Week 8 [11.05 - 17.05] The Romans flooded the Colosseum for sea battles

Starting in 80 CE, residents of Rome and visitors from across the Roman Empire would fill the stands of the Colosseum to see gladiators duel, animals fight and chariots race around the arena. And for the grand finale, water poured into the arena basin, submerging the stage for the greatest spectacle of all: staged naval battles. Janelle Peters details the history of these mock maritime encounters. 1.    Have you ever heard that the Romans flooded the Colosseum for sea battles?  do you think this is an exaggeration? 2.     If colosseum were active and legal again would you go to watch? 3.     If you were forced to fight as a gladiator in Colosseum, what type of duels would you choose?

Today I want to introduce to you James Veitch. He is an English comedian who is best known for his video series “Scamalot’, in which he answers spam emails that come to him, making their authors spam and joke victims themselves. I really enjoy watching these videos, but today I want to show you another video with his participation - a humorous performance where he talks about himself as a roommate. I hope the humor of this video will cheer someone up and distract from serious topics of other presentations and life in general. James Veitch Is A Terrible Roommate Have you ever had a terrible roommate or neighbour? Maybe your own brother or sister? If yes, what was it like? What was the most annoying thing? Have you ever been a victim or an organiser of a prank?  What would you do if you were one of James' roommates?

Week 8 [11.05 - 17.05] Seven Wonders of the Ancient World

Many magnificent buildings of the past are called wonders of the ancient world, thereby referring them to the famous seven. Antipater of Sidon - the main suspect in the compiling of the list Great Pyramid of Giza         The most ancient, but the only surviving wonder of the world. The pyramid is the achi...

Week 8 [11.05 - 17.05] Network Marketing

Network marketing Nowadays there are millionaires who earned their money through the Network Marketing System. It is authorized and legal (for four years Amway fought in the courts to prove that MLM was a legitimate business finally winning the case in 1979. This paved the way for many more MLM companies to enter the industry.). Their marketing system is considered to be very similar to the "financial pyramids". Network marketing is based on product information passed from person to person. A consumer buys goods from a major manufacturer and there are no large intermediaries who conduct bulk purchases, and then sell goods. In addition, in this way, the manufacturer saves on advertising, renting premises for a store or creating an online store.                                                                 https:...
