You know that feeling when you should quit but you turn on the next
episode, and another, and another... I think that each of us has the series
from which we couldn’t get away and we waited impatiently for next episodes. I want to talk about TV Series
because Netflix has recently premiered in Poland. Netflix is an American
multinational provider of on-demand Internet streaming media. Within a few
years the number of Netflix customers is expected to reach 100 million. It shows
how many people watch TV series, now even more on the Internet than on Television.
If we're talking about Netflix and
popular series , we can’t forget about the House of Cards.

Suits
"Suits" is a series
that presents the adventures of lawyers from a prestigious law firm Pearson

The exception is Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), he’s a genius with a
photographic memory. He was hired by Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht), the best
lawyer in Pearson Hardman. Harvey appreciated Mike’s extraordinary skills. Ross
falsified information about his education and hid the truth from the rest of
the staff.

I really liked GoT at first, but I don't like the changes they've made in the plot comparing to the books, and the fact that every season gets less and less action and more and more talking. I'm going to watch next seasons, but I have no idea how they'll develop some motifs (some characters are in completely different places than they should be according to the books... some are even dead even though they shouldn't be yet ;))
As to Sherlock, what do you think of the latest episode (if you've seen it?). I liked it, but I've heard people have mixed feelings about it.
Talking about Netflix, I only regret copyrights to some of the TV series are owned by different companies, therefore I won't be able to watch them - Friends, for example.
Apart from the series I've mentioned, I've also watched Two and a Half Men, The Guild, The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Anger Management, The IT Crowd, Chuck, Heroes, Orphan Black, The 4400, and countless animated ones, like Death Note or Futurama; some of them were better, some of them worse, but I guess my comments would have to take 10 pages to cover all of them :D
I see no zombie franchise here, but I've also tried to watch the walking dead.
But I never honestly spend whole day watching tv series.
I have seen a pilot suits' episode, but I like to watch series in english (not to feel pangs of conscience) and to be honest it was quite hard to understand , because there were a lot of specialised law vocabulary etc. Maybe I gave up too early, many people recommends it so often :D
And according to Netflix - I haven't found in an offer anything that would convince me to use it. I was always thinking that it's such an amazing application, where you can find everything – let's say a Spotify for movies and series, but in fact it is definitely not :(
Apart from that I follow Vikings, albeit with breaks. I totally recommend watching the series though. :) It's very atmospheric. Not so long ago I also watched The Last Man on Earth, Parks and Recreation, Sleepy Hollow and The Strain aaaand I think that's all? Can't recall watching anything else worth mentioning.
Nowadays there are a lot of great productions with amazing plot, cast and budget of course but it does not change the fact you still got to track each and every epizode or at least most of them to not
lose the thread. Good thriller movies is definitely my thing, movies not series : )

Back to the topic :) I believe that because of this article i would have less time for learning as I need to check two new series. As a conclusion, if you don't want to get addicted- do not even start watching tv series.
If only there was more time for such pleasures...
one episode i couldn't stop watching. I spent whole weekend striving to make up for all the previous seasons. In my opinion this TV series was perfomed better
than the most of high-budget hollywood movies. I'm a bit afraid to start any other TV series (I heard that Breaking Bad is really good!) because
after one episode I would have to take a holiday in job and watch the whole series!
Everyone will find something for himself becouse there are so many different kinds of topics
I think that they made a tv series about every possible story.
The best made series I have seen would be "Breaking Bad". It's not light watch, but it has it's funny moments. I would recommend it to anyone because it's really really good.
My favourite serial is "House of Cards" and I just can't wait for the new season. Maybe it's not as phenomenal as "Breaking Bad" but I still had a lot of fun with it, and I love the characters, especially Clair Underwood (and everything she's wearing). If I were to recommend something light and funny my choice would be "Sherlock". It's executed in an interesting way and it's leading Freeman-Cumberbatch duo is its best part.
In my opinion the worst made (but apparently most popular) series I watch is Game of Thrones. It's definitely engaging, but from what I heard it really differs from the source material and has a lot of unnecessary scenes just to attract more viewers. If you're new to the whole "Game of Thrones" thing, I'd recommend reading the book first.
