For me Elon Musk is more than a person, he’s a symbol of freedom. Freedom in doing, saying, achieving what we want. He is also an example of a man ready to act on his words, looking forward to new experiences not tethered by what was in the past.

Lately you probably have heard about him having to step down from Tesla's Director’s Board after controversial tweet, here is Time's article on that,
or maybe about his twitter activities, the Hyperloops first tunnel opening in December of this year and maybe even his upcoming brand of tequila.

Nonetheless you have heard of him or his actions, and seeing as he does not feel confined on social media you are bound to hear more.

The man with power and means to do what he wants, who does what he wants, real life Tony Stark. Elon Musk.

  • What do you think about Elon Musk ?
  • How do you feel after me comparing him to Tony Stark’s figure ?
  • Do you think Elon Musk should restrain himself from controversial social interactions(tweets)?

What do you think about Elon Musk?
He is an impostor and fraud. He has yet to succeed at anything but somehow spins every failure into proof of imminent success convincing investors to pump more money into his companies.

How do you feel after me comparing him to Tony Stark’s figure?
Quite accurate, however real life is not a movie, he is funded by the government.

Do you think Elon Musk should restrain himself from controversial social interactions(tweets)?
Panem et circenses. He fits perfectly into modern idea of start-ups and generally easy and controversial business management. That's what's makes this fraud.
>He is an impostor and fraud
Why do you feel like that about him ?
Lukasz Mroczek said…
Generally I like him a lot. His ideas are great and his brain is incredible. Also he must be good entrepreneur because he is leading big companies. To be honest I think that despite all his success he is not experienced enough in long term leading companies and he may loose everything by stupid mistake. Of course I keep my fingers crossed and I believe that he will still be revolutionizing our world. I’m not really into Iron Man so I won’t answer this question. About his “social face”, I think that he should for sure be more careful in internet.
ExoKuzo said…
Yes he should be more careful when on the internet. What do you thing about what Peter Clemenza wrote ? He called Elon impostor and fraud.
Nataliya Tkach said…
He is called Tony stark of the real world, a worthy heir to Bill Gates and Steve jobs in one person. An entrepreneur who made a fortune on Internet startups has become a visionary who thinks about a better future for humanity. Poorly versed in Internet banking, rocket science and electric vehicles, Elon Musk repeatedly broke into a new industry with the confidence that he knows better than anyone what customers want. And it turned out that he really knew.
I don't think he should hold back. People are interested in what is created and how or what new ideas come. This shows his openness.
Absolutely agree with Peter. Panem et circenses. What made Elon Musk such popular and beloved figure is a precise and accurate usage of media. Sure, there are achievements. Quite huge and impressive, let's admit. Starting an electrical cars trand, for example. Again, thanks to the media. But there are many people like him. That come from a poor family, but capable of achieving a lot. They hold a colossal responsibility, they rule monstrous companies, they invent. But Elon is the only that has time for Twitter and some stupid antics. I have a feeling that he is either going through his mid age crisis now (too late, it seems), or he could not stand the test of responsibility, and, as a logical result, was suspended from ruling Tesla. I don't know, who Tony Stark is, but if everybody compares them both, it only proves my words about that he is definitely not the only one of his kind, but infantilism -- that is what makes him "Shine".
It is hard to find a constant Internet user that did not hear about Elon Musk. We know that he is a brilliant mind, an engineer, programmer, inventor. And we act like he is the only one of that kind. But let's be honest: amongst all of his achievements, how many have directly impacted you? Did he invent the streaming video technology, that gave us such thing as YouTube? Did he make a phone with a bitten apple on a back that half of the world uses? Come on, guys, how many of you actually own a Tesla? I am not telling that such effort on saving environment is bad, no. But Elon is not the only person to do so, as the Internet pictures him. You probably did not hear about Listen to this article
Dennis Ritchie or Guido van Rossum. That is because they did not use their Twitter account while being drunk. In my opinion, such antics are unacceptable for a person like Elon -- a ruler of huge companies, and one of the most iconic figures of our time. Like, seriously, imagine a Steve Jobs or Bill Gates joking around with his followers in Twitter. Such attitude just simply do not suit a person of that social status. It has logically led to his suspension from ruling Tesla, and, in my opinion, Elon must get himself in one piece again asap. And do not tell that he is going through huge pressure and responsibility, so did already mentioned Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, who never allowed themselves to behave like that.
ExoKuzo said…
>I don't know, who Tony Stark is, but if everybody compares them both, it only proves my words about that he is definitely not the only one of his kind, but infantilism

Tony Stark is a Fictional Character from Marvel universe, Elon is the closest we have currently to Tony Stark.

Also about your statement about Elon being the only one having time for social media, here is great video where u can see inside Teslas Factory and get some context on how much he knows and cares about it. So f u wanted to undermine his involvement by pointing out he has time for social media i would argue it.
ExoKuzo said…
You have mentioned Steve Jobs as someone who has had impact on me later on calling out on who actually owns a Tesla, well my counter argument would be that i neither own an apple product should that mean that Steve Jobs was not an icon and i should ignore his achievements ?
Unknown said…
I am glad that there are people like Elon Musk. Maybe there will be people who will undermine his actions. He has a positive influence on the reception of engineers, programmers, etc. People who deal with technical things are no longer perceived as a nerd from a basement without life, but as a man of success. I think it encourages young people to be interested in technical fields.
I think that the comparison to Stark is quite accurate. Of course, in the film, Stark is much more technologically advanced, however, Elon Musk is Stark in the real world.
I think that some tweets may have a negative impact on opinions about him. I also think that controversial statements make it even more popular.
Iman Masjedi said…
I think Elon Musk is smart guy , but not as much as it is defined in the media. show off his abilities with exaggerations.
In my opinion, Tony Stark is a real person in the legendary character.I would like to compare him with Carl Freer , the founder of game console Gizmondo . They have roughly the same characters.
Using social networks is one way of connecting directly with customers, an integral part of corporate communication with customers.
Instead of spending a lot of money on advertising, he can by posting a comment on Twitter, indirectly and free of charge give a permission to the rest of the media to transfer his writings to everyone.
Vladlen Kyselov said…
I think he is a great person, but he is just an owner of a big companies. I bet that the he is not the one who is founding out great ideas, he just sponsors them and as a sponsor he gets all the fame and fortune from "his" products. I agree that he did an does great job, but to my mind he changed.
I am really not a great fan of Marvel series so for me comparing anybody with characters from these series is like downgrading or comparing with something useless.
I think this is just the way of advertising. As I already mentioned, I guess that someone among his employees advised him to do it.
Kristina Moroz said…
He obviously made himself a history. He is a great entrepreneur - creating such a huge, well sold, famous and useful things and technologies. But where he gets this ideas I obviously don't know.
Well, what about restraining himself, I guess everyone should do this no matter what. Especially people on such positions. Everything they say may affect on them or their business.
After reading your post and some of the comments I’d like to point out that being a visionary and being childish is not mutually exclusive. He faced a lot of criticism and a lot of media scrutiny over the last years and I admire him for remaining his true self.

I don’t think he can be compared to Tony Stark and I don’t like any kind of serious comparisons of real people to unrealistic superheroes. No man is perfect, and neither is Elon Musk. He just tries his best to make his dreams and visions come true. Calling him a fraud is so cynical, I genuinely feel sorry for anyone around the people who write that.

As for the tweets — yes, I think thinking thrice instead of twice might help Elon to avoid needless controversies which cost him, his shareholders, his employees and his customers real money. Wall Street doesn’t like that kind any kind of non-conformist behaviour.
I think that Elon Musk is amazing person. First of all, he has some solid technical knowledge about what he is doing. He isn’t just skilful marketer who knows how to sell his products, he actually knows what is happening “inside” his devices. What is more I admire that he didn’t gave up upon his ideas, which was very hard. As I know, after he made a lot of money on PayPal, he started his electric cars company and solar panels company in us. Both of them weren’t very successful on the beginning, for example, many entrepreneurs from car industry was telling him that he should gave up his electric cars, because they won’t sell. Fortunately, I we can see know, everything went good and all thank to Elon, who didn’t abandon his dreams.
I think that Elon Musk is quite similar to Tony Start, he is rich, has technical knowledge thanks to his skills and brings to live ideas similar to science fiction.
I don’t think Elon Musk should restrain himself. He isn’t a politician who is representing a nation or something similar, he has private companies and I think he should be able to decide what he posts.

What do you think about Elon Musk?
I think he is a great person of our times. He has brilliant ideas and he is not afraid to put them into practice.

How do you feel after me comparing him to Tony Stark’s figure?
Well, he has not invented a flying suit yet, but I can understand that comparison.

Do you think Elon Musk should restrain himself from controversial social interactions(tweets)?
I think that's the way he rolls. He is uncouth, but for the good of the companies he founded - he should definitely restrain himself from such tweets.
I think that Elon Musk is a real hero/prophet of our times, because he uses his intellect and money not to become even richer without any need but to increase a quality of life for all the mankind and make a sci-fi fantasies a reality. I think it is unappropriate to compare him to Tony Stark as Elon Musk is a living and real person with his flaws and cons, and Tony is idealized "nerd-hero" for teenagers. I think that internet should reamoin free and no one should be afraid to express their thoughts in the web, are we in some kind of dark antiutopia that we cannot even say things?

I think this man is interesting, educated and his head is full of ideas. Therefore, it seemed to me strange that the media write that his ideas are unprofitable. But I do not understand some of his ideas, because they are too "unreal."
Ha ha ha, Tony Stark - cooler! But I think that there are grounds for comparison.
Yes, of course, he does not position himself as a scandalous person, so he should be able to filter information on his Twitter account. I am sure that such scandalous situations as with the Englishman (who called his project of the boat - PR as a move) should not be so emotionally displayed on his Twitter page. Such situations lower his reputation.

Personally, I don't really understand the hype about Elon Musk. Alright, he's trying to do some unusual things, but are they really that revolutionary? What's so exciting about putting a car on Earth's orbit apart from being complete waste of money and probably additionaly littering space (I don't know if the get it back to Earth). Also, are electric cars that revolutionary? I guess not. It's cool that he tries to popularize them and I respect that, but it isn't really something that I would be so hyped about. Additionally, all those plans about colonizing Mars. They are cool, but they are just plans. If he finally made something happen, then I could call him a hero or whatever.
I haven't watched Iron Man, so I think that I don't understand your comparison fully. In case of his tweets, I'm not much in them, but I don't find controversial the ones that you posted.
Personally I think that Elon Mask is a wonderful guy. I mean Why would you ever think bad about him ? He's one of not many who is concerned about our future. Moreover he's actually doing something in order to prevent global warming (by tesla). Also I quite amazed by SpaceX. He's the one who making space-traveling not a fiction.

In general, it's not the best idea to compare movies with the real life. Still answering the question I guess Elon Mask does have some similarities with Tony Stark. They are both similar age, both have a desire to change the world for a better place.

Elon's twitter activity has always been quite intensive. To be honest I'd never thought that it can be somehow that serious. But the recent news about his decision to make Tesla private caused extreme raise of stock price. So perhaps he really needs to think about
his twits and what consequences there can be.

Elon Musk is a typical achiever. I think that many people would like to be as thoughtful and hard-working as him. In my opinion comparing him to Tony Stark is too exaggerated. Maybe in the future we can call him "Tony Stark II", but not yet. When it comes to Twitter, I think that it's his business whether he want to be scandalous or not.
Unknown said…
I don't feel too strongly about Elon Musk one way or another. His company has certainly achieved impressive things, but it's not really possible to know how much he contributed to it. I certainly feel like comparing him to Tony Stark doesn't make much sense - comparing a real life person to a fictional superhero is a bit like comparing apples to oranges. Elon and Stark have some things in common, but so do apples and oranges. As for his controversial tweets, restraint is always advised when using social media. This applies to celebrities especially, as thousands of people read their tweets.

It seems that Elon Mask can be called a man-era. He became very popular, probably because the names of his companies somehow appear in the new trends in the field of modern technologies.
If we consider him as a genius, then it is safe to say that he is brilliantly conducting business processes in his organizations. He is one of the best investors, marketers and businessmen on the planet. There is no doubt about it.
But if we compare it with Tony Stark, then there is no need to be sure, because we cannot completely declare that he is the main author and developer of new products, about which we have been hearing lately. Surely, his share in technical developments is not so small, but one should not forget that most likely he has assembled an excellent team of brilliant minds.

Do you really think that there is no Elons influence behind the ideas ?

We have saw some of the consequences of his tweets when he had to step down from Teslas Board.
ExoKuzo said…
Should he think more about possible consequences though ? So his actions do not negatively impact his employees ?

Do you think that his Tweets about Tesla going private were indeed an attempt to manipulate their price ? or was that just his honesty ?

Did you know that Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark performance was partially inspired by Elon Musk ?

Beyond the surroundings, Downey really wanted a peek inside Musk’s psyche. The men walked, sat in Musk’s office, and had lunch. Downey appreciated that Musk was not a foul-smelling, fidgety, coder whack job. What Downey picked up on instead were Musk’s “accessible eccentricities” and the feeling that he was an unpretentious sort who could work alongside the people in the factory. Both Musk and Stark were the type of men, according to Downey, who “had seized an idea to live by and something to dedicate themselves to” and were not going to waste a moment.

Its a fragment from linkedIn's post you can read fully here.

What do you think about Elon Musk ?
He has bright personality with all that energy to push technology in all those fields.
How do you feel after me comparing him to Tony Stark’s figure ?
It's complitly different personalities. There is hardly anything in common.
Do you think Elon Musk should restrain himself from controversial social interactions(tweets)?
It might be good since he have power to effect the world and not to louse power to accusations of false info

Elon Musk is a very intelligent person. It is mainly distinguished not only by speaking, but also by doing things that affect the development of the world.

When it comes to comparing it to Tony Stark, it's hard for me to say something about it, because I do not like scifiction and I just searched for who on the internet, but I do not know this character.

In relation to his tweets, I think he should do it because only such things arouse interest.
I think its really strange persona. He is one of greatest businessmens in the world even though his companies have never made any profit. He is a visionare but also great sallesmen as he can make people think that soon he will succede and everyone want to be part of that. I think this comparison is really acurate as they are both as i said, visionaries that think in different way then most people do. Still Stark is just a si-fi charakter and Elon is real and everyday he is makeing one more step to change the world.

Elon Musk is a really smart guy. He knows how to do things right. His ideas are often crazy. He’s a person that wants to make things good, with passion and full involvement. There was even a situation when he was sleeping in the office because he wanted to keep things right. In case of controversial social interactions, it’s really easy to make a lot of noise around something. It’s very often used by stars but I think that in case of Elon Musk it’s not always of a good idea, because it may cause him real money.
Elon Musk is a visionary of our times, with brave ideas, a huge amount of money for their realisation . His character might be quite similar to Tony Stark's, but... a think that a lot of rich people could be compared to the Iron Man. From business point of view he should limit his social media activity, but from marketing perspective, it wouldn't be the Elon Musk we know anymore

Elon Musk is very smart person and he know how to attract attention. For example how earn money from stupid thing like Boring Company fire thrower. He sells all 20000 guns in one day I thing. In this time fire thrower meme was very popular on the internet, so he made it like a joke. Yes, I thing we can compere Elon Musk with Tony Stark if we just talking about technological part.
I think that Elon Musk is great person who live in our time. We need more such active and smart people and future will be come much more faster than now. I think the reason of thin phenomenon is that he has own active power to move people around him and this is cool. Also Elon has very interesting sense of humor that also important in such smart person. My dream is to met him personally and to talk few hours to understand how he thinks.

Another subject of Elon Musk that I will answer with pleasure. I admire this man for the openness of his mind, life ideas and approach to life. He is a Cossack. Sometimes he talks too much and doesn’t care about his words, but It’s his problem. I think everyone want to achieve as much in life as this man, not everyone has an opinion.
I totally agree with a greeting that Elon Musk is a real Tony Stark, who is very similar to Musk and he had his part in one of Iron Man's movies, but Tony Stark didn’t care about him at all. All you have to do is wait for Elon Musk to start producing the Iron Man suits on the world scale.
As I said before, it's very good that he has his own opinion and shows it in public. As you can see, not everyone like what he says and he must pay lots of money for it. If he doesn’t care about millions he has spent on punishment, it suits me completely that he has his own opinion.
Unknown said…
I really like him and admire his achievements in a technology business.

It seems to me that this is a good comparison and that Elon Musk is indeed the closest to what would look like Tony Stark in real life.

I don’t think that he should restrain himself from controversial social interactions because then he would act abnormal and he should stay true with himself both on his life and on social media.
I don’t think Elon Musk should restrain himself from anything, quite honestly. I believe that people know well enough he’s a very extraordinary personality and therefore should be more willing to embrace it. After all, most of his work has rather positive connotations and consequences, which just makes me assume that he means well. About comparing him to Tony Stark’s figure, I think, there is nothing wrong with a such comparison. It's kind a silly, but generally they have some "similarities".
Unknown said…
I have respect for this person and his ambitions. People need person like him.
But I am not praising him so much. He is a human being with big goals that is not for our understanding.

Well... yes and not. As an inventor and Marvel Film's persona yes. However, if we dig into comics version, that would be wrong.

Nowadays, everyone speaks about "freedom" of speech but same people judge words that they dislike. As a person with true equality in mind, I do not think that anyone must be restrain because of his point of view.
Many things can be said about Musk, but no one can deny his aptitude for making bold business ideas work. From PayPal to SpaceX to Tesla, all of his projects are daring, futuristic and come with a promise of money to be made. While I don’t quite adore him as a person (especially after recent events), I still have respect for the work he does, and share some of his ideals regarding the future of our civilisation. Main difference between him and Stark is that the latter achieved his status of multimillionaire through his own knowledge and inventions, where the former relies on the experts he can hire to do the thinking for him (though he does so admirably well). I think that in all his plans he unintentionally made a lot of enemies (like the whole petrol business), and a lot of controversies that we’re seeing around him are an effect of that. I wouldn’t say that he should restrain himself from using social media, but he needs to be a lot more careful with his words nowadays, as any wording that can be misinterpreted can lead to an Internet lynch mob directed his way.

It's hard to say what do i think about Elon Musk. I'm not interested this person because about him it's always noise in internet and I try to avoid unnecessary information. I can just say that PayPal is great. I'm using since I found out about PayPal.

Maybe we can compare Elon Musk to Tony Stark but Tony is not real person and we can't meet his characteristics. This is too shallow Elon make story in our world.

People shouldn't pay attention in social media. It's waste of time and everyone can write here everything and they fall in "frezny" when someone post fool things.
1. What do you think about Elon Musk?
Elon Musk is a person I think is not afraid to neither speak nor do what he wants. In the current era, where people tend to both, speak their minds and easily get offended (paradox?) he seems to be the one who can take a lot of criticism while still being confident in himself. I think that’s a role-model in the matter of not caring that much about what others think or say about you and believing in yourself.

2. How do you feel after me comparing him to Tony Stark’s figure?
I find it pretty funny but accurate to be honest, with the picture selected only strengthening my perception. As per Elon’s actions compared to Tony Stark, he seems to be very similar with the way he reacts to things (e.g. his puns).

3. Do you think Elon Musk should restrain himself from controversial social interactions (tweets)?
Absolutely not. I think that’s what makes him one of the kind entrepreneur. We need more public people who can cross the boundaries of the social norms while still keeping it in a good taste.

1. For me, Elon Musk is primarily an ordinary person. A man trying to change the world for the better. It’s no secret that he has already done a lot of useful things and I fully support his actions.

2. Yes, the comparison is very good. Of course, for me, he is not a superhero, but it may seem different to someone.

3. I do not think so, because he is trying to promote freedom of speech. Yes, some might think that a person representing such large companies should be restrained, strictly limiting their activity on social networks, but this is far from being the case.
ExoKuzo said…
But is promoting freedom of speech at the potential expense of his business's a right move?
ExoKuzo said…
"People shouldn't pay attention in social media."

Thats not in our nature though, we strive to see whats going on in outside world and as years prove social media is the best and most involving way to do so, not only we can learn, we can also interact directly with ppl involved and express our opinion.

Maybe we should instead take social media less seriously ?
ExoKuzo said…
"relies on the experts he can hire to do the thinking for him "

Wouldn't that be his strength then ? Surrounding himself with brilliant people ?
I mean that's consequence of not being a fictional character, we see that other ppl do work for us instead of movies and story lines skipping the daily look inside Stark Industries that would probably show brilliant people behind Tony.

To be honest, I have heard about Elon Musk and his companies but I have never spent too much time on research about him. In my opinion, he is very clever person. You can have a lot of money but it is not everything. You have to think about your future and it is the best word to describe him. He wants to do something new, something what can be unrealistic for other people. I like people like him because he always wants more and more. I don't want to stand still. Elon Musk can be my idol.
Comparing him to Tony Stark's figure? It can be exaggeration but who else? He stands out among the rest and in my opinion he can be the right choice. Of course, Tony Stark is superhero but Elon Musk has big impact on actual World too (even if he doesn't special kind of armor).
I think that Elon Musk should be himself. We have freedom of speech so why he couldn't use that? Nobody forcing you to agree with his words/tweets.

I am really impressed by his personality - self confidence backed by intelligence and vision. There are some similarities between Musk and Tony Stark e.g: parents, studying at good universities, technical knowledge and skills and turning their innovative ideas into reality. Of course he could be more restrained when it comes to expressing his minds in social media but let’s be honest it wouldn’t be the same Elon Musk then.
Elon Musk is a brilliant inventor and visioner. I think he's the one who're able to move our world one step forward with his innovative ideas.
Actually comaprison between Musk and Stark is pretty accurate, In Marvel movies Stark was a visioner like Elon Musk in real world, but I doubt that Musk has Iron man suit somewhere ( at least we would know about it :) )
Absolutely not, taking part in social interactions determines what kind of entrepreneur he is.

Elon Mask is a great person. Not only because he smoked weed on the Joe Rogan's podcast but also for his beneficial innovations. I really like that he's that type of founders, who try to earn money not just for buying expensive cars, big houses and islands, but for investing it to new projects. That is his lifeline - from project to project - from PayPal to Tesla, from Tesla to Falcon 9. He deserves a lot of respect and salutes.

I don't think that comparing Elon Mask with Tony Stark is a good idea. I don't think that comparing real person with character isn't a good idea at all. Tony Stark is a persona who played by Robert Downey Jr. - an actor that during 10 years was addicted to drugs and who's career was saved by his wife. For me you comparing two totally different people - founder and actor.

Week 11 [03-09.06.2019] The problem with ecological cars emission in UK

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form. These can be particles of sea salt, clouds from the Sahara and artificial compounds made by people. These compounds often come fr

Week 12 (12.01-18.01.15) Are you an early bird or a night owl ?

Owls are nocturnal creatures. They’re wide awake at night and they sleep during the day. If this sounds like bliss to you, then, like about 20 percent of the population who find themselves most active at around 9 pm, you may fall into the same category as our feathered friend. Night owls often have difficulty waking up in the morning, and like to be up late at night.  Studies of animal behaviour indicate that being a night owl may actually be built into some people’s genes. This would explain why those late-to-bed, late-to-rise people find it so difficult to change their behaviour. The trouble for night owls is that they just have to be at places such as work and school far too early. This is when the alarm clock becomes the night owl’s most important survival tool. Experts say that one way for a night owl to beat their dependence on their alarm clocks is to sleep with the curtains open. The Theory is that if they do so, the morning sunlight will awaken them gently and naturally.
