Week 7 [04-10.05.2020] Why do our bodies age?

I have always been interested in how much our habits or the surrounding natural environment affect our longevity. Although the times and place we live in mean that the average life expectancy is definitely higher than our ancestors', it seems that we have already reached the limit point and naturally we are unable to extend it anymore.

Although there are individuals living longer than 100 years, the vast majority of the human species dies earlier. Nevertheless, we are still looking for the secret of longevity.

Have you ever wondered why life expectancy is around 90 years?
In the video below you will learn what processes occurring in our body affect human aging.

  1. Do you think the average age of the population will increase in the future?
  2. Do you think we live long enough? How long would you like to live?
  3. What are your daily habits that can possibly affect your life expectancy?

1. I don't think the average age of the population will increase in the future. Many of us live under constant stress, and we don't care about ourselves. We live very often in the city eating junk food, we eat a lot of unnecessary substances, e.g. dietary supplements. The environment in which we live is becoming more and more polluted. In addition, in the age of pandemic, which is the most dangerous for older people, I think it's unreal.

2. In my opinion many of us live too short, especially cancer patients, unfortunately no effective drug has been invented yet. I never wondered how many years I would like to live, but I would like to live in health as long as possible.

3. I try to eat healthy. I cook a lot and it's not just dinners, I bake bread, I make cooked meat etc. I also spend a lot of time outdoors and walk a lot.
1. Do you think the average age of the population will increase in the future?

In my opinion the average age will not increase in future because we live unhealthy. Most of us have some bad habits like cigarettes, alcohol, junk food etc. Our environment is also unhealthy for example because of smog and it matter in long perspective.

2. Do you think we live long enough? How long would you like to live?

I think for me there will never be enough. In optimistic way i will have 100 years old but this is not real with my unhealthy lifestyle and environment as well.

3. What are your daily habits that can possibly affect your life expectancy?

In last days i started taking cold shower at morning and also i train few times per week but at the other hand i like to party and i smoke cigarettes so... :)
Based on current data and statistics, our society lives much longer than several hundred years ago. If we use this statistic, we can easily say that yes, although as we know medicine is at a high level, hygiene too. Hence, we may begin to wonder if it is by chance that the vitality of our internal organs is not a factor in our longevity. In my opinion, people will live longer in the future thanks to greater awareness of what they eat and physical activity. In my opinion, 100 years is a very long time in which people can do a lot. The problem is that we are afraid of the lack of time and short life very late, so we do not use the life potential given to us completely. I would like to live 80-90 years. I have several habits that can extend my life. These include, among others, checking the composition of the products you buy, exercising outdoors, eating healthy. I also have bad habits like irregular sleep, irregular meals and a lot of stress.

1. Do you think the average age of the population will increase in the future?
Yes, our medicine is getting better and better with each year, unless something really bad happens like a war or other disaster people lifespan should grow.
2. Do you think we live long enough? How long would you like to live?
It would be better to be in better shape for more years then to live longer without energy and motivation for doing various things in our life. I would prefer to live let say 40 years being full of energy and plans with physique I have then living 150 years old when majority of it I won't have a power to simply get up from the bed. For the second question I want to live as long as I a am productive for society and people close to me.
3. What are your daily habits that can possibly affect your life expectancy?
Bad diet and a lot of stress is real damaging factor for my body that I should fight with in the long run. But living in peace with your inner, biological clock helps a bit or at least that's what I believe in. From better habits I try to spend more time in the forest, far from the city and it's toxicity.
1. Yes, I think it will be still increasing, as medicine is still developing. Especially changes in poorer countries will affect the average.

2. I think age as a number is not a problem and it does not matter. The thing is whether we are still able to function properly, without too much help from other people. If you can't walk, eat without help and you have no idea what is happening around you won't be comfortable to live 20 years more.

3. I eat well and I exercise. Diet is very important because obesity is a reason for many later diseases such as diabetes. Exercises are good for the physical state of our body and muscles help it to stay "tight".
Maciej Sadoś said…
1. I'm sure it will. As our medicine is constantly developing and we find more and more ways to extend our lifes. So in the future that average age will go up. Probably not drastically but it will.

2. I think we don't live long enough, we should definitely live longer but only if we could be able to maintain the proper work of our brains and bodies. I won't want to live forever being sick or dumb as a plant.

3. Unfortunately my healthy habits are not so good and I'm working on to improve them. Anyway I eat well and I ride a bike from time to time. But I know it's not sufficient.

1. Do you think the average age of the population will increase in the future?
Yes, I think the average age of the population can increase in the future with the progress in technologies and medicine. Life expectancy over the past few decades has increased substantially worldwide. Medical discoveries have improved many aspects of health care.

2. Do you think we live long enough? How long would you like to live?
I think that we don`t live long enough. Our body is able to live longer, but due to the ecology or unhealthy way of life, we shorten its duration. I have never thought about the exact number of years I want to live. And I also don`t believe that it will be enough for me, I want to live in a healthy body as long as it will be possible.

3. What are your daily habits that can possibly affect your life expectancy?
What about healthy habits, I like swimming and doing yoga. Also, I try to sleep about 7-8 hours and drink enough water every day.

Do you think the average age of the population will increase in the future?

If I understand the video correctly – it is nearly impossible. So … I have no idea. Maybe an out of this world technology will show in a few years, but I don’t think this is a good idea.

Do you think we live long enough? How long would you like to live?

Oh, that’s a tough question - yes and no. I think as there is always something to do, see and learn (and I am a workaholic) I would like to live longer than 80-100 years, to witness all the wonders of the world. On the other hand, I would hate to see my relatives and loved ones die before me, and even if we all were able to live longer, I’m afraid we would get bored. You see, there is something magical about our live that makes us appreciate it more – the fact that it won’t last forever. I’m afraid that by living longer, we would still end up with wasting half of our lives working, and the other half watching YouTube. So, there wouldn’t be a change, only longer period of time to do it.

What are your daily habits that can possibly affect your life expectancy?

I do hope that by changing my diet and trying to work-out for at least 15 minutes a day I will be able to improve my life expectancy and, what’s more important in my opinion, be a happy, healthy grandma completely capable to take care of myself and live my life. I think it’s more important how you live your life rather than for how long.

1. Do you think the average age of the population will increase in the future?

The research indicates that the average life expectancy in Poland currently reaches 78 years, with women living on average over 80 years and men 75 years. In 30 years, the average life expectancy of Poles will increase by about 5 years.

2. Do you think we live long enough? How long would you like to live?

According to scientists, it is impossible to determine a specific limit to the length of human life. It may be that the organism is contracted for about a hundred years, but it is not yet a limit that could not be overcome by technologies that have not yet been discovered. It is difficult to transfer statistical data from previous years into the distant future without knowing what facilities this will bring us, what will change in the treatment of diseases considered deadly today, what inventions will surprise us.

3. What are your daily habits that can possibly affect your life expectancy?

I think that the most important thing is healthy recoil and a frequent self-examination
Viktor Ryś said…
1.
It probably won't by that much, we can see that human lifespan has increased in the past dramatically, but these changes are getting smaller and smaller. There's a movement in science that is treating againg as a disease and trying to actively combat it, but it's controversial.

2.
The majority of old people tell that life is short, so we might conclude that
people don't live long enough, but of course it's all subjective. It all depends on the quality of life, asnwering the second question, I would like to live till 85 or 90, considering my health would be good.

3.
Mostly exercise, any form of movement especially for office workers that sit pronolged periods of life is good and increases life expectancy, also trying to eat good, not processed food is also important.
1. It depends on the scope. The overall average age of the world might stay the same, because the European society which is getting older can be balanced by for example Africa, where the birth rate is very positive. If we talk about Europe, the situation is bad, because we can end up in a country ruled by Muslims as they begin to outnumber us.

2. The longer the better as long as we remain healthy. I think that average of one hundred years should be enough. Diseases are the worst. Human body is our greatest weakness.

3. I don’t think I have any. I don’t smoke and I am not an alcoholic 😊 I definitely don’t sleep long enough, and I spend too much time on front of a computer, both privately and in work. I could also do more sport, because right now I keep my lifestyle very “low-speed”. I don’t do any sport, I’m in a sitting position most of the time and I eat very little to compensate that (that includes almost no water drinking, as I almost never feel thirsty). That’s not very healthy.
1. Yes, I think the population will continue to increase. Currently, the largest birth growth is recorded in Africa. At the same time, there is a very high mortality rate and life expectancy is short. When Africans change their lifestyle or just get the necessary medication and the problem of hunger is resolved, then the African population will increase. This will further increase the population of people.

2. This is a very difficult question. I think you can't answer them directly. I do not know how much I would like to live, but I would like to feel that I had a good life and feel fulfilled at the time of my death. That I could and I did everything in this life.

3. I try to lead a healthy lifestyle. I limit alcohol consumption, exercise, eat healthy foods, I don't smoke and I'm not addicted to anything. I move a lot - I run, play football, tennis. However, I don't play sport because I want to extend my life, I just like competition.
1. Do you think the average age of the population will increase in the future?
Yes I think that avarage population age will increase in the future, medicine is moving forward and lets fight more diseases and detect them even faster.

2. Do you think we live long enough? How long would you like to live?
When I see how old people look I think that we live too long, our body begins to die at a certain age and we feel pain instead of happy life.

3. What are your daily habits that can possibly affect your life expectancy?
I try to eat healthy, I eat much less meat and replace it with vegetables. When I feel motivated I'm doing exercises. And one of the most important decision I don't smoke cigaretes like most of my friends.

Do you think we live long enough? How long would you like to live?
No idea, I am not that into existential questions. I guess, it is individual.
What are your daily habits that can possibly affect your life expectancy?
Not exercising enough, eating junk, spending most of my life by a PC, sleeping either 4 or 14 hours a day... You get it.

1. In my opinion, the average age of the population will increase on African continents, while on the rest it will decrease. As far as we talk about Africa, it is associated with the development of medicine, thus avoiding premature deaths. However, when it comes to Europe and other continents, the average age will decrease due to the "junk" food we eat (I do not mean fast food), life in stress and so on.

2. I think we live long enough, although I would like to live up to 100 years.

3. Many components can affect our length of life. The most obvious of these is drug abuse, stressful life, and eating unhealthy food.
Do you think the average age of the population will increase in the future?

Yes, I think so. It has been happenning for centuries now. In the past people used to live much much shorter than they do now. There were many factors which caused that but in a matter of time people managed to minimize those factors which made them live longer. Yheo ther thing is that countries which are well developed tend to have a much older societies. For example, Germany. Most of the countries seem to go in that direction and I think that will definately make population older around the world.

Do you think we live long enough? How long would you like to live?

I am to young to think about dying already. I don't know how old can or should I be but am sure about to things. You shouldn't live to short but also you shouldn't live to long. Few weeks ago I once again watched "The Green Mile" which final thought made me realize that at some point you might be ready to rest but you won't even if you wish to.

What are your daily habits that can possibly affect your life expectancy?

During quarantine I decided to do something about my health so I started eating healthier and I picked up excercising. That was the best idea that I could have had. I feel much better now and I am sure that this will affect my life expectancy.

1. It will increase just because we haven't got the same good conditions all over the world. So if to make, for example, the level of medicine in Africa like in Europe or the USA, the average age of the whole population will increase - math. Another question is the development of technologies and it will increase lifespan even more. Is there a limit without DNA engineering? Maybe yes, I can't answer exactly.

2. I'd like to live infinitely. I'm not into religion so I don't imagine what is after death and I don't like this situation. With a lack of knowledge about something that is after I prefer to stay somewhere before.

3. Diet, air purity in an area you live, exercises, exclude bad habits, and so on. Maybe tons of habits about which we don't know on a present day.
1. Yes, i think that people are wealthier so they are able to live higher life standard which is healthier.
2. I don’t know, it depends on personal expectations. I would like to live as long as i have fun from life and as long as my body allows me to.
3. Irregular sleeping hours may affect bad my life expectancy.
Agnieszka Duda said…
1. I'm pretty sure it will. Even though there are more and more threats to our health basically everywhere (chemicals in food, air pollution, viruses and so on). Average life expectancy has increased throughout the years and given the rapid development of medicine, I don't see why wouldn't it increase even more. However, we're not immortal.

2. Lack of physical activity, unhealthy food, stress, sedentary lifestyle and various kinds of stimulants (coffee, cigarettes). If I won't change my habits, I'll probably die at 50, so yeah, I think it's about time to at least give up junk food and take up some exercises.

1.Do you think the average age of the population will increase in the future?

Yes, I think that the world keeps evolving and the work of scientists is never done so with time the average age will definitely increase. I guess it is a natural human desire to keep on living and that is why there is always going to be a demand for research on how we age and how to extend our life as much as possibile. These days people are more conscious about health and their bodies, but also the means to do so are more easily accessible so those factors are definitely going to help extend the average life expectancy.

2. Do you think we live long enough? How long would you like to live?

I think we live long enough taking into consideration the current environment that we have created. I think that my desired age of death will change over time, this will depend on what happens to the world in general. If I am healthy and happy I can say I would like to live up to 85 years old, but if in 50 or 60 years the climate change will render life on earth very difficult then what is the point of staying here that long?

3. What are your daily habits that can possibly affect your life expectancy?

I have a few of positive and negative everyday habits. The negative ones are definitely a lot of screen time and lack of physical activity. The positive ones would be eating regular meals full of fruits and vegetables, but also going to bed early - I usually get between 7 and 8 hours of sleep per night. I am not sure exactly to what extend do those habits affect my life expectancy but I sure hope it is long!
1 / In the group of least developed countries, the age profile of fertility does not change so radically. But for them, according to the average version of the forecast, the contribution to the birth rate of younger groups will decrease.

2 / We live very little. And we do not have time. Even in early childhood, the thought of death scared me. Have we come for a miserable seventy years, of which only the first half is not clouded by visible aging and disease? To my surprise, the problem of aging and death worries very few people. Alas, aging and death have very firmly entered our lives. Most people consider them normal. And since they are normal, then there is no need to fight them. Unfortunately, doctors are of the same opinion. Therefore, the formation of the right public opinion is no less important than the struggle to prolong life. But is it possible? Of course, it is hardly possible to live forever in the direct sense - after all, the Universe is not eternal. After two billion oceans on Earth will evaporate, after five - the Sun will turn into a red giant, but even earlier - after four - the Milky Way will crash into the Andromeda Galaxy. I don’t know how humanity will deal with the voiced problems, but I really want to look at them! And you?

3 / First of all, it's a healthy sleep ...
Unfortunately, I need motivation in order to do other things.

Thank you for your answer. I agree with you that our lifestyle is not conducive to prolonging life. You have very nice habits, unfortunately, despite the fact that I have been thinking about it for some time, I cannot mobilize myself for baking bread.

Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately, it is sad that although we try to lead a healthy lifestyle, we have no direct influence on many factors. I used to take a cold shower and felt fantastic, but I gave up when the winter started :)

Thank you for your answer. Definitely hygiene and greater awareness affect the extension of our lives. I have very similar habits to you, unfortunately both good and bad ...

Do you want to live 5 years of your life or 5 times the same year? I once heard such a question and since then I know that there is no point in wondering how long I want to live only how effectively.

Thank you for your answer. You are right that, above all, changes in poorer countries will increase the average life expectancy in the world.
Thank you for your answer. I agree with the statement that our average life expectancy will increase in the future but not very drastically. It is wondering whether it will be easier to maintain physical or mental fitness at an appropriate level to function properly in old age.

Thank you for your answer. It's definitely best to live that long to be able to function properly. And to make good use of our years. I like swimmng too and I am very troubled by the lack of this activity in current situation.

Thank you for your answer. It is definitely better to live more intensively 30 years than not to do anything for 100. The only thing that makes me want to live longer is curiosity about what the world will look like in 100 years.

Thank you for your answer. In the age of ever-growing population, it is hard to imagine that our average age will increase significantly. If we live longer, it is possible that diseases will come and will significantly reduce the number of people in the world.

Thank you for your answer. Yes, I've heard. As far as I remember, most of the frozen people had cancer.
Of course, I think that in future average age will increase. It is blind guess of course but I think that with modern medicines and health care people can live very long already. In the future these things will be even better developed so why our average life wouldn’t be even longer. Do I think that we live long enough? I think we do for now. What I mean is human life is fun and pleasant until we are about 50, of course it depends on person. After that we are getting older which means we get sick a lot more we have problems with our senses and our brain isn’t just as sharp as it was. So I think that for now until humanity will develop how to stay young longer there is no use for us in longer lives because when we are very old it is just not as fun as It was earlier.
Thank you for your answer. However, I think that the situation in Africa will also improve and cause an increase in the average age of our population. Although I have no problems with eating habits and drinking water I have difficulties in
mobilizing for physical activity. If you do not like the taste of water, I recommend adding lemon or mint - then I can drink much more of it.

Thank you for your answer. I agree with you that the situation in Africa will have a positive effect on the life expectancy of our population. I also prefer to live my life with the knowledge that I have used it well than that I just lived.
Hello, here are my answers to your questions.

1. Honestly I don't know, but I do hope that it will. Right now it's very hard to estimate these things, but I believe that progres in science will eventually make these numbers grow, and average human will live longer.

2. I believe we do live long lives, but it could be a bit longer. Most of our time on Earth is spent studying and working, and most of us don't get to enjoy even small part of what our lives can offer us. I don't know how long I would like to live. The best answer I can get is that I would want to live until I'm satisfied with what I did and what I have left.

3. I'd say that I sleep well at nights and eat healthy food, which I'm sure will positively affect my lifespan. I do however spend most of my days in front of computer, but I try to exercise to make up for it.

1. Do you think the average age of the population will increase in the future?

Yes, our society is aging. So the average of our age will be getting higher every year. I don't think 500+ will lower it.

2. Do you think we live long enough? How long would you like to live?

Another philosophical question. I would like to live as long as possible. I relied on the possibility of shortening my life a few years ago, so now I respect every day. Every day of "normal" life is a gift that makes O.K.

3. What are your daily habits that can possibly affect your life expectancy?

I eliminated all the habits that the doctors ordered. Maybe except beer once in a while. So I hope I will survive for a few more years.

1. Yes, basing on historical data human lives are getting longer and longer thanks to well developed medicine and promoting healthy lifestyle which includes taking more care of what we eat and how we maintain our bodies to be in good form.
2. Its hard question, maybe we do live long enough but we age to quickly. Personally I would like to live at least 100 years just to hit that number but under condition that I would still fell vital and full of energy
3. I try to maintain my body well so I pay attention on what I’m eating and I do exercise regularly so this are the things that can help me prolong my life. On the other hand i know that I do not sleep enough as I should maybe except from weekends and I do like to party with my friends from time to time which definitely isn’t very healthy.

Do you think the average age of the population will increase in the future?

Yes, I think we will. With rapidly growing medicine and health-awareness, I bet we're heading as a society to longer living life

Do you think we live long enough? How long would you like to live?

This is a bit tricky question. If we consider prolonging life expectations just as shifting your "death" date, keeping all age-related conditions (like kidneys dysfunction, heart issues) I would prefer not to suffer for extra years. If prolonging life means body aging process slower (i.e. I'll have 20 years old body in my 40') that sounds more reasonable and I wish we could all experience it in society!

What are your daily habits that can possibly affect your life expectancy?

Shame on me, but I act a bit recklessly in recent years taking care of myself. Currently none, and probably many that decrease my life expectancy. The very first thing I should do is giving up on caffeine and nicotine. Tomorrow, I promise™
1.Do you think the average age of the population will increase in the future?
No I don't think it will increase as our life styles and the environment we currently live in does not support it.
2.Do you think we live long enough? How long would you like to live?
I do not think there is specific years which are enough to have life as to why I can't answer how long I would like to live.
3.What are your daily habits that can possibly affect your life expectancy?
-bad eating habits
-lack of enough body exercising
- increasing rates of air pollution in our environment
And many many more
Thank you for your answer. Despite the development of medicine and better habits, unfortunately there are still many factors that shorten our lives and which we have no influence on, for example polluted air. I agree that it is best to live long enough to enjoy life.

Thank you for your answer. Definitely when I asked you how long you would like to live, I meant full physical and mental fitness even when I was over a hundred years old. I also drink a lot of coffee, but mainly because I like the taste. Although I have read that drinking coffee in moderate amounts can have a positive effect on the functioning of our body.
Thank you for your answer. I think that because we learn and work most of the time, we must always try to find time to perform additional activities that will bring a breath of freshness to our lives. I lead a similar lifestyle, I hope that after graduation I will have more time to be outside and do exercises.
1. Answer this question may go in two directions. The first is that looking at technological advances in the world, everything is possible. On the other hand, how we live, constant pursuit of money, stress and an eternal lack of time are unlikely to bode on longevity, even if medicine develops even more.
2. It all depends on the circumstances. If a person dies in the prime of life, but healthy, only death is caused by other factors, it is very sad. On the other hand, if we live a long time, but burdened with many diseases and suffering, it is not good either. I think that the length is not as important as the quality of life. I don't know how much I would like to live. The most important thing for me is to enjoy health as long as possible and to make the most of life.
3. I know that sleep is very important for health, which is why I try to sleep at least 7 hours every day. It's always something.
1. Do you think the average age of the population will increase in the future?
Probably yes, because our medical care will be more efficent and I hope that it will be good all over the world. I also think that people in highly developed countries are far more aware of the affect of eating, exercising being important to their health. I hope that knowledge and some healthy habits will be more popular than they are know.
2. Do you think we live long enough? How long would you like to live?
I think around 90 ish is fine. I believe that life has to end and that is just have the things go on our planet.
3. What are your daily habits that can possibly affect your life expectancy?
I try to keep my eye on what I eat. Sometimes I can't resists eating ice cream f.e. but overall I think I eat quite healthy. Also I like playing football, during coronavirus outbreak I started exercising at home and that makes me feel a lot better. It probably will effect my age if I will manage to mantain it

1. Do you think the average age of the population will increase in the future?
No, I don't think so. Of course it depends on what time we are talking about, but developing countries of a global south are increasing its population. Most populous countries are China and India. More over developing countries are majority, so even if European trend is having less children and population here is getting older, majority of countries will keep having bigger population.

2. Do you think we live long enough? How long would you like to live?
I don't think one can said that people live long enough. It is never enough especially for their close ones, I think people who lose their relatives and loved ones will always think life is way too short. I don't know how long would I live but I hope to live a good quality life.

3. What are your daily habits that can possibly affect your life expectancy?
I think the most possible is the food I eat, especially some fast food which is not good for body, also being dehydrated and maybe working a little too much. It's good I don't smoke and drink because these affect life expectancy a lot.
Do you think the average age of the population will increase in the future?

Yes, with the progress of medicine and technology and science I think that the average age of the population will increase. Who knows, maybe one day we will be even able to beat the death itself.

Do you think we live long enough? How long would you like to live?

I think that living long has only sense when that would be a long life with good mental and physical health. It's hard to tell how long I would like to live. As long as possible in a good shape.

What are your daily habits that can possibly affect your life expectancy?

A good diet, meditation, and physical activity. But I used to eat junk food, smoke and drink a lot, and party a few days a week, so who knows, maybe it will balance things out.

1. In my opinion invention of cure for cancer will be a milestone. After It, the average life time will increase to one hundred years. Modern medicine overcome genetic weakness of some people. Many of us wouldn't be alive, if they would live hundred years ago. It's caused by many inventions in cures and treatment of injuries over last years. I think that next ceiling will be some kind of new diseases.

2. If I would ever lived hundred years I would know is this time is enough. Before, it is hard to say, how long existance would be sufficient. I think the goal is to live as long as self kin and family.

3. I'm still to young for meself to think about life lenght. But I try to not be overweight and overuse extremely unhealthy products. I mean like alcohol, fat and others.
1. I think it will increase. Thanks to better medicine, people will live longer and detect diseases faster.

2. I think that especially in Poland we live too short, other countries with better health care can have average age 7 years higher than us. And I would like to think realistically that people live an average of 85 years

3. I run a lot which can reduce my heart problems, I get up and go to sleep at regular hours and supplements vitamins

1. Do you think the average age of the population will increase in the future?
Of course I agree with that.
The level of medicine is improving every year, especially in highly developed countries.
Medication for serious, even mortal, diseases is being invented. what is more, the level of public awareness about factors harmful to our body increases and we learn what we should do to live longer. For this reason, I am convinced that the average age will increase over time.

2. Do you think we live long enough? How long would you like to live?

I would like to live forever, so any finite life expectancy will be insufficient for me. Generally speaking, the current average age in my opinion is not bad in developed countries like Japan. Of course, in the 3rd world countries people do not live long enough, but this is due to the low availability of medicines and doctors. I am afraid that Poland will soon join these countries. One of the decisive factors in this regard is the high level of alcoholism and the insufficient number of doctors.

3. What are your daily habits that can possibly affect your life expectancy?
As I mentioned in one of previous articles I don’t see any truly bad habits in my life.
For a long time such factor which could possibly affect my live expectancy, was drinking a lot of coffee. In a small doses coffee has some good influence on our health but when you drink too much coffee you can have problems with sleeping and your heart.
As opossite of bad habits I think one of the factors that can have a good impact on my life expectancy is that I exercise a lot, so I think I am in a good shape.

1. It will increase for sure thanks to the technologies that will be invented in near or far future. I don't think our average lifespan can be shorter though, maybe only if our planet will be strongly polluted.

2.I think we live long enough. I don't wanna live for more 80 years as I think life gets really boring when you are old.

3.Eating healthy and exercising can do wonders for your body. I also heard drinking wine and some kind of teas can help your cells die slower.
1. As the medicine evolves the lifespan will increase. Even now we live longer than in the previous century. If other advancements will be achieved, we will be able to hold on a little longer.

2. Time is all we have so it is never enough ;) If I would feel good I would like to live as long as the earth goes, however, as it is not possible to skip ageing I wouldn't want to live in pain or carrying on with dementia or some other disease.

3. I try to eat healthily and workout, I hope it will allow me to be a healthy old lady in the future. I watch my grandma getting older and because of her bad diet in the past years, she now cannot enjoy her favourite foods.
Do you think the average age of the population will increase in the future?
As said in the video. Probably not from biological point of view. Maybe we will create some nanobots that will keeps us alive.

Do you think we live long enough? How long would you like to live?
I think around 90 years is enought for one person. 90 seems like reasonable number of years that i would like to live.

What are your daily habits that can possibly affect your life expectancy?
For sure good diet and taking care of our health and beeing in shape.
1. Do you think the average age of the population will increase in the future?
Yes and no. It depends on some issues like pollution in environment and food and medical development. Progress made in medicine will increase the average age of the human population but diseases and unhealthy life style can make it even shorter.

2. Do you think we live long enough? How long would you like to live?
I think that people live long enough. It's not like our bodies can get older later, so if we could live longer our bodies would be weakier and we wouldn't be able to use them.

3. What are your daily habits that can possibly affect your life expectancy?
Probably my sleeping habits. Insomnia or bad sleeping habits destroys gray cells and long term insomnia causes psychosis and other mental disorders.

Week 11 [03-09.06.2019] The problem with ecological cars emission in UK

The problem with ecological cars emission in UK Since the adoption of the European Emission Allowance Directive in the European Parliament, all car makers have tried to submit. Since 1992, the Euro I standard has been in force, which limited the emission of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. The Euro VI standard currently applies, which limits the series of exhaust gases. These include: hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and dust.   The most significant change was brought by the Euro IV standard. For the first time it introduced the limitation of nitrogen oxides, which are responsible for the harmful compounds of smog.   What is smog?   Smog consists of sulfur oxides, nitrogen and carbon. In addition, solid substances such as suspended dust (PM). Dust suspend in atmospheric aerosols may be in liquid and solid form. These can be particles of sea salt, clouds from the Sahara and artificial compounds made by people. These compounds often come fr

Week 12 (12.01-18.01.15) Are you an early bird or a night owl ?

Owls are nocturnal creatures. They’re wide awake at night and they sleep during the day. If this sounds like bliss to you, then, like about 20 percent of the population who find themselves most active at around 9 pm, you may fall into the same category as our feathered friend. Night owls often have difficulty waking up in the morning, and like to be up late at night.  Studies of animal behaviour indicate that being a night owl may actually be built into some people’s genes. This would explain why those late-to-bed, late-to-rise people find it so difficult to change their behaviour. The trouble for night owls is that they just have to be at places such as work and school far too early. This is when the alarm clock becomes the night owl’s most important survival tool. Experts say that one way for a night owl to beat their dependence on their alarm clocks is to sleep with the curtains open. The Theory is that if they do so, the morning sunlight will awaken them gently and naturally.
