Week 4 [16.11-22.11] Future of gaming platforms.

Current year is full of positive and negative surprises. Global pandemic,  economic crisis and increasing global warming. There are significantly fewer positive ones. Gaming industry has a few of them, but a huge ones. This year will take place the introduction of next-gen consoles and graphic cards.

PC vs Console Gaming

Many have thought that eternal, even holy war between the pc gamers and the console ones would be even more balanced.  The premiere of the next-gen consoles have promised hardware competitive to average price PC. This state would take place if Nvidia hasn’t introduced  the new 3000 series graphic card. Model 3080 is not really prevalent yet and has already been hailed as game changer. Benchmark shows that 3080 is more powerful by 38%, than so far the strongest card in word – 2080-Ti. This score is not biggest surprise in this introduction. New series cost about 700$ with price of previous gen on the level of 1300$. Together, this would create a lot of wet dreams for all PC gamers. Reassuming, performance advantage  of PC seems to be not compromised. Even the gap between the consoles would dramatically grow up. The next-gen console will be competitive with PC but only from previous generation.

Ok, but there are many other aspects which are taken under consideration during platform choosing. Indisputable domination of PC in performance is the main pros. Console gaming has much more of it. Lower price– new generation prices would start from 300$ and be up to 700$ for PS5. No need to hardware upgrade – current generation accompanied us for 8 years! In Gaming it is eternity. Of course on the way lifting took place. But basically the consoles don't need that much attention to play the latest AAA games. Assuming this pros, there is a big advantage of possibility to buy the games and have certainty that it will play on our equipment for a long time. There occurred some exception in PS4 where moments before lifting there ware troubles to maintain stable 30 FPS, but it is the marginal issue. The big cons of consoles are their specialized capabilities, where PC offers many possible way of uses.

PS vs XBOX

Beside war between PC and consoles there is also big conflicts in consoles stronghold. Nowadays, there are two main leaders of the market – Sony and Microsoft. There is also Nintendo with their Wii console but lack of games for this platform put it in minority of usage, what producers promised to change. Generalizing most of players are Japan fans of cartoons. Back to the dispute between leaders. In price category Xbox always wins, often with a great advantage. On the other hand PS has better hardware and nice design. It is worth mention that for many years PS have big advantage of more pleasant politics. Free online gaming, introduction of new trends, many exclusive titles, games which have earlier release date often about months.

Nowadays Xbox is increasingly competitive in these categories. They introduced backwards compatible and multi-platform gaming offering capability to buy one game for console or PC and play on both of them. But in opposite to PC gamers, console ones are often casuals. They don’t want to bother about this hardware type of stuff or are even software too. So what decide which console they choose? In my experience many of them make decisions based on a way of controller looking or interface. Sometimes they have some favorite exclusive series which make them support one of the consoles. Many cases shows that they can’t specific why they choose other console, but I think that common opinion and word of mouth marketing taking big part here. After all, PS has reputation of the cooler one but is anyone that could argue this opinion? Except for the left analog location, of course.

1. Which type of entertainment you choose, and why? Gaming? Or maybe you prefer classic games like a chess?
Why not all of it! I have ps4 to play exclusive games, for one laptop instead of PC to play some games also, not only old ones, witcher 3 for example runs even on high and also I like to play board games which are starting to piles up in my room. I've also bought VR this year but there are not many games for it now.

2. Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.
It is impossible to choose. I like to play many types of games. X-COM like or S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and other shooters have better experience on PC. However games like last Spider-Man or Mortal Kombat and other fighting games works better on console. If I have to choose between lacking one I would rather not choose at all.

3. Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?
Yes, by playing games you can practice your reflex between eye and arm. Strategic and logic games can train your brain more. Also you can learn various things from games especially historic ones. There were also studies which shows that by playing new types of games your brain needs to focus on learning how to do it and this type of activity have positive aspect when fighting with Alzheimer.

1 and 2. Ever since I was a little kid, I have always liked computer games. A game that I associate very well with my childhood is Gothic II. Currently I am a big fan of Playstation, I own Playstation 4 myself and soon I hope to become the owner of Playstation 5. I really appreciate the exclusive titles of this console. The performance of the Playstation 4 is fully sufficient for me. Playing on the console has its own atmosphere, something that is not on the computer and I cannot describe it. I wish I had a cool gaming PC one day, but it costs a lot of money. The computer I would like to have is about PLN 12,000. I hope that in the future I will be able to combine my adult life with my ever-lasting hobby. I've never been a big fan of board games, except card games. The card games are very enterteining.

3. Definitely yes. In addition to reflexes and a better hand-eye connection, it greatly improves decision-making skills when time is limited. For example, surgeons who play games have:
- better trained hand-eye connection
- cope better with unplanned problematic situations.

Unfortunately, the games have a downside. They can be very absorbing, so some people lose touch with reality. It also happens that the games cause aggression among players. There are tons of videos on the Internet where streamers get frustrated with the game and destroy the keyboard, monitor or other part of their equipment.
1. Which type of entertainment you choose, and why? Gaming? Or maybe you prefer classic games like a chess?

When I have time for entertainment, usually I choose drawing or watching cartoons. I really like playing video games, but I don't have much time for it, and I need at least an hour in-game, to completely enjoy it.

2. Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.

I would choose PC, but mostly because there are much more games for it, and it isn't a gaming-only device. I'm really into indie games, that aren't usually available on gaming consoles, so right away they are out of the question for me.

3. Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?

For sure. For example learning languages, strategic thinking, or noticing some small elements. Each genre of games can teach you something else.
Apart from US Elections, I think that the PS5 and new Xbox fight is the second hottest topic recently!
When I have time, I prefer to meet my friends and play some cardboard games or occasionally play games on PS4 like "Knowledge Is Power", it's extension called "Knowledge Is Power: Decades", or "That's You!". Those are super fun, casual games to play with friends.
Personally, I prefer gaming on the PC, although I haven't played in a while. In my opinion, those are two different ways to play games. Playing on a console means to me more like casual gaming, on the couch, with ordered pizza, some chips, and a large TV screen before you. It's fun! Then, on the other hand, there's PC gaming, where you can, even more, immerse yourself in the game, with headphones on, and a curved screen to focus your whole attention on.
I believe that playing computer games, of course to some extent, is beneficial. Players can develop better perceptive abilities, learn languages, and of course experience new terrific stories told in games.

1. I usually prefer to spend my free time with my friends(like grabbing coffee, going for a walk, or watching a movie) or doing something active.

2. I'm not that much into gaming, to be honest, so I would probably choose the one that has the most games available as I would prefer to have a wider variety to choose from.

3. I think it might be to some extent. Gamers might learn new languages, get better at noticing smaller things, maybe make new friends if that's an online game.

I don't like playing computer games because I get easily addicted to them. Therefore, I prefer a good book or meeting with my friends. I also consider those activities as much more beneficial for my mind and body.

Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.
I think consoles are better. When you have one computer for gaming and working it is hard to really focus on the tasks you have in front of you.
Consoles are cheaper but you have to pay for multiplayer games.

Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?
Maybe, but the question which should be asked is not if it creates any value but what another thing you could be doing instead of playing games, that might be even more beneficial. If benefits are somebody's main goal, they wouldn't look for them in computer games.

1.Which type of entertainment you choose, and why? Gaming? Or maybe you prefer classic games like chess?
I used to prefer entertainments such as watching series, drawing or reading. But thanks to the quarantine and my boyfriend I have also started playing video games on PlayStation. The first one was The Journey, and now I am playing Horizon Zero Dawn.
I like playing board games with friends too. It can be Munchkin, Game of Thrones, Dixit or Uno. But it is not so easy to gather your friends at the same time, so here the video games win. 😅

2.Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.
Honestly, I am not a gamer. The few 'big' games I have played were on a console. And I liked the game process in general. It is more comfortable for me to use a joystick. But I know there are o lot of cool games which are more popular on PC.

3.Do you think that computer gaming industry develops useful skills and bring benefits for people?
I think yes, first of all, it is a great way to practice the English language. Secondly, while playing a really good game, you can train your brain thinking on strategies. Thirdly, some games like Kingdom Come: Deliverance or Assassin’s Creed can present facts from history, famous figures.
1. I try to ensure that the entertainment I choose is related to spending time not looking at the computer or TV screen. While working 8 hours a day at the computer and studying from home, I spend too much time at the monitor, so I slowly start to feel discomfort with spending my free time at the computer and choose board games to relax.

2. If I had to choose, I would definitely choose the console for one simple reason. Each game I buy for a given series of consoles will work on it - I don't have to worry about the requirements like its currently done in PCs.

3. Of course you can. We can learn a lot of new things by playing games. There are various simulators, educational games and, for example, car racing, where we can practice eye-hand coordination.

1. I like both board and electronic games. I support all kinds of positive competition in games and take part in them willingly. I especially like games that are not based on luck but on skills, where we can practice our level of advancement and become better and better.
2. I used to play exclusively on PC but for over 2 years I have been choosing ps4 as my default gaming platform. I started playing on ps4 because it was much cheaper to buy a gaming console than to invest in expensive computers that will lose a lot of money in a short time and won't support the latest games.
3. The games are very developing. Playing games can support our memory, develop orientation skills and even improve analytical thinking and reaction time. Games should be included in the learning process as they are a powerful tool which, if we allocate some funds to the development of educational games and applications, could result in a higher level of knowledge and better abilities among young people.

@Anastasiia Bida The Journey is fantastic game. Modest plot leaving much for interpretation. I remember this game well. Horizon Zero Down had a cool mechanical animal concept. I prefer games with interesting stories, I recommend Until Dawn.

@Paweł Bluszcz In fact you are right. In past few months I observed that I didn't want play as much as before. I even start to realize that I do everything what I can to not use computer if it is not mandatory. In March I was fan of online shopping, now If i can i prefer to take that trip.

Out of all types of games, I'm die hard board games fan. Of course I casually play pc games (sometimes alone, sometimes with friends), but I never could get into that zone to play couple of hours straight. I've also never been console enthusiast either. I had xbox360 and just as on pc, I've played casually. I love board games because i always play with (or in most cases, against) my friends, and have hell of a good time too. Depending on game, board games requires skill, strategy, somewhat of lying and often, luck. It's both fun and challenge to play.
Eternal struggle between pc and consoles as an ultimate gaming platform isn't really clear to me. Of course PC can achieve much better patameters, but at much higher cost. On the other hand, consoles can pretty much only be used to gaming, while pc's are universal. And last bit of this bone of contention, one can buy console once every couple of years and still be able to play modern games, while PC needs much more systematic upgrades. If I had to choose, I'd choose pc, because of it universal aspect.
I strongly believie that gaming (if kept inside bounds) is plenty benefitial to the people. It not only enhances your hand-eye coordination but also allows to connect with people all around the world, which is especially valuable during ongoing pandemic.

Actually, I am gaming from time to time, enjoying trusted masterpieces and sometimes trying out something new.
But currently, my prime sources of entertainment are taking walks and admiring nature in my neighbourhood.
For me, gone are the days of board games. Still remember playing chess with my colleagues after classes, in primary school.

When it comes to gaming, I stick to PC.
It is because, once you acquire solid computer, you can utilize it for many tasks, not only gaming.
Apart from that, I don't mind missing on "exlusives" for other platforms.

Well, for me it is quite obvious that gaming will ultimately benefit humanity.
Ask yourself, why military industry is now investing in simulation software?
Games allow us to experience and learn many conditions and environments, in safe and controlled manner.

1.
I am quite undecided when it comes to picking a side between what the world of traditional and video games has got to offer. I tend to appreciate the wit a chess player has to posses to be able to play well. Also board games played with friends and relatives tend to bond people and are a great addition to a party. On the other hand I think that video games are becoming a great entertainment alternative. With big budgets video games are more and more complex and offer various worlds the player can immerse themselves.

2.
I am making this decision now, because my current PC won't be able to handle Cyberpunk which is coming out shortly, so I think I'll invest in a console, because it will be cheaper then PC, and I much more like to work on a mac computer, which isn't the best for gaming, so I would like to keep both of those worlds seperated.

3.
As in gamedev? It is a trendy part of IT, there's no doubt about that. When it comes to the gamers, I think that some of the games are great at fostering creativity and thinking out of the box like the Portal series developed by Valve.
Which type of entertainment you choose, and why? Gaming? Or maybe you prefer classic games like a chess?

Of course, like every representative of the new generation, I like to play computer games. I mostly play on the console - PS4. I think consoles are the perfect solution for gamers - you buy consoles, put a CD in, don't worry about any game requirements. Playing computer games is a bit like watching movies - killing time in the evening. Honestly, I prefer to play sports rather than playing computer games. My favorite game is football.

Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.

As I mentioned above, I definitely value consoles more. The point is that when you buy a console for at least 5 years, you don't have to spend money on new components. The development of computers is so great that more and more powerful components appear every 2 months. This makes the continual development of your own computer expensive. I really think it's better to buy a console - dedicated gaming equipment.

Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?

Yes, just like cinematography develops our imagination, it tells some truths about life. I am currently playing the game "Ghost of Tshushima" is an epic tale of the Mongol invasion of Japan in the 13th century. Of course, this is only a story based on historical events, but you can learn a lot about the samurai culture and how important the code of honor was for them. What's more, the stories that American soldiers learn tactics by playing video games are probably legendary. In addition, by playing games, you develop your reflexes, language skills, learn facts and curiosities that you had no idea about - Uncharted series - searching for legendary hidden cities - Atlantis, Libertalia, Shangri-La, El Dorado or Irem. Really games can develop us humans.
I certainly prefer gaming, but I like some occasional board game or some other activity, of course. I really liked playing table tennis in my childhood, but well, it’s not that easy to put a table in your room as it is easy to put a PC under the desk. Besides, I’m not a party person and I’m mostly an introvert, so I enjoy putting on my sweats and a gaming pad and go on an adventure from my chair.

I’m a PC gamer and honestly, right now consoles don’t have any pros to me. They’re still quite expensive for something you can only play games on and maybe watch something on. Games dedicated for PS or Switch are ridiculously expensive and it’s rather hard to get them on some sales, while PC games are very easy to get cheaper. Let me put it this way – if I had more money, my own flat and a TV (because I don’t even have a TV right now), I’d definitely buy a console, preferably an Xbox or Nintendo Switch. But right now, I’ll stick to a PC and a laptop.

Well it’s been already proven by many scientists. Game industry can be used as a powerful tool for rehabilitation or education. I believe it was mentioned in one of the posts from last week, that included a TedTalk with Daphne Bavelier. I personally played some educational games when I was a kid, to improve learning English. :) So I think it absolutely can have positive impact on other aspects of our lives.
• Which type of entertainment you choose, and why? Gaming? Or maybe you prefer classic games like a chess?
I prefer physical activities, rather than mental ones. There is a study that says physical activities boost production of endorphins, so maybe that is the reason. I also like gaming, but there are not many interesting video games that are being in develop state or recently publish as of now. Maybe when Cyberpunk 2077 will finally come out I would find some enjoyment in playing video games, but then again I do not have much time anyway due to engineering diploma, that I need to write as fast as possible to not be late for the thesis defence.
• Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.
I prefer PC, since I already have personal one to work and study. I do not need to buy another device to take limited amount of space I already have.
• Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?
I do not think gaming industry develop any useful skills. Any technological breakthrough is used later in game development, not the other way around.

Which type of entertainment you choose, and why? Gaming? Or maybe you prefer classic games like a chess?

I think that it depends on the day and some other factors, for example, whether I am going to play alone or I am going to play with my friends or family. I have a lot of friends who like playing FIFA on a console, but they are keen on playing Monopoly, Uno, or another board game too. So I like to play on my pc and console, but I wouldn't refuse the invitation for a board game. For me every kind of game that is entertaining and engaging is good.

Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.

I feel conflicted when it comes to making a decision between PC and PlayStation because I like playing both. I think playing FIFA on a console is better and more convenient than playing on a PC, but on the other side, I can't imagine myself playing Football Manager on PlayStation. To sum up I think that it depends on what kind of a game I will want to play.

Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?

Yes, I think that on some surfaces the gaming industry is bringing benefits for people, for example, you can play strategy games and develop your strategic skills. Some games can help you improve your mathematic abilities or creativity. I think almost every game can get you something special, but it requires thinking while playing.
Which type of entertainment you choose, and why? Gaming? Or maybe you prefer classic games like a chess?

I like chess very much, I played it from an early age. Currently, I prefer video games, but sometimes I also play on the console. I like playing multiplayer the most. I think that video games are more interesting than traditional games because of the storyline and graphics. Video games are still developing.

Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.

I have always played on consoles. I prefer to play on gaming-pad. I do not like to play on the keyboard and mouse. I often have to change the computer to make the games go on better settings. On consoles we do not have to change anything. I consider this a big plus.

Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?

I think yes, playing games develops our imagination and allows us to devise strategies and tactics that are useful in real life. Of course, playing games for too long will have negative effects
Which type of entertainment you choose, and why? Gaming? Or maybe you prefer classic games like a chess?

I do prefer a video games more likely. I used play a lot in the past but unfortunately I have no time for that since adult life has started :/. I like a classic board game and even a classic card games like poker or black jack but like before you need to have time for that and now it’s a little bit harder to catch up with friends for that.

Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.

I prefer playing on PC, I’m not a big fan of the console – especially the controllers.

Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?

Sure, it is. Even today I watch some video about how they have been developing Cyberpunk 2077 and there was a part about how they make a new functionality – Montion capture. It’s some revolutionary technology which allow models of human faces to be compatible with the word when they are speaking.
Which type of entertainment you choose, and why? Gaming? Or maybe you prefer classic games like a chess?
I used to play before I lived in my parents house when there was no worries about anything except study. However now I don't have time for it. Gaming takes too much time, once you started you will never stop. So I am trying to control myself. I like to play board games.

Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.
I used to play on PC using keyboard and mouse, and I think it more preferable for me.

Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?

Yes I think it does. Playing video games develops problem solving, imagination vision and speed skills. As far as I remember, when I played it was necessary to react quickly and kill faster until you were kicked out of the game. Also I think it develops problem solving skills.
Which type of entertainment you choose, and why? Gaming? Or maybe you prefer classic games like a chess?
I prefer classic games more than gaming. Why? I appreciate physical contact with another person, i.e. not only the one via the Internet, but I would like to see and hear them and see their facial expressions and gestures. It's impossible when we play a game on PC or console. After all, I'm not saying that gaming is bad, it also has its advantages.

Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.
I would choose console for gaming especially Xbox. Why console? Because we can buy console in a much lower price. Why Xbox? Because the Xbox pad is extremely comfortable, it fits much better in the hand than the Playstation pad. My first game console was the Xbox 360 and I remember it very well.

Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?
In my opinion gaming industry develop our focus on activities which we have to do. It improves the reaction in emergency situations, when we are in danger and we need to react immediately to save your life. I think playing online games is also an opportunity to improve communication skills. We usually play games in English, so we can improve our language. There are many advantages to playing games as I have just shown.

1. My farther owned his first PC wen I was 3 years old. So I've been gaming all my life you can say. When I was younger I enjoyed a lot of games. Currently I don't play so much. I only occasionally play some Counter Strike for the sake of getting together with my friends. For me playing computer games is more of a social aspect rather than competitive playing. Ironically when I play sport games like big tennis, this becomes more competitive for me rather than social.

2. I have been a student for almost five years with my Master's degree. I can't even remember how it was to own a gaming PC. All I know now is a laptop. I bought "gaming laptop" at some point and it got outdated pretty fast. Then I bought a MacBook, it is considered a heresy amongst gamers, but it is much better for working than other laptops. So if my only "problem" is gaming maybe it is indeed smarter to buy a console for only 500 bucks which will do it's only task perfectly for at least 4 years straight? But actually recent games are so boring, that in the end I won't buy neither console nor PC.

3. Gaming industry started to teach me English since I was 3 years old, so yes, I definitely benefited from gaming.
Which type of entertainment you choose, and why? Gaming? Or maybe you prefer classic games like a chess?

I used to be a huge fan of video games when I was younger and it had lasted until I started high school. During high school and my first years at university I didn't play much because I pretty much lost interest in it. At the end of my first degree studies it started playing games once again. I needed much more powerful PC for my work so I ended up with a gaming machine. With a proper equipment I started checking out what has changed in the industry and shortly after that I have fallen in love with games for the second time in my life.

Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.

I used to play on consoles but nowadays I am a PC guy. It's definately connected with the fact that I also need a powerful PC for my projects so having console would be an unnecessary expanse in my case.

Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?

It depends what people mean by benefit. Video games are basically entertainment oriented so I wouldn't look to hard for any "better life research" in them. It's the same things when it comes to cinema to be honest. Video games, however, have an advantage because children learn problem solving skills while playing video games so some useful skills might be developed while playing. Something worth noting.

I play a lot of video games but to be honest I would prefer some board games like “Tajniacy” or “Robaki” because I think it is more fun to meet and play in group. But, in current pandemic time and with college coming to an end it is sometimes hard to find time and place for everyone to meet.

• Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.
I would choose PC, mostly because it can so much more to offer in terms of all day tasks. On console you can only play games and on PC you can play, watch movies, study or even work. Also I think PC is better for someone who knows his stuff and likes to “play” with its components because you can easily upgrade components if any are too weak or maybe damaged. Thought, if I were a causal gamer, I would choose console over PC. It has its perks e.g. it is more fun to play on couch on controllers with your friends.

• Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?
Yes, I do think that it can develop skills like reflex, strategic thinking or foreign languages. Thought when done in big amounts it has many downsides like addiction, back problems or unhealthy habits like wrong diet.

I love them all! All of them are great when it comes to relaxing and taking rid of stress. If there are friends nearby (and they can't be because hello pandemic) im open to any type of entertainment when it comes to games. In these times gaming is just the best option avaible and i approve it as it also enables us to play with friends.
2.Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.
I'd choose PC, I even build one recently yet I'm waiting for a payday in order to order graphic card. When i was younger I heard a lot about the famous ring of death in XBoxes. It even happend to my friends console. I think it's cheaper to maintain PC as you can even fix it yourself, upgrade and maintain.
3.Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?
Yeah i think so. Many games are stories that someone had to make up. Just like books but it's up to us either we cant to read or play games. Of course it's a little bit exaggarated as games industry are not making biographies for example.

I prefer gaming and reading. I choose gaming because it is extremely flexible and may satisfy every particular need and reading because it improves the imagination and stays in memory for longer.

I choose PC for its high performance although the high price. On the other hand I need these performance for work so it was not a big deal to find a compromise with myself:)

Sure, I believe that gaming develops strong analytical skills, problem solving ability and reaction at least.

Interesting article Jakub, you bring up the topic which I really like.

For sure I would choose gaming, despite the fact that I also like more traditional type of entertainment, for example chess.

According to your article, unfortuantely I think you didn't mentioned about every aspect of the problem. It is not only the price and the performance difference which we can observe during the comparison of the current consoles and PCs. I think the problem is much deeper. Being half a console player and half a PC enthusiast I can clearly say that playing on console (especially for some casual players) is much more convenient. We don't have to think about tons of configurations like drivers, some sort of software to buy/install games, compatiblity issues, other programs and their interference while gaming, choosing the proper communication software. Having a console relieve us of all that stuff. One ecosystem, one hardware configuration (unfortunately this argument is losing value nowadays) and kind of autoconfiguration are irrefutable pros of having console. Clicking one button to play our favourite games with our friends without having to cope with some sort of configuration problems is priceless.

On the other hand PC provides countless configurations, upgradability and freedom of choice in terms of software but that also means some compatability problems etc. Nevertheless playing on the PC platform for me is as much enjoyable as the gaming on the console platform. I often can see some discussions in the Internet about performance differences between PC's and consoles, but for me it's not the case. Consoles are designed to be affordable for average people, putting higher specs parts in it would make the final price exaggerated and unaffordable.

To sum up - in my opinion discussions which device is better - a modern console or a PC is a bit pointless.

According to your last question - yes of course. Competition in the gaming industry drives the progress in technology.

1. Which type of entertainment you choose, and why? Gaming? Or maybe you prefer classic games like a chess?

I definitely like every type of game, it depends on the situation. When I meet my friends, I prefer tabletop games and easy console games like “Fall Guys” etc.Just because for me meeting with friends is not about gaming, It’s more about talking and having fun. I also like to play in “Mortal Kombat 11” with my boyfriend. Sometimes we use this game to resolve arguments but more often just to spend a pleasant time together. So, if you often argue with your friends or lovers, I can recommend this game for you. When I want to spend time alone, I prefer computer, mobile and console games.

2. Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.

It depends on the game I'd like to play. I have a computer, but the console I borrowed from my friends. Games like Sims 4 had better versions for computers, so I often play computer games. Console games are better, if you want to play with someone, because you can sit comfortable on the coach in front of TV, take some beer and snacks and have a good time together.

3. Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?

Yes, I think that computer or console games develop good skills like quick reaction, ability to work in a team, creativity, etc. When I was 12, thanks to “Sims 3” I found myself as a graphic designer, because the first thing I created in 3D was pose for a game, and I learned Photoshop to demonstrate nicely my creations. Another advantage of the game industry are new professions and jobs. If you are into gaming you can become a game tester, game designer, concept artist, UX and UI designer, etc.
1.Which type of entertainment you choose, and why? Gaming? Or maybe you prefer classic games like a chess?
I prefer to competite online with players so my choice is mostly PC platform. I noticed that there is a lot of interesting new features especially with playstation 5 pads. That's why in last days i thought to buy a console but as everyone knows it is hard to get one in this year because of not enough hardware in warehouse. I also like from time to time play board games but still my favourite is PC.

2. Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.
As i said in previous point i prefer to play on PC because there is better competition in FPS (first person shooter) games. I spent a lot of time for example on CSGO which is the best FPS ever.

3. Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?
Yes i totally agree with that. Obviously there is a lot of adventages like the same decisions made in less amount of time than by people which don't play at all, better reflex and strategy thinking. Anyway you have to remember everything is for people but if you will spend too much time in front of PC you can have problems with health.

1.As for me, I love playing games. I like to overcome new challenges and learn new stories. I play computer games as well as board games. I believe that recently I am closer to board games, because thanks to them you can spend a great evening with friends. Computer games are more often an individual activity, but not necessarily. There are games that you can play duo and that's great.

2.I am currently playing on the computer because I don't have a console. It will change soon because I am waiting for my fresh ps5. In my opinion, this battle is won by the console thanks to its longevity. You buy equipment that costs PLN 2,000 at a time and you can enjoy the latest games for the next few years. It is very comfortable. The way of playing on the console also suits me. I fire up the consoles, sit on the couch and it's full of chill.

3.I believe that the technologies they develop can significantly affect our lives in the near past. Different simulators that take us to the world of games is something amazing. I can choose to train members in simulators configured according to the training needs. Such treatments occur in many areas. You can perform some demanding operation by simulating it on a computer.
In my free time I usually play computer games. I have been playing computer games since 20 years so I spend a lot of my life doing it. I don't know exactly why I prefer video games than movies or sport activities, maybe when I was a kid and saw that my dad play games I want to be like him. I like most of types of video games. Games for me is the only way to fully relax my body and mind.
Since 2008 I play on PC. So this is my choice and I don't want to change my main gaming device but in futer I want buy consoles especially older ones (for saving money) to play exclusive games on each platform. I like to have the best performance in games because I have a rule - if I pay all price for game I want to have the best experience on each site.
I think computer games develop useful skills but not all of them. The best for mind develop are strategy games that could learn us how to manage or plan tasks. Of course a lot of games improve our speed reaction or perceptivity.

1. Which type of entertainment you choose, and why? Gaming? Or maybe you prefer classic games like a chess?
To be honest, I don’t even know how to play chess. I’m not a fan of board games either. When it comes to video games, I’ve spent endless hours playing The Sims and... that’s about it. I wouldn’t consider myself a hardcore gamer. In contrast, I know the entire Netflix library inside out.

2. Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.
I’m going to go against the grain with this one. The question of PC vs consoles will not make sense in a few years time. Streaming games is already becoming more and more popular. Soon it won’t matter what hardware you use for playing games, you will only need a simple ‘terminal’ with good internet connectivity. Powerful consoles or PCs in data centres will render the game for you and send it to you so that you can play on any device.

3. Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?
There were already a few topics like this in the past few weeks. I see some advantages of playing games like improving concentration and lower reaction time. I worry, though, that people use these minor health benefits to justify playing games in unreasonable amounts. This situations resembles people justifying drinking a lot of wine because it is good for your digestive system. Yes, but in moderation.
1. Which type of entertainment you choose, and why? Gaming? Or maybe you prefer classic games like a chess?

Nowadays, during pandemic times, my friends and I have changed our usual hangouts (where we played board games) to online gaming sessions - this form of entertainment has been chosen by us due to the availability of new, free and amusing games. The multi-platforming issue is solved by playing the new Call Of Duty title, which allowed us to use in-game voice chat and let everyone in the social circle choose whenever they want to use the console or PC.

2. Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.

Today I am one hundred percent choosing the console - most of the titles I am choosing are exclusives for consoles, and the feature of connecting the mouse and keyboard to PS4 lets me play the FPS games without any problems. Besides, I own the MacBook, therefore there are not many titles that I can enjoy anyway (but I can play the Sims :D).

3. Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?

In my opinion - a little bit yes. The dexterity gained while playing the FPSs or the tactical skills that are required for strategy games may benefit you in some kind of way - the much more significant feature is playing online with friends, which during our times allows us to spend more time together in a fun and safe way.

I like every type of entertainment, PC/Consoles/ even chess or board games.
It depends on my mood and company with whom I can play at this time. In this topic moderator compare PC and Console, but I think it’s kind of unfair compare, consoles right now is getting stronger and better, they support mouses and keyboard so it’s already powerful PC 😊
What i can say about cross platform games, I guess that developers of games should denied this possibility because sometimes you can play from your smartphone and somebody should play from PC, kind of unfair playing for one game with different possibilities.
For main gaming I prefer PC, I really like play CS:GO with my mates, it’s one of possibility to communicate and spend some time with friends who lives in another cities/countries, of course we can just call each other and talk(we do this sometimes :D) but when we have a little competitive this became more interesting 😊
Computer gaming bring a fun, kind of communication skills, maybe a little bit a concentration skills which we all need sometimes, I guess it’s a good opportunity to everybody try at least one time just to know what is it. So my decision – yes, for me gaming bring a lot of useful skills.
Which type of entertainment you choose, and why? Gaming? Or maybe you prefer classic games like a chess?

I prefer gaming type of entertainment but it doesn’t mean that I don’t like classic games at all. Playing computer games allows me to relax but also practice my reflex. When I was a child and my parents bought me my first ever PC, I felt that it’s something I’d prefer. We’ve got pandemic now and gaming or Internet are something that keep my social skills alive. I’ve met many fantastic people playing video games.
Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.

I’m definitely PC player. PCs are kind a expensive but the performance is a way better than console. I always like playing games that have demanding visual effects and graphics.

Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?
Yes it is. As I mentioned before we can practice our body reflex in FPS games. Strategic games develop our thinking and strategy approach. More and more games give us better look for realistic physics. But we have to be careful, games could be very addictive and we should be aware of it.
I always love gaming and from primary school I prefer computer gaming then classic games. On the other hand I can’t say that I’m not enjoy playing classic games, as I played chess and other board games a lot. Personally I love computers, not only gaming, but also building my own, beautiful PC.
This leads to the answer to the next question. I personally prefer PC gaming, just because of the fact that I can build my own, I can upgrade it partially, and make it work the way I want to, creating custom water cooling loops is awesome, which you can’t do with any console. Also, I use computers for programming also, and programming on PS5 can be really hard, but maybe I’m wrong.
I believe that gaming develops some useful skills. For me, it helps me to keep focus on a few things at the same time, or practice reflexes a bit. There are also some not healthy aspects but everything is for humans, as so gaming. If you have balance, gaming can develop useful skills.
1. Which type of entertainment you choose, and why? Gaming? Or maybe you prefer classic games like a chess?

I like computer games as well as "classic" board games. I prefer computer games when I'd like to play alone and board games when I'm spending my time with friends.

2. Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.

I like to separate electronic equipment for gaming and for other stuff, so I'd choose console. It doesn't mean that I don't like playing on my computer but I don't pay as much attention in performance of the games so consoles are just right for me.

3. Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?

I certainly think that gaming industry is developing useful skills. I treat computer games as a medium such as books or movies where you can say a new story in a different way. Also gaming industry coould teach new things like for example driving a car or strategic thinking. So yeah, I for sure think that it's bringing benefits for people and develop some useful skills.

- Which type of entertainment you choose, and why? Gaming? Or maybe you prefer classic games like a chess?

yes, gaming is the entertainment of my choice. I prefer competitive online games, with large community focused on grinding their spot in top ranking. As I started very early with FPS games it's naturally my favourite genre currently (or at least the one I can play competitively). Although I started with tactic shooters like cs (source!) nowadays I feel more comfortable in arena/fast-paced shooters - like Quake (currently Diabotical - quake successor) or apex legends (top 3k in the world!). Sometimes I go into tryhard mode in slower games - like cs:go or Valorant, but I definitely lack of patience there.

- Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.

PC games ever since, I think I appreciate the most flexibility it gives you - mods, custom textures and other utilities (like overlays for card games). Also, I was never convinced to gamepads, I prefer mouse and keyboard.

Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?

I think it already did. I'm aware US military is looking for good FPS gamers as theirs skilled develop in game are helpful in operating real war machineries. Other than that, I think being part of gaming community or playing competitively in your own team is very helpful in developing social skills which can be very useful in IT, as almost all positions in this field require you to be a teamplayer.

1.Which type of entertainment you choose, and why? Gaming? Or maybe you prefer classic games like chess?

I prefer playing in general. I enjoy playing football when there is an opportunity, have a couple of board games like Game of Thrones and Munchkin (and yeah, I know how to play chess too :) ), and also I'm a fan of PC and PS4 games, have played tons of them.

2.Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.

I have both PC and PS4 games, but I prefer buying games which have high requirements for PS4 and strategies for PC. You know, in the first case, I'm sure that I won't have problems with performance, in the second case, strategies haven't got a suitable interface for consoles. Not even close enough.

3.Do you think that computer gaming industry develops useful skills and bring benefits for people?

Well, firstly, it's more about entertaining, relax, chill and so on. But of course, it can bring you benefits as good orientation in space, fine motor skills, reaction, mental flexibility and even understanding of historical context. And of course strategy building.

Definitely meetings with friends. It is the best way to entertain and improve your mood. Nowadays, during pandemic, it's for many reasons difficult. Actually, if there is no other way to spend time with friends, playing games with them, even via internet is a good way out of a situation. There is always a lot of fun. Im not a big fan of classic games, it seems boring.

Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.
I prefer PC, I think PC is more useful, you can use PC to work, study, play games, consoles you can use only for entertainment. For me performance is very important and it's big advantage of PCs. You can also easily upgrade your PC, if you have console there is no opportunity to do it.

Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?
First of all, nowadays, life is full of stress and nervousness, gaming is a good way to chill and de-stress, you can briefly forget about your worry. It is time for you to recharge yours batteries. Moreover you can improve your dexterity and concentration. So, yes there are some big benefits.

I don’t play many games online, on a computer or a console, excluding when my younger brother persuades me to play some game with him. I definitely like more classic games like chess and board games that I can play with my family.

There are only a few games I played more than once and most of them were on a console. The only one game I was playing on my computer was the Sims, but a few weeks ago my brother installed it on his Xbox and since then I have played it few times there and I actually prefer it now.

I think that gaming might help you with staying more alert, noticing more things around you, and give you better reflex.

I like playing video games and board games. Currently, I choose video games more often because board games require more people and epidemic
makes it is difficult to put all friends together.

2.Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.

I personally use both platforms. I have been playing on the console (playstation) since I was a child and I still play all big games on it. On PC, I play strategy games (all from paradox and total war). Despite the fact that my computer would allow me to have better graphics than consoles, I still play all non-strategic games on the console.

3.Do you think that computer gaming industry develops useful skills and bring benefits for people?

Yes, I do. Computer games allow you to develop your knowledge of the English language (for most games it is the default language). Second You can learn a lot of interesting stories and also take part in them.

I've always preferred playing on PC, and if I had to choose, I would go with it. But that being said, I do own a PS4, mostly for exclusive games, and I can see why some people prefer consoles.

3. Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?
Yes, gaming can help us develop useful skills. First thing that comes to my mind is learning new languages, speaking from experience, playing video games helped me in learning English. You can also train your reflexes, or even your teamworking skills.
https://konwersatorium1-ms-pjwstk.blogspot.com/2020/11/week-4-1611-21)
Personally, I am a huge fan of sports. I like playing football and spending time in "Jump Park". Of course, I also like computer games like "CS GO" and "Rocket Legue". They require reflexes and knowledge of the rules, so they can be compared to sports.
2)
It's hard to choose between the console and the PC, but I would choose the PC. The console is only for playing games, and the PC can be used for many other things like work or home server. The PC offers greater efficiency and there is a possibility of connecting an xbox pad.
3)
Research answers this question yes. In my opinion, games develop logical thinking and help you learn other languages. On the other hand, they are also a waste of time and money. The main goal of gaming corporations is to earn money, and the secondary goal is to develop useful skills. After all, the games are developing.
211-future-of-gaming.html
1. I can play both classic, non-standard board games, but I will still give preference to computer games.
Often, when they ask me why I play computer games, I get stuck. "What a stupid question?" - this will be the answer in most cases. If you try to get a more reasoned answer from me, then you can hear: “this is fun, helps to relax after work” or “it's like plunging into a multivolume fascinating novel, in which you can still participate” or “this is an integral part of my life, I’m with I play from my childhood ”.
Games in one form or another have existed in human society since its inception, and the concept itself is present in the language of every culture.

2. I prefer PCs more for myself. But I do not exclude options for other gaming platforms and consoles. However, I want to say that video games can be treated differently, regardless of the genre and type of game console ...
For the first group, computer games, like most outdoor games, are a great opportunity to let off steam. Getting the necessary relaxation, for example, by playing several matches in Call of Duty or FIFA, is the most common motivation. This is why competitive games, as well as shooters, action games, and slashers are so popular. And there is absolutely nothing strange or wrong about it. The main thing is to be aware that this is your main motivation to play. After all, computer violence and excitement help to throw out unnecessary emotions into the virtual world, and not on family members or work colleagues, which is extremely important for a person in principle.
For the second group, computer games are a way to get unique experiences that are impossible in real life. Games help these people find answers to pressing questions, solve personal problems and look at the world from a different angle. By the way, this is exactly what makes individual computer games art, which cannot be said about any other type of games in principle.

3. Yes, I believe that it is developing at a rather fast pace.
So are games really harmful? And if so, but how much? Researchers have been asking this question for several decades, but the results of various tests and observations are quite contradictory. In the end, psychologists increasingly began to say that it was time to pay attention not only to the negative, but also to the positive aspects of hobby for video games, which are usually ignored, because the researchers initially set themselves the goal of looking for the negative. But games have changed a lot in recent years, they have become much more complex, more realistic, more socially oriented. It must have some kind of impact. And some research over the past five years suggests that gaming isn't all that bad. Psychologists note that modern video games can help develop social and cognitive skills, provide new emotional experiences, and sometimes even contribute to overall mental health.
Research in the fields of developmental and evolutionary psychology has long underestimated the positive effects of play, especially in childhood and adolescence. By playing social games, children not only try out various scenarios for interacting with other people, but also learn to solve conflict situations that may arise in real life. Games allow you to safely “rehearse” power and domination, aggression, pain, and disruption.
In my free time, I like to read tech-related articles. I also like casual gaming, but it doesn't give me as much pleasure as before. Maybe new games are getting worse or I'm getting older. But I will definitely buy Cyberpunk 2077 when it finally comes out :)

I only play on PC. The games in most cases are cheaper and there's Steam. Also, the feeling of FPS games on high refresh monitors and the precision of a mouse is impossible to recreate in the console world. By the way, I hate playing on a controller, but probably if I would have a console I would finally get used to it.

Playing games has a lot of benefits. I think that for younger people the most beneficial is learning English. In most games, you can turn on subtitles, so even if you don't understand every word that characters are saying you can read them. Other games train reflex. There are also logical games. Fritz program that is used to play professional chess has advanced AI and built-in and chess grandmasters moves.

Video games for the everyday entertainment and board games while hanging out with friends. Board games and small parties make a great pair. And it's great for ice-breaking!

2. Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.
I'm playing only on PC for now but I'm probably going to buy PlayStation at some point to catch up with all the exclusives I missed since last console I had was PS3 like 10 years ago. But PC has higher priority for me since it's not only for games but also a tool used for working.

3. Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?
As many people mentioned before playing games helped me a lot with English. When I was in primary school my marks were filled with twos and after I bought console and started playing games in English it went to fives in something like 2-3 years! :D
1. Which type of entertainment you choose, and why? Gaming? Or maybe you prefer classic games like a chess?

To be honest I don't have a favourite here. Most of the time I spend on the computer is playing but on the other hand I love classic games f.e. board games. Digital gaming is easy to play especially because it is so easy to communicate with other people. To play board games you need to actually meet with someone in real life and it might be hard especially with covid pandemic going on. It doesn't change the fact that board games let you have nice conversation while playing cause they don't absorb as much attention as computer games. You can also mix them with other activities that are fun with a group like drinking a beer or eating something nice.

2. Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.
I use both. I don't really get why people argue so much which one is better (PC Master Race or consoles). I enjoy playing on console as much as on PC. I think consoles are very convenient. You can just buy a console and be sure that for 8 years every game will run on it and it will look good. If you want to be sure that computer is going to run every game it needs to be a good one and probably you will need to update components after few years.

3. Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?
I think that probably most industries does. Gaming is not only about entertaining. It can teach kids how to behave. Games can easily popularize some attitude that might be useful in society.

2. Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.
PC masterrace for the win!!! I've never had console in my life. I like how flexible PC is. I'm using my gaming tower as workspace as well.

3. Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?
Definitely. Games are helping with general perception. They can be used as very vivid and interactive medium for storytelling.
1. Which type of entertainment you choose, and why? Gaming? Or maybe you prefer classic games like a chess?
It is hard to answer, because it all depends on many circumstances. For example I like gaming a lot. It is easier to play video games on my own at my place rather than hangout with friends and play some board games like chess or monopoly. Especially these times we should limit meetings with friends. To sum up, I can't choose between those two. During COVID times I prefer to stay at home and play on PC or console. I have bought recently some new games, but I don't have time to play.

2. Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.
I am playing mostly on console. I use PC to work/study and after that I prefer to chill without my work-machine. I prefer to play on console because I like shooters. Firstly, it is easier for me to move and shoot with pad-controller rather than using keyboard and mouse. Secondly, I prefer to play on console because when I bought console I can use it for couple of years and still play the newest games with high quality without lags.

Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?
I think there is a chance that gaming industry develops useful skills but it depends what games people are playing and how much time they are spending on it. For example strategy games can improve some leadership skills and help working under pressure. Moreover racing games are helping drivers to improve their reflexes. I have heard that some of F1 drivers stared on simulators and their teams finds them because of their achievements in games.

I really enjoy either PC games and classic gameboards. I am a huge fan of every game where you can contest with your friends or just play together in cooperation. During the pandemic I spend much more time playing games with my friends online than in real life, but the fun is exactly the same.
I have been playing games on my PC for my whole life. I had Xbox360 for a few years, but games that I was playing that time didn’t feel so intuitive when I was using pad. I was used to mouse and keyboard and it took me a while before I get some experience in playing on pad. In my opinion there is one game that is made for playing on gamepad and it’s FIFA.
I think that playing computer games develop a lot of useful skills. It also teaches some important behaviors. I’m pretty sure computer games taught me patience and humility. They developed my perceptivity, dexterity and reflex. Thanks to games I made a lot of new friendships with people from all around the world, and I’m really thankful for that I could grew up in computer games era.
1. Which type of entertainment you choose, and why? Gaming? Or maybe you prefer classic games like chess?
When I'm alone at home, I like to play video games, as you don't need to have someone to play with like in case of board games. I prefer to play games on my console over my laptop, mainly because I use it for my studies and work. As a kid, I mostly played the Sims on my PC, and I feel like this one of the iconic game of our times. However, for playing with friends I prefer board games, as they help to bond with your friends without digital distractions. My favourite would be Trivial Pursuit, its a trivia with questions from six categories like literature, sport and leisure or biology. I would really recommend it for anyone looking for a fun game, that makes you learn about all those categories.
2. Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.
I don't have much time for playing games nowadays, but if I could I would like to purchase the new PlayStation 5, as I've enjoyed playing on its predecessors. I guess I chose a console due to the fact that I'm constantly working on computers so it's easier to stop thinking about work when using a different device.
3. Do you think that computer gaming industry develops useful skills and bring benefits for people?
I think that the gaming industry is often overlooked as a valuable source of art. I've seen many wonderful games with capturing visual effects and an interesting plot. Few of games have some educational input, but I feel like most of them is mainly for entertainment. Aside from learning a few phrases from a different language, I haven't heard of any more useful abilities from playing video games.
Which type of entertainment you choose, and why? Gaming? Or maybe you prefer classic games like a chess?

I can't decide on that one. I wouldn't call myself a "gamer" or anything, but I like to play some video games sometimes. It doesn't really matter if it's a PC game, or console one. I personally like to play 3rd person perspective games on console, while when dealing with 1st person perspective ones I'm choosing the PC. I also love some good cardboard games! They're great social interaction, and most of the times they are also very funny and engaging. :) Also they can help improve your ability to think logically, and faster.

Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.
As I said in the previous answer, It depends on the kind of game I'm playing. Consoles can serve you great playing from the 3rd person perspective, also when you can play with your friends when you have few pads. I couldn't play any 1st person shooter games on console, I'mused too much to mouse and keyboard. Also It's impossible to be as accurate on the console, as you are on the PC. Playing on the console is also way more comfortable when you can lay on your couch after hard day in work or school. However PC has also plenty of benefits! You can have few screens, it's more multitasking in general, there is a lot more free to play games.

Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?

I can agree on that. First of all, most of games are in english, and so you get to learn a lot! Starting with understanding more or less the language, ending on being able successfully communicate with players around the world! Even playing games for one person, there is so much more useful informations about the levels, items or whatever you need in english than in most of other languages. Also games helps with perception in general. You can learn to do multiple tasks, or some activities could take you less time. Of course, we shouldn't get too positive or negative on anything. Games are providing lots of benefits: they are relaxing, you can learn from them, make new friends. But also you can get addicted to them. It's important to know your limits, and in my opinion it is not good to spend too much time on video games. Honestly it is not too good to spend too much on anything! Games, like almost everything in the world, can cause some problems, while used unwisely.

1. Which type of entertainment you choose, and why? Gaming? Or maybe you prefer classic games like a chess?

I am a huge fan of gaming and it is my favorite hobby, but I also enjoy chess.

2. Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.

I'm playing on the PC because my favorite genre (MOBA) is only playable on the PC. There are some console MOBAs, but it's like playing shooters using pad: you can do it, but why? I've had an Xbox 360 when I was younger and I enjoyed playing games like Guitar Hero, Forza and some Naruto fighting game whose name I can't remember and it was fun, but I've always preferred playing on the PC. In my opinion the only advantages consoles have over PC are price and exclusives, but that's all. Some can argue that playing with a pad sitting on your armchair in the living room is a big advantage, but you can do the same with a PC.

3. Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?

I think so. There was a study proving that gaming can improve reaction time and strategic thinking. Also, I can remember that I've improved my English when I was playing Fallout 1 and 2 as a child.
1. I definitely prefer computer games, mainly due to fact that you dont need good weather, you dont have to leave the house and you can play with people from all over the world, which also allows you to meet new people. Classic games are fun on some vacation trips where access to a computer is limited
2. As computer specialist, I prefer computer because I use it in my daily work, so better gaming computer is also better computer for work. If I wasn't developer, I would prefer console because of lower price
3. I think so, but don't overdo it, it gives something up to some point. For example when playing racing games on connected steering wheel it may somehow help you to better drive your car, some logic games may help you to train your memory. And online games in better interpersonal contacts

1. Which type of entertainment you choose, and why? Gaming? Or maybe you prefer classic games like a chess?
1. Classic games are amazing type of games when you have people with who you can play them in real life. Naturally, you can play games like chess on-line, but 99% of board games etc. can only be played in person. For me, I much prefer Gaming to classic games, although playing them occasionally is quite fun, especially on some events and conventions with random people.

2.Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.
2. In my opinion PC is far superior than consoles. For me the performance of games is the most important, so consoles with their choppy frame-rate is a deal breaker for me. In the subject of pricing, games on consoles are much higher priced than PC games, so in the long run having the PC is much more cost-saving.

3.Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?
3.Sadly gaming doesn't give you almost any skills apart from a little faster reaction time. Gaming makes you lazy, some people even get angry issues and gambling addictions. I'll remember to assign my children hours during which they can play games, so they don't spend whole day on them.
Which type of entertainment you choose, and why? Gaming? Or maybe you prefer classic games like a chess?
I do like playing games. Lately i do more gaming that i used to for a couple of years back. I used to play a lot of games thatn i have a long brake and now im starting playing back again but manly some old titles that my old but upgraded computer can handle.

If money wouldnt be an issue i definitely would have some nice PC set-up. But im considere buying ps5 when it will be awaliable again in poland. Im not a turbo gamer but i do like play but more casually so thats why im thinking about ps5.

Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?
Sure. It can develop better reactions or perception. I also play a lot driving sims on pc and i can see some benefits on my everyday driving.
Which type of entertainment you choose, and why? Gaming? Or maybe you prefer classic games like a chess?

My favorite type of entertainment are any kinds of games and other activities that require my brain to work faster and harder. I'm playing computer games to relax and I play boardand card games to challange others to fight with me with their brain.

Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.

I would describe myself as a combination of both. I'm choosing PC because of the performence, as you said, but I'm also playing on a console (at the moment it's PS4, earlier PS3 and now I'm about to buy PS5) for the exclusives. I think that PS has the best exlusive games (games that are only made for one platform) in the world.

Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?

Of course, I think that's true. Computer gaming industry is growing and growing in recent years. It gave lots of people place to work, place where they can chase their dreams and brings lots of joy to the players all around the world. Truth is that the gaming community is also growing bigger and makes a lot of new ways to make money.

I am very big fan of computer games. For my whole life I play computer games very often and it gives me a lot of fun. It was always one goal - to be as good as possible in any game I start. I really like competetive play and that is fun for me. If it comes to classic board games like chess, I also really like them, I play chess with my father when I go to visit my family home.

2. Which platform would you choose for gaming? PC with their performance or consoles with lower prices.
It depends what You expect from gaming. If You want to play competetively I would choose PC for sure. If You just want to have fun for example after work and just relax on the sofa - the console is better option.

3.Do you think that computer gaming industry develop useful skills and bring benefits for people?
I am sure that it can develop many skills. First of all it really improves strategic thinking. In addition You get very good reaction skills. In multiplayer games You can also get better with Your English.

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form.
