt Took Over»! :D
2. Can you recommend other Sci-Fi series? What are these series about?
I will advise The Black Mirror series. Like in the Love Death and Robots, all episodes are not connected and tell the different stories about humanity`s future.
Besides, I can recommend you a cartoon, Rick and Morty, it was mentioned in one of the presentations this week.
3. Do you have any favourite sci-fi novel? What is it about?
I also want to mention the Altered Carbon novel. It is about the future when people have reached immortality through consciousness that can be transferred to different bodies. There is also a Netflix series based on it.
I don't have a favorite sci-fi novel, but I'm a big fan of Star Wars (probably everyone has seen at least one episode) and the Fallout game series (post-apocalyptic world after the nuclear war between the US and China).
I've watched a few episodes. It's been a while since then, so I don't really remember them clearly, but even though I'm not into sci-fi cinema I really enojyed them. As I said before, I watched them quite a time ago, so I can't tell which one I liked the most, but the one with three robots you mentioned was definitely a good one. Thank you for reminding me about this series, I might watch some of the episodes that I missed the last time :)
2. Can you recommend other Sci-Fi series? What are these series about?
Utopia (2013) - one of my favourite TV series. It's a black comedy-conspiracy thriller drama with some sci-fi vibes, about a group of people, who meet online and who discovered a bizarre graphic novel which seems to "hold mysterious answers". To me, 10/10, you should give it a try.
3. Do you have any favorite sci-fi novel? What is it about?
Sci-fi novels are not really my cup of tea.
I haven't but you convinced me to watch them all :) I am a big sci-fi and fantasy fan.
2. Can you recommend other Sci-Fi series? What are these series about?
Unfortunately I watched only a few series in my life and my adventure with them is quite fresh. I prefer to read books but never reject a good recommendation for another kind of sci-fi entertainment.
3. Do you have any favorite sci-fi novel? What is it about?
Yes, I have. I recommend you to read a book written by Frank Herbert- 'Diuna' or another one from Jacek Dukaj- "Perfekcyjna niedoskonałość. The first one is a huge story about how to survive and win in a world full of enemies, with little resources to start. The second one is about a human's and artificial intelligence future.
1) No, I haven't heard about this series. That's probably because I usually don't watch anything. After all, I find it a bit too time-consuming.
2) As I already mentioned, I don't watch any series so I can give no recommendation. From Sci-Fi movies I recommend everybody to watch all of the episodes of Star Wars because it is an amazing story of life in another galaxy in which we could also find some "tastes" and connections to our lives.
3) I am not into reading Sci-Fi or any kind of Fantasy, so again, I am sorry but I can't recommend anything.
2. I don't like those movies. I was even bored with Star Wars.
I don't read books like that . I like Pratchett's books. He's the author of a book called The Long Earth. It is very specific, but you can find topics in this book that are described by you. In the book Long Earth you can read about discovering alternative worlds similar to the Earth. The Low Earths, i.e. the worlds lying close to the Basic Earth, are almost identical to the Earth, but man has not appeared there before. But the farther away from the Basic Earth, the more different the worlds are from our planet.
I haven't watched this series yet, but I will definitely do It today. I'm very interested how it looks and I like that every episod has a different story.
Can you recommend other Sci-Fi series? What are these series about?
I can recommend HBO production "The leftovers", it is a sci-fi about existential topics and I found it very interesting. It shows how people explain something that is not unknown to them.
Do you have any favorite sci-fi novel? What is it about?
No I don't know any sci-fi novel.
Yes, I have watched it this year and my favourite episode is about yogurt. I think it's a great allusion on AI but it is also just funny. Moreover, the animation is nice for me but it depends on taste.
2. Can you recommend other Sci-Fi series? What are these series about?
Depends on what you want. Star Wars and Doctor Who are both sci-fi but are completely different. Others can be sci-fi but fantasy at the same time because of a huge amount of fusion today. So sometimes it's easier to talk about fantastic in general. In this case, I'd like to recommend you Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency. But you'd better watch its trailer on your own.
3. Do you have any favorite sci-fi novel? What is it about?
I think I've not read sci-fi novels or just can't remember. Only some short stories, Ray Bradbury, I think.
Yes, I have seen it and I enjoyed every second of it. I love that Netflix agreed to create independent animation series. The one that made the biggest impression on myself was "The Witness". Despite how great the story and narrative was what I loved the most about it was the art style. It was amazing. Everyone should go and watch it.
Can you recommend other Sci-Fi series? What are these series about?
I can't think of any sci-fi series that I really enjoyed. There is this thing with me that Ienjoy sci-fi movies much more than sci-fi series. I am a fan of Rick and Morty so I guess that's my choice. If someone haven't seen it already - give it a try.
Do you have any favorite sci-fi novel? What is it about?
I am not sure if this counts as novel but there is this french comic series called "Snowpiercer". Netflix did a series based on it recently and there is also a movie about this universe. The whole concept of it is that the world is frozen and the only living people are stuck in a train which never stops. The poor live in a back of the train while the richest were placed at front. Love the idea.
2. I'll go with Altered Carbon, it is a remarkable series that you can watch on Netflix. It tells a story of a man, brought back to life in a different body after his mind was collected to serve a sentence for his crimes. The world is set in a dystopian setting, where you don't die, but your mind can be put in other body. If you haven't watched it already, it is a must!
3. My favourite Sci-Fi novel so far was Isaac Asimov's "Foundation." It is a book series, containing 7 volumes, that tells a story of a fall of galactic imperium, focusing on political changes around it. This book raises topics like power, manipulation and dictatorship. It is not a very light read, however, the writer has an easy-to-read style.
2/3. To be honest I'm not the sci-fi fan, so i can't reccomend anything
I don't like sci-fi movies and series, so unfortunately I can't recommend one. I definitely prefer detective stories, so if you want to change genre, I recommend Black List.
2 / I'm not sure about anything new, but I will definitely include Star Trek and Rick and Morty on this list ...
3 / Yes, this is a series of visual novels by Mass Effect, as a continuation of the universe of the famous trilogy of the game.
As far as I remember I gave it a try but resigned after 5th or 6h episode (so that's half of the episodes, I suppose)
I vaguely remember any episode beside the one with the blue artist (?). I can't remember the details, but I'm sure I was impressed after watching that episode.
I would probably enjoy the show more if I was into graphical/animation craftsmanship, just as a great showcase of skills and dose inspiration. But without that aspect show seemed to be a bit dull.
Can you recommend other Sci-Fi series? What are these series about?
I don't watch any tv series. There are a couple of them on my watchlist but I haven't picked them up yet. Westworld will be probably my choice if I ever decide to try series ;)
Do you have any favorite sci-fi novels? What is it about?
Ah, that's very simple! My obvious choice is "Do androids dream of electric sheep" by Philip K. Dick. On the one side is just... "bladerunner's" plot, but on the other, it's a very thought-provoking novel about ethics towards AI and the meaning of the religion in society. Whilst "Do android dream" is my favorite book, the movie "Bladerunner" is officially rated by me on Filmweb 2/10. I was so extremely disappointed by the movie after reading a book.
Yes, I have watched this series. I find it very interesting and entertaining. Also, some episodes could make you think for a while, about what the author wanted to tell using this story and what you should see. My favorite one is episode 4, called "Sonnie's edge", I find the animation there fantastic!
Can you recommend other Sci-Fi series? What are these series about?
TO be honest, I don't know. I don't like too much Sci-Fi genre at all. I think "Altered Carbon" from Netflix is quite interesting. I like the future is presented in those series and what technologies people are using.
Do you have any favorite sci-fi novel? What is it about?
No, I don't have favorite ones, because I don't like this genre too much, as I said previously.
2. I would recommend Altered Carbon, a series about a man who wakes up in new body after 250 years since he died and has to solve the case of his own murder.
3. I don’t have a favorite sci-fi novel, I prefer criminals
1. I have not watched this series yet, but it has been recommended to me many times, and I plan on watching it soon.
2. Currently my favourite Sci-Fi series is Rick and Morty. I know it's popular, but I find it very funny and interesting, To be fair though, you have to have a very high IQ to understand this series. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. I recommend you watch it and for sure you'll have a blast doing so!
3. My favourite sci-fi novel must be "The hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams. I know that it's more than a novel, as it started as a radio comedy broadcast, but the books are great to read and were my first Sci-fi books I've ever read. In short, the story is about human named Arthur who is being rescued from Earth, as it has been destroyed by Aliens. The story follow his adventures through the galaxy to find his place as a last human survivor.
I havent watched this series yet. I will start just after doing english posts :)
Can you recommend other Sci-Fi series? What are these series about?
Lately i have watched Altered Carbon series. Its placed in a world where people can duplicate their consciousness into small implant implanted into their necks. The story is about a soldier who is arranged into solving a case of a murder. Its very interesting mainly because of the creation of the world.
Do you have any favorite sci-fi novel? What is it about?
As written above at the time im impressed by the alterd carbon universe. I would love to get another season or full movie or even video game aobut it.
2. I can’t remind myself any sci fi series that i would recommend.
3. Same as in previous question i can’t think of any. I’m more into fantasy, adventure novels and i can recommend audiobooks of the witcher and harry potter series, they are very well made.
Of course I watched one of my favorite animated series. This series has a very different story
which raises contemporary problems. My favorite series is "blue zima", very addictive and with an interesting ending
2.Can you recommend other Sci-Fi series? What are these series about?
Hard to say but certainly Mandalorian is a very nice Sci-Fi series. I recommend it to others
Rick and Morty animated series, warning specific humor :)
3.Do you have any favorite sci-fi novel? What is it about?
I think I only have one item and it is Ender's Game. Very interesting sci-fi book, all the action is happening
in the future and the earth is threatened by aliens. I won't tell you again :)

I have never watched this series. At the moment I do not plan to watch this series, maybe someday when I get bored, I will try to watch as long as I catch the title.
2. Can you recommend other Sci-Fi series? What are these series about?
I haven't seen a good Sci-Fi series for a long time. Some time ago I really liked the series "Stargate SG-1" it is a story about a team traveling through the gates to other planets with similar gate in different corners of the cosmos meeting other people and aliens species exploring their civilizations and sometimes fighting with them.
3. Do you have any favourite sci-fi novel? What is it about?
I'm rather a fantasy person, so it's rather hard for me to offer some books on this theme except maybe the star wars series
2. I think my favorite Sci-Fi series is The 100, its story about people who lived in space for 100 years because there was very high level of radioactivity on Earth and after those 100 years they sent prisoners on earth to see if it was possible to live.
3. Stories about the world of the disk by Terry Pratchett, its story about magician who cannot magic and must guard tourist from another world, so that he doesnt hurt him
No, I not a fan of animation nor Sci-Fi series, so I don't really want to watch this.
Can you recommend other Sci-Fi series? What are these series about?
Like I said I'm not a fan of this but I know that stranger things is one of those and it's
about a group of young friends who witness some supernatural forces.
Do you have any favorite sci-fi novel? What is it about?
No, I don't know any, sorry.
I didn't heard before about this series. I am not huge fan of animated videos but maybe i will check one episode after summer time because yesterday i resigned from netflix.

Yes i've seen 5 series, my favourite is first one. Why ? because i like 3d modeling and i know one guy on Artstation who did this fantastic creatures.
Can you recommend other Sci-Fi series? What are these series about?
I dont like to watch sci-fi series. Prefer to watch something like "Breaking Bad", "Game of Thrones" or "Mr. Robot".
Do you have any favorite sci-fi novel? What is it about?
Maybe yes, again, i dont like to sci-fi but i like "Startrek" its something like "Star Wars" but i love it more then star wars.
- unfortunately on netflix the series was presented to users in a different order. I don't know which one was first for you.
Oh. Thank you for another classic sci-fi novel. I'll read that too :)
It's hard to be a god, but it's even harder to be a human;)
I haven't heard of "the Long Earth". For me this is a relatively new book.
Do you know that Fish Night was created by the Polish studio - Platige Image?
The foundation is my next must have. I don't know when I'll find time for this.
Hmm Blade Runner ...
Audioteka directed a professional radio play based on "Do androids dream of electric sheep". Maybe you would like it?
Yes, I have. I like the most episodes "Three Robots", "When the Yogurt Took Over" and "Ice Age". The reason is simple, all three episodes are really funny and creative, especially "When the Yogurt Took Over". This one is definitely must see.
2. Can you recommend other Sci-Fi series? What are these series about?
Unfortunately I'm not into Sci-Fi, but maybe anime version of Godzilla? Humanity have had to run away from the Earth, but few years later they try to get back their planet. But first they need to beat a huge monster called Godzilla.
And also Neppu Kairiku Bushi Road - it's about post-apocalypse Earth, where people have to fight with a poison and illness.
And of course comedy-sci-fi movie Evolution! It's about aliens' invasion.
And maybe all movies made for Final Fantasy games? They are combination of fantasy and sci-fi and they are pretty good animated.
3. Do you have any favorite sci-fi novel? What is it about?
Well, I really like Metro trilogy from Dmitry Glukhovsky. It's about post-war Earth. People have to live underground at metro stations and survive attacks of mutants.
