Week 12 [20.01-26.01.20] Can Disney steal Spider-Man?

On August 2019 hit huge news about clash between Disney and Sony. The core of conflict was about copyright and future use of Spider-Man in Marvel movies. After big success of second film about Spider-Man Sony breaks agreement with Disney. However at the beginning of October two companies signed new contract of copyright. There is still a question why Disney doesn’t buy rights for Spider-Man franchise.

Questions:
1. Do you watch Marvel movies and if you do, which of new movie you want to see the most?
2. In your opinion, should Disney purchase copyright for Spider-Man?
3. Do you think film market will be monopolized by Disney?

I've seen several movies and I used to watch cartoons on FoxKids and Cartoon Network like X-Men, spiderman or incredible hulk.
Out of their new movies I think that I am most interested in The New Mutants.
It is from DC universe but to be fair, I'd watch movie about Lobo.

I don't care and neither I mind.

It will depend if their movies are good. If they earn enough money, they might monopolize market. If they do bad movies, they won't get satisfying amount of money and therefore no - they won't monopolize market.

1. I do watch Marvel movies and I usually enjoy them, but I wouldn’t say that I’m a huge fan, so there is no anticipation considering new movies. I even don’t know the upcoming titles to be fair. However, if I had to choose my favourite series, that would definitely be “Thor”. You just can’t say “no” to the chemistry between Thor and Loki as brothers. True siblings with a bit of magic if you ask me :D

2. No, I don’t think they should. It’s good for the film industry to have ambitious and creative competition, which Sony undeniably is. In recent years they’ve managed to create exceptionally animated Spider-Man Universum (masterpiece of new animation possibilities if you ask me) and quite funny Spider-Man with Tom Holland as the lead. Taking that into account, I think Disney would ruin the potential, that this universum conceals.

3. Gosh, I hope not. Do not get me wrong, I do like Disney, my love for their older animations will forever be strong, but I think nowadays they are creating more and more cash grabs, rather than create something unforgettable, as they did before. (For example all the 3D remakes such as: Aladdin, The Jungle Book, The Lion King - they were made simply to earn money, rather than create something new and remarkable, basing on the successful story)
1. I used to, but, right now, there are too many Marvel movies and just skipping one could mess with the story. I'm planing for a marathon so I can catch up, maybe I'll have some time after this examination session ;)

2. They will probably wait and see how the situation plays out. Disney is a huge company and money seems to be their ultimate goal. It would be funny though if Sony would find another bidder, I'm curious what would've happened.

3. I strongly agree with Olga (the previous comment): I hope not! However, It seems to be going this way as more and more companies are gathering franchise after franchise and doing well because of it... Same as Olga I used to adore Disney animations and still do, however, I can't have much respect to the company that bases their business on "milking" the same cow, over and over again, instead of creating something new. They used to be so good, moreover, they used to set the course for others. It was sad to see how they transform over the years and I don't believe they will ever change back. The movies are not that bad, plenty of specialists are working on them and they achieve what they oped to, but the company decisions are not based on the values Disney used to have.

1. Yes, I am a big fan of marvel. I watch every movie they make and most of them are pretty amusing. They have a huge budget so the quality is also very high. The stories with links between each other are interesting too. From the movies that are about to come up I mostly wait for Doctor Strange 2. I had a lot of fun watching the first part and I alos really like the lead actor Benedict Cumberbatch.

2. I think they should. They have already proven how good they are at making movies and using marvel universe source material. However its unlikely to happen because Spider-Man rights generate too much money for Sony to let it go.

3. Marvel super heroes movies market probably yes but other I don't think so.

Of course I watched marvel movies, maybe not all, but a lot. Honestly, I'm not a fan of marvel, just like the DC comics. I especially don’t like their latest films, besides the fact that it’s already prohibitively fantastic, it also seems that the directors are not thinking primarily about a high-quality film, but about how to make more money from it. If viewers like special effects and hackneyed jokes, then this doesn't mean that 80% of the film should consist of them, just to get a rating and a lot of money.

But I really like the first marvel films, and I watched them more than once, for example, the first parts of the X-men, the first films about the Iron man, the Hulk, and so on. Judging by the marvel movies by phases, I really like the first one, the second is still watchable, and I don’t like the third.

Since I already wrote, I'm not a fan, so I can’t say anything about should Disney purchase copyright for Spider-Man or not and about the monopolization of the market by Disney, since I don’t understand anything about it.
Of course I agree with you, but do you think there is any good competitor for Disney who can also create such big movies like MCU universe? We saw two years ago that Warner Brothers tried and they failed.
Do you think there will be new movie companies like Disney or Warner Brothers in the future or this market is so close and there will be in the end several big companies who create all blockbusters?
Can you imagine another big universe which will be create in the future? I mean not super heroes universe like Marvel or DC. And which movie company can create such big project?
I like first and third phase of marvel films. Do you think merge between X-Man and MCU is the new, fresh start for this franchise or this is just bad idea and MCU should and with third phase?
Yes I agree with you and Olga that nowadays companies like Disney "milking" their franchises. Do you think they are killing creativity of directors who making this movies because it has to be "safe" movie to earn enough money

1. Do you watch Marvel movies and if you do, which of the new movies do you want to see the most?
Now Marvel is making so many movies that it's just impossible not to watch, each of us has seen at least one of their films. Some people say it was Marvel who brought people back to cinema. Of all the upcoming films, I am most looking forward to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Firstly, they killed Iron Man, so it's a good alternative, secondly, one of my favorite actors (Holmes: D) is part there, and thirdly there is magic in the movie that I always adored, so there is a combo.
2. In your opinion, should Disney purchase copyright for Spider-Man?
I don't think so. Disney has made a lot of good movies, but let's be honest it doesn't produce the best products right now. So they themselves need healthy competition (who is Sony) to bring back the glory that they had. And Sony making really good movies with Spider-Man, so I don't see the need to buy copyright.
3. Do you think the movie market will be monopolized by Disney?
Not at all. There are other major film corporations that make many interesting products. Now let's add to this all the desire of Disney to make money on everything they can, and I can confidently say that soon many film directors will go to competing firms and Disney will have big problems. So, no.

1. Yes, I do. I would like to watch Black Widow and Venom 2, this year and then I will be waiting on Black Panther and Deadpool.

2. They should wait. It is a good opportunity to earn money (for Sony). Maybe thanks to this Spiderman will not last as long as Star Wars.

3. Maybe not every movie should be from one studio. But It could happen.
1. Do you watch Marvel movies and if you do, which of new movie you want to see the most?
Yes I watch Marvel movies and if I must choose one then it will be “What if ?” it’s not a movie but animated series about alternative version of stories from avengers universe movies that we already know for example what if Peggy Carter took super soldier serum instead of Steve Rogers or what if there was a zombie apocalypse. It sounds fun to watch… if they don’t screw up this.
2. In your opinion, should Disney purchase copyright for Spider-Man?
After I watched the last Star Wars, I have mixed feelings about this but if they leave him in Avengers universe then why not I'm sick of remakes of Spider-Man.
3. Do you think film market will be monopolized by Disney?
No, I don’t think that they will monopolize film market, but I think they will occupy a large part of it.
1. Do you watch Marvel movies and if you do, which of a new movie you want to see the most?

I used to watch all the movies, but now I feel they're too many films from Marvel and I feel overloaded with them, so I stopped. My last Marvel film was Avengers: The End. I can say it was quite interesting, but after this movie, I stopped looking after Marvel films.

2. In your opinion, should Disney purchase copyright for Spider-Man?

I think no, the more firms there are, the better product we as customers will get, moreover Sony is doing a great job now with evolving the Spider-Man Universe in their films. So, I think Marvel should not buy the copyright for Spider-Man.

3. Do you think the film market will be monopolized by Disney?

To be honest, I hope it wouldn't. First of all, the monopoly is bad. It is one of the basic rules and we as a customer will suffer from it the most. The second, I like Disney, but they have some rules, which I don't like. I feel like Disney has become a big factory of films, which are not always great (the last trilogy of Star Wars is a great example). So, I hope it wants to happen in the nearest future.

1. I watch Marvel movies, although I'm not a big fan, I just enjoy them. I am waiting for 'The eternals', which should come out this year.

2. I think that they should not. From Disney perspective buying right for Spider-Man would be great, because those movies make great amount of money, although I like the way Spider-Man is now. Sony should remain the rights to the franchise.

3. No, I don't think it will be monopolized. Disney has great shares in this market, although there are still other companies that create great productions.

1. Well i have watched some of Marvel movies but i completely lost intrest in them. Lately i don't even know which movies came out.

2. Disney made a lot of great movies . I am not sure about Marvel movies but from what i remember old Spider Man movies which were horrible in my opinion were made by sony so it is not bad idea to give a chance to Disney to make one.

3. If we are talking about franchises like Marvel or Star Wars - absolutely they have a lot of fans and movies that came out lately even if they were not good , people wanted to see them in the cinema.
I do watch them, I believe than "Black widow" will be coming soon so I will most certainly watch it.

I believe if they want to make money out of it than yes.

Not a chance, there is too much money in this business to be monopolized by one company.

I do watch Marvel movies, I’ve seen almost every single one of them - they’re fun, usually easy to watch, humorous and well-made. I’m waiting for quite a few now: Black Widow (will be in cinemas this year), next Doctor Strange movie (2021), next Spider-Man movie (yep, cliffhanger was preeeetty nice), next Thor movie. Also waiting for confirmation regarding next Deadpool and Guardians of the Galaxy movies. Gosh, did I just mentioned almost all of their future projects?
I don’t know if Disney should or not. They’re playing some complicated games now and I’m not an expert to give my opinion.
It definitely shouldn’t. Monopoly is never good, in any part of the business. They should probably acquire the rights for all the MCU characters, yes, because it’d be a shame if for example such an important part of MCU as Spider-Man is now (leader-of-Avengers-to-be) will suddenly disappear. But in the film-making industry as a whole should be a healthy competition - it’ll motivate all of the sides to make a good product (and do not create any Aladdin-like movies never again).
1. Yes, I'm watching. I'm not waiting for a specific movie, but how the story of the whole MCU will develop now.
2. It would certainly make it a lot easier, but it also promises to be an interesting cooperation between marvel and sony.
3. I believe that this market cannot be monopolized, for example, netflix is growing strongly.
\
1. I watch Marvel movies. I prefer Marvel rather than DC. I do not like Spider-Man, but I am waiting the most for new Thor, propably I will watch every film when it will be realised, but for now I am waiting especially for Thor.

2. It can purchase it, but then it will be very "strong". They have bought the Star Wars and now they will buy another great production. It is hard to say, maybe I will like the "new" Spiderm-man realised with Disney.

3. I hope not, monopoly is never a good option.

1. Do you watch Marvel movies and if you do, which of new movie you want to see the most?
I used to watch many marvel movies, but unfortunately now I watch their movies less often. I'm not waiting for any movie from this studio.

2. In your opinion, should Disney purchase copyright for Spider-Man?
I think that spiderman is recognized all over the world and it is really profitable to have copyrights for it.

3. Do you think film market will be monopolized by Disney?
I think a certain branch of the movie market is threatened by Disney's monopoly.
1. Do you watch Marvel movies and if you do, which of new movie you want to see the most?
I really enjoy watching Marvel movies. My personal favourite is Spider-man: Homecoming :) but i didnt see the new spider man far from home so i probably want to se that one in the first place.

2. In your opinion, should Disney purchase copyright for Spider-Man?
As spoken in the video in two scenarios when Disnay will wait whatever happens to sony Disney is winning. Slightly more slightly less but winning. So watching the video i guess Disney should just wait.

3. Do you think film market will be monopolized by Disney?
I have no idea. Im really not into war between the film companies/studios.
1. Yes, I really like Marvel films. I'm really looking forward to seeing the second part of Venom.
2. Disney's been losing the quality of its movies lately. I think the competition is good for film productions, but sometimes it's better to stop creating new films about the same stories.
3. I hope not. If it happened, the films would cease to be unique and all of them would be very similar to each other, which is already happening anyway. I think it's really hard to get good quality films these days.

Week 11 [03-09.06.2019] The problem with ecological cars emission in UK

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form. These can be particles of sea salt, clouds from the Sahara and artificial compounds made by people. These compounds often come fr
