He influenced the development and history of advertising. During the World War II, he created the War Advertising Council whose objective was to support government programs. (1) Young received many honors and awards including the Advertising Man of the Year Award in 1946. (2).             I would like to present to you his very interesting   5-Step Technique for Producing Ideas   from his book “A Technique for Producing Ideas” published in 1939. I find this program fascinating and easy at the same time. I hope it will be helpful for your further work :).   But before we start, we have to define what an idea is. Young believes, and I truly agree with him, that an idea is “ nothing more nor less than a new com...

" Friendship ... is not something you learn at school . But if you haven't learned the meaning of friendship , you really haven't learned anything ." - Muhammad Ali     When I am writing this presentation, it is   2 nd   of May and it is my friend’s birthday. Her name is Klaudyna and she was my inspiration to choose this topic.   [ https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/6a/1c/b5/6a1cb57a13fdd5e08a497db249124741.jpg ] Everyone knows that friendship is an essential ingredient to lead a happy and successful life. Real friendship is a blessing. Friends are those people who do not have to be in our life, like a family, but they choose us to spend their time with. They make us feel special. You can say that lovers do the same thing, but do they? In my opinion a sensual relationship is less important than friendship. We live in times when divorces happen so fast and so often. We change our partners like a pair of glo...

Recently new films concerning artificial intelligence dominating human’s life have started to appear. In contrast to the movies from the 70s and 80s, they do not present a threat to the mankind any longer, as it was for example in 2001: A Space Odyssey or in Terminator, which was also perfectly designed killing machine. The subject returns in a less aggressive form, but it’s still focused on human possibilities and aspirations for creating our artificial copies. A good example is Transcendence movie, in which the human’s mind is copied to the memory of an advanced computer, or Her which is a disturbing vision of a human-like emotional bond between a man and personal operating system. Especially interesting becomes a robotic thread. In Chappie we can again observe a robot equipped with consciousness, instead of being aggressive he manifests itself by acts of creation. Similarly in Interstellar, the conscious and intelligent robots become friendly and equal members of the crew of the...

What is paintball ? Perhaps most of you know it from company outings. But did you know that it is a very rapidly growing sport all around the world ? Let me introduce it to you a bit.            The first paintball equipment appeared in the 50s in the US. Originally it was used to mark livestock by cowboys and by foresters to mark trees. The current form of paintball comes from the 80s. Three friends Bob Gurnsey, Hayes Noel and Charles Gaines came up with idea of organizing a game using markers. Thanks to the media other people heard about this game and ,like these three friends, started to paint each other. Since this moment the world of paintball has begun to grow around the world. The basic equipment for the game is pneumatic paintball gun – a marker, a protective mask and balls with paint based on edible gelatin.         ...

As you know we are struggling with emigration. According to the statistics prepared by the Central Statistical Office there were 2,19 million Poles living abroad at the end of 2013. Most of emigrants decided to stay at the Continent and moved to western countries. Only 300 thousand of them left Europe. The most popular countries were the United Kingdom and Germany which were populated by more than a half of all Polish emigrants. When it comes to non-European countries most of us chose United States as a new home. Number of Polish emigrants 72% of respondents said that they had decided to leave Poland because of weak job prospects. The second reason was family affairs(15%). When we take a look at the most depopulated regions in Poland due to emigration we can see that Opolskie lost 10% of its population. According to a report prepared by Work Service we are expecting to have a big wave of immigration this year. If the report says the truth we will have 1,2...
