[Week 7] Game of Thrones

I think everybody knows this series. It's so popular now. Especially when the season 4 began.

I haven’t watched the first episode yet, because I'm waiting for the whole season. I didn't like watching 1 episode and waitingfor a week for the next one. It got me a little frustrated. But I can't wait to see Daenerys. She is my favourite character, but I’m really worried what will happen to her. I know G.R.R Martin are so unpredictable.... But I keep my thumbs up for her, and her dragons. Here are my favourite moments. She is so majestic.

Many people didn't like her, but we must remember, she is about 14 years old! So she is just so young. I think the actress Emilia Crarke that plays Dany is so beautiful, and really is suitable for that part.
There was the famous „The throne” in złote tarasy where were a lot of people. Unfortunately I was ill at the time, and didn't get my own picture in it :<

Another awesome thing about the series, in my opinion, is the Valyrian language. It was made particularly for the book and the TV series. It's similar to Latin in the medieval Europe.

There is also a funny fan production about the Game of Thrones.


Here is a Rap Battle, when I saw and listened to it for the first time, it was so strange, but later I really enjoyed it. I was surprised how they sang and made it.

Here is another production, a series about the heroes of the Game of Thrones but in the “real” world. In my opinion the idea was good, but the ending was strange.

Answering your questions: yes, I'm watching the show and yes, I read the books. I find it quite impossible to answer the third question. Firstly because you didn't specify if you mean the written characters or the ones created by actors. And they differ, in some cases a lot. Secondly, one of the main virtues of the saga is the ambiguity of each and every character. The character that may seem in one episode good, brave, loyal and so on, can turn completely evil in the other. The author plays with us - we can change the perception of the characters many times and still not be sure what to think about them. It's a bit simplified in the TV series, but that's understandable. So I really can't answer your question.

About fan made movies... Nowadays there're so many of them, no surprise only one in a million seems worth watching. But I enjoy some of them, it shows how talented those fans are. But to be honest, some of these people are a bit too obsessed with still just a fiction.

Hm... true, i didn't think about specify about favourite character because my favourite is the same here and here.
Yea, there are so much of them.. But it's still impresive that people spend so much time sometimes to made it.

I don't watch TV series and probably never will. Always thought it's one of the worst ways to waste time. I know many people who watch them though, it's fine, if it's how they like to relax.

I've never read those books in particular. I'm not a fan of fantasy.

It's not that fantasy. Of course, there are dragons and other mystery creatures, but most of it about fight about throne. How People combine to get their goal. What people gonna to do to catch their dream to be King.

It’s hard for me to comment this article, because I never watched Games of Thrones. In general I don’t watch serials. It’s waste of time for me. I have no idea, when people are watching all Tv series. Some of my friends watching around 5-6 serials. Everyone lasts about 40-50 minutes, multiply it and you lose a lot of time per week.

I don’t watch Games of Thrones and I haven’t read books too. However, because there is so many people attract in that series once I watch a few episodes. It doesn't appeal to me. Probably because as Simon I generally don’t watch series. When I was younger it was easier for me to involved in this way of entreatment. Now I prefer to relax differently. I’m also aware that watching series take a lot of time and let say is addicting. That is way I want to avoid it.

I never watched Game of Thrones. I'm not very keen on starting either. There's a lot of praise for the series and the trailers look interesting. Many people that I know have read and watched this story. They think the book is far better and more complicated. I'm just bored with fantasy based on medieval times. I prefer books and shows about the future and space exploration. Fan made movies that are supposed to be serious annoy me but those made for laughs are usually worth seeing.

When I have just a little bit of free time I would love to watch Game of Thrones. I am very curious movie. Unfortunately, lack of time, I do not read books of A Song of Ice and Fire saga. My favorite character from fimlu is the dwarf Tyrion Lannister.
It is a sure escape from everyday life, but sometimes it will otherwise spend their free time.

I don't watch it and I never will simply because I read books and this particular TV series was made for people who never did it I think and to earn some money of course.

Yes I read all of them but now it became so commercialized that I don’t think I will read next one.

Of course, I watch Game of Thrones! This is one of my favorite series. The whole story and the ease with the director kill the main character is staggering. Unfortunately, I could not even begin to read the saga called “a song of ice and fire”, because I do not have time for this, but I promised myself that the next break between seasons, I start to read the first Volume.

My favourite character is Jaime Lannister who is not a good figure, but I think in the last season he has changed. He will not be like before.

I might be alone in this, but I don't like the Game of Thrones. At all. Friends convinced me to see one episode and for me it's not any better than “Moda na sukces” or any stereotypical Brazilian TV series. The only difference is that this one is in medieveal-styled times. I didn't find any motivation to see another episode, since all I've seen were scenes, witch were way to dramatic and way to long. Therefore I haven't tried the books nor have I seen any fan made movie.

I watched 3rd season of GOT, and now I'm waiting 4th to end so I can maraton it. Like you, I don't like to wait whole week to see what will happen next. I didn't read books, but my friend readed them so I know all spoliers :) My favourite character is Tyrion. He is smart and he try to keep living in this cruel world. Fan made movies are quite interesting- cosutiumes were funny :)

I really like the topic. I was just thinking about watching this. Therefore I asked several people about their opinions about this serial. Some said that they really enjoy watching it. They tend to rate it high. It was quite surprise for me that some people said that it was really bad production. Because of that I did not decide yet whether I want to watch it or not. Now after reading this article i think i will watch it. Ps the Rap Battle was pretty amazing. So funny !
