Week 8 [16.05 - 22.05] 7 amazing places you probably don't know about (16.05-22.05)

It's a dream for everyone who loves to travel to see these amazing places before death.

7. Bolivia, Daniel Campos

It's an absolutely breathtaking picture, but it's also a real picture not Photoshop, this place is Daniel Campos Province in the north-western part of Bolivia. It's called after the poet who lived in this area. In the picture you can see the world's largest salt mine, it looks totally like an unreal painting.

6.  Iceland, glacier Snæfellsjökull

We have a lot of beautiful places on in  the world, but the best winter views are in Iceland for sure. This landscape was used in many movies and documents.  11% of Iceland is covered by  glaciers (something about 11,400km2).  Every year a lot of tourists come to  see it. But Iceland's glaciers are in danger because of climate change, every year they lose some of the ice cap.

5. Japan, Ashikaga flower park

Every year we can admire such a view in a Japanese flower park for 3 weeks;  blooming flowers turn the park into pastel and pink heaven. This old tree is 100 years old.

4. Bora bora, four seasons resort

It Is a luxury resort in Bora Bora: all  the bungalows are placed on water. It looks so amazing, almost unreal. The water in this area is pristine.

3. Netherlands, Patersworldse Meer Lake

In this breathtaking environment you can ice skate. This is the most visited place in the Netherlands because of unbelievable surrounding. It's the biggest natural area to ice skate. Almost every year it's open from December to February; it depends on how low the temperature is.

2.  Hong Kong, Buddha

That is the biggest Buddha statue in the world, it's 34 meters tall and weighs 250 tonnes. It was built in 1993 from 202 bits of bronze. Also its surrounding is amazing, you can feel  as if you were  in paradise. There are 268 steps to climb to see it.

1. Croatia, Plitvice lakes national park

That's number one on the list.  This place was found in 1949 in a national park which is the oldest in southeast Europe and the largest in Croatia. It was added to the UNESCO World register and now more than 1,200,000 people visit this area every year. There are 16 lakes connected with each other with waterfalls. It should be a magical place.
For sure we can find a lot of different beautiful places that are worth seeing but I think it could be a good inspiration to do that.

What is on your bucket list?

I personally saw the Buddha statue in Hong-Kong some time age. But I got really interested in Plitvice lakes national park. I googled it and looks like I have a place I really would like to see. I like to visit wonders of the nature, especially here in eastern Europe but have not heard about this one. And as it is not that far it might be nice idea for weekend break.

Thanks for the interesting presentation. Place which you've showed are really beautifull and certainly all of us should be there in the future.
Oh, maybe someone was there?
Colors of these places makes me impressed.
I don't have the same list, but I have one place which I would like to visit the most - it is Georgia :) It is my dream.

I have huge list of places that I would love to see. I know that I have no idea about other places that are amazing and your list is also very interesting. First of all I would love to see at least on country in every continent. The differences are the most visible among continents. Secondly I would love to travel during some festivals in countries like for instance Mask Ball in Venice. This experience would be amazing.

Traveling nowadays is really cheap and we can save so much money that we can afford decent vacations. There is also a lot of promotions or last minute offers that are very good. What is more I love sightseeing and watching pieces of art on my own eyes not only on pictures in books or internet. This make a huge difference. I also advise to read blogs with tips how to travel on budget.
Cool subject. There is so many places I would love to visit. My dream and goal is to visit every country in this world :) I mainly travel in Europe and in each country there is something worth seeing, people and culture different from other places. Not mentioning the cuisine and traditions that are absolutely unique. I am really amazed about inspiration that we can take from such trips. Many of polish investors came up with new businesses after traveling to other countries. It is not hard to became inspired and find out something good.

Many times I was surprised with things like Paczkomaty in Poland that exist in other countries for years. Still it is something new for us. I saw many food technology solutions that we have to wait for years to work in our country. Definitely we made a progress but still there is a lot of work to be done.

It never ceases to amaze me how beautiful the Earth is. Now it seems cliche to say you're taking inspiration from nature, but it's true; so many inventions are based on what nature has created.

Silly thought but it all kind of reminds me of the old Star Wars debate about diversity of the planets in that universe. People often complained that the planets can only be one kind, like all water, all swamp or all sand :D And here we have the Earth with so many completely different ecosystems and beautiful sights. It always unsetlled and fascinated me at the same time to see Coruscant, a planet that was all one big city, because it had no natural places left in it, nothing green. I suppose people can get used to anything, but I sometimes wonder if we're able to live apart from nature for a long time and what becomes of us then.
I've already been in Plitvice. It's definitely worth seeing. I love travelling and would like to see all those places mentioned above and a ton more. My short term goal is to visit southern Portugal (including Lisbon).

I have not been to any of those places. Surely it would be nice to wisit them. However, my personal bucket list consists mostly of activities, like visiting Thailand to train thai boxing in the place of its origin.

I was just in Plitvice Lakes and it's really beautiful place. The rest of the places I would like to visit but I'm afraid that now are beyond my reach. I think to go to these places requires quite big budget but I hope that I could someday visit a few of them. Now I try to go somewhere closer, maybe Italy for example here: https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lago_di_Como

Thanks for the presentation, these are amazing places indeed. I haven't seen any of them sadly, but I heard about the salt flat you mentioned and I've seen many breathtaking photos of it on the Internet. I would love to see and experience it myself someday. It's so unreal!

And the Plitvice Lakes National Park look like a perfect place for me. I love karst landscapes. It's amazing how water can sculpt the environment. :)
It's amazing that on the Earth are so many beatiful places. One day I was trying to make a list of which I wanna visit, but then I realised that everywhere I go I can find some beatiful spots.
I was on Iceland and saw glacier Snæfellsjökull. It's make a huge impression.

It was amazing trip. I felt like in a tale. There is unbelievable beautiful nature. In my bucket list are a lot of places. One of these is Bora bora, four seasons resort. It looks like a paradise. Moreover I want to visit generally Japan. I haven’t heard about Ashikaga flower park. It is perfect place to add to my list.

Very cool idea about the article, these are great places to visit. Unfortunately, they were already known to me before. Even the aforementioned garden in Japan I’m planning to visit this summer on a trip. I like the variety of landscapes that earth has to offer. It would be nice to expand the list of such wonderful places in the future.

Wow, that Iceland winter views are awesome! Never saw such a beautiful place. I would love to visit this four seasons resort in Bora Bora, it looks like heaven.

From this list you've posted I think I'd like to visit Bora Bora. I have experienced similar landscapes and views already, but this is something more exotic and since you see basically water, it looks like a paradise. Also Iceland is a place I would like to visit since my geology-studying friend recommended it for a trip. Refering to your list, the place I have visited is located in Croatia, which I have almost fully discovered :) but I would always recommend everybody to look for some more hidden, beautiful places there. I would actually don't mind visiting it again and trying it myself.

The Iceland glacier is my favourite place on that list.

Italy is also a beautiful country worth seeing!

I agree it looks amazing. I also want to go there someday! It must be an amazing expirience.

What was your impression about this Buddha satute?
Unknown said…
Lisbon is beautiful and also worth seeing I've been there few years ago.

Nature is inspiring for sure, but it's not only about seeing this places but also about finding yourself and enjoying new experiences. New language, new culture it also can be as much inppiring as an amazing lake or view.

I haven't been to any of these places, but I'd sure want to! They do look amazing. I wish I had money to visit them all... Maybe someday :)

Thanks for an interesting presentation!
Wow, all these places are amazing! I would like to see each of them.
It reminds me one article I've read some days ago, it was about 100 most beautiful places, but I am not sure that all places mentioned in your article were there.
It is in Russian, but you can still enjoy awesome pics
http://lifehacker.ru/special/100places/
I have not seen any of these places but they are amazing. You're right - it is probably the dream of every one of us. Although I know that sometimes they add a lot of pictures of the place. This was the case of Pamukkale in Turkey. Before I was there I watched a lot of beautiful pictures - the reality a little different but still delicious. You have to always take on this amendment. I like to watch beautiful photographs from around the world - it is a good material for the plans and dreams.

The most I would like to visit Zion National Park in southwestern USA (look at: http://meros.org/uploads/gallery/43/7e/50/4307ee50c5325a67153f2b4a41a62483.jpg). This park has 24 kilometers long and 800 meters deep. It's famous because of the reddish and tan-colored geologic formation called Navajo Sandtone by the North Fork of the Virgin River. For me it's one of the most beautiful places which I would like to see before my death.

I was so close to seeing Plitvice lakes but unfortunately didn't make it :/ I've also wanted to visit Iceland for quite some time now. Of the places that are off my bucket list I can recommend Florence - it's an absolutely stunning city, all the art and architecture... just make you wanna never leave :)
Another one would be Sevan lake in Armenia - it's the bluest, warmest and clearest lake I've ever seen. The memory alone brings tears to my eyes :)
For the things that are still on my bucket list - I love visiting cities with interesting architecture and history, seeing how cultures are different from one another and such, so I don't think I'll rest until I've visited at least all the capital cities of the old continent.

I've never been to any of these places but i really want to go and visit them after your presentation, well done. I recommend you going to sicily, def my favorite place i've ever been to

Traveling to discover this kind of places is one of thing in my life that i try to do every year and i dont mind to spend any money on that. What can be better then communing with nature and new, exotic culture. I will be never bored of that.
Places from your presentation are special and unique. I have known about most of them but part with largest salt mine in Bolivia is something astonishing. Generally South America is the place i have never been and the place i still dream to visit. Chile, Brasil or mention Bolivia are on my priority list.
This days traveling is easier and easier. Cheap flights, sites as Airbnb or Couchsurfing can help us to achieve our dreams.

Week 11 [03-09.06.2019] The problem with ecological cars emission in UK

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form. These can be particles of sea salt, clouds from the Sahara and artificial compounds made by people. These compounds often come fr

Week 12 (12.01-18.01.15) Are you an early bird or a night owl ?

Owls are nocturnal creatures. They’re wide awake at night and they sleep during the day. If this sounds like bliss to you, then, like about 20 percent of the population who find themselves most active at around 9 pm, you may fall into the same category as our feathered friend. Night owls often have difficulty waking up in the morning, and like to be up late at night.  Studies of animal behaviour indicate that being a night owl may actually be built into some people’s genes. This would explain why those late-to-bed, late-to-rise people find it so difficult to change their behaviour. The trouble for night owls is that they just have to be at places such as work and school far too early. This is when the alarm clock becomes the night owl’s most important survival tool. Experts say that one way for a night owl to beat their dependence on their alarm clocks is to sleep with the curtains open. The Theory is that if they do so, the morning sunlight will awaken them gently and naturally.
