Increasingly, people are asking themselves: Is life in a simulation possible? Therefore, there are more and more ways and solutions to determine how it is possible, and whether there is a chance for it ... Currently, a man can distinguish reality from a computer game in a very simple way, but who knows how quickly it can change. We already have access to games and the VR world, which simulates reality quite well. Watch the video below and find out if there is a possibility that we live in a simulation and what assumptions will prove it.
Do you sometimes have this strange feeling known to us as déjà vu and do you think it may have a connection to a simulated life? If you had déjà vu, describe your feelings.
Have you ever used VR or have Google VR at home? What do you think about virtual reality or maybe make us realize that we can live in a simulated world?
Do you think that there is a chance to meet the assumptions discussed in the film?

I have never used any VR but I do not see it as anything more than just an entertainment. Even if we lived in a simulation, I do not think that people would discover it by making VR. I mean, it shows us that something like this is possible, that it is possible to feel like living in a different world, but for me connecting VR with a theory of simulation is just too much. Even though I am not a religious person, there is something about me that makes me believe more in such theories like past life than a simulation. It just feels like more possible for me. Maybe because I see simulation as something new, something connected to technology like VR, and when it comes to the past life, there are so many beliefs about it, books, hypnosis, some strange situations where a baby told you a whole story about their past life that they shouldn’t even be able to say… But it is all just a feeling, when it comes to the opinion, I do not have any specific one. I like talking about it and getting to know more theories and ideas, but I do not have any belief which I would truly believe and convince others to believe it.
I also watched two movies, one of them is on netflix, the other one I don’t know. The one from Netflix is called “The discovery” and is about a scientist who discovered a machine which shows what is happening with a soul after death. I wouldn’t call it the most entertaining movie ever, however it makes you think, ask questions and consider our reality. The other one is the more famous “Truman show”. I know that some people call it fascinating and everything, but for me it was just entertaining but didn’t really make me question the reality. It just shows that I am more into past life and death theories than simulation.
I love too conspiracy theories! I haven't heard about such a déjà vu theory, thanks for the information!
Right, VR isn't enough to feel something like that, we can live in a simulation. I wanted to show an example that is closest to this to show that we can create simulations. Imagine how this could develop. Instead of goggles VR, we can connect the brain to a computer and I think then it will be hard to tell whether we are in a computer game or in the real world.
I like such films very much, it's strange that I haven't heard of this film. Thanks for the recommendation “The discovery”! The movie "Truman show" was good, but I don't count it among my favorite movies
1. Déjà vu is already a sufficiently well-researched biological mechanism. I am not an expert, but now scientists recognize this phenomenon as a delay in the processing of some information from the optic nerves and a lack of synchronization between the conscious and subconscious analysis of acquired by brain patterns. The Déjà vu motif was presented in the movie Matrix and that is why it is such a popular element of this hypothesis.
2. Digging into successive simulated worlds is the opposite of the process that will lead us to the answer of this hypothesis. We should look for errors and simplifications on the macro scale of the entire universe to understand the technology of superior reality.
3. Yes, and we actualy can mathematicly prove that.
Very nice interests. People very often define unknown phenomena through their experiences and acquired knowledge, not going beyond what they already know, thinking "out of the box" definitely helps with such issues
2. No, I've never used VR, but I'd love to try it. But back to the point, it seems to me that we live in a normal world. I enjoy having arguments based on facts rather than guesswork. So far, there is no proof of life in the simulation, so I don't think there is one.
3. I think it is impossible.
I used VR once or twice, but it wasn’t very pleasant because I have the worst car sickness and I felt really bad while using it. I think that it would be really messed up if I was in a simulation using VR and someone simulated that I in simulation can’t use VR because of car sickness.
The assumptions are interesting and of course, all of them are somehow possible. But I’m most skeptical about the third one that advanced civilizations don’t destroy themselves. I think that it’s impossible, just like our planet is getting destroyed and getting to the end. Of course, maybe it is only simulated and the planet we really are on is fine.
I had the same feeling using google VR even though I am not seasick. When you put on your glasses and play too long, our brains are tricked. The brain registers movement and the body is not moving, which makes you feel unwell.
Yes, this happened to me a few times.
Have you ever used VR or have Google VR at home? What do you think about virtual reality or maybe make us realize that we can live in a simulated world?
Yes, I bought VR glasses. I used them maybe 2 times to watch videos on youtube. I think it's a cool experience. I highly recommend playing games using VR on PlayStation for example or watching movies.
Do you think that there is a chance to meet the assumptions discussed in the film?
It's hard to say
Yes, I have experienced deja vu multiple times. It's always a such bizarre feeling, which I can't really describe.

I have used VR glasses, but not at home. In my opinion it's not great, I would say that this isn't for me. I simply don't enjoy it.
Do you think that there is a chance to meet the assumptions discussed in the film?
It's hard to say, but maybe at some point of human future it will be. There is very funny episode of Rick and Morty show in which this simulation theory appears. I guess that if it happens it won't be anytime soon.
2. I have tried vr in one of the mall shops. I was interested in the whole process and how it works. Unfortunatelly, I felt sick after trying this. I don’t know why but it made me that way. I think that the development of virtual reality is something that will eventually change out world.
3. It’s hard to say, but in my opinion there is little chance to meet these assumptions.

I think that I have it pretty often. It always reminds me about Matrix movies. It might be some freeze or bug in the simulation system, that would be interesting for sure! When I was a kid and I had his feeling for the first time, I thought that it's some kind of magic and maybe I am the chosen one haha. I was watching a lot of magical girls shows, so I'm not surprised I got that idea.
2. Have you ever used VR or have Google VR at home? What do you think about virtual reality or maybe make us realize that we can live in a simulated world?
Yes, I actually work with it! It's a really cool device, but a lot of people has problems with moving in VR, because they get nauseous. So it would be really difficult to live in a simulation like this.
3. Do you think that there is a chance to meet the assumptions discussed in the film?
I don't really know, but it seem difficult.
