As girl in the move said "people you meet are more interesting than places you get" and in my opinion it could be true. I have never tried hitchhiking, because I consider it to risky. The great alternative is to travel by own bike or by local buses/trains. In hitchhiking you are in some kind "attached" to main roads and helpfull locals. If you take a bike you can travel as you like and when you like, but ofcourse you will not meet so many people and it will cost much more.
Everyone travels as they like and depends on that they get different experiences :)

Personally I never hitchhiked and I don't think I ever will. I am not really the type of "go were my legs will take me" person and when going on any vacation I like to be organized and as independent as can be. That said, I think it's quite clear that I am the total opposite of a hitchhiker.
But don't take me wrong, It's not like I am against it. By all means, if people like travelling that way or it's the only way they can afford to travel due to various limitations, that they should do it. Personally I would never like to travel this way. I much rather travel with a group of dear friends or even by myself, than with a total stranger. Not that I don't like meeting new people, I don't like being dependant from strangers.

Hitchhiking can be a wonderful experience but it’s not the way of spending your vacation that I will chose. I realize that it can be a wonderful way of exploring new places not typically visited by the tourists, meeting interesting people and having a lot of chances to taste rally local cosine not those meals for all the tourists. But I really enjoy sleeping in nice cozy hotel room where I can wake u in the morning and eat warm breakfast not worrying abut nothing more that what’s the weather would be like.
I know that you will call me the kid of our consumer way of life, but I’m thinking this way. When you are young and have 2 months of holiday hitchhiking could be a thing for you, but when you have family and kid (of kids) I just can’t imagine going on a family vacations in this way. Those precious 2 weeks in summer time is a time for me to recharge my batteries for the rest of the year and I want to spend them as jauntily as I possibly can.

I do see hitchhikers quite often on roads outside of towns. I personally wouldn't do it but not because I of the risk involved. My neighbor was attacked a few weeks ago by a small group just outside of our building. Does that mean he should stay at home forever? I don't think other places are better or worse. I'd like to stay somewhere for longer though.

Hitchhiking sounds fun and I'd like to give it a try... someday. Right now the only hitchiking I practice is ocassional episode of mr Cejrowski travels.
If I were to go on a hichhiking journey I would like to go to Vladivostok. I would like to travel through Russia and see what is hidden in this huge part of continent

I've also never tried hitchhiking as most of as here. Despite all mentioned threats to me it sounds like great adventure. I agree with Tomek that only because something bad may happen, it doesn't mean that we should aviod it. In fact we can always have an accident not leaving our house at all. However I do not think I will ever spend my holiday in such way. Let's say I prefer more confortable conditions.

Hitchhiking, well it is really a tough topic. It can be awesome opportunity to see the world (at least the world nearest to You;) ), but also it can be very dangerous. There are people living the life of free roamers, and on one side, their life is exciting. You can say that they have seen so much more that regular people, experienced so much more, but on the other hand they tend not to be very stable in their life. It's not for everyone. To me? Waste of time.

I will never ever pick a hitchhiker from the side of the road. I'm way to scarred to do so. My own life and health is to precious to me.

Hitchhiking, well... It sound's awesome! But not for me... Ofcourse visiting places that no other tourist ever seen sounds great but im not that kind of a person. Or maybe i'm just too old for that :) And i am quite sure that there are stories that didn't end that well. Because of Euro 2012 i have friends all over the world and i know a bit of foreign countries. But sill hitchhiking sounds cool

Week 3 [16.03-22.03.2020] Flipping cat physics

Flipping Cat Physics Cats are one of  most common human’s companion. We can see them all the time walking around their own trails and climbing on everything just to be in a center of attention. Although sometimes I can see them trip on something they always fall on their four legs. How is that possible? In the video shown below we can see a youtube video created by Destin Standlin showing how cats rotate when falling. It’s fascinating how they can control their body to rotate.
